Skewd Kitchen in Enfield

We've recently tried a delivery from this place and I have to say it was excellent. Rather expensive for a kebab but this is not your average Turkish restaurant. I'm planning to visit for a meal inside.

Never wanted to dine in a club and now i know why. Couldn't hear a word. Unfortunately I could still see the prices on the menu. Nice food but wow £34 for the smallest mixed grill I've ever had. Nah im out. Oh, the Kunfe desert was unreal. If you want a £9 Turkish desert in a rave then this is your place

Fantastic service, fantastic food. My mother and mother-in-law both have allergies, and the staff were super friendly and helpful in helping them navigate their choices. So pleased to have such a special restaurant nearby. So much tasty food on the menu, can’t wait to go back to try more dishes.

We visited on Friday night for a birthday celebration, what a special night! The food was excellent and the service very good and friendly, thank you so much for making our celebrations so special! I can't wait to visit again!

Best restaurant in London! Better than any Mayfair restaurant! Food is always delicious, staff are fab. We go to the Cockfosters branch usually twice a month! We went to the grove yesterday and have to say the food is just as nice! Although the Cockfosters one has my heart :-) thank you

Fresh, tasty and excellent staff

First time dining in but I have ordered online before. We arrived without a reservation at 6.30ish and was given a table until 8pm. Within 45mins the place was absolutely packed. I had the grilled seabass. U have the option on filleted or a whole fish with bones. I was hungry so chose filleted so I could just eat quickly. It came with chunky hand cut chips, a shepherd's salad and a dip. It was absolutely delicious. I didn't need to add any salt or pepper which I usually do. We orderdered 2 bottles of water for the table and had a cocktail each. We were 3. Before your meal they bring you puffed bread with a buttery garlic cheese. Also delicious. 2 of us had fish and the other the lamb shish. We have a lot of turkish food and she said it was the best lamb shish she ever had. We are all greedy so didn't share or try eachothers main foods so I don't know how it tasted. 1 person got dessert the cheesecake and it was honestly sooo good. Very light and fluffy. We will be back 😎 to try something else next time. Atmosphere was vibrant and bustling but still relaxed. 1 critique, some of the waiters could smile a bit more but it didn't effect the service so, hey. Total £162 approx including £18 service fee

The service was very friendly and attentive and it was great that they made us feel like we had come to the right place for our special day. Ali Nazif was the best I have ever eaten, especially the taste of the eggplant sauce. I will never forget it 🙏❤️❤️

**This review is for Skewd at the Grove, not Cockfosters** 6 of us went for a meal here and we experienced some of the worst service we’ve ever had. From the off, the woman at front of house was extremely rude and had a face like a slapped arse, not welcoming whatsoever. How she has a job there I have no idea. Completely lacking people skills. We were given menus and had to wait forever to order our drinks. There were staff everywhere who seemed untrained and running around like headless chickens not really sure of what they were doing. After having to flag down a waiter, we finally ordered drinks, mains and starters. 2 of the starters came before anything else (not all at the same time as you’d expect starters to arrive) followed by our drinks which took a further 10 minutes. We called for a manager who came over and apologised and said the rest of our starters will arrive shortly. The food came and it was overall okay, but some of it was cold. We then had to flag someone down to clear our table as plates were sitting there for ages. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I advise anyone thinking to visit to avoid it completely and just stick to the Cockfosters branch as I’ve never had an issue there.

Wonderful restaurant staff. Went there day for my 2 year anniversary with my wife. Left a note with the booking to ask if they could write a special message which was all carried out and delivered as a great surprise for my wife. Made her night and therefore mine. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was lively with a live dj playing some great mixes. The music was a little on the louder side, but that's probably me getting old than an overly loud venue. 100% would recommend!

I had a lovely Turkish breakfast there on Sunday. It's a lovely, clean restaurant with a great team! I really enjoy the Turkish breakfast and highly recommend it!always pleasure to come and visit this restaurant .specially Mr Ercan.polite and helpful.visit again for lunch and was amazing

This resturant has its closing time to be 12.30 midnight on Saturdays only to get there at 11pm and was told that the resturant is closed. Very shocking. Clearly an unprofessional outfit.

