Arrived nice and hot. Lovely batter, crisp and tasty. Better than anything in our directly local vicinity .

Brilliant food. Don’t pay extra for large chips, they are no bigger than a standard bag.

chips were mostly tiny pieces and therefore too brittle sorry but they spoilt the meal Pamela

fish tasted of ammonia so not FRESH and not good value i'm sorry had much better from the BLUE MERMAID we are regular customers so we deserve better

Spent 10.99 on meat and chips that was neant to cone with sauce but it didnt. Si was dry and horrible. Yoh cant eat donner meat wuth no sauce. Just eat dont care either. Waste of money

I used deliveroo for delivery who because i was 2 mins away from home i asked my neighbour to take it in for me and gave them my code but the driver refused and so never got my food but on that note this is no reflection on blue mermaid as i have used them for many years and will continue to. Their service is great and they are so friendly

remember coming to you when a kid with my dad every Friday night. so was surprised to see to on here.. was going to the donner kebab which where great. but the tempra prawns caught my Eye, 10/ 10.

The sauage in batter started poomng fr sum reason I noticed all these fish and chips shops chickens sausages wat eve type r a different colour or taste I dnt no wat type of meat pork fats poultry it is the foad wasn't warm nor hot enough last time the chicken was Stickey tasted OK fresh but this time it looked dull or maybe over done or kept overnight in fridge I do not no disappointed at lease with chick box cld include a free drink with tht boxo nver mind I try to credit or refund but it not saying tht title ther tht I'm unhappy with my order

Never again I normally always buy my fish and chips from here as it’s down the road to me, but will never buy takeaway again the chips was cold and all black. even though the guy said it’s the last cod it was very cold and dry.

I have been purchasing food from the Blue Mermaid for 21 years. Excellent shish kebabs and fried fish. Their pitta bread is lovely and they know how to prepare a good, healthy salad filling. It's an Enfield institution that must be treasured. I'd give it six stars if I could!

Usually our favorite, ordered here many times before. Last week I felt very unwell and had stomach cramps after eating, thought it was a coincidence however my partner and I ordered this evening and have both spent the last 2 hours with severe stomach cramps and have been vomiting. Best chips ever but never ordering here again 🤢

Been coming for last 20 years the only thing that lets it down is the chilli sauce should make there own. Have moved away but gave it a try recently and just as good.

Best fish and chips I've had from any of the takeaways on Ubereats. Crispy chips, crispy batter and beautifully cooked juicy cod. The whole meal came piping hot and wasn't greasy at all. I have repeatedly visited this shop over the years in person, but didn't recognise the name at first. You guys rock! (pun intended). 😂

Had cod and chips. The cod was nice but very greasy. The chips were very greasy and not enjoyable. Most of the chips ended up in the bin.

Thought I'd give this place a try since I'd read good reviews about the chips (and fish). The chips are delicious - best of any of the chippies in Enfield, maybe even further out. Unfortunately lost a star because I found 5 bones in one mouthful of fish. I'm sure it's not representative, but I couldn't give 5. In all my years of eating chippy fish I've never found bones, so maybe this is making up for all the lost time!

The best chips ever!!! Been going here for going on 25years. I remember going as a little girl with my dad for the 'Friday night takeaway' and have been going back ever since. Staff are still the same friendly faces and I now go with my own little girl xx
