Summer here so opted for cheese & bacon quiche with salad& chips instead of new potatoes. Look at the size of that plate full and great value for money nearly all meals at £8 or under.

While not on the menu Sally the manager and chef more than happy to do this as I really fancied an omelette for breakfast instead of my normal English breakfast which is really good and great value also highly recommend popping into this cafe if u never tried it before as u can see from my photo really good portion sizes and great value!

My dad used his voucher I bought him, I introduced him to the sixteen community cafe in Coleford, about a year ago he did not know it existed. I recommend it as good value,large portions, dog friendly also. If there is something you might not like on the dish ie example you don’t want chips or prefer mash happy to accommodate. Today my dad went for sausage eggs chips beans as that is what he fancied, His wife went for chicken curry half:rice and chips, she commented could not eat all the chips, both said they really nice meals, curry and chips was nicer than than another pub restaurant they had been last year and a lot more expensive. They both had coffees as well, two large meals and coffees for under £20.00. Our opinion great value. If you go in there say Jason recommended the cafe to the manager Sally.

This community cafe is a great place to pop in for food. They do an all day breakfast or many other options on the board. Lighter snacks or full meals, plus specials. If you do not see anything you like on the board Sally the manager always does her best to accommodate requests. Personally I love an omelette not on the menu but she is more than happy to make. Today they do a Tuesday special a roast dinner for only £8.00. It came with carrots, cauliflower, broccoli Yorkshire.new potatoes, roasted. Dogs are also welcome in the cafe.

Went for a spot of lunch on a bank holiday, this was not on the menu, but Sally the cafe manager is very accommodating if she has it she will normally make your request. It was lovely, also and great value for money in this day and age. £7.50 as you can see a good size portions. Support local businesses.

Lovely community Cafe based ground level in the Dora Matthews building opposite to the Chinese. I opted for the full English which you can get all day they have lots of other meals to choose from as well or lighter meals with bacon sausage baps u can even ask for a takeaway. Sally is very accommodating if you don’t like one of the breakfast items in your plate she will happily swap them. I personally love tinned tomatoes rather than half a tomato dislike blackpudding. I asked for an extra egg with my breakfast this was a treat for me this breakfast. Very good value currently £7.50 and most meals are around this price.

Always a warm welcome and exceptional coffee plus great quality and quantity of food. Home cooked and served with kindness. Great prices too.

This cafe does the best breakfast, staff are so accommodating with your needs, very friendly atmosphere will definitely return great little place 👍😊

We dropped in here for lunch after finding most eateries in Coleford closed (perhaps because it was a Monday?) and totally enjoyed our all-day veggie breakfast and scampi, peas and chips. Massive helpings and so tasty. Great staff and also very friendly customers. Dog-friendly as well. Super place to eat and it’s a not-for-profit providing support for the community!

Lovely community enterprise cafe, lovely coffee, delicious homemade cake, generous portion sizes! In my opinion, this is the only place to go in Coleford and coffee and cake!

Probably the best Cafe in Town! Very casual, but restaurant style food alongside traditional breakfast, offering a wide variety of options before 11.00, and a variable lunch time menu. Fully wheelchair (and pushchair! accessible, accessible facilities, and baby changing too! Safe outside seating in their sun-trap patio area. Friendly and helpful staff. Car parking for customers .

Had a full english and black coffee today, coffee superb best for a longtime, breakfast truly scrumptious. A real gem,great produce well cooked

Fab meals plenty on your plate warm and comfortable tables chairs and armchairs. Dogs yippee are allowed. Most of the food is locally sourced and much like the hadh browns and rice pudding are home made. Delicious. Slices of cake including vegan are just £2.00 a slice. All in all a great place to go. The staff are friendly. You can mix and match various meals and you can see the open plan kitchen. Well worth a visit. Watch it though it does close at 3pm. Once a month an all you can eat buffet in the evening is enjoyed for a set price.

A lovely friendly cafe which we visited for breakfast. Breakfast was lovely and good value and we can particularly recommend the hash browns !!

A proper cafe with a good selection of food and drink and very reasonable prices. Staff are helpful and friendly. We visited twice whilst on a weekend break in the Forest of Dean. The cafe is family friendly with a children’s corner which has toys, games and colouring books / pens. I can recommend the bubble and squeak . Coffee is good.

A nice location, very friendly and helpful staff. The tea was great and the cakes were truly delicious.

Nice hearty vegetarian meal here which can also be VEGAN (just ask to remove the egg) across the road from the Tourist Office near the Forestry Commission Trust house. (Just on the main road near the traffic Lights) Waiter was nice and polite. Can choose a nice sofa seat if you want to although I was at one of the wooden round tables watching them cook the nice breakfast/brunch Also in my view on sale was a nice slice of Victoria Sponge cake in the chilled section. Next time!

This cafe is fabulous! The food is the best of home style cooking and the wine was superb and very reasonable. The menu had lots of variety and the furnishings were excellent. If we could give 6 ,stars this would be the one. The service was very good. NO! Excellent!!! We recommend this one without reservation.