We dined there wirh friends recently. All courses were absolutely de-licious! The Lambs liver / Veli nazik and Kunefe stood out for me. The staff are caring and genuinely want you to enjoy the experience. We will definitely be returning! Well done Team Skewd!

We had a lovely dinner here, food was delicious as were the cocktails! The service was unusually slow when we went, it was busy but even so we had to flag the waiters multiple times over the evening just to take our orders.

Wonderful food and great service!

What an interesting restaurant, we went on a Saturday for lunch around 2pm. Very open plan inside so you can see the entire restaurant and even the chefs doing some of the cooking/prep work. It was fairly busy but we were served quickly we were in a large group and the waiter showed amazing patience with us as not everyone arrived at the same time. Food was excellent, drinks were fine. I felt it was a bit expensive but for a one off experience the price wasn't too bad. Overall a good place to go.

Visited this restaurant several times on different occasions. Celebrating birthdays or catching up with family or friends. Food is delicious, very fresh and tasty. Cocktails and wine very good quality. Really like the interior deco, staff is very attentive and good music in the background.

Overall, I had a mixed experience at Skewd, the Turkish restaurant in Cockfosters. While the service was commendable, the lamb shish, despite being the chef's specialty and described as high-quality fillet meat, was disappointingly chewy and of poor quality. It was unfortunate that no one inquired about our satisfaction with the main meal until after dessert was served. Despite these setbacks, the restaurant offers delightful starters and desserts. I hope the quality of the meat improves in the future, as I would consider revisiting for another chance.

Lovely atmosphere and superb delicious food!

We had a family party of about 30 people spread over three tables on a Saturday afternoon, so very quiet. The food was good but not excellent considering the price. I tried the lamb shish which was a little rubbery, chicken wings were good and my sea bass, great but not outstanding. The service staff were professional but not really attentive or particularly friendly. One tall server was quite nonchalant, like he was too good to be there or we were not worthy. The drinks, Pina Colada for my daughter was terrible. The restaurant decor is class, the place exudes modernity but ultimately does not deliver for a family meal. Young small groups will give it 5 stars but I begrudgingly give it 3.

Our first time here tonight with 4 friends. Very friendly staff, great food, not overpriced drinks as so many other restaurants do these days however £9.80 for 2 bottles still water a bit naughty.

Great restaurant and very high quality food and service. Arjan, Carlos, Borat, Alper are great staff that never take their eye off the ball. This restaurant is always full.

Ercan, Carlo, Ramon, Ozlem, Sibel no1 & no.2 Burak, Lexi + many more not forgetting the kitchen crew are second to none! The only place to go in Cockfosters and no, I'm not getting a kick back. That said if you say visit off the back of my review I might just get a free bottle of sparking water and more importantly you will not be disappointed!

I visited Skewd for the first time with my husband and young son. The staff were friendly and the decor was nice, very up-market vibes. However my first negative was that there was no baby changing facilities, they had highchairs - so were equipped for young children in that respect but no changing area. I was led to their back private room where I had to change my baby on the hard marble-like tabletop (using a portable changing mat but parents will know that these are thin), which poses a health and safety risk and is also pretty unhygienic even though they probably clean the table down. The food was nice, average and nothing spectacular - no better than other Turkish restaurants and in my opinion very overpriced especially when the meat isn't even accompanied by rice dish. The rice we were served that we ordered on the side was not traditional Turkish pilav, it was basmati and did honestly taste like microwavable rice and very expensive when it doesn't need to be. This was a let down. The restaurant definitely has potential but they need to keep in mind what they are serving and work on their execution of dishes to strike a balance between true anatolian meals and a up-market atmosphere, whilst considering the location and clientele. For the money we paid reluctantly, I would expect more.

Luxury Turkish restaurant very good food. Very good service prices are little bit higher than normal. You have to try once.

Just had an £80 takeaway…. Having high expectations after great reviews, couldn’t wait to eat the dishes we ordered. Unfortunately the lamb was undercooked and fatty, chicken dry and neither seasoned, succulent or flavoursome. I literally cook better food and I’m not a chef or trained in cooking. £80…….

