**Review: 3/5 Stars - Chicken Burger** I recently tried the chicken burger at Smash On Trent, and while it was an okay option, it left a lot to be desired. The chicken patty was cooked well, but it lacked flavor and was a bit on the dry side. The seasoning was heavy on the salt, which made the overall taste a bit one-dimensional. The bun was soft, and the toppings were fresh, but they couldn’t really balance out the saltiness. It's not a terrible choice if you're in the mood for something quick, but the food quality and seasoning need some refinement to really shine.

I recently visited SmashonTrent burslem and was incredibly disappointed. To start, the fries were stone cold and tasted as hard as nails, like they’d been sitting out for hours. The rest of the food didn’t fare any better—it felt like eating cheap junk food or cafeteria-grade meals. For the prices they charge, I expected fresh, hot, and flavorful food, not something that felt carelessly thrown together. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a decent dining experience. Big dislike !!!!

been going here for a long time normally staff are amazing and friendly and food is amazing, however been here just around half 10 and I ordered a dirty burger with a croffle and it took around half an hour to come and when I opened it at home the burger didn’t come with any chicken on it so it was just a normal burger with cheese on. Guessing they did this as cooking the chicken may have took them over 11.

Really tasty food, I was served by Kieren who was very friendly, he made an amazing Philly steak and a chicken burger meal. I would highly recommend , I'll be coming back very soon

usually quite nice but it gets worse eachtime, just ordered two wraps and both came wrong, drinks always have more in the drinks bag than the actual cup and the loaded fries were just covered in cheese sauce

Well, well, well, what can I say about smash on trent? I visited today as I have seen it on Facebook. I can tell you what I wasn’t disappointed. I love the vibe This place is giving out these new style burger joints are great and loving the smash burgers. Place was nice and clean and staff were friendly. Massive menu to choose from. I just asked him for a burger just having a snack I was presented with a massive burger with four patties in a brioche bun with a nice bit of lettuce and tomato. It looked amazing. The burgers were hanging out the side of the bun. I took my first bite and there was an assault on my tastebuds. It didn’t stop there. I could taste that burger for a good hour afterwards. It was nice and juicy but Also crispy and nice charring And caramelisation going on it was truly flavoursome. I would 100% recommend this place and I will be cheating on my diet. I did forget to take a photo but what’s left and the packaging was great as well.

Missed a meal off for delivery ended up picking it up ourselves offered a milkshake for free but the meal was luke warm and really hard to eat crunchy food looks like they had missed it off and was still there very expensive would not order again even though the reviews were OK

Solid burger place in Fenton. The down-to-earth burgers are tasty and satisfying. Milkshakes are rich and generous. Staff is attentive and helpful. Good option when you crave for a good burger.

Bad service, take too long to make delivery and keep the drivers waiting outside even in the rain, and the staff behaviour really bad with drivers.

Traveled down to the water park from st Helen’s today and called in for food after seeing the video from rate my takeaway on YouTube we weren’t disappointed the food was brilliant the service was great definitely call again when I’m in the area thanks guys x

This place is very cheap for the amount and quality of the food you get. The atmosphere is great music is new and up to date. I had to wait a little bit for the food but it was all made fresh.

First and last time I ever order!! Placed an order through Uber eats around 18:50. After waiting hours I rang the restaurant up at 21:00. The guy on the phone couldn't find my order and when he did he said "oh its just been bagged up now". So I informed the Uber driver who'd been waiting for an hour that the food was ready. Turns out it wasn't ready because the driver got back in touch to tell me it wasn't. So he got fed up of waiting and Uber eats then cancelled the order at 21:10. Abysmal customer service. Never even got an apology for the 2 hours and 20 minutes wait for absolutely nothing.

First time today, used Uber eats Buy one get one free on the Double Trouble burger Delivered on time and nice and hot Burger was outstanding, tasted like proper steak meat, fries were meh, bit soft but I guess it's hard to get them delivered crispy Really enjoyed it and would recommend 5 stars guys

Ordered thru Uber eats and normally have no problems but today when I ordered there was a promo on but when I got the food there was 2 burgers missing and when I contacted Uber eats they had said that I can’t get a refund so not happy with this

First try of Smash on Trent and omg I am in love with their food!!! Burgers were amazing had cow and bird, loaded fries are really loaded everything so flavourful and most importantly not greasy. Staff very friendly and helpful, everything tasted so fresh, Moistened hand towels for finished clean up Will definatley be my choice for a burger from this day forth!! Well done Smash on Trent

Never had a bad experience here; the staff are always so lovely and the service is great. Food is served quickly, piping hot and it’s never been bad. So much choice and a great vibe all around. So many options, depending on what you are wanting. Seasonal specialties are visible and all add a new twist to a burger, fries or drinks. I would 100% recommend this place.

