Popped in for a quick bite, couldn't fault the food at all - piping hot and tasted great. The service was on point, staff were very accommodating, see you all again soon!

If you want the best mocha in town, seek out Dale, Haydon or Nathan, what absolute legends - perfect to the final sip, would recommend to anyone. 10/10 Would also recommend the 'home run' burger especially on a Friday, the chicken tikka, beef lasagne and steak and ale pie are also very good. Nice and attentive staff, clean tables and lovely atmosphere - will keep on visiting!

Excellent service. Was so easy to order and the food was well cooked and delicious. The barman matt was quick and efficient, but still took his time and made us feel like a valued customer. Also when our child was upset, he came over with the childrens activity paper to help cheer him up. Wasn't hounded with questions about our food but a quick check was nice, sometimes it's frustrating when you get asked 3 or 4 times how the food is so that's nice.

Fantastic meal and service as usual. Will be back in summer to sit on the balcony in the sunshine.

Visited for lunch today and the food came out exactly as described, all the food tasted lovely and came out hot. members of staff worked really hard and constantly busy keeping the customers happy and looked after, Keep up the great work see you again soon.

Really friendly staff on arrival, happy to chat and made a fuss of my dog. Had a great meal, was lovely sat outside in the sunshine for a drink afterwards too. Will be back!!!

Great food, great value and great service - it's GREAT!!!

This place for many years was always a great little goto place with friends or family as always something for everyone and nothing for anyone to be upset about. In recent months it has become very hit and miss but yesterday properly took the biscuit. The reason that this rating is as high as 2 stars is because the guy that was out front greeted everyone that arrived and was very pleasant. You can see from my pictures that maybe half the mixed grill was partially grilled or not at all and the Chicken and Sausages especially tasted dreadful. The Steak ironically was over cooked!! The butter served with the Bread and Butter was disgusting and tasted more like margarine. I asked what it was and the picture I was shown was a brown box that had written on it "Greene King Salted Butter". The server was informed of the above and took one sausage back to spend an extra 5 minutes on the radiator but at the end of the meal when pretty much everything was left just apologised. Spending £44.40 and yet again not receiving an acceptable standard doesnt seem to bother them as it has become normal for them. This is why so many places are closing because customers are sick and tired of being fed like dogs and disrespected. This place needs a strong management team and a good area manager that is going to take this once great place back to how it was. Just because a place is sometimes busy doesn't make it good. I never saw it so quiet yesterday with just 3 other tables occupied. The kitchen staff were all absolutely filthy and if I had seen the state of them before ordering I would have left. Those basic standards not being met and having no self respect has a knock on effect. It was like a classroom with no teacher. On a positive note, the toilets were clean.

Matt was really helpful and kind as always. We enjoyed our meals tonight. Thanks Jake the steak, they were lovely.

We popped in on a Monday during half term, we were lucky that they could find a table for us, it looked fully booked but the staff were very accommodating and constantly smiling! The food was really nice too

New to the area but, sadly, very disappointing. It seems if you use a voucher you get a sub-standard meal and they don't check back to see if you're happy with your meals then, unlike others around you. When I asked why they are serving sub-standard meals to some, not all customers, he had no answer. Avoid.

Went in last night. Had matt serve us. Cheerful guy. Lol, he knew my name. Foods always good for the price there. We go alot . Sizzler is always a good option. I've had a stomach op meaning I can't eat much. They don't question me having a kids meal. It's a family place but sooooooo many kids running ragged. Shame. Still, nice few hours and the quiz Is great fun

Picked up a great deal with meals for a fiver. To be honest there are usually deals to be had. It felt a nice little treat for a great price. Best part... no washing up!

We have dined here for years and never had a bad experience, Matt especially has been really helpful and accommodating for my families requests and we look forward to visiting again soon!

