Poor quality food wouldn't visit again

It was cold outside and the airconditioning on was inside. Couldn't be turned of even after request. We sat there with coats on.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. This place is a must try. We were very happy with our first visit and will be back again soon.

2nd time have made an order both times got my order completely wrong and item missing phoned restaurant which is pointless no manager available and person on the phone speaks no english!

Very nice steaks, rang in to book a table for ten people and was well catered for. Food was lovely and service was brilliant. Would definitely go again.

Very poor customer service. The guy would not accept Meerkat meal's Voucher. Even though they advised it!. Asked for the manager he would not contact him. Waste of journey. I believe he didn't want to lose money. Very rude very jungli. Typical East end service

My kids are big fans of burgers and generally eat anything unfortunately the burgers at this place were so bad my kids rejected them. I didn't think it was that bad as I was able to at least eat my burger but at the premium prices they charge I expected better. Gourmet burger it certainly is not

Had tried smokin grill when it first opened in lockdown and was impressed by the burger however didn’t think at the £12 it was value for money. I tried the takeaway only menu quarter pounder. I have to say that it looks nothing like the picture and the patty was a ready made plastic tasting piece of meat. Very disappointed and not what I would expect. Overall burger was poor and small fries didn’t make up for it. Tough business to be in but you can’t mislead customers and expect any form of loyalty. Price point is more attractive but the food wasn’t.

Amazing food for the price, really nice setting inside. Also loved the Quran being played in the background made it a peaceful vibe. The waiter was so kind and friendly. I wish this place was more local to me. Deffo reccomend coming here

This is not a review about their food as I have not eater there yet. Four or five times I bought ice cream there with my niece to take away in a small tub. I was there this week and asked for the same. The Asian man who usually serves us was very rude and said we don't serve ice-cream in a tub and it's double the price. I politely stated that I have taken ice-cream away in a small tub many times. The Asian was still rude and said he had never served ice cream in a tub. He was very impolite. Maybe he did not like my appearance? Or was prejudice?

No taste in food.. we ordered 5 dishes n hardly liked any... even mocktails were disappointing 😞.. waste of money

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere

I have always had a passion for food and have eaten out in lots of different countries. Smokin Grills is definitely the most amazing restaurant and takeaway food you will find. The food is so fresh, cooked to perfection and full of magical flavours that you won't find anywhere else. Staff couldn't be more polite and attentive. The ambience of the restaurant is very relaxing and spotlessly clean. The menu is for everyone and has a range of dishes to suit all. Portion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to go again. Highly recommend the chicken tikka wraps, the pulled lamb, not forgetting the pistachio milkshake and Jamaican cola! You must check this restaurant out, you won't regret it!! Thank you Smokin Grills, you never fail to deliver exceptional service and cuisine.

The food and drinks were lovely, freshly cooked and presented nicely. The highlight had to be the pulled beef special. Slow-cooked shredded beef served with steak chips and fresh salad. It was cooked to perfection

The food was very good, we got the sharing platter. Almost everything was tasty and cooked well, chips were crispy. The only item we didnt like was the shwarma - it tasted kind of sweaty. Service was good. Coleslaw was also 'smokin', it was very nice. Milkshakes were good - we had Mars and oreo The portion sizes were good. Ambience could have been better I.e. lighting, background music etc Free parking right outside I would come back again

Booked a large group of 13. The food tasted great and was served in a timely manner. The staff were attentive and accommodating. Will certainly make this is a regular joint.

This was outright the worst food I've eaten this year. I ordered a mixed grill and my friend ordered Lamb chops. After 30 minutes the waitress returned to advise us that they had run out of lamb chops....? We then had to change our orders due to the shortage of chops, chops changed to pull beef. The food came and was incredibly tangy and horribly burnt. The quarter chicken was raw and I hardly heard an apology... The dessert was the worse on the list of disappointments. We ordered cookie dough and they had managed to burn it to a crisp and it was served with the most basic soft scoop vanilla ice cream ( not gelato ), that was riddled with ice, as if it was left out of the freezer too many times. Overall rating would be 0/5 but we have to give a star to enjoy writing a review. Definitely a place to avoid !!!!