I celebrated my birthday here and had an amazing experience! The waitress was incredibly helpful and kind. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked, definitely something worth coming back for. Highly recommended!

Had a really good experience it was recommended by a group of friends the food was really good and the service was top tier I was served by a young man called berk really lovely went above and beyond for us.

The food was very low level. The octopus was tough and difficult to eat. The calamari were not crispy at all but soft and oily. Even the fries were thick and tasted like boiled not fried. All the time draughty come through from somewhere which causes me illnesses. Not enough space on the table very squeezed. Service not impressed at all. It is expensive for the food they served.

A wonderful welcome, great service, delicious food. This is my second visit. Even though I didn't reserve a table, the manager did his best to host us well. I was very pleased, only the music was very tiring, I wish there were more naive songs. Despite that, I wish I could give 10 stars. Thank you very much for everything.

Classy place, reasonably prices for very good food and service. Oh and thee best cocktails.

The place is nice don’t get me wrong, but they just want you to get out asap.. the owner the manager’s walking around the table basically counting how much food you’ve got in your plate, makes me sick… I came to relax eat my food have my drink , not to be watched every time I put the bite in my mouth… learn some manners, that’s my advice to the owner … if you want someone to come back you gonna treat them nice not like what we’ve been treated tonight.. don’t think I’ll be coming back here .. it’s my second time and both times it’s just a disappointment:(.. people only go there because it famous:. The kebab shop around the corner serves better food and has better manners than this place … fake smiles from girl’s waiters , managers and the owner … fake people… the only nice staff there is the young boys who picks up the plates… I could go on forever how disappointing that place is but whatever let them be.. won’t be spending my money there anymore 🤮

Went here some time ago and it was very nice, has a lot of nice decor as well. The food was tasty and service was good.

My first visit at Skewd, I found the service to be warm and welcoming. I was greeted at the door on a first name basis which is not experienced in many high end restaurants. Skewd had a nice atmosphere but was not too loud which is often a hard balance to strike. The food was great with high quality ingredients and a contemporary take to Turkish cuisine. I would recommend and visit again.

The best Restuarant in the Enfield and surrounding areas. It is what we call our “food heaven”.

Amazing restraunt. Food was 10/10. Suprisingly food diden't even take that long to come out & went on a busy night. Staff are nice & friendly. I decided I gotta come here atleast once a month. Defo 1 of the best restraunts I've been to in london.

The restaurant is clean, beautiful, magnificent presentations in the food delivery and respectful customer service. I had a whole seabass. It was so delicious I remembered to take the picture after 😀.

Don't just take my word for it. You need to try the menu for yourself and see. Every time I have been, it is very busy so you need to book it in advance. You will not be disappointed. I have tried every dish till now.

This place is absolutely stunning, from the moment we walked in, I could feel the atmosphere, the dimmed lightning, fresh flowers, cedarwood scent, all the interior just bang on as well as the attention of the staff. Everything runs smoothly and the food 😌...OMG, worth every penny! The stuff made my birthday very special and finished with a beautiful flame treat, on the house. Thanks so much to Erğĉan and the rest of the staff. Very professional, friendly and outstanding service. We will definitely be back 😇😇

VOW what a place. Will go back there for sure. We had a great time. The food was delicious and service superb. We were at a private area in the Vault playing our music, tasting various dishes and trying cocktails, having drinks. Brilliant good and great service

Lovely ambience, great food; mezze selection was lovely. The sujuk and goats cheese starter was delicious. Highly recommend Veli or Ali Nazik. Delicious thick cut chips and lemony seasonal greens. The knafeh was incredibly moorish, with a mountain of pistachio crumbs! Looking forward to returning.

Excellent local restaurant with Mayfair ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken shish with hand cut chips. The scallops starter was fabulous. The service was the best I've experienced. A little pricy but more up market inside, food was good and cocktails went down well, very attentive service. Food was okay but less of it for more money that other local less swish Turkish restaurants in area.
