Sizzling in Reading

The restaurant was buzzing with happy families. The food was a bit small on portions for the kiddies' meals (over 6s..let me tell you they can eat!). The claw machines were a hit with my youngest two, one pudding was alot later than the others which is really important for customer service, however I understand it was a busy day. I popped into the bar and garden area afterwards.. I was sad to see it pretty empty and the pool table off limits due to a leak... I love a bit of pool! Overall though, friendly staff, Great food for a great price, absolutely made the right choice for my mothers day... 4 clean plates....Win! Thankyou ❤️

Booked a table for dinner, I got around a drinks which cost me £20, only then to be told that they weren't serving food when I went up to order food. Because they had two groups of people that ordered before. One of the groups had 18 and the other had 6. And also by this time it was 6:00pm and we had children with us that were very hungry. The manager David, blamed his staff which is very poor management, wasn't sorry and also didn't honour the food even though I brought drinks and set up a tab already. Poor management!

Fabulous early evening steak meal, very good quality and value, differently come again

It's a cheap place, but everything works well. I love country pub and indipendent ... This isn't but this is really relaxing and friendly to go..to chill out with a 2 years old..

Food was very poor quality and not everything available on menu. Staff were lovely.

Hadn't been here in a very long time because the food wasn't great and always missing items from the menu. This time, couldn't fault the food or the atmosphere. Staff were great too.

The lasagne had no meat at all, tasteless, the cooked salmon had too many spices and it tasted burnt. The cluckin stack was missing any flavour and the onion rings on top were missing, the cheese was non existent and the chicken was tasteless. The beef was burnt, the chips were tasteless and pretty much raw. never go here, bad pub. Drinks over expensive in small portions.

Very very slow service and mediocre food. The bar area was like a rowdy youth club and the restaurant was ignored.

Very likely to be the worst place for food in the area. We waited 50 minutes in an almost empty dining area. Then everything was burnt, or dry, or just wrong. We only enjoyed our drinks, basically. They better sack the chef and buy one of those Thermomix.
