Amazing taste and service as always

This is a money laundering company. It's just basic food cooked well on fancy plates in a sleek decor environment. Everything literally had sprigs of curly parsley on it to an extreme extent, not even chopped up. Prices too dear for the atmosphere and food.

Well, I liked it. I was there with old school friends, primary and infants! We're talking around 50 years! Anyway, I had a lamb dish which was done to perfection. All recommended.

Top class restaurant for me and my family.

A more sophisticated take on Turkish food, but in all honesty it’s a bit pretentious. The first time I went I was impressed but the second time not so much. The grill dishes took ages. Chicken wasn’t as tender as usually expected at a Turkish place. Quite pricey. Service was not great, two staff taking orders from a full restaurant. They did allow us to use the private room to pray though, which is appreciated. Baklava dessert was very good.

Fantastic food but please consider changing your take away packaging to something environmentally friendly

Everything was a superb part from tables round legs you can't sit on where the legs are very uncomfortable with very little space.

Popped in for a late night drink and a bite. Great attentive staff, nice atmosphere and good selection of food and drinks. It's a shame I'm not in the area often to visit more. Highly recommend this place if you're in Cockfosters.

Our favourite local place for special occasions. Food is perfect every single time (we regularly order the grilled octopus and lamb). We have also recently tried some new starters (prawn croquettes, wagyu sushi), all excellent. Service is friendly, attentive. Celebrated our anniversary last weekend and we were wished warmly by the staff, and had a free dessert from the menu. Atmosphere/decor is very elegant. Music can be a bit loud (bit like party). It's not bad but maybe not everybody's taste. More expensive than other local restaurants but well worth the price due to the quality and presentation. Usually we spend £50 per person for a very very full meal (not including drinks). Great for celebrations.

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Skewed, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The attention to detail, everything from the presentation of the food to the cleanliness of the restaurant was top notch. This restaurant clearly takes pride in delivering an excellent dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a leisurely breakfast with friends, I highly recommend Skewed. We will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I visited Skewd Kitchen for Valentines Day, the food was absolutely delicious, I recommend the pan seared yellowfin tuna starter, I also had the Wagyu beef kebab on the Valentines menu. My wife was presented with a single red rose at the end of the evening, nice touch, Fantastic dining experience, great food and attentive service, highly recommend.

Simply one of the best restaurants you will ever eat at. Attentive manager and staff throughout, and the chefs are fantastic!! Food is superb, with more than adequate portions, sadly was driving, but the cocktails look divine!! All in an absolute gem of a restaurant, which I will visit again really soon!!

Hugely overpriced for what is essentially a "good" kebab. Bread is nice food all ok but not worth £30 for a main with absolutely nothing included (and all sides £10 plus) and £25 for a selection of 5 smallish dips. In fact on the so called signature dish of lamb shish one if our party couldnt eat the meat as it was fatty. Bill for 6 of us was ridiculous. Yes the owner and the staff were friendly and the service was spot on but for that price that's the least I'd expect.

We had a group including someone with celiac and the waitress we had was so attentive to her needs. She went above and beyond to make sure she was looked after properly and double checked everything that came to our table.

We first went last weekend and weren’t overly pleased with the breakfast due to some teething problems. However we were kindly invited back this weekend and wow is all I can say. The food the atmosphere, everything was so perfect. The breakfast was a real spread and absolutely splendid. Everyone in the party enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you for having us back and well done on providing an amazing breakfast. Most probably the best Turkish style breakfast we have had in London 👏🏼

Food - starters were very flavourful in taste. The humus, in particular, was very well done. The bread is homemade and tastes as such. The meat for the mains was very tender and nicely presented. Service - excellent customer service with staff available all time round. Atmosphere - the restaurant has a great atmosphere with very comfortable seating. Overall, a very pleasant experience which will make me, most definitely, come back.

The manager on the phone provided excellent customer service very friendly and polite I ordered before I thought the food couldn’t get better and it did the boneless seabass the chunky chips the cacik and the salad and the baklava. The food was good,but the manager there told us to go even sooner than 2 hours....He made us feel uncomfortable 😐. He literally came to our table, after we finish the last spoon of dessert ( after 1h 40 minutes)and tell us we need to leave cause he need the table. We paid 60£ each for some Chicken shish, a cocktail and a dessert...

Live and food! Best Turkish restaurant in north London

This restaurant is the best Turkish restaurant I have ever been to in England. Everything was wonderful, everything was delicious, and beautifully presented. Due to my allergy and illness, as well as the treatment I am currently undergoing, they prepared the meals I requested, and all of them were exactly as I wanted and completely safe for me. I had no issues after returning home, which means everything was safe. The waiter who took care of me and my friends was very kind – 10 out of 10 for him. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and everything was fresh. We probably ate the best octopus in the world – it was absolutely amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful, elegant, and atmospheric, and everyone is very kind. Overall, I am extremely impressed, and I am very thankful for the wonderful evening and for preparing meals that were safe for my health. We will definitely return, and I think it will be soon. Overall, we highly recommend it and are very satisfied – both the restaurant and the food deserve 100 % satisfaction.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday with their Anatolian breakfast. The food was delicious, well cooked and beautifully presented. There was plenty to eat and we enjoyed bottomless tea. Overall it was a very enjoyable brunch.

