Overpriced, ham egg and chips . Advertised as gourmet chips. just frozen stodgy chips, Snotty eggs and fatty ham. Very dissapointing

Lovely atmosphere but my husband and I had different food and both had horrible stomach issues afterwards:( I had Fritatta and Salad, he had Fish&Chips. The people next to us returned their salad as there seemed to be a dead insect in there. Hopefully the hygiene standards improve as it's got a lot of potential. It also took 30 minutes for them to deliver a slice of cake that was already on display.

This is a nice place to stop close to the M6 if you want to avoid service stations! Plenty of places to walk around, a big garden centre and shop. Food was a bit of a let down - cheese scones were dense and hard, breakfast sundae was not really as described and very sweet. Shame as it is a handy place to stop. Staff were nice though and you can take dogs in.

I ordered jacket with bacon bits and Brie Got uncooked jacket One slice of undercooked bacon very small slice of Brie few lettuce leafs two slices of tomato. Left half of it what a rubbish meal for £9 never again ☹️☹️☹️

Ok but not great. Definitely not as good as other Blue Diamond restaurants. Food was ok but took an along time. The jacket was a little hard I. Places and the cheese seemed stingy for £9. Not as well presented as Bridgemere in the restaurant and whilst it wasn’t empty, it wasn’t too busy. We were expecting better.

We had baguettes, which were both awful. The egg mayonnaise was inedible.

Great food, let down by poor management. Breakfast basic Items run out, queried at tills. Managers too busy to deal with, fobbed off. Customer problems should be your first priority as a manager... leaves a bad taste, especially given prices.

Discussing behaviour from staff how just shrugged their shoulders at me for bringing my concerns to them..order took for ever to arrive.. after finally arrived 15mins before closing time and we were then rushed to finish it time for closing.. the most poorly managed place I've ever visited.. avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being disappointed..

I fully understand it was busy when we arrived but when you wait 45 minutes for your food and it is dry, bland and your vegetables what little there were are brown in places it does give you any desire to return. Very poor

So yesterday we went to this restaurant,just to have a coffee with my husband and my child wanted a Coke. Went to the till to make the purchase first question asked was what table are you on,so I replied with the number. Sat down waited for our drinks,we waited and waited they where busy but for 3 drinks didn't think it would be over 20 minutes. So I went to find out what was going on,they stated that it wasn't placed I had the receipt that told me otherwise. They said that they had walked around with the order but I was on the lookout for our order. They said they will sort it. No apology. Again we waited another 10 mins and nothing AGAIN So again went to the counter and asked for a refund they said that it was ready and It was to late we have waited now 30mins for 3 drinks. Went to get a refund from the till had the refund yet again NO APOLOGY. My husband was waiting with my son and heard a man and lady talking about my refund. He started just "Give her the refund and GET HER OUT OF HERE" !!!! My husband went to the lady and asked what did that man say. "Was he the manager ?" He was. She totally denied that the comment was about me and said that it was about the lady who sorted my refund. One question, why would you say that about one of your employee's? You wouldn't Definitely will never go to this place again. Absolutely shocking service

Very mediocre. Went for breakfast and waited just under an hour for it to come out after ordering. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at this point either. Relatively expensive but that’s to be expected at trentham. Food was OK, nothing special and some of it was cold. Probably wouldn’t return.

One of the worst Sunday lunches have had

Three years ago this was a wonderful place, but recently we always seem to have problems ie wrong orders, big waits and the occasional dirty cups. As others have mentioned the tea bags must have gone out of date in 2012 and you only have enough water for one cup which is hopeless as sometimes the tea comes 10 mins before the food. Now looking elsewhere for weekend breakfasts

The gourmet chips were under cooked and low quality frozen chips. The food was well below average and expensive for the standard. It's was all pretty disappointing but the roast looked amazing. Wish I'd got a carvery. Garden Centre was good.

When we went for Sunday lunch there was no vegan option apart from soup. They used to offer a tomato galette and chickpea curry (both were nice).. It means that we will be very unlikely to go again unless things change . Please put a vegan option back on. Thank you

Had a terrible meal in the restaurant today. My wife ordered ham egg and chips, the ham was scraggy bits of bacon, because they said that they had no ham. The chips were well overcooked. They replaced the meal which then had ham on it !!! The manager said that he would pass the comments on to the chef. Trentham Gardens is a lovely place to visit, but we will not be eating in the restaurant in the garden centre, very disappointed.