Amazing food all round. The burgers are very very good. Top marks! The pulled chicken was incredible and in a beautifully large portion I happily munched it the next day. Keep doing what you do guys! The best we've found hands down 👐

Great milkshakes, amazing fries. Rib eye steak was delicious. No wine for it (or any alcohol) though! On a Thursday evening, it was very quiet - just one more table and us.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the food was excellent! service from the staff was amazing, very friendly and welcoming 🙂... The pulled meat was the best and we would definitely recommend trying that out! we will be back for sure 🙌

A restaurant nice and local to South Woodford/Woodford and chigwell. Incredible inside seating, perfect for family and friend dinners and really good in the day for my work from home spot. They offer a good range in menu options and really good service. Definitely recommend, worth try won’t disappoint.

They served me a raw beef burger they have now gone down I had food poisioning avoid in total.

Sorry but very poorly present and prepared food, ordered the pulled beef lacked any sort of taste and was very chewy and hard, daughter ordered the homemade chicken shawarma tasted like something you would be served at hospital. Atmosphere is also very bland you would have more fun watching paint drying.

By far the best take away in the area. For years now we've needed a take away / restaurant, locally, that you can actually get a decent meal, for a reasonably price. Been here 3 times, first 2 times were really good experiences but the last visit seemed like I went to a completely different restaurant, patty was overcooked and burnt in all 3 burgers, got all of our orders wrong. It seemed like a new chef was in town.

I was really excited to try Smokin' Grill this weekend, particularly the lamb as many halal burger restaurants don't seem to have many lamb options. I chose the Mexican lamb burger and was not disappointed! The meat itself was well cooked and seasoned, without competing with the toppings. The jalapeño, salsa, nacho, sour cream, and pineapple all complemented each other - it's obvious care was taken when crafting this menu. The portion size was very generous, and the burger itself was well assembled in a fresh brioche bun and didn't fall apart. To top it all off, the takeaway was stylishly presented in a recylable box. 25.12.21 I've eaten here a few times since my first review (at the restaurant and takeaway) and have tried a variety of dishes - it has always been 5*. Just adding a photo of last night's Mexican lamb burger which was simply incredible!

Excellent food and service. We tried lamb shawarma which came with fries, salad and naan bread. They also do burgers and steaks. For drinks we ordered Mocktails which were really nice (blueberry flavour 👌🏻) Decor was lovely and has good atmosphere for families. There is plenty of parking

Just received my Uber Eats delivery. The classic burger did not have any cheese, jalapeños, onions or tomatoes - only lettuce and a very soggy bun! I tried to contact the restaurant but there is no answer on the telephone number. First and last time, what a fail.

Have been craving a beef burger hadn’t found a place that tasted as good as Smoking Grill enjoyed my meal Staff are kind, especially Miss Anisha service is quick and food is tasty!

I was pretty surprised at how upmarket this place was, considering the location. The food was very good and staff were very friendly!

Went there with family. Service was excellent from the two girls that work there. Me and my son ordered two burgers - the chicken burger looked a little dry but the lamb patties were off the hook. Scrumptious. Juicy. Flavours of the meat encased. Crusty bits. Just smashing. Wife ordered a T Bone but unfortunately it could have done with some more cooking. We mentioned this and they kindly offered another one but also suggested we tried the rib eye which did. The rib eye steak is one of the best we've tried among this calibre of restaurants in EAST london. Only downer is that they are just too generous with their chips lol wish they gave options for a salad as w had to waste some of our chi ips as it came with all meals. Beautiful decor and a lovely local business to support. They have made an effort and deserve all our support.

When me and my friend entered, we didn't expect much given the adjacent places, but was pleasantly surprised by the decor, and friendliness of the staff. We assumed it was actually a chain, it is so thought out, down to the smallest detail, but finding out it was am independent, was doubly impressed! As for the food, they cater for meat lovers, and all of it was cooked beautifully. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be visiting next time I work in Enfield!

I wanted take away food, but dis not want fried chicken or fish and chips that are next door. Although a sit down restaurant, they kindly prepared the mains to go, and it has to be the best food I he had in ages. We had the lamb shish with chips, and also the wings with tuce. I have already recommended to friends

Staying at best Western and didn't fancy their menu we tried just eat and found these gems. Coming from the Midlands I would actually come back here just for their food. I had the lamb and it was cooked to perfection, like being back in Turkey having a nice shoarma . What a treat, great portions and arrived hot . Stunning guys 👌👍

Very good place and food i recommend

You have a customer for life Needed good quality food, quickly and delivered. I spoke with Yasin, explained the situation and what I needed without even looking at the menu. Yasin established the type of food I was looking for and in his confidence, I allowed him to decide what should be included in the platters. The food arrived piping hot, vibrant and well presented with a variety of types of food to choose from (Yasin went out of his way and purchased some disposable cutlery as well). Unfortunately the food didn’t last long after it was served, everyone really enjoyed themselves, everything tasted so different and the amount of spice was just right (which I forgot to mention). Thank you Smokin Grill, I will be calling again very soon.