I had a medical emergency, and needed use of the gents. Was refused by owner & manager [I think, maybe other staff members], despite telling them it was a medical emergency & have a card for this eventuality; and would be happy to just buy a drink or leave a tip…. Leading me to have to empty my stoma bag in the middle of the street into a dog-bag. I did not have time to find another open location in the area. I’m 50/50 on if I want to post this, that in itself furthers the embarrassment… but this kind of thing is why there are so many locals won’t eat here or the sister-Resturants (that, and the prices / badly parked posh cars). Yes, they don’t ‘owe’ me access to their toilet, and Yes, I don’t owe them a decent review. [Food looks good but extremely pricey, atmosphere looks good… Same is true of the dozens of friendly restaurants in the area ]

High quality Turkish food in Cockfosters, London. Service is impeccable. Has a night out vibe to it. More expensive than your typical Turkish restaurant but that's evident in the quality of the food and service.

We've dined here a few times and have always had great food and excellent service. Its a little pricey, but you do get exceptional service and great quality. The atmosphere is perfect and its always super busy. They cater well for the whole family and allergies. We will definitely keep on returning.

Excellent experience. Food, service, staff and atmosphere are all of a high standard. We in particular recommend the yellow fin tuna and the scallops. The manager is very friendly and we will certainly be visiting again.

Had a lovely visit to this restaurant last weekend. Although we arrived about 50 mins earlier than our booking time we were seated straight away. Customer service was excellent with really attentive servers, the owner of the restaurant was so lovely and a hoot. Food was excellent and prices were very reasonable for the quality provided. We've recently tried a delivery from this place and I have to say it was excellent. Rather expensive for a kebab but this is not your average Turkish restaurant. I'm planning to visit for a meal inside.

Never wanted to dine in a club and now i know why. Couldn't hear a word. Unfortunately I could still see the prices on the menu. Nice food but wow £34 for the smallest mixed grill I've ever had. Nah im out. Oh, the Kunfe desert was unreal. If you want a £9 Turkish desert in a rave then this is your place

Fantastic service, fantastic food. My mother and mother-in-law both have allergies, and the staff were super friendly and helpful in helping them navigate their choices. So pleased to have such a special restaurant nearby. So much tasty food on the menu, can’t wait to go back to try more dishes.

Lovely food, excellent service, high-class mixology

First time dining in but I have ordered online before. We arrived without a reservation at 6.30ish and was given a table until 8pm. Within 45mins the place was absolutely packed. I had the grilled seabass. U have the option on filleted or a whole fish with bones. I was hungry so chose filleted so I could just eat quickly. It came with chunky hand cut chips, a shepherd's salad and a dip. It was absolutely delicious. I didn't need to add any salt or pepper which I usually do. We orderdered 2 bottles of water for the table and had a cocktail each. We were 3. Before your meal they bring you puffed bread with a buttery garlic cheese. Also delicious. 2 of us had fish and the other the lamb shish. We have a lot of turkish food and she said it was the best lamb shish she ever had. We are all greedy so didn't share or try eachothers main foods so I don't know how it tasted. 1 person got dessert the cheesecake and it was honestly sooo good. Very light and fluffy. We will be back 😎 to try something else next time. Atmosphere was vibrant and bustling but still relaxed. 1 critique, some of the waiters could smile a bit more but it didn't effect the service so, hey. Total £162 approx including £18 service fee

**This review is for Skewd at the Grove, not Cockfosters** 6 of us went for a meal here and we experienced some of the worst service we’ve ever had. From the off, the woman at front of house was extremely rude and had a face like a slapped arse, not welcoming whatsoever. How she has a job there I have no idea. Completely lacking people skills. We were given menus and had to wait forever to order our drinks. There were staff everywhere who seemed untrained and running around like headless chickens not really sure of what they were doing. After having to flag down a waiter, we finally ordered drinks, mains and starters. 2 of the starters came before anything else (not all at the same time as you’d expect starters to arrive) followed by our drinks which took a further 10 minutes. We called for a manager who came over and apologised and said the rest of our starters will arrive shortly. The food came and it was overall okay, but some of it was cold. We then had to flag someone down to clear our table as plates were sitting there for ages. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I advise anyone thinking to visit to avoid it completely and just stick to the Cockfosters branch as I’ve never had an issue there.

Wonderful restaurant staff. Went there day for my 2 year anniversary with my wife. Left a note with the booking to ask if they could write a special message which was all carried out and delivered as a great surprise for my wife. Made her night and therefore mine. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was lively with a live dj playing some great mixes. The music was a little on the louder side, but that's probably me getting old than an overly loud venue. 100% would recommend!

This resturant has its closing time to be 12.30 midnight on Saturdays only to get there at 11pm and was told that the resturant is closed. Very shocking. Clearly an unprofessional outfit.

We dined there wirh friends recently. All courses were absolutely de-licious! The Lambs liver / Veli nazik and Kunefe stood out for me. The staff are caring and genuinely want you to enjoy the experience. We will definitely be returning! Well done Team Skewd!