As members of Trentham Gardens (6-7 years) we eat out a quite a lot on this estate but have avoided this place for a couple of years after another poor service. We thought after this time surely it couldn’t be bad but we were wrong. Really slow service 25 mins plus for mine then another 5 mins for the other breakfast both were not hot at all. Service was awful no organisation staff were wondering about slowly not a care in the world all looking fed up and depressed. Food tasted good but would have been nice if it was warmer and served a little quicker. We were one of the first in here and several others were served their food before we even had a sniff at ours. We won’t be back

We had lunch here yesterday, was absolutely awful, chips thick and cooked in old burnt fat as we could taste it, no vinegar.

Delicious food and quick service time. I recommend the beef Bourguignon, and the topside of beef!

Very disappointed. Very mediocre fare. My ploughman's had 2 slices of bland cheddar and processed ham. Risotto was just a tasteless mush of grey rice, supposed to come with parmesan cheese but didn't, had to ask for the parmesan. My daughter's dish was supposed to come with a poached egg. It didn't and even after asking,it never arrived. Had to go through about 10 knives to find 4 that were properly clean ! Really poor experience.....reminded me of a school canteen. Won't be going back any time soon.

They have no idea how to make a coffee, coffee used was poor quality coffee and I have a tea next they use the cheapest of teabags. I asked for a bacon cob with well done bacon, half was well done the other was white and barely cooked. Far better places in Trentham.

Awful! We arrived at quite a busy time and were expecting a bit of wait for food but…40 minutes for a plate of cheap ham, anaemic egg, sweaty cheese brown apple pieces and 2 pieces of cheap baguette. Not sure I’ve ever had a worse meal out, save your money I’d rather have gone hungry.

Great lunch at the restaurant Fish and Chips where excellent as usual.

We had lunch in the Six Arches Restaurant. The restaurant was busy, the staff were very pleasant and attentive, the food was served in good time and of good quality. All in all a very enjoyable lunch we will definitely eat here again next time we visit trentham gardens.

First time here. Ordered three meals. The salads came out completely different to what was listed on the menu - so not what we asked for and they said oh that’s the Greek salad it can change. Not accurate. Chips were well over cooked. Ham did not seem worth it. Tea pop was water stained and looked dirty. Had to go back twice for clean cutlery. One of the tea cups was dirty. Definitely an avoid from now on. So disappointed - had way higher expectations especially for the price and location. Staff were pleasant enough but seemed to busy to really help. Sign says wait by entrance and you will be seated - waiting for a while and then called a member of staff over who said just go find a table order and pay and everything will come to you. Well, apart from cutlery as we found out.

Had scrambled eggs on toast,toast sent back as not cooked and i think the scrambled eggs were made with butter greasy and brown,coffee bitter and cold, prices and menu make it look appetizing and a bit special but cheap brown bread and brown sloppy eggs definately a no no,wont be going there again.

Not a good experience on any level. Served 1 pot of tea when 3 were ordered, tried to speak to the waitress who ignored my "excuse me" then she brought another pot and cup but empty milk jug which she then went to fill. Lemon meringue was mushy more like sloppy marshmallow, mince pies were more pastry than anything and very average, cup did not fit the saucer causing my 88 mother in law to spill tea in her lap. Brought this all to the attention of the waitress who said "oh dear, do you have any plans for the afternoon" Then the original waitress took crockery from our table came to wipe without moving any of the things left on the table then picked up the empty trays spilling tea (that had spilt from the pot) all over the table and my partner and walked off!!! Not acceptable but no interest in our complaint either! Average cafe with dreadful service!

Very over priced and the food we had did not match the menu. We ordered the festive soup which should have included chilli oil, and topped with chestnuts, but had neither. The warm roll which should have came with it, became cold slices of bread. We ordered spring onions as one of the omelette fillings, but what we ended up with was sliced white onion. Don't list items on the menu if you're not going to include them...especially as the food is overpriced as well!!!!

