We had a engagement meal with family, but I would say the service could be better. There were things missing off the meals ordered, and 3 desserts got cancelled because we got fed up of waiting for them. 40 minutes and they hadn't turned up. I would definitely say room for improvement

Stick to the carvery anything off the main menu seems an inconvenience to them

We visited the bar pub today. Everything was fine, the portions are huge for a great price. The only thing that disappointed us are the sticky tables and all the menus were sticky and dirty. I recommend that they change clothes more often or wash them more often. We will definitely visit again so hopefully this will be fixed.

Went to the wacky warehouse for a party waited 20 mins for 2 cokes for them to bring a full fat coke instead of coke zero, luckily I'm not diabetic. Can't comment about the food but the carvery looked nice.

Genuinely friendly staff, best food and all round great place. Was quite busy but any place that's good to eat will be. Can't wait to come back. Also the steak and chicken with fondue was great.

Called in for a burger and pint deal, burger was huge and tasted so good, pint of more to to wash it down, amazing value at £10, will definitely be back!!

Good atmosphere and service. Food is just alright, only thing its got is carvery, which is nice when you want a quick and easy meal but it gets old when you only have that. The burger buns are dry, portions of tikka masala is not that much and katsu curry and steaks are good enough. Sometimes there are events that make it so busy and this is subjective but I dont like it, it becomes so noisy, food takes longer to prepare and waiters are never around.

Came last Sunday for a quick roast dinner, had been told there was a 20 minute wait we must have been waiting at least 35 mins. The veg from the roast ( carrots broccoli cauliflower) were all rock hard and not appetising to eat although it tasted nice it was too hard to eat. The mash was not food standard it was a powdery sloppy mess and was hard to eat off a fork it was that sticky 😂 pretty sure the mash gave me belly ache straight away or could have been something else. I’m not even a person to moan to be fair but the seating areas were rammed, the noise of glasses being picked up by the waiters harshly. It was all just overwhelming and didn’t enjoy being sat in there. Other than that doubt I’ll be coming again unless the food cooking standard increases and it’s not as busy.

Not the best food, the nachos were really soggy due to the chilli separating and pooling liquid in the dish. The jalepeno cheese bites and garlic mushrooms were decent though. However the service was fantastic, really warm, friendly and attentive staff :)

Had an issue with my order, no problem these things happen, I point it out to the gentleman serving me, who then blames me for the mistake even though it was clearly the fault of the establishment. The waiter then continued to argue with me about it instead of just admitting they had messed up, finally it was replaced with food only fit for the bin. The makeover of the place looks nice, but if you hire extremely rude staff, it will turn people away. Hence to say this is one long standing customer that won't be returning.

The pub is absolutely outstanding, first visit after it’s had a full refurb and it looks amazing, great atmosphere, foods amazing, we had carvery and it was unbelievable, plenty of people sat about having food off the menu and it all looked really nice would definitely recommend a visit here

The girl that was serving in the kids play area was very rude I asked if there was any other home boxes to take food home because the box that I had had hairs in, she said no there is not I said can’t you check she said no so it’s getting a 1 star

A good place for a nice carvery with all the usual choices and trimmings and also normal pub meals. Plenty of seating and a quick and efficient service.

Myself and my partner attended your establishment yesterday afternoon, your chef had a poor attitude, he said he was on his own and we would have to wait because there was a lack of certain items on display. We both had Turkey which is coincidental because we both are extremely poorly this morning. I don't like the idea of placing fresh veg on top of food that's been on display for a don't know how long. I would suggest you revue your working practices because we don't want to experience something like this again. I don't write a negative review if it's not justified

Not brilliant on my last visit. Had carvery and got my money back as the meat was like old boots. Saying that I have had good experiences here. Maybe they need to work on consistency.

Always brilliant when we come in. James the TL on the bar always chatty with us. And always puts a smile om out faces. Food is excellent especially the carvery and the refurb and new look is stunning.

We have gone to Sir Jacks for many years for a carvery, we usually don’t have a problem with the food. A while back we complained about the Yorkshire puddings being too dry and literally disintegrating, lately this has been fine. Our gripe at the moment is the vegetables aren’t cooked properly and are too hard, we mentioned this but hasn’t changed anything. We went 2 weeks ago and the same thing, the waitress asked if our meals were ok and I said yes apart from the under cooked vegetables. She said they needed a bit longer and she would have a word with the kitchen, this has happened a number of times and wonder if the issue will ever be rectified. We still visit but just don’t like under cooked vegetables.

Katsu curry was terrible. Naan was like eating a chamoise leather, rice and sauce was luke warm and garnish was missing completely.

Passable carvery, very dry meats and slightly undercooked on a few of the veggies. Generous portions by the carver, just needs a more attentive kitchen staff

The food was nice, the atmosphere was nice, but the location was let down by the Green King App. No fault of the location, but I have deducted a star due to the poor customer service caused by the app. I ordered 5 carveries, 1 non-carvery meal, and drinks. After payment, the app message said vouchers for the carvery would be brought to the table. The non-carvery meal came and was half eaten, then the drinks came, but no vouchers for the carvery. Eventually, after the non-carvery eater had almost completed their meal, I asked a passing waiter how long we would have to wait for the vouchers to take to the carvery. We were told we wouldn’t be given vouchers, and just needed to show my phone receipt at the carvery counter. We could have done that straight away, but instead, we had wasted our time by obeying the instructions of the app to wait for the voucher’s and they would be delivered to the table. The whole thing spoilt our experience, and instead of enjoying a meal with all my grandchildren, some ate together whilst one had virtually finished before the rest of us had begun. Nice place and the food was great, but the app ruined the experience.