Overall good. Food was tasty and the milkshakes are amazing, but the sauces provided for the table tasted odd and the service was a little slow, despite being the only people in there.

I was a little apprehensive due to the slightly higher price I usually pay for burgers and chips. I want to reassure people that it is soooooo worth it. I ordered the AK45 burger. It was delicious! The patty is so beautiful and chunky. The additions to the burger are just the most perfect combination with nachos, pickled onion, melted jalapeno bites and more. The fries are just spot on. So wonderfully crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. This is going to be our regular now. I pray that this business continues to thrive.

Fantastic service and great food, the peri peri chicken is what I liked the most cooked and tested just right and the classic burger 🍔 nice too 😋 👌 Got to say had food here with a few friends, that lockdown is over and I can not understand how nice the food is, and its just round the corner from where I live which suits me well. We had the chops with fries, pulled chicken on top of steak cut chips and a double patty Americano. Well it was lovely 😍😊. Fresh and filling. The host are really nice and helpful. Thank you guys 😊

Burgers and presentation is on point

Visited Smokin Grill this evening with a friend. On arrival we came across very hospitable hosts. They catered to our needs and we're very friendly. The decor is great and the menu is quite extensive and diverse. We ordered the Americano burger meal which was amazing. The meat was full of flavour. We also ordered the pulled beef meal on chips with cheese and salad. The beef was very soft and tender and complimented the rest of the meal. Overall great experience and will definitely go with the family again after lockdown.

I've been here a few times since it has opened and I can say the Americano burger is definitely my favourite

I enjoy my beef burgers but am very picky how they taste. Not many places where I would eat it from but gotta say the Classic beef burger from this place was on point. Ordered a take away with chicken platter which came with chips and rice, also ordered portion of Lamb chops. Quality food and good size portions. Quick efficient service. Will definitely be going back for more.

Ordered a takeaway for the second time from here and was even more impressed than the first occasion! Really lovely food, all prepared with fresh ingredients. The burgers we had last time were as good as any Five Guys... handmade patties in brioche buns, cooked perfectly. I went for the pulled beef wrap this time which was AMAZING! Soft beef brisket with a subtle bbq flavour and a really nice touch of spice. The Smokin fresh salad was really crisp and the dressing worked brilliantly. The portion was huge... enough left over to have with lunch tomorrow. The kids chicken poppers were actual chicken pieces, not the usual processed stuff you get elsewhere, which was a nice surprise. The haloumi wrap was spot on too. The haloumi was breaded and stayed moist and the salad etc was fresh and crispy. We had an assortment of chips but the rustic chips were my favourite. Overall, this was a really impressive meal and I’ll definitely be ordering regularly in future. I can’t wait for the end of lockdown so we can have a sit-down meal. These guys were really brave opening a new restaurant in the middle of the lockdown. I’m sure they will do well and wish them every success!

Thank you for the excellent service and top quality food. A very convenient place to eat, the menu left me spoilt for choice. AK47 burger has got to be top of the hit list so far. A freshly prepared flame grilled peri peri chicken with it's signature jalapeño poppin' shots.

Have been following this on Instagram as I went in to order the food the shop was immaculate inside and out it's a shame wasnt allowed to sit in as everything is so newly decorated I ordered the lamb burger and chicken burger for my daughter with steak chips it was so nice I will be paying regular visits cannot wait till the lockdown finishes so I can go in and eat with family and friends the staff was very friendly and efficient and the place was so immaculate taste was awesome couldn't ask for more thank you for the great food

Just had their classic burger (had the option for lamb, beef or chicken - went for chicken) which was one of the best I've had (and I'm very picky!). Partner had their AK47 burger which she loved - very tasty - as the name suggests it has kick (Jalapeños poppers, Nachos and more all in one burger!). Good size portions! Had to get take away due COVID but the decor looks brilliant so will definitely be eating in when we're able to. Highly recommend it!

Today, I tried Smokin' Grill for the first time, and it was fantastic. Burgers are the best in the area, or even London for the matter. These burgers are at the same level as some I had in Dubai, or even America. They are really tasty, and definetly reccomend coming. There chips, and sides are also good. They are a brand new restaurant, so expect them to work some of the kinks out for the first couple of weeks. The ambiance and decor is also nandos level. Will be coming back here on a weekly basis.