Terrible, terrible! We had been coming here for years and the service has become so bad, my mum was practically in tears the whole time. Portions TINY, waiters RUDE and idle and unhelpful, cutlery had to grab yourself after the food came. desert menu they got rid of so had to grab a table, then run back to look at desserts which were at the front. Also Ik this is Christmas but it wasn’t that busy. Can’t believe the waiters were so rude, they made faces and walked away while u were speaking to them. Also this place used to be so classy, what happened!

Wouldn't even give this one star if I didn't have to! Not one to complain normally but can't actually think of anything positive to say! Ordered from the festive menu...starter and main arrived at the same time. The soup too hot to eat and the main just warm. Most of the food stated on the menu missing...no pigs in blankets, no sautéed Brussel sprouts, no braised red cabbage, no cranberry sauce however they had replaced the above with a rock hard Yorkshire pudding and raw kale! Definitely NOT worth the £45 we paid!

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon - 35 min wait despite being told 20 but appreciate it’s hard to estimate these things. Food was good, but pricey. I had the beef stew.

If you need a place to catch up, I definitely think this is a place to come. The food is average, I don't normally pay £13.50 for fish and chip, but the chips were crispy and tasty, fish properly the frozen stuff that is fried. Pot of tea for £2.25 was great, feels like it was worth the money, but ultimately, we just wanted somewhere to stay longer and not be rushed out, which I think this cafe offers. It's changed since covid, but still good for hanging around as plenty of tables.

Nice place. Inside Trentham shopping centre Food was good. Very disappointed that this is in the Potteries and are presented with chipped teapot, little pots. Its really disappointing and presentation let it down . Don’t expect any chipped, cups, pots , tea pots as this can chip again and carry germs. I spoke to the waitress who did nothing . Food is ££. Unless things improve I will not go to this restaurant again

Arrived for lunch, staff explained system & we found a seat & ordered our food at till as requested. 2 americanos,1 ploughmans & a halloumi salad. The coffees took about 15 mins to arrive by which time they were cool. After about a further 30 mins we asked about our food as felt even though they were busy 40+ mins was too long to wait. About 10 mins later a waitress delivered our food & said the issue had been that the kitchen hadnt been given an order for the halloumi but at least we knew it was fresh ! . She apologised & noticed our coffee was empty so brought us a fresh cup each. The ploughmans was great & although the halloumi salad was fresh & hot it showed a definate lack of halloumi. We called the waitress over & pointed this out & she went to talk to kitchen. When she returned she told us it was because they had no halloumi & it shouldnt have been offered to us. She did offer feta or goats cheese but as by now we had been waiting over an hour I declined as did not want any further delay. She left saying she would have a word with the manager but we didnt see her or any management again. Although the staff are very pleasant I will not be returning.

The worst place we have ever visited

Yorkshire pudding could probably knock somebody out and the amount of gravy for the size of the dinner just about covered one potato.

Absolutely awful Beef Bourguignon. Tough, stringy meat, gravy dried up. Seasonal vegetables consisted of 3 stalks of very hard to cut purple sprouting broccoli and some pea shoots (which should have been a garnish, not a vegetable) and a chunk of barely cooked crusty bread. Deteriorated markedly since re-opening after the Lockdowns. I used to enjoy coming to this restaurant, but this will be my last visit.

I visit Six Arches weekly for Sunday Lunch etc..both food and service are first class.

Rubbish system and service tbh. At first the table wasn’t cleaned. They tell you to find a table and then come inside to order by the time you’ve ordered someone will go and sit in your table - which happened to us twice. Then we ordered food and they didn’t give any cutlery so again out of our seats to get the cutlery as staff don’t even want to notice you. I wouldn’t recommend wasting money here.

Nice place great staff and good breakfast but the tea bags are terrible. The tea spoiled the breakfast, you need a good brew and the tea bags they use taste very cheap. Buy better tea it makes a big difference.

Staff were pleasant. Coffee was not hot and our Sunday roasts were tepid.. Obviously serving both drinks and food on cold crockery that absorbes all the heat of the food. Easily solved. Will not go again.

Excellent food and customer service

We went first to the Italian restaurant but although it said it was open on the net, it was closed. We then went to the Six Arches, it seemed busy and popular so we though we'd give it a go. We had to queue for about 10 mins but we were soon found a table by a very pleasant waiter, the tables were cleared and clean, which is more than can be said of the coffee area. There were 4 of us and we had a range of meals, which were served by very pleasant staff, and the meals were all hot, tasty and substantial, we will go there again. Good value for money.

