Skylark Cafe in Edinburgh, City of

Wrap de pollo, tocino y avo inmaculadamente crujiente y sabroso. Batido jugoso y afrutado lleno de sabor. Me encantaría maltesa una barra de pudín. Personal encantador y servicio rápido. Lo recomendaría si está buscando un pequeño y encantador café en Edimburgo.

Café encantador, personal amable. Muchos niños, así que no vayas si quieres paz, ya que aquí hay una zona de juegos. Lo encontré con los pies en la tierra y no es pretencioso, a diferencia de muchos cafés de Stockbridge.

Servicio dolorosamente lento. Sólo quería dos rollos de tocino y un café. Le tomó diez minutos (poner en el horno el tocino precocido y preparar los rollos) y cuando los rollos de tocino estaban listos, estaban fríos y no sabían tan bien, los rollos eran duros y demasiado gruesos. El café era suave. La chica que servía era agradable, pero eso era todo lo que podía recomendar sobre el lugar.

Me encanta Stockbridge, pero a menudo encuentro algunos de los cafés excesivamente pretenciosos o desalmados. Este lugar, justo sobre el puente y un poco alejado de la calle principal es peculiar y pintoresco. Además de esto, hacen una hermosa selección de batidos y zumos en lugar de solo los cafés omnipresentes que se ofrecen en otros lugares. Hay una oportunidad de comprar o simplemente admirar el arte local, y el personal siempre es amigable. Un pequeño gran lugar!

Skylark es acogedor con un propietario sonriente, nada es demasiado problema. Buenas opciones de comida deliciosa y buscando tomar inicio productos. A diferencia de la mayoría de los demás cafés WiFi local. Se me encantaría volver.

Almuerzo hoy con un amigo y su pequeño, el anfitrión fue muy acogedor y su comida era deliciosa. Sirvió para todos los gustos, incluidos los que comen carne, pero incluso un buen rango vegano, ¡y nos dejó probar la sopa para evaluar los niveles de chile antes de decidir! Tenía aguacate y remolacha en pan, mi amigo tenía falafel, houmous y muchas otras cosas en un plato. Uno tenía croissant y queso, derretido, hecho especialmente para ella. El café también es excelente y al igual que la leche, tenían alternativas variou veganas. Realmente no me puedo quejar de nada. Muy recomendable para omnívoros, vegetarianos o veganos!

A la vuelta de la esquina de nuestro apartamento de vacaciones, así que estaba ansioso por probar un desayuno tardío en el último día. No decepcionó. No es enorme, pero tiene una habitación en la parte trasera, sin embargo, un viernes por la mañana tenían un grupo de cantantes de bebé allí (la puerta cerrada no se podía oír). Este lugar ha ido a la ciudad en alternativas: todo tipo de café, té y opciones saludables, desde café con leche con cúrcuma y chai latte hasta batidos, etc. Me quedé con un té sencillo pero me permití una de sus gachas con compota de arándanos, coco tostado y yogurt griego También hacen croissants de tocino.

encontré este lugar mientras compras, los batidos se veían bien, pero pensé que la comida era un poco decepcionante. mi Panini era solo un sándwich caliente y mi hermana pidió un rollo de tocino y en realidad era un sándwich de jamón caliente. no estaba mal, no era lo suficientemente bueno para decir que volvería:

Molto carino. Spazio giochi stupendo per bimbi. Cibo semplice e buono. Decisamente consigliato. Vegano (notato solo alla fine).

Descubrí el Skylark Café mientras caminando a través de Stockbridge y fue inmediatamente encantado por su colorido y apariencia acogedora. El almuerzo y batido era fantástico. Señora amable detrás del mostrador, y aparentemente hay una clase de canciones para niños pequeños circle y sus parrents en la trastienda. Estoy realmente interesado en la narrativa, el teatro y cantando para los niños pequeños, y creo que es fantástico cómo la gente de Skylark Café hemos creado este ambiente creativo, acogedor y divertido donde todo el mundo se siente en casa.

Mi hermana, mi hija y yo metimos en la tarde para una parada para tomar café.Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida por el personal de mostrador y decidimos coger el carro y nosotros a través de la parte trasera donde es realmente amplia.Pedimos café, té y pasteles para una tarde de lujo en el mostrador y se la trajo a la mesa en tiempo y forma. En cuanto al precio son típicas precios stockbridge (9 libras).El café tiene gran escuela antiguo con rincones agradables en la parte trasera que son perfectas para familias y áreas de juego para niños. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra visita y sin duda volveremos, especialmente interesados en probar el batidos y batidos vimos en el menú.