We normally order takeaway, but treated my teenage son to a physical visit tonight following a climbing session. Absolutely fantastic! We were going to go to burger king but opted to visit Smas on Trent and it did not disappoint!! We had a dirty burger each and a portion of fries between us (more than enough fries!). My son had a jaffa cake "crunch" cup milkshake, which he seemed rather pleased with, and I had a kinder Bueno "crunch" cup milkshake which was divine! Will definitely be visiting in person more often!

Loved the vib , quicker then expected if you wanna know what is like think five guys but better more choice crazy mix of topping for you burgers and it works soooo well always asking the wife to do this as the special take away night

Authentic American gourmet/deli food. Better flavour and value than more expensive chains like Hickory's smoke house, hands down better food. Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely be coming again.

One of the best burger places I've ever been to! Have been plenty of times now, and can easily say their Dirty Burger is very fillling and tastes incredible. They have the best Sundaes I've ever had, and I truly can't get over the Brownie Sundae!! The place has an incredible atmosphere, and lovely staff. I can't recommend this place enough!

Milkshakes from here are banging. Food is also really good but you mainly go for the milkshakes. Still one of the better burger places I've been.

We've driven past Smash on Trent on our way home many times but finally decided to try it tonight - woww! Fabulous food, great service (a special mention for Kieran who made sure we were happy, but all the staff were friendly!), very clean premises and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back! Our burgers were enormous and one portion of fries was enough for the two of us. All the food was freshly made to order, and nice and hot (unlike another famous burger place). Highly recommended.

I just had my first meal at smash on trent and I was pleasantly surprised! The amount of food I got was more than satisfactory for the price. The burger tasted great and the two lady servers were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning very soon ☺️ best burger in stoke on trent 👌

First time trying smash on Trent today after seeing there videos on Snapchat. We absolutely love a five guys but sometimes it’s just not worth the journey! Don’t think I’ll be making the trip to five guys anytime soon as this is 100% on par with five guys😍

First time I had from here was truly amazing food! But the last few times the quality is just slacking more and more :( … tonight my dessert was so squished the lid was cut into it .. my sauces were opened and so squished one had gone inside the other and let’s just say what a mess. No wipes or anything like they used too. Just really gutted tonight 😔 I took a star off tonight when I’ve just finished cleaning it down to next to no cheese inside on my steak fries so yeah not very good tonight guys

We visited Stoke on Trent with the kids and ate here. Kids loved it. Decent portion sizes. Ordered more than we could eat but highly recommend.

Got siracha loaded fries. Sauce was at bottom and chicken bites were one of them frozen ones that taste horrible was expecting fresh chicken for the price I paid. Won’t b ordering loaded fries from there again.

Regular customer but can't remember leaving a review before. We've eaten in, taken out and also had delivery. The food is delicious. Best hotdogs I've had in years. My son loves the Philly Cheese Sub and the Sombrero Burger as well as the Cheesy Onion Rings and the Cheesy Bacon Fries. The Milkshakes are so lush and creamy. The staff are always so pleasant, polite and helpful. Cannot fault the place, we love it!

Smash on Trent has become quite popular in the local area for its smash burgers and has been a go-to spot for many. Curious about the quality they were serving, we decided to pay them a visit. [For a quick summary, please read the last paragraph]. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. Although the tables were full, the lady at the counter assured us that a table would be available shortly. This inconvenience was quickly resolved, and we were soon seated at a freshly cleaned table. After browsing their expansive menu, my brother and I made our choices. I opted for the “Double Bird Burger” with extra spicy flavour, while my brother was intrigued by the “Dirty Burger.” We also decided to share the “Sticky BBQ Loaded Fries” and selected "Hot Sauce" as a dip. For drinks, we got an “Irn Bru” and a “Blue Mist,” though we won’t be reviewing the drinks. The service was impeccable, deserving a 5/5. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed the black and white décor. The seating was comfortable with easily accessible tables, though another table could be added to use the available space. Monitors displaying the menu were lined up horizontally to our left, and the neon signs added a gorgeous touch, creating an exciting atmosphere. I’d rate the décor a solid 4/5. Our waiter brought our food promptly, serving us with a smile and answering our questions. This level of service is unforgettable. The burgers came wrapped in tinfoil in half a box, and the loaded fries arrived in a circular cardboard tray. The presentation before unwrapping the burgers was impressive. However, this soon changed. As I unwrapped the “Double Bird Burger,” it was a complete mess. The burger had no shape, the bun was crushed and soggy, and the chicken steaks were too large for the bun to handle. Despite this, the flavour was excellent, with great spices. I just would’ve preferred to eat it blindfolded. This gets a 3/5. On the other hand, my brother’s “Dirty Burger” was named correctly for all the wrong reasons. The burger was tasteless, with bland chicken strips. The beef steak was not smashed properly, resulting in a boiled texture with no significant flavour. My brother ended up taking a large piece of my “Double Bird Burger” to enhance the taste of his own. This was a truly abysmal burger, earning a 1.5/5. Finally, the loaded fries were the highlight of our meal. They were among the best BBQ loaded fries we’ve ever had, with the sweetness of the sauce and the saltiness of the chicken working in perfect harmony. This dish was the standout of our dinner, receiving a 5/5. As we finished and said goodbye to the lovely staff, we felt that the establishment was halfway there. They had some great and equally terrible options. The "Bird" burgers were flavourful, unlike the disappointing "Cow" burgers. Ironically, the meal was saved by the loaded fries. Due to this inconsistency, we can only give them an overall score of 3/5. Local Guide Out.