Normally the experience & food is wonderful; but today we were disappointed. The drinks came way too soon and dinner a long wait. The hot meal was tasty. Our puds, Toffee Fudge Gateau extremely dry, and Black Forest had no cherry layer at all,& 2 lil cherries on top, one with a stone still in. We had barely stood up and dishes being yanked off table whilst we were trying to put our coats on. Very sad

Table service not working... very poor service.

Absolutely wonderful experience, couldn't do enough for you. Meal was beautiful. Staff were all amazing. What a difference the staff can make to your meal. Thank you, thank you, thank you.😊 keep up the good work.

If you want good service and hot food you should avoid at all costs. We were served cold chips and the rest of the meals were warm at best. This was after a 35 minute wait for service. On complaining to the manager, he was rude insisting the meal's were fine by him. At top prices we expect to have a quality meal. Unfortunately this is not the place to have one.

We often go for breakfast at the weekend and the breakfast is good..i would have given 5 starts had i ever had snything but COLD toast. This is one of my pet hates and the toast is thrown away every werk. Please can we have warm toast that melts your butter..cold toast is awful..what a waste

Nothing special, but food was ok.

This place has so much potential but unfortunately it was not well organised, half the food had descriptor cards but the rest you had the guess the staff were manic the queuing system went out the window they just shouted at anyone who was browsing to order it was like a London Market, food quality was okay, some things were very expensive which is what you expect for a garden centre but it should at least be tasty - save yourself a disappointment and go for food in the shopping village

2 stars for the food which was ok but not great. Service, however was appalling. Staff were impatient, rude and generally unpleasant. Will not waste my time or money here again.

Very busy but good food and lots of present ideas

Like this restaurant a lot. We go for breakfast everything's we visit Trentham. My only criticism, is that sometimes the food could be a little hotter.

The whole experience was very enjoyable. The staffing and the food were lovely. It's not going to be the cheapest you ever had but it's well worth the extra. Will definitely be returning.

Dreadful food. I paid £8.99 for a wedge of breaded brie served with two teaspoons of yoghurt, a little salad and (literally) raw cauliflower, all served ice-cold. It was utterly revolting and virtually inedible. At least the portions were mercifully small.

There are lots of good places to eat at Trentham, this isn't one of them. Poor service, waiting for ages at the counters. The food was stale, must have been standing around for ages, and was expensive too. In addition, there was a sign saying ask staff about food allergies but when asked they couldn't provide anything (!) that was gluten free. Avoid at all costs.

not sure what's happened to quality here, used to be lovely quality food now just poor slapped on to a plate like a service station, don't mind paying prices if getting nice food. I don't normally put reviews on but feel feedback needed as going down hill fast.

located within the Trentham Garden Center this restaurant serves Italian dishes including freshly baked pizza. The menu has a good selection available with some beautiful pasta dishes. The restaurant is always kept clean and tidy and presented well, the outdoor seating area is beautiful during the summer months. With good coffee and drinks selection it's also a good place to call in for a quick drink. Would recommend to anyone.

Just returned after having lunch here with my friend. I don't normally do this, but I have to say that our lunch was appalling! I started off by returning a Cajun chicken wrap because it was so dry. Then myself and my friend discovered that the cucumber in our side salad was slimy and had gone off, and this had been in contact with the rest of the salad!!! We gave up and left it at this point. A complete waste of money! We won't be returning!!!

Not amazing, food was OK though atmosphere wasn't great. What you would expect from a stop en route.

Soup cold, chairs really uncomfortable and low compared to the table, difficult to find a table, tables are to close together so its cramped for pushchairs, carvery was bland, dry yorkshire puddings, chargrill chicken was so tough my son couldnt chew it, flapjack was very dry, bread roll with soup was almost stale, custard was made with water so it was tasteless.... oh and my youngest son could eat chocolate brownie till it came out his ears but he didnt even eat half so im assuming that was dry too. Literally the only thing that gets a star is the freshly squeezed orange juice !! Was v.tasty. Wouldnt visit again.

The food is quite good here considering that it is really just a large cafe. And the cakes are great!
