Worth the hype! Worth the queues. Carne asada was my fav. It’s a grab and go type place but loved the tacos, I asked for corn flour as it’s more authentic. Quesadilla was banging too! 🌮

Honestly, this is one of the best Mexican spots I’ve tried in London and I’ve been to quite a few. This place truly stands out. I ordered three Barbacoa tacos, while my partner went for three Caramelo tacos, ( vegan chorizo, a quesadilla, and a bean taco. All I can say is: wow. Just wow. Every bite was packed with flavour, and the barbacoa beef had such rich depth, it tasted slow cooked and perfectly seasoned. You can really tell they care about quality here, and they’re definitely not stingy with portion sizes either. We haven’t enjoyed Mexican food this much in a long time. I’d also highly recommend their limonada. It’s not too sweet and has the perfect balance of citrus and freshness, super refreshing and the ideal pairing with the food. Can’t wait to come back!!! ☺️

Amazing place to go, real authentic Mexican tacos. The house made flour tortilla is so good, but if you like more the corn tortilla they also have it, my favorite tacos: Caramelo, Adobada, Barbacoa. 10/10!

We came in late so they didn't have everything on the menu, but they where super friendly and the bean tacos and quesadillas are super delicious! Can't wait to go back and try the rest.

Absolutely love it. Grew up with great street tacos and visiting little taquerias and I can say this is the best I've hand in London so far. They keep it genuine and simple with meat, some onion, cilantro, and a wedge of lime. Highly recommend the carne asada, the ox tongue, and a michelada to finish it off!

I must for this day and age to have a meal and a drink for under £20 is great value. This place lives up to the hype of good flavours and simple dishes. Friendly staff also! You probably will have to queue for a little but it moves quickly and I was in and out pretty quickly. I don't think the tacos need any extra salsa tbh but they do sell a couple. Would revisit!

Phenomenal, great selection of options including some great veggie ones (go for the cactus). Properly authentic Mexican food, do try and eat in, they have extra sauces available and I'd recommend their homemade habanero hot sauce but be warned it packs a punch.

Well, they had told me very good things about this taqueria. Sadly I'm still looking for an authentic taqueria in London! They were good but they lack a little seasoning and more authentic flavor!

Cool space and ambiance, reasonably priced, but was disappointed that there is only a single vegan option which was good but not great or worth making the trip for on its own, would recommend Club Mexicana or Wahaca for vegan tacos (less authentic but still great and lots of options). Others I was with that ate the other dishes said they were all excellent.

Love the vibe of this place, definitely feels like an NYC taqueria, with the lowkey exterior, paper plates and a simple but effective menu. Tacos themselves are tasty and on the larger side, a little bit heavy on the salt in places but good heat and can definitely recommend the Ox Tongue & cheek. I only wish they had a little help yourself section of salsas & pico de gallo on the side or had toppings like pineapple or cactus to add a little sweetness to cut through the fat. Staff are nice but don’t say much as they seem to be pretty busy round the clock, so don’t expect a chat. Plus there’s actually loads of seating, they have stools in the window and then a basement with at least 20 spots.

This is one of the best tacos in London, and one I keep coming back to. Most of them are soft tacos, but there are a few menus that offer crispy tacos. The stewed beef is very soft, tender and juicy. If you like spicy food, I suggest you choose red sauce, not green sauce. If it's too spicy, there's also the spiciest hot sauce to challenge. Personally, I like the texture of roast beef rather than steak, and I recommend Carne Asada and Lorenza. There are not many seats in the store, only the small bar in front of the counter and a few seats downstairs. Most people eat out, but because tacos are eaten very quickly, if you are lucky, you can easily meet someone who has finished eating and left. There is usually a slight queue, but the flow is fast and the wait will not be exaggeratedly long.