Staff are always super friendly in this community run cafe! Drinks were lovely - we had a hot choc, latte and mocha! The cakes looked delicious and great to have vegan options! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had GLUTEN FREE food options on the menu and quite a variety too! WiFi was quick and easy to get onto and it’s just overall a great little place to support the local community!

Nice place to meet up with friends family couple , good awesome staff brilliant, jacket potato wow , my mother inlaw fall over and staff come running to help brilliant can’t fault them

Popped here with the bus and and two small children. We took the comfy seats next to the children’s toys and had a very pleasant couple of hours whilst it was bucketing down outside. I had the house salad and it was delicious. The husband had a breakfast and the children had the pasta which was accompanied by fresh salads. The ambiance was lovely and the service friendly. It was so good that we lingered a little longer and had coffee and cakes afterwards. A great place to go if you want a tasty, good value lunch in this town,

Myself and my wife went here for lunch on arrival into Coleford. Food was lovely and the staff were very friendly.

Use this cafe regularly for snacks and occasional meals and always impressed. Always clean, staff are friendly and helpful, food is always tasty and plenty of it for a very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone visiting Coleford..would always recommend the cake, always fresh, light and tasty..my downfall!

Very friendly staff. My friends and I went for lunch. We ordered quiche, mousska and chicken with bacon.

We met friends here on our way to Perrygrove. We called ahead to book a table. We received a wonderfully friendly welcome. Delicious food. All home cooked and a great range. Wine and local beer and cider available. All very reasonably priced. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Weve been here a few times now and the food is always terrific.

I came here with an elderly friend seeking a good, cheap lunch. I was very impressed by the wide choice available from such a small kitchen, and it was clear that everything is freshly prepared. My quiche came with a generous side salad, and my friend's ham looked delicious, and came with a nicely cooked eggs and a massive portion of chips. The decor is delightful, I loved the cheerful and comfy chairs, and the staff were very friendly. The cafe is suitable for all ages, with toys available for children, and I anticipate returning at a later date, particularly as they are doing very reasonably priced Christmas lunches in December - booking advisable!

We came here almost by accident, we had some excellent food at a good price They do themed evenings as well which sound amazing. But both agreed we wanted to go back.

Really tasty food. piping hot, big portions and excellent value for money. The café has a brilliant ethos non profit making and deserves all the support it can get. My friend and I would highly recommend you give them a try you will not be disappointed.

Had a quick lunch of Welsh Rarebit (see pic). Very tasty. Good menu with plenty of vegetarian choice for us. Will definitely return

We went here on the last day of our 4 day holiday. We found the cafe and the staff to be very welcoming and it was great to see people of all abilities working here and doing a fantastic job. We ordered the cottage pie (one each) and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this cafe to other people visiting or who live in the local area!

Stopped in for a quick coffee today and the lady who served me was really nice and even though the coffee was an instant one, it was possibly the best I've had in a long time! Will be back for food sometime!

The whole evening was exceptional. Endless plates of food all very tasty wirh excellent customer service. The homemade cherry and lime Icecream was divine.

I have stopped here gor a tea or lunch a few times and I have always enjoyed it The community staff are very helpful and try their best to give good service. Give it a try and give a little back!

Mi experiencia de la comida ha sido excelente, hecha a base de ingredientes de alta calidad, sirve porciones abundantes y profesionalmente, atentos. Si estás en calidad y quieres Coleford snack/comida/merienda, entonces os recomiendo encarecidamente que vuelve. El wifi es gratuito y el ambiente relajante. I had to wait a long time for food when it did finally arrive it was cold andtasted funny. The chef was very rude and he didn't seem to care about customer satisfaction I told the manager who said it wasn't cold and didn't offer to warm the food up. I will not be coming back to this café.

This cafe is run by members of the community and offers some great and unusual food for light meals. It is worth a special visit to support this great community venture.

9 of us visited for our work Christmas Lunch. Absolutely delicious food, all plates clean, excellent value for money.

Just out of the centre of Coleford we found this community cafe, light and airy with a clean and well equipped open kitchen. Welcoming staff (mostly volunteers) the food ingredients are locally sourced and of superior quality, they even make there own sausages. The toilet facilities are spotless and modern. Also community activities take place in an adjoining room. The centre also supports assisted living accommodation next door. For me and my partner this is exactly the sort of project that should be running in most towns, they deserve praise and support. Visit, have food and drinks and know that the profits are ploughed back and not going towards a large corporation that avoids paying tax.Well impressed.

Having dropped into the Café on a wet Saturday morning we elected to have a brunch, the food was excellent and well presented. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and it was a lovely experience, in fact it set us up for the rest of the day.We will definitely be dropping in again.

A very light, airy, comfortable place to have a coffee and snack. We liked the decor and the option to use sofas or indoor/outdoor tables. Free wifi too.

Amazing little cafe with a great menu which also caters to those on a Gluten Free diet. The staff were friendly, polite and very efficient. I did find it a little hard to spot as it is not in the main town centre and I couldn't see a sign on the front of the building, it was only when I got up close I noticed it. I look forward to my next visit.

Really nice environment, has a lovely feeling about it. The staff were really helpful, the food was yummy and there was a good range of drinks. I was pleasantly surprised that they do sandwiches with gluten free bread.Will definitely be back and would highly recommend!
