A beautiful, quaint coffee shop. We are regulars here and have always had fabulous breakfast/ lunch and the BEST cake. Lovely, friendly staff. Really cannot fault. Although positioned in a village just off the A1 midway between Grantham and Newark, 62 is a worthy competitor to any coffee shop in any town. Great coffee, luscious home made cakes and pastries, good breakfasts and a bacon roll to die for - in time it will be legendary!Add friendly staff to the mix and it’s a place not to miss.

I used ot love visiting this little cafe just off the A1. However, this visit a few days ago was a huge disappointment. Same building, tables re-arranged to cope with Covid. All very good. But the tables had not been cleaned; the menus (laminated) were not clean and the counter and chill cabinet, on previous visits pristine, were cluttered, untidy and not kept clean. The cake selection was not as extensive as was the menu but one would expect that in Covid days. The coffee was fine; cake ok but the scone was doughy. They also accepted customers into the shop for take-away who were not wearing masks. Please get you act back together... you were a brilliant place.

A pleasant small coffee house with everywhere set out as well as it could be for social distancing. The food and especially the coffee is excellent, and we would highly recommend the bacon rolls. To the owners, well this is a small delightful place, but do remember that your customers look round whilst they are eating and drinking, and by the piles of equipment and boxes about the lovely decor is rather spoiled.Tables are sanatised after each use, and kept very (non-sticky) clean. Will certainly return again.

I am not a regular visitor to this establishment however since my last visit the management still don't quite get it. On my last visit a few months ago, by lunchtime the cafe had run out of white rolls for the sausage baps. I did mention at the time in my write up that there was a Co-op just across the road why not stock up from there? So it was again that this time my daughter and I wanted the granola, having placed the order we were told that there was only enough of the stuff for one person. Why, one has to ask, don't management make sure that they are fully stocked with the appropriate food that they hope to sell on the day, and if necessary utilise the local shop, rather than let your customers down? The coffee cake was a little dry, but the coffee was satisfactory.Won't rush to return.

We went here this week for an afternoon tea. Been wanting to try it for a while. Cute little place inside. The afternoon tea was very pretty, the cakes/pasties well executed and decorated with lustre dust on some of the cakes and slices of fruit. However. The whole of the afternoon tea was heavy on the dairy side, boring egg mayo, tuna mayo and cheese sandwiches. A mini flan, which was lovely. All the cakes were either filled with cream or a cream based filling, so we’re too sickly to eat. You need to be a big fan of cream to finish it. A variation away from cream, like a fridge cake or slice would be an improvement. You only got one drink. Had better, far cheaper. Other food that diners were having looked good tho.

We were heading North up the A1 and I'd found this cafe online beforehand. It is situated on a long road running parallel to the A1 through this pleasant village - it was very peaceful. There was outdoor seating for us and the dog with rugs to keep us warm - however it was a lovely warm day so we didn't need them.On arrival the staff greeted us with the news that the coffee machine was out of order and that they had a 1.5hour wait for the engineer - they did however offer a range of optional drinks so we decided to stay.Husband opted for the over-filled bacon bap and I chose a tea cake - with herbal tea and hot chocolate. We will certainly pop in again.

What a treat! Can thoroughly recommend afternoon tea at this delightful village cafe - make sure you book in advance though. There was an excellent selection of finger sandwiches, a gorgeous home made savoury tart, then sooooooo many home made cakes and puddings! And to top it off, a scone with jam and clotted cream! It was all served on traditional tiered stands (a full one each!) with unlimited tea and coffee. There was too much food to eat in one go, so the friendly staff kindly packed up what we hadn't managed to eat so we could take it away and enjoy it later - which we did! This is a great location just off the A1 in a pretty village. We arrived at 1pm on a pleasant spring midweek day to find several tables taken outside - perhaps as well, as it has a small interior, which was nicely decorated and furnished. I had to wait a few minutes at the counter for our order to be taken and then it was over 25 minutes before the tea and coffee arrived. The staff were busy, but they obviously can't cope at lunchtime! We then waited another 20 minutes for the paninis to arrive. They were very tasty and well filled, with a salad, coleslaw and chutney. Expensive, but good quality ingredients - total bill c £17.50 for two for one drink and a panini each. At £2.00 for a pot of Earl Grey, they could provide a pot of hot water. Would have got better marks if it hadn't taken an hour. The cakes looked excellent.