DISAPPOINTED! I was really craving tacos and decided to come back here because the last time I visited (a few months ago), it was amazing. Unfortunately, this time was such a letdown. The food was okay (I’d give it a 7/10), but the cleanliness was a big issue. The floors were super sticky everywhere, and I got a look at the kitchen while they were cooking—it wasn’t a great sight. It honestly made me question the hygiene, which is such a shame because it wasn’t like this before. It feels like the quality has gone downhill, and that’s really disappointing. A place isn’t just about the food; it’s also about keeping things clean and inviting. I hope they turn it around because I’d love to come back, but for now, I don’t think I’ll be recommending this place.

Not bad for a bunch of young local hipsters and not a south American looking member of staff in sight. Good, quick service but a bit cramped and quite pricy really. I've had similar quality tacos at three for £10 in London recently. I doubt I'd make an effort to go again but I might if I was passing.

The food here varies from good to sublime depending on who’s making the tacos. All kitchen staff should be trained to the same level to ensure the product is consistently outstanding.

My review seems to have been removed... Totally over hyped, the chicken place was good, this is very average. I usually love cactus, this was insipid and dull. I kept trying each next taco thinking "ok this will be the one" but no, it wasn't.

The tacos here were so good! There isn't much space inside and it does take a little wait to get your food but it's worth it. Standout was the beef barbecoa

Love Sonora so much that it's hard to resist going every time I'm in Stoke Newington. The tongue and cheek taco is incredible. Always pay the extra 50p for the cheese crust and throw in a couple of the £1-£1.50 quesadillas on the side! The horchata is also delicious.

Great taco restaurant, I used to go to their stall in Netil market lots and love the new place in Stoke Newington which has more seating and more options on the menu. Great super tasty tacos, I really loved the grilled meat ones for the texture aswell as the braised beef and pork.

bar tenders seemed unbothered when you came to the bar and served cocktails with no garnishes which is it was busy i would of understood but there was no one at the bar disappointed coz i work for slug and lettuce and this is not how we serve people

The vegetarian tacos is one of the best in London! The beef ones are good but the meat is not that tender. The place is mainly for takeaway and most options are more beef and pork and one vegetarian. It's mainly for takeaway as there is limited seating downstairs. Staff was friendly and quick!

Probably the best tacos in London. Everything is super fresh and made to order: tortillas, sauce, condiments, meat you name it. I ordered 3 tacos: - Caramelo (grilled beef and cheese) - Cabeza (slow cooked ox tongue and cheek) - Adobada (grilled pork) All of them were very good. Especially the grilled and cheese one, packed full of flavour. The ox tongue and cheek was super tender but lacked a bit of flavour I felt. Same for the pork: I was missing the « grilled flavour ». Great vibe inside and friendly service. Definitely give it a go if you’re looking for some authentic tacos in London. Price point was 14 pounds for 3 tacos, which seems fair.

Best tacos 🌮 in London. Very juicy and tasty! There’s always a long queue, but it’s quick. And definitely worth it. We ordered take away to the park, enjoyed a bit sun and the delicious food. But I know they do have more seats downstairs. The staffs were friendly and nice.

Amazing 🤩🤩🤩 super quick service. Lots of options and a few fresh cold drinks to choose from. The star of the show tho has to be the cabeza taco, slow cooked ox tongue and cheek. It was absolutely unbelievable. Also tried the campechano and a mixed chorizo and barbacoa quesadillas and they were all great. All of that was only £15 so very reasonable. Can't wait to come back and try all of the others.

As a taco lover, it's definitely a hot spot you must try. The tacos aren't too dry or too moist, with plenty of juices and rich flavor.

Best food ever could eat their tacos everyday

These might just be the best tacos I’ve had in London, and this is coming from a Mexican dude. The queue might be overwhelming when you first encounter it, but it’s quite fast moving. Don’t be deterred from trying these, I highly recommend.