Food came out looking ok but that's as far as it goes. Pea's cold. They don't know how to cook steak, asked for rare and it came out well done. Asked for another one rare and it came out still walking on the plate and dry. Toilets do not look like they are regularly checked and when staff walked behind you it felt like u was on a bouncy castle. Would I recommend this to any one No.

Been here a couple of times now the food is always really good. Really good value for the money and even though they was busy still managed to get a table. Nice play area outsude for the summer would def recommend.

On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly smiling staff, he showed us to our seats and explained we need to order at the bar. The bar staff were very helpful and explained that as they were busy the food may take a little while, we were pleasantly surprised when in less than 15mins our meals were served The steaks were cooked to perfection as were all the meats on the grills. There was no scrimping on accompaniments on each meal. The drinks were reasonably prices. To top off our meal 2 of had desserts which were amazing. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely come back and definitely recommend. A1 staff A1 venue A1 food 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Freezing cold in restaurant. Ordered our food and drinks. Coffee was brought to our table and spilt all over my partners lap. Waiter apologised however cleaned the table before making sure my partner didn’t need a cloth. He went back to make my partner another drink, no offer of a refund or anything. We asked for a refund and left. Will not be returning

Went for a breakfast with my mum girlfriend and children and was very disappointed firstly was not happy about the price of the drink £4 for Fanta and got half a pint in a pint glass and when questioned was met by that is how it is secondly the two cornflake chicken burgers we got was the size of a McDonald's saver burger menu I use to think the value for the food there was good not anymore very dissatisfied

Had an evening meal which was excellent, so we came back 2 days later for breakfast which didn't disappoint either. Staff very polite and friendly

Good place to take kids. Big plates of food for not very much. Adequate free parking. Daily specials available on the already reasonable prices. Outside play area for kids. Good choice on the Saturday specials . Only £10 each for more than we could eat.

Came for my sons 10th Birthday and tge staff were amazing.

Food is really good value for money. There are 6 of us and we all had a main meal, a sharer stater, a few side dishes and had two drinks each for £90. The food was lovely all played empty and staff very kind and accommodating

The place needs a refurbishment it is awful chairs broken carpet dirty to be honest the place is in need of TLC facelift well the food is awful cold dry and not worth Paying for one bar staff having to cope with taking orders and drinks on a Sunday joke need to get rid of the blonde manager that wanders around looking busy doing sweet FA chefs out side patio smoking never will return I’m in this trade and prehaps need to replace staff and up the wages to get decent staff what u have is a joke

Great value for money, decent size, hot, and plenty of choice on the menu. Clean and tidy plenty of parking and seating. Staff friendly and helpful. Cocktails premade and definitely weaker than they should be, so not value for money.

I'm sick of the same issue. It used to be a good place to get a cheap meal. But my severely disabled adult son who also has challenging behaviour only likes the fish and chips they do. We used to eat in there a good few times a year but early last year their fish fryer was broken so he couldn't eat anything. We called back a few times and the fish fryer was still broken (it had been broken for 10 months by now). Anyway last summer we called up and it was fixed so great news. Went back a couple of times and it was broken again. Again so we couldn't eat because my son got so upset it was impossible. I called back a couple of months later and it had been fixed so we ate there ok. Anyway it has been nearly a year now since we ate at The Sloop and decided to pop in and make use of their latest promotions which the fish and chips was part of thinking there would be no way they would still be having the same issues as we have encountered in the past. And guess what? Yes that's right the fish fryer is broken again!!!! So my son flipped out screaming and yelling and we had to leave without eating again. We have been using this place over the years without issue but now it is beyond ridiculous and unprofessional and I just keep feeling like I am being lied to by them. Well that was the last time for me and my family.

very good value meals especially if you are on a low budget, good value for families with children, lots of good food choices and deals on every day. Staff always happy and friendly, food times generally very good timing from ordering, quality of food is much better than Wetherspoons or sizzling pubs

We found this place while on holiday Torquay 5 minutes away from caravan site brilliantly, cheap deals and staff where all polite would definitely pop in again next time down

Lovely little place and a nice playground for the kids to play in. Food was fairly cheap but really good.

