Great dog friendly sports bar with real ale on tap. Lovely staff.

We got off the cruise ship and couldn’t hire a taxi or catch a bus…so we stopped in for a pint 🍺 food served at noon.

Been there twice. Alone twice. The bartender invites her friends and they have a loud party on their own.

Ok for a glass of wine but a tad expensive.

Proper kind of place, nice chaps all around

Skippers can be great...but more of an acquired setting on a Saturday evening.

Located next to the Kirkwall hotel. On a pedestrian side street. Called in a Tuesday afternoon, and as expected nice a quiet. Pool table, food, sky sports. Parking across the road

Loved this place. Spent a few nights and afternoons in here on our trip. Beer good, spirits good, friendly patrons and staff. Highly recommended.

Super, komme hier jedes mal her wenn ich auf den Orkneys bin. Essen ist toll und sie haben eine gute Bierauswahl. Was will man mehr.

Thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit, decent selection of beer whisky etc plenty of TVs (I'd mention the jukebox but if I put my tunes I'd have emptied the place) clean as well.. but more importantly (for me at least) friendly welcoming staff probably why 5 out of 6 nights we (my brother and I) visited.. only downsides were 1) the urinals are a bit too high for short arses like me.. 2) I didn't get a scapa special pint glass (I did ask)

Great bar with three tv screens showing sky sports etc. I went here to watch a football game but sadly the jukebox continues to play during the game so you can't hear any commentary and people playing pool sometimes block the main screen.

I think it was to modern, clean for a pub. But that is just me maybe. It is lacking character. But the food, drinks and service were good!

Amazing food. Best we had in 5 days in kirkwall. Super friendly staff and 2 big tvs and a big screen for sport. Highlight of our honeymoon last week.

I don't think I ever found this place or went here, was looking for inns or bars, pubs or hotels of an evening on my holidays as staying in a Motorhome don't have WiFi & take a lot of photos & "need" back up so about every other day at least, I try to find a public place with free WiFi & I give them my patronage or custom at the same time. The only late night & friendly pub that was open, I found on Orkney in central town of Kirkwall that I went back to 3 times was the Auld Motor Hoose, (although dark without windows) but there are other pubs but I couldn't find any that suited my 'needs'. The barmaid there told me of others, ie. Skippers but that they have a young crowd of 'kids', we are of a more mature age ! So that's all I know, sorry

Dog friendly, Food is decent, prices very good, WiFi is intermittent.

Große Auswahl hat man in diesem schönen Ort nicht. Aber dieser Laden ist Klasse. Ordentlich, sauber und nettes Personal. Ich komme gerne wieder. Es gibt auch Bier von der Insel aus dem Fass.

This place is ok. Fast service compared to the hotel next door and the food is from the same kitchen. Basic grub which is okay.

Was in Skippers for the Rangers v Frankfurt Final. Brilliant atmosphere from the Rangers Fans. Friendly staff

Lively keyside harbour bar, full of character and local curiosities, a busy and, at times, bustling atmosphere. Serving good food choices and wide selection of drinks.

Service, food, and drinks were all very good. Nice place to watch a footy match.

Nice bar with good food. I just did not expect that you would have to order at the bar.

Football and rugby on but the Barman insists on playing music hits from the 90s instead of the commentary. I would leave but the door is blocked by smokers standing half in and half out of the building

I love this pub! Friendly staff... great selection of gins, beer and whiskys.... great food ... and most importantly, a brilliant pool table!! 🎱 We spent hours in here just relaxing, playing pool, drinking guinness and watching the sports channel. It's very clean and comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely. I would highly recommend stopping in for a dram.