Came here after a charity sports event, Great atmosphere. Food was very nice, I ordered the dirty burger for about 8.95, burger was nice, both chicken and beef patties tasted great, and overall it all went together well, recommend highly !

Tried this for the first time today at 1220. They usually open at 4 but now open at lunch time. Husband had the Dirty burger and I the philby sub and sweet potato fries and a larger drink. Honestly the best burger I have had in a while. Very filling and definitely worth it as between 12 and 3 they do a lunch time offer/discount. Will go again.

New packaging for fries is excellent so fries stay crispy and crunchy but they were only luke warm. The slow cooked brisket sub is amazing: it’s my favourite thing on their menu. Edit: slow cooked brisket chewy, inedible and disgusting. Unacceptable. Gutted. Had previously raved about slow cooked brisket but both tonight’s brisket dishes were fatty and chewy and definitely not slow cooked or tender. A total rip off and this should be of huge concern to owner as I am a long term loyal customer or I was… what a shame. (23/6/24)

This will be a long opinion - as long as my memory of this place 🩷🍔🌭🍟 I will write it in Polish and I hope that uncle Google Translator will do a good job later 😁 During my ten-day stay in England, I managed to visit or order online from several local eateries. This is the only one that inspired me to write an opinion - I only leave it when I am really satisfied with the services provided. That's what happened in this case :) From what I found out, this place mostly serves takeaway and delivery orders, but there is also a place inside for stationary consumption of delicacies, the selection of which is very wide. Both main courses, side dishes, desserts and sweet drinks. I won't go into much detail here - take a look at the menu, I've attached it in the photos. Without hesitation, I can admit that I would not hesitate to pay more for these delicacies, because the prices were really low - considering the quality and portion size. Especially since I visited the place during the hours when there was a 20 percent lunch discount. We chose two burgers (Smashed BBQ and my wonderful Crispy Beef, with delicious sauce and lots of roasted onion) and a classic hot dog (again, a great combination of sauce and onion - this time in the classic version, not roasted), as well as our favorite fries from sweet potatoes, the portion of which was huge. The meat in each dish is of very good quality, the rolls are exceptionally crispy and, most importantly, warm. For dessert, my brother chose the very intensely flavored White Kinder Bueno milkshake. It was so big that I had to (with the greatest delight) help it consume it. 🤤 The icing on the cake was the very nice, always smiling and helpful staff. We were asked if everything was OK and, despite our willingness to pack the unfinished takeaway portions ourselves, the waitress offered to do it. We took advantage of this option and received an aesthetic bag with tightly packed food. The stay was also made more pleasant by the modern and eye-pleasing interior design. I highly recommend this place and thank you for the great service and delicious dinner 🩷 PS. In the evening, I reheated what was left in the oven and it was still delicious. So thank you not only for lunch, but also for dinner 😂😁🩷

Went in for the first time yesterday, I was very impressed, it was very clean and a really nice place. The atmosphere was as good and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the dirty burger, cheesy fries and a soft drink, you can dine in and they do milkshakes which the kids would love. The takeaway is served in nice boxes. I’ll definitely return

1st time trying the food from smash on trent with uber eats. The food was absolutely spot on, tasty, not greasy, and hot on arrival. It was delivered within the correct time frame. No it's not the cheapest takeaway but definitely well worth it. Will be ordering from here again

I recently visited a shop and found that the quality of food and packaging was good. However, I did notice that the service could use some improvement. The car park is quite small and is shared with a neighboring supermarket, which can make it difficult to find a parking spot. Additionally, the shop has a few steps that need to be accessed from the car park, which may be a challenge for some customers. Lastly, I think the workers could benefit from being more polite and professional. Overall, I had a decent experience, but I believe there is room for improvement in these areas.

We went last night for my son’s birthday meal. Awesome people, awesome place and awesome burgers, fries and shakes. The best burgers we have ever had. It’s more of a take away place but they accommodated for us to eat in and made my son’s birthday special. Would highly recommend this place. Loved it.

Well it certainly lives up to the hype. After our social media has been packed with smash burgers, we thought we would try. Food tasted amazing, portion size is very good, service was brilliant, food wasn’t greasy, loaded biscoff fries were lovely. Only thing I must mention is both of our burgers were squashed, it wasn’t from transit as we held the box still, must of been how it was packed. Either way, would very highly recommend!