Ordered a few starters (nachos & spicy corn). The nachos came with chilli sauce from the main that had filtered out all the juice to the bottom of the plate alongside the corn, having no cutlery or napkins. The mixed grill had no seasoning whatsoever with the rare steak arriving cold. The light fixture in our section above the table was constantly flickering on and off, making the section very dark. Service was also slow for the drinks too (est 4-5 mins) TLTR: Looks appealing from the outside but you could genuinely go for a McDonald's across the road and save money and time.

Wow.. Well presented together with bubbly friendly staff. Such a wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely come again. Food was top notch presented well and served without a long wait, Will recommend to both friends and family.

After renovation looks nice. But meat portions are half of the size it was before. Plates underneath and cutlery all dirty

First time I have been in since refurb.Not impressed .Had gammon and wouldn't have known if I hadn't seen it being carved.Also my wife who weighs 8 stone had more meat than me.The mash potato would be better for plastering a wall,the roast potato's were tastless,the sprouts were nearly raw and the gave was the consistency of water.Needless to say I won't be visiting again.Stonehouse is far better and 2quid cheeper

Stale, day old food on a Sunday of all days. Been going for years and this is by far the worst we've ever had. Roast potatoes tasted like stale grease, meat was dry and tasteless. Carrots were nice but the rest of the small selection of veg was bland. Will not be coming back. The revamp looked nice.

Fantastic establishment, welcoming staff, great atmosphere, wonderful service. Plus the food and drinks menu are brilliant. Would recommend.

I can’t comment on the food or other aspects as we didn’t have any however I was disappointed with the misleading website as I googled places with both indoor and outdoor play space for my 1.5 year old and the site says there is indoor play and outdoor play. There is no outdoor play whatsoever. So that needs an update. The annoying thing is I travelled to come here on that assumption alone. The other slightly annoying thing is the children’s play space for under 2’s and under 5’s have no gate so you’re constantly chasing the kids back inside whether crawling or walking. Oversight in my opinion. The cost for a 1.5 year old was over £6 which is quite a lot however there is no cost for the adults which was a bonus.

Visited Friday 2nd August and had an enjoyable meal with drinks. Only downside, if you can call it that, is that the table menus are in real need of wiping clean as they have sticky food residue on them. Not pleasant and doesn’t take much to remedy.

Ordered a burger bread cake was nearly stale and no check back poor service 2nd time now this has happened

Went to sirjacks a few years ago service was terrible the food when it arrived it was cold complained about the food got no response from management so walked out never to go again but wife wanted to call so I said let's give it a try what a transformation they have done good service and the food was excellent friendly staff and not bad price would recommend going to sir Jack's keep up the good work

What spoilt this was a fews days later I received a parking fine for £100.00. I didn't know there was restrictions on parking as I used to visit regularly but not in the last year. I was there for just over 4 hours meeting a friend, we both had a meal and several drinks so spent quite a bit of money, it's not like I parked there and went somewhere else. I shall think twice before visiting again

Not good for dairy allergy sufferers. They started out ok and had the allergy list for their foods. Wife just wanted the carvery vegetables and gravy anyway, but many on the list that she could have were not out being served, and when she got to the serving counter the guy quickly disappeared, she ended up with a little bit of broccoli, a few parsnips and onion gravy. There was a limited choice for vegans too, just two items on the main menu. Given its recent "upgrade" in July 2024 I expected better. It is the worst experience we've had in recent years by far. That said, if you dont have allergy issues, the carvery was nice that I had thus it does get two stars.

Wow! have they go there act together! the last time we went in we said we wouldn't go back it was that bad! we only called in to see the renovations and I'm so glad we did the food was the tastiest Iv ever had in that place! absolutely spot on for the money no complaints whatsoever. 😀👍

Went in on Friday evening to see how it looks after the refurb, pub was absolutely packed could definitely tell the staff were rushed off there feet. Food was still amazing even if we did wait 45 minutes for it was definitely worth it, will definitely be back.

No food stopped serving at 8.50 pm,no draft larger,and not very friendly staff.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was not hot. The fish and chips were not nice and not eaten. The steak was expensive, and the portion was very small. I will not be eating there again.

1st time and last. Terrible slow bar service food even worse. Steak pie lacking steak and smash potatoes. Steak full of fat and under cooked. Manager walks and asks everything ok and before you can reply disappears. Just another chain pub serving rubbish pre cooked food.

Booked a table for a funeral for 23 people n only 10 turned up. The food was absolutely disgusting from start to finish. All the meat was disgusting. Roast potatoes was cold. Parsnips was so hard. Cabbage wasn't done n as for the yorkshire pudding well I must they was hard as hell. If you treat your customers like after a refurbishment like that then no one will be going in. It's wasnt the first time we been in after your refurbishment last week we went in too n all the food still wasnt up to standed at all. The food should be up to standard after the refurbishment but still the same as before. Let's put it this way it will be the last time we coming in until they do something with the food n make it nice. You don't pay money out to get food like that. Sir jacks you've lost our customers now..

Firstly when we walked in and seen the new decor it is beautiful, I came in with my sister and we both had carvery, we was waited on by Faye who was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, 10/10 it was lovely, if I could critique one thing it would be the beef it was a little tough but still nice, we also had a pudding each which was to die for sticky toffee pudding and apple pie, our overall experience was 10/10 would 100% recommend.