Words can NOT describe how bad it is in here. First off we got food and it arrived wrong and missings items. Then we went to use the toilets and OHH MY GOD the mens was like nothing you have seen. Urinals ALL fully blocked with tissue and other such matter, so pee was leaking over the top and on to the floor then the actual loo had poo on the seat and everywhere bar the bowl. Then to finish the lot off there was a lovely used pair of pants on top of the sisturn. We told a member of staff and they nodded and walk in the other direction. I then finished food and went to order a drink because the chicken I had was like eating SAND and I was ignored even after I asked point blank for a drink.

We have been to Sleep Inn many times now. The everyday deal is amazing. They have got some good vegan options as well. The service is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good play area for kids, spacious dining, affordable. Overall I would say it’s a must visit place. The place is always lively and full. Recommend pre-booking for bigger groups.

Came back for a second team and they have a new menu and there are some nice additions. The kofta flatbread is great!

Brought a small team of lads in to fill up on burgers and steaks. All went home full and happy. Yes, we had cake too 😆 We will be back soon!

I came in this evening (a Wednesday evening) at a little before 5pm. I was astonished to find that it was incredibly busy, but soon saw why. The staff were excellent, particularly Kurtis behind the bar and Kyle who served us at the table. The portions were excessively large so we had to request take-away boxes to take 3/4 of the food home with us, but it was nicely presented and excellent value. All of the staff were obviously rushed but efficient, calm and polite and I was very impressed.

Had a birthday party here, had a great time. Food was cheap especially when there is deals on, every day of the week 24/7. Would highly recommend coming here for any occasion. Even if it’s just going for a sole pint.

I was down in the area with work colleagues, and a single nights meet for a bite to eat turned into 3 nights in total meeting for fantastic food, great customer service, relaxed but still positively charged, and all for a crazy cheap price. I challenge people to prove me wrong.

Check your receipt they dont give you their Pub classic 2 for £12.49 if you are using Tesco vouchers, I come here often but this week they charged me £20.00 instead of the £12.49 , I was told you cant use these offers anymore with vouchers! I said they should state it in Menu because I have always used it he said Tesco changed it I contacted Tesco they are looking into it as they said they hadn't.

I raved to everyone about the pies served in this pub and regularly went there with my family because Tesco give you vouchers if you have £5 you get £10 to spend in sloop which I have always done, however this week I put my order in and they never took off the pub classics which is 2 meals for £12.49 mid week we always get the same thing never had a problem! Yesterday they tell me you can't get the offer with Tesco vouchers any more!! Then i said they should state this on their menu before people order , I said I always get this offer when I eat there then was told it has now changed so make sure before you order what you will be paying for.

Excellent friendly service good fresh food

I can honestly say worse food I've ever eaten in any pub... I had sausage and mash which is probably the most easiest dish to cook with onion gravy. The sausages are very cheap and nasty full of hard little bits of grizzle... The mash potatoes is obvious smash from a packet not done or prepared fresh and the food was totally unacceptable at the price you are paying for a meal to be brutally honest could of got a meal in weatherspoons much cheaper and better than this place how ant one can give this place a 5* review bests me obvious people can't tell the difference between fresh and frozen... on the plus side I was offered another meal for my disappointment bit if u can't do sausage and mash I decided not to have another meal as it completely put me off and to call this place the sloop its should be called the slop as its what they are serving paying customers enjoy at your own risk all.

Usually, I have a nice meal here when we come down from Halifax to visit my son and family, but today, they must of had problems in the kitchen as it took 1 hour from ordering to delivering our food and not even an explanation as to why And out of the 7 meals, 4 was boarding warm to cold when we mentioned this to the server He came back and offered us a round of drinks, which most didn't want Let's hope our next visit there is a vast improvement
