Somma Pizza in County Durham

Ordered a Doner kebabThe delivery was within 15mins, food piping hot, with fresh pitta bread and plastic container full of fresh salad wow !! I was surprised how lovely the salad was cut included a wedge of fresh lemon that was a nice touch. and a pot of chilli sauce, tasted delicious, and a good portion of doner meat. I will certainly be back for more thank you. bit over priced on delivery at £3 as i'm literally round the corner.But hey ho.

The title of my review was long thought out.. terrible, avoid. The worst, etc. Were all front runners. Listen we work long hard hours so takeaway food is twice weekly in our house (don’t tell Joe Wicks). The wife is in the medical profession so gets in late now and then and tnite was a late night... so Tuesday night, 10:20pm we ordered a cheese pizza and kebab wrap via Just Eat. Your order will be delivered at 11pm. It’s 11:25 and we give them a ring to see what’s what.... “what do you want” when we called first time. Just wondering where our food is... “with the driver”. So no customer service standard at all, first black mark. It’s now 11:35 so I called back asking is the driver near the address. “No idea we only have one driver”. Customer service didn’t improve with second call. Driver arrived at 11:43 handing over two pizza boxes.. it feels luke warm, oh no.... open the food and it’s worse, only the boxes were warm, the food was stone cold... oh and they’ve sent us the wrong food item!! Some garlic pizza bread thing with cold meat on it!!! We ring back and sternly tell them they’ve dropped one or two bollocks here (calmly I add). “We are really busy” it’s closing time now and still now apology!! Despite the absolute atrocious customer service and very bad delivery service, ignore the wrong food being delivered, the food that was delivered late and cold was bang average even if piping hot and on time. There’s far superior places around and this awful place has too many competitors to survive. Please put this as a last resort type place... Infact look I’m the freezer at the potato waffles that have sat there for 3 month before trying this place. Shocker of a takeaway!!!!

Ordered the pizza through Just Eat at 18:00 and arrived at 18:40, Cajun Chicken Pizza was nice, full of flavour, was just starting to get cold by the time it arrived, needed to heat it up. Plenty of choice on the menu, delivery driver also followed social distancing rules very well, leaving my order on the wall next to the front door.
