A meal of forgettable quality accompanied with exceptionally rude service. Friend ordered a dish that was meant to be marinated ahead of you cooking it at your table and it arrived without marinade. When we asked if there had been a mix up the waitress had to audacity to call us rude after saying "of course" when asked if we would like them to replace it with the correct dish. The replacement was still unmarinaded. The "solution" to the error was to cover the dish in some sauce. Not sure if the message was properly given to the kitchen staff or the waitress had asked them to prepare the dish that way. Overall quite a unsavoury atmosphere that made it difficult to take any enjoyment from.

Had a great early meal here before going to a concert at the nearby Apollo. There is an open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared which is always enjoyable. The food was delicious, very good value for money and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Table space is limited which is a shame. It would be great if they could reconfigure to fit in a few more tables - but only if they don't lose the open kitchen

Being able to sit down at Simya and experience the “Korean Famous bbq” is really something that can’t be neglected. The platter that been served to our table was anonymous winner for our taste, budget friendly and worth every single penny. The miso soup was superb! I enjoyed that very much and so my companions. The bimbimbap and the other rice dish was great too! A restaurant can only be called legendary if there’s a perfect server looking after you, luckily we had Hsin-Pei to wrap and make things possible for us! We will definitely come back to have a feast again!

My favourites are definitely the crab cakes, Tteokbokki and Pork Belly! It did not disappoint for a first time trying Korean food. Presentation and setting was beautiful. A little on the expensive side and the portion sizes were smaller than I expected.

Clean cut decor and efficient friendly service was slightly let down by lackadaisical cooking. Flavours were good but actual execution was not on point. Maybe just an off day when the chefs weren't feeling it and would rather be on their phones or play around with chopsticks. So it might be worth trying again as the lunch menu at £13/14 for 2 courses. The chicken gangjung had good flavour but the batter was not fully cooked through. Unfortunately the dolsot bibimbap didn't appear to be cooked in a hot bowl but all the ingredients felt like they were just spooned into a warm bowl - so no nice crispy bits of rice. The egg wasn't runny, the beef had a bit of a hum and the veg was just there. It seemed a bit lazy, which was unfortunate because the sauce that held everything together was great.

Friendly staff, good food, very good BBQ beef and Bibimbap. They were happy for only 1 of us to have the in-table BBQ. Was a bit worried after reading other reviews, but our portions were a good size.

Great location on the outside of Hammersmith tube station, Simya is a pretty looking Korean joint where you can cook your own food in front of you on a grill. Starters were tasty. The kimchi pancakes really standout. The chicken mandoo were equally delicious yet thought only four in a portion for £6 was stingy. For mains we shared the chicken and pork belly Korean bbq. Again portions were a tad small and also it didn’t seem that the meat had been marinated. We paid an extra fiver for some lettuce and garlic to wrap the meat in. All felt a little underwhelming. Stylish yet lacks in substance.

Tasty. A bit on the expensive side though. Service was attentive and food came out without too much of a delay. Would definitely recommend.

I’m really sad to have to write this review given that I’ve loved Simya from visiting the first branch at north end road, to West Brompton and unfortunately the Hammersmith branch was incredibly disappointing. We have always get incredibly welcomed by the staff but our visit to Simya was met with rude, unhelpful staff members who continued to make mistakes. There were two occasions when incorrect food came out, the waiter had written it down wrong despite confirming our order with us. We were concerned at the cost of the green tea because at £5, it is more expensive that an alcohol drink! I was shocked to find “crispy seaweed” is in fact cut up sheets of nori seaweed charged at £4 for 6 sheets. Absolutely shocking. When bringing this up with the manager, he did not care. For 3 people, the bill came to over £60 and this did not include the dishes that we cancelled due to their mistake. As I said, I’m so sad to write this review, and tried to contact them to express my sadness but received no response. The food itself has lost its quality and is not as tasty as the other branches. I don’t know how much Chef Choi is involved now but it saddens me that the restaurants aren’t consistent.

Simya's BBQ portion was very disappointing for its high price. Not worth coming here if you are here for the KBBQ experience. I was shocked at how little meat we got compared to the other KBBQs restaurant around the area. Pork belly was literally three small slices, and the kalbis was also probably 10-12 small pieces too. The rice portions were pitiful for £1.90, and the kimchi, lettuce sides is very overpriced (£5 for a not very big portion). Do not recommend here if you want to try KBBQ.

Hammersmith has a range of interesting restaurants, but sometimes you want to try something new, Simya Korean Restaurant is a fairly new restaurant and unless you look for the restaurant on the Broadway you may accidentally miss the entrance. Business meetings always become more meaningful when you can share exotic and delightful food, Simya created the perfect environment, set the scene for a a perfect meal, delights of chicken, fish and pancakes. A really great find in Hammersmith, great service, the delights of great food, authenticity - absolutely I will return!

V friendly staff and efficient service. Fried egg and poached egg on toast. Tasty but would prefer the eggs to be on the toast rather than to the side. Nice cup of tea also. Is a bit pricey though.

Great place, I went there years ago when my current wife first came to visit London. The atmosphere was chilled and we hung out in the garden.

Ordered for take-away. Nice and attentive service. Fair pricing for quantity but disappointing in quality. Lacked taste/bland. Beef patty had a soap scent more than anything. Came with a generous amount of fries although too salty, undercooked and overcooked oil. Glad did not over order. Restaurant was dark and hygiene was subpar. Won’t repeat. Not recomendable.

The Food (Moqueca Curry and Blackened Prawns) was OK. I would rate the food at about 4. The service from Gesica and Sophia was excellent (Humor and effective) and I would rate it at 5.
