Visited tonight with work colleagues. Amber and Robyn behind the bar really went above and beyond the call of duty. Top customer service and super-super helpful. Nice place, lovely people.

Love , love , love Smoke . The best breakfast place in our area by far . So friendly and accommodating. We always take our small dog with us when dining and they go above and beyond , 5 star service, 5 star food .

I called at the beginning of December to book a table for six on New Year’s Eve. At the time, I was offered the option to purchase tickets for their New Year’s Eve event, which included a drink and nibbles. However, I chose to opt for a sit-down meal instead. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were asked for event tickets. I explained that we did not have tickets, as we had booked a table for food. We were then informed that the kitchen was closed and that their plans had changed after I made the reservation. When I asked why I wasn’t notified, especially since they had my contact information, I was told they weren’t sure if I had already been informed. The bar staff did nothing to resolve the situation, offering only a half-hearted apology and stating there was nothing they could do. As a result, my party and I were left without meal plans at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. We were extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

Booked a table for 6, arrived only to be told they were not serving food despite having our booking for weeks. When I questioned the bar staff they said there was nothing they could do and proceeded to laugh with the manager behind the bar. Book at your own risk.

Excellent food, excellent service, reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Lovely setting on the terrace, sat in the sunshine.

I go to Smoke all the time. It is a great place for many reasons. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is nice, especially since it is connected to the Smokehouse. It is waiter service so you don’t have to queue. It opens early, which suits me as I wake early.

You pay for what you get. And the brunch was excellent. Large portions of excellent food, really good coffee and top service. Highly recommended.

Called in for Sunday brunch and wasn’t dissapointed. The bacon and sausage are really tasty and the black pudding is outstanding. Just one gripe really that they don’t do baked beans but a 3 bean mixture which just ain’t the same unfortunately. Somethings just go together such as tea and toast so the same goes for Heinz baked beans with Sunday full English! Service is great and dogs are allowed in also. Sunday papers are available freely so to sit and read after a great brekkie then good pot of tea to relax with - what more could you wish for…..

Friendly staff, dog friendly and good menu. Bit pricey when you piece together the individual items on breakfast menu but decent food. The availability of Stornoway black pudding a bonus but disappointingly under cooked (it needs to be well cooked to go flaky/break up due to fat content that's what makes it the best black pudding going), the smoky beans were pretty horrible....trying a bit too hard.

We did not eat here so can not comment on the food. Good service, nice drinks Welcoming staff Slim girl with glasses was spot on. Made sure are table always had drinks including checking if our son wanted anything and making sure dog had water. Will we be back???? Once again good food but mediocre albeit pleasant service We were only people on middle floor; maybe 4 tables in whole restaurant occupied Had to go down to bar to order more drinks with our food When we'd finished some of our plates taken others just left ; not even asked how food was We would have ordered dessert and coffee if we'd been asked You've probably lost about £20 in revenue

Lovely surprise. A pleasant simple menu, and a great atmosphere. The staff are brilliant - just so pleasant and helpful. They are obviously proud of the place, and rightly so. When the food arrived, you can tell it is made with decent ingredients; no corners are skimped. The other customers are comfortable and friendly - the whole place is conducive to relaxed informality. And… the beer is very well-kept. I honestly cannot fault this place and shall return.

We came here for the first time on Friday evening and had a great time. The food was delicious and great quality, the service was great and so friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic! Great for a casual night out with friends with drinks. We loved it so much we were back for lunch a couple of days later!

Often in here until my friend retired and I'm now introducing friends to this delightful café bar. Ordered downstairs and climbed up to the attic. Always apologise but the waitresses are fit and two flights of stairs is not an issue. Big pot of Early Grey tea and a chat/ business meeting(!) on the sofa. Never had a proper drink here but really should, after work maybe. Hopefully with a few more reviews, Smoke will move up the rankings and get the recognition it deserves.

Myself, my boyfriend and his family came here for breakfast in January for my birthday. All I can say is what a fantastic place. Service was great, food was amazing. Something for everyone. We even had a 2 year old with us who eat and was good as gold. Gorgeous place, will definitely be going back!

regulars and we take the dog in, we sit in the window and love the build your own menu and the brunch. everyone is friendly and the staff always speak. great place and get for Wilmslow. we haven't been in the evening but will do. love the decoration and the atmosphere is always buzzing.

It's good to see that Smoke has now been registered here as a café as the original listing is under the 'Things to do' section. We come here often and base ourselves in the attic, there are 3 floors. The staff are friendly and are always happy to come up to take our order rather than on the spot as we enter, even though we do offer. The ambience is really good; it's warm with a well designed interior and there are plenty of types of seating We used to use some of the 'chains' in the area but you lose time queuing and they just don't clear the tables often enough. I've never eaten here but it's always busy at lunchtime so that must say something.

Brilliant build your own menu, the food choice is great and allows you to create the perfect meal for you with the best ingredients. Ended up coming twice in one day for brunch and a late lunch, the food was so good. Serves great coffee as well for coffee lovers. Had a lift at the back for anyone with prams/wheelchair

We visited here as both a couple for an evening date night and with our children for brunch; on both occasions we have been really impressed and Smoke has certainly cemented itself into our growing favourites list. For the date night we ordered a few of the smaller plates and drinks. The staff were really helpful, whilst knowing when to visit the table and when to leave you alone; a skill that not many have but that Smoke has refined to a tee. I really can’t compliment the staff enough! The food itself was really nice and the portion size was perfect, we left feeling neither too full or still hungry. We chose to sit on the first storey, although there are seats by the bar on ground or a snug on second floor for those looking for either a more lively or intimate setting. The setting was lovely and chilled, with music loud enough to hear but so that we could talk without raising our voices. A really lovely evening. For the brunch, all four of us chose the ‘build-a-brunch’ option; again the food tasted amazing and we didn’t have to wait long at all. The staff were as equally brilliant with the children as they were with us on our date night previously. Smoke is slightly more expensive than some of the other options available in wilmslow but please do rest assured that it is worth every penny in the quality of service and food. A great find!
