Sodo Pizza - Bethnal Green in Tower Hamlets

A quick Google search found this place as we were at the Kids V&A today. So pleased we ate there. The world’s most chilled waiter was happy to bring out a table and chairs so we could sit outside. The restaurant was rammed, so he literally found us a table! Lovely day, so we were happy to sit out. Service excellent Puzzle incredible Sides scrumptious The only negatives…? They’d run out of cutlery! 🤦‍♂️😂. We weren’t too bothered but a fork would have been useful for the sides. And the pizza cutter took a while to come out too, so was sat with 3 young and hungry kids waiting a little longer than I’d have liked. So, please invest in a bit more cutlery, and perhaps some cutters too! Otherwise, my wife classifies this as the “best pizza she’s ever had in the UK”!!! And she’s fussy. But it was great pizza with decent service so I’d absolutely recommend and return myself!!!

Fantastic meal really nice and very tasty, staff very friendly and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend but make sure you book.

Have been to Sodos many times all around London, and every single time it’s great. My most visited pizza place In London for sure. They always have fun pizza specials but the wicker man is my favourite always! Wine is great and not too expensive, cocktails also good and some good beer/cider options too! Have spent many nights with friends here and never hesitate to recommend for the good food and vibes 😎

Des pizzas délicieuses, originales, dans un endroit atypique et chaleureux. Un gros point également pour les serveurs, très chaleureux et souriants.

We had the pickled cucumber with harissa and tahini to start, which was truly standout - came with hot doughy bread to dip and then all our pizzas were so tasty. You could tell the ingredients were really good quality. We got the cheapest wine which was £20 for a bottle and it was fruity and tasted a lot more expensive! Lovely setting with the doors wide open for the warm evening - it felt like being on holiday. Waiters were friendly and happy to accommodate changing toppings and extra sides. Definitely will go back!

This pizza might be good if ordered for dine in but our delivery was awful. Two pizzas arrived cold, with soggy center crusts that seemed undercooked, and they were also uncut. Attempts to reheat just made them soggier. Disappointing and a waste of money

This restaurant is great for more intimate settings (smaller groups of people). The music was set at a very nice volume. The staff were very friendly. The food and drinks were delicious. I take it this place specialises in pizzas over other Italian cuisine but they do the pizzas perfectly here so worth visiting. Will definitely recommend.

Très bon accueil, le lieu est chaleureux, ainsi que l'équipe. J'aurais peut-être un seul reproche... les pizzas bien que très bonnes, étaient un petit peu trop grasse.

My first sodo pizza. I ordered it via Uber eats - the pizza was absolutely delicious, crispy, thin and flavoursome - the blue art with artichokes, Gorgonzola and artichokes. Really good.

One of our favourite restaurants – lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and unbelievably delicious pizza. We’re big fans of the burrata, veggie pizzas and, of course, the tiramisu. Thanks to Martina who is always lovely!

Cracking menu, cracking drinks and cracking service. Cant fault the place! The menu has a selection of pizza with some brilliant ingredients that you wont see at any run of the mill pizza places. Highly recommend this to anyone

Amazing, pun-filled menu of truly excellent pizzas, plus great drinks selection and charming service, make this one of our favourite restaurants in London. Will return over and over. Great if gluten free too - butter bean base is scrumptious!

We stopped by this restaurant which was situated across from our hotel. The authentic Italian pizza were great at reasonable prices. We especially liked their ginger iced drink, which was made fresh (can taste real ginger). The staff were Italian and quite friendly. Our family of 5 (3 tweens/teens) loved the pizza. Would go back again when we are visiting London.

Luckily I had a bit of knowledge about these guys beforehand or I would have never ever found them! It is a lovely venue, aesthetically pleasing, great food and friendly service. The food turned up fairly quickly, the guys were easy to talk to and new the menu well which is a bonus for me when ordering. The pizza is amazing so fresh and light not dense where other pizza can make you feel bloated after these were a great meal before a night of a few beers with a friend. We shared a very meat filled one and then a more seafood based one sorry I do not remember the names of them but they were pun related. I would strongly advise going but would advise booking as it was fairly rammed when I arrived and its not the biggest of spaces. I have seen the other places they have and they look the same kind of size so I would hold this pointer up to the other sites.

Friendly service, fabulous pizza and amazing salted caramel brownies. I would definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Think buzzy, lively, exciting with fabulously friendly waiting staff, and great smells wafting into your nostrils the moment you walk through the door... the pizzas are amazing, and the enthusiasm with which wine matches are offered up is infectious. One of the best pizzas I've ever had (special veggie with smoked cheese in the middle), which looked absolutely beautiful too. Only open Thurs-Sun, but sooooo worth the wait. Thinking about our return visit already.

Lovely service on a Friday night, excellent wine and beer and best pizzas we've had in a long time with sourdough base cooked to perfection! We had the Winter Goat with goat’s cheese, caramelised onion, olives & walnuts and the vegan Mary Jane: Tomato, greens, garlic mushrooms, caramelised onion, roast celeriac, walnuts & chimmichurri... both were fantastic and reasonably priced. The arched dining room has a great atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been nicer.

Had excellent service @sodopizzacafe Bethnal Green last night- the guy who served us found us a space, made sure we had great wine, & pizzas appeared super quick! They were tasty with a good amount of topping (not too much!) and the dough was full of flavour. Relaxed and friendly vibe, busy the whole time we were there! Didn’t manage to ask the waiter’s name but a big thumbs up! Friendly, super professional, & happy- made our night

Sodo’s industrial railway arches ambience is surprisingly warm and welcoming, once you’ve found it: it’s a little hidden away and the approach is a bit worryingly Lock Stock. Staff are friendly, enthusiastic and attentive. Extra thumbs-up that they take the orders directly from my girls...