I found this cafe in Hamilton Place Stockbridge area around a year ago and I'm so glad I did.We have been regular visitors ever since - The staff are very efficient and friendly.The food is varied,fresh & delicious.Great breakfasts,coffee,cake and home bakes yummy! Supreme smoothies, hearty home made soups, interesting salads and much more.The cafe is also child friendly and does cater to little ones tastes.The added bonus being Gill Bowman runs a song circle for little ones Monday to Saturday mornings in a cosy comfy room through to the back of the cafe.The song circle sessions are very well organised,always welcoming and lots of fun! My little grandson of 2 absolutely loves going along and gets so much enjoyment from joining in with all the well loved songs & poems,having a little dance, choosing precision instruments to play and a cuddly toy towards the end of each session when Gill introduces a couple of quieter lullaby songs to ensure all go home ready for a nap! Mums, Dads, Grans and Grandads all have a lovely time singing along with their children,the coffee break is an opportunity to socialise whilst toys are brought out for the wee ones to play with.We bought Gills CD's so that we can continue the party at home.My Grandson loves it & listens to it constantly. It's great for car journeys. He lives in France and has taken the CD home with him.He comes to visit Edinburgh regularly and The Skylark Cafe is always our first port of call. If you have little ones or just looking for a friendly relaxed place to eat good honest delicious food I thoroughly recommend you check it out.

So took two wee ones along to Skylark Cafe where Mum supports daughter on this dual venture. Daughter out front in the cafe. Mum in a cosy homely room at rear offering a Song Circle for little ones. Didn't use the cafe this time but have heard it serves very nice home baking. Song Circle was ideal. Very friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Well structured. Talented lady playing guitar and singing favourite songs and nursery rhymes with little ones and parents/carers. Visual aids to help the focus. Children attentive and involved throughout. Smiling and happy. No mean feat given it was for an hour. Wee ones loved it. Dancing singing and playing little percussion instruments. Coffee/water break half way through. Mellow delicious coffee. A walk along the Water of Leith pathway to get there passing through the Dean Village. Wow!! Double wow!! A jewel in the crown that is Edinburgh. Know Edinburgh pretty well now but haven't come across this area before. As the couple I spoke with on the bridge said....we turned the corner and there was this magical place ! Yes - agreed it literally took my breath away and brought a tear to my eye. Then the Song Circle experience followed. An uplifting morning! Go on - give it a try!

I go to this cafe all the time with my 4 kids, they serve great coffee, home made cakes, healthy fresh juices and smoothies made to order. Lovely lunches like avocado on toast, home made soups and salads. The kids menu is good to with things like waffles and beans or toasties.

I visited with my family and we all found the service very lacking in warmth or friendliness. The manager/owner barely exchanged a word with us when she served us and we were not asked whether we had everything we needed or whether everything had been to our liking.

This is a nice little cafe with friendly staff and good coffee and food. A good selection of snacks too. More seating round the back so it's bigger than it seems.

This place is great for parents, especially for mums with small babies, where you can enjoy a cuppa while breastfeeding with complete comfort. There is a space at the back of the cafe that offers privacy for the likes of feeding, or generally just a space where you can sit and not worry about customers who do not have children with them.

They make lovely soups and bacon rolls. A room at the back welcomes babies and toddlers for singing and fun from time to time. It has a gentle warm atmosphere. Terrific asset to the Stockbridge community. Oldies welcome too. Coffee excellent.

En kanna te och panini för 8 pund. God mat men dock inte så stora portioner. Trevligt och lugnt ställe. Väldigt barnvänligt. Trevlig personal, bra service

This is a lovely little café. Great food - don't forget to have the soup. They will make most things vegan for you on request. They have song circle there every morning if you have little ones.

A wonderful little cafe with a fine selection of coffees and teas. Fresh fruit smoothies, bacon rolls and other favorites!

Popped in briefly for a quick croissant and coffee.Nice straightforward food and coffee and the warm bench seating is just whats required on a cold damp day.

A sublime macchiato told me this was a café that understands coffee. It's small but on the occasion of our visit uncrowded. We felt comfortable enough to linger over a relatively small order, not always easy in a small establishment.

Fantastic cakes, coffees, soups, sandwiches and service, and a local family run business to boot. I love it and you will too

this place is just what the yummy mummies of stockbridge need :) so relaxing with the kids and good cakes.

i have been to this cafe twice with my 3-year-old daughter and we love it. it's small, nicely presented and friendly, with artwork on the walls and books and colouring-in for children. the coffee is great, as are the cakes and pastries. last time we went i had a delicious fig tart and my daughter had a warm bagel with ham and cheese. nothing fancy, but tasty and just what we needed. there are song sessions for little ones in the back room a few times a week, and these seem to be very popular - plenty of wee skylarks singing last time we visited.

We had been recommended this little café from some of the staff in a few other cafés and restaurants we had visited.