The coffee here is great (my dog loves it!) the bacon rolls are the best, and the home made scones and cakes are all large and definitely not for those on a diet! Paninis with salad are also available. When the weathers good there is a patio area with tables and chairs. The icing on the cake, is the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful.

SixtyTwo never fails to impress. I have eaten here many a time and popped in for a drink even more so, and haven't been disappointed with my drinks, food or service once! The friendly staff are always happy to cater to my fussy food habits, and will freshly prepare special panini's, salads or sandwiches for me. I have never experienced a long wait despite this. An extremely friendly and local atmosphere makes this coffee shop perfect for families, couples and even people on their own. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely little coffee shop in centre of Long Bennington. The coffee and food is first class as is the range of food and drinks for a small coffee shop. Great decor and ambiance. Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again. Friendly service too!

Once again a great flat white and iced coffee. The best place to stop if you are stopping. Just off the A1 south of Newark on Trent. Why use an overpriced Costa.

Nice upmarket village coffee shop. Everything served in there is really very nice and high quality. Prices are sensible but not super cheap either. The only downside is that unless you are lucky, service (even to get your drinks) can be slow to very slow. Don't go in if you are in need of very quick food or drink.

No. 62 is small but perfectly formed. The interior is light and bright, and stylishly furnished in pale wood and pretty bunting. There's always service with a smile, and the staff are friendly and charming. Coffee is delicious, sandwiches are decadent and the cakes are to die for.Thank you. Thank you. Thank you xxx

Very good coffee from Stokes in Lincoln, well made. Excellent range of home-made cakes, scones and tea cakes. There were light meals on the menu but we didn't try them. The two members of staff were very helpful and friendly. The cafe was most attractively furnished.

We picked this place for a light lunch based on trip advisor reviews. It is charming ,with excellent well presented well priced food and a lovely ambience. Free Wifi is great and I would recommend anyone to make the 1 mile detour off the A1 to visit this place.

Lovely little coffee shop with a tempting array of cakes, generously filled bacon rolls and my own favourite, their homemade soups. Staff are friendly, the place is always clean and they do a loyalty card and have free Wi-Fi. The only problem is that at busy times its just not big enough and the half a dozen tables or so can quickly be filled. Most disappointing after you've made a special journey. But if we lived closer, we'd pop in a lot more, especially at off peak times.

Tried this coffee shop for first time today and found it to be bit on small side, only 6 tables I think, but good selection of food and and drink on offer. Staff pleasant and service quick. Good to have a place like this in a village, will visit again as want to try more of delicious looking cakes.

We drove out of Grantham looking for a different spot to have lunch. Originally aiming for Newark, decided to take a detour from the A1 just to have an "explore" saw this place on the main road through Long Bennington.Tiny place, packed with enthusiastic diners. Had to share a table with a friendly couple. All this added to a buzzy/ friendly atmosphere.Good honest food, great coffee and staff that didn't seem to know that they were working. No one should be that happy and that friendly at work! Not every exploration results in finding treasure, but this mini trip certainly did.

Dropped into this village off the A1 in the hope of finding somewhere for coffee. Amazed to walk into such a busy "buzzing" cafe !Coffee was excellent and scones ok.Cakes looked delicious but it was a little too early in the day for cake! There were also many interesting items available on the menu .We received a very warm and hearty welcome and it was a lovely light and airy place to have a break. One small thing that prevents me giving an "excellent" rating was the mop bucket and broom being stored in the clients toilet and the owners/staff member`s (?) jacket and sweat shirt hanging on the back of the door in there........ might seem "picky", but for me this just spoils the overall feel of the place. Maybe these could be kept in a different area?If I was in the area again I would certainly make the small detour off the A1 to stop for coffee, and hopefully try the cake next time!

Been here several times for breakfast and lunch Lovely food, friendly staff and good coffee Nicely done out inside too If I was to have one criticism it’s the tea… it’s weak and I think you should offer a more “robust” bag for those that like strong tea Apart from not everyone wanting posh tea bags this is now our “go to brunch place” for good , hot and yummy food I can always drink the coffee instead!!

In my opinion this coffee shop is high up on the list of places to drop into. I had fresh scrambled eggs with oodles of smoked salmon on toast, and they served it up exactly as requested. All with a smile. The place is buzzing with people, but I never felt rushed to move on, even though my visit was on a Friday morning market day. Fully recommended for friendly welcoming service, and great food.