Small hole in a wall restaurant with very quick and no frill service, I really enjoyed the vibe as well and it was very packed but in a good way. Went with friends and ordered takeaway and sat in a park nearby and the tacos were incredible. Even the vegetarian one that has cactus was a solid 9/10, while the rest was definitely even higher. Highly recommend this place, especially with the price in this economy? Insane

Absolutely loved the food here. Having lived a couple of years in CDMX this is quickly becoming a new favourite of mine. I highly recommend the Barbacoa taco though they are technically not Barbacoa. ♥️🇲🇽🌮

Some great flavours. Really enjoyed the pulled pork and barbocoa tacos. The fillings on one of the tacos was cold. Queue forms quickly, quiet at opening time. You can sit down stairs but it's a bit grubby and you can smell the bins.

Probably because we had very high expectations! How to start, the place is very dirty, taking into consideration that you are selling a lot you must have someone to clean the tables. The food was bad , very good looking tacos but very dry and not tasty. They gave us just two slices of lime x 7 tacos and the quesadillas didn’t had any chilli sauce. The only good thing was the tortilla and the worst part was the vegan chorizo. Probably good enough to people that don’t really know Mexican food but definitely not worth it! Plus very slow service probably that’s why there is always a line outside.

I usually say that I’ll only eat tacos made by someone’s abuelita.. but, I’ll make exceptions and eat here again. Highly recommend.

Music is rocky. Understated. Tacos - heavenly. My shoulders dropped. It was like I was melting in my chair. I had tears in my eyes… Not from the spice, but from the taste. The meat was really juicy, no matter if chargrilled or slow cooked. The salsas? Perfect level of acidity, saltiness and spice. I didn’t feel my gums on fire - even from the salsa that was kissed by the Habanero. Liked the toasted cheese crust extra - a double duvet for the toppings. My favourite was the Cabeza!! Ox tongue melting on my tongue. The place is super low key. In and out! Prices were really reasonable for London and the portions very generous. Hands down THE BEST tacos in London! Most authentic tacos in the city, hands down. Having previously lived in Texas, this spot is my saving oasis and legit as can be.

Fresh tortillas warm from the griddle, tender carne asada with bright salsa, crunch of pickled onion and the unexpected cheese crust. Chard pineapple on Adobada. Nopales tacos are the real deal, with their unique texture, earthy flavor and crumbled cheese adding a whole new dimension to the taco experience. They messed up our order gave us one taco less and we didn’t realize until we left. but from what we received it was some of the best we have had in Europe and well stuffed. Recommend checking the takeaway box before leaving tho

The tacos here are absolutely amazing! They stuff them way more than other taquerias in London. The corn taco shells are super sturdy, so they hold all the juicy goodness without falling apart. And don't miss out on the quesadillas—they're delicious! The meat is really flavorful with all sorts of Mexican sauces. The only downside is that it's a small place and there's a long queue during work hours. After ordering, you can either eat standing outside or go downstairs to eat. The wait time for the food can be a bit long, and if you're downstairs, you have to keep going up to check if your order is ready.

Best Mexican food in London! Being Mexican, I was looking for the best spot and this spot wins. The meat is juicy and tender, the tortillas are soft and tasty, and the quesadillas have the perfect taste. This place definitely reminds me of the awesome food back home. Definitely recommend if you want the best authentic Mexican food you can find in London.

The hype is real, these are some of the tastiest tacos I have had in London. It was worth my journey all the way from the other side of London, and I got here first in line because it got busy within 5min. The service was swift, and I somehow finished my meal in like 3 gulps. I was half considering to ordering more because the portions are small but reasonably portioned. I had a day out in central and didn't want to be bloated from my feast. I ordered 2 of the pork and the mushroom tacos. The outstanding tortillas was what made the tacos for me, light and fluffy, not too stodgy.

Do not have a picture because I ate them so fast! Barbacoa and Carne Asada tacos were amazing; the Barbacoa was juicy it literally ran down my arm, but my fav was the smoky carne asada. Staff look like they are having fun and music was great. Next time I come I want to try the cabeza and horchata. So worth it.
