We had Iftar at Mughal Restaurant’s buffet. The restaurant has a calm and tranquil atmosphere, creating a welcoming and familiar vibe. The traditional décor is beautifully done, adding to the overall experience. However, the buffet selection was a bit disappointing. We were expecting classic Pakistani dishes like haleem, nihari, and saag, but instead, most of the options were just different types of curry with various meats. On the bright side, the dessert section was diverse and enjoyable. Now, let’s talk about the bill. It was quite expensive—£70 in total. I was charged the full price for my 4.5-year-old daughter, and two small bottles of Sprite cost £6, which felt excessive. On a positive note, the service was excellent—quick, professional, and attentive. A special shoutout to the receptionist, who was exceptionally kind, polite, and professional. Overall, while the service and ambiance were great, the buffet selection and pricing left much to be desired .

This used to be a great spot for food a few years ago but maybe i have become older and wiser with my food or the food has just become poor quality. I visited after a while yesterday and was greeted with the familiar decor and ambiance from my previous visits which is good because thats all the positives really. Its big, spacious, certain areas look nice and there is a big car park (it was a friday evening and we managed to fit into the car park. The negatives. Well the negatives are everything else. Service was quick but the reason for that is everything is pre made. It feels like it. We ordered a Karahi gohst and let me tell you something, just because you put shavings of ginger on top of a curry, you cannot call it a Karahi. It tasted like the meat curries you get at weddings (Bengali weddings). Im not saying that meat curry isn’t nice but it tasted like it was made in a massive pot like those wedding dishes. it was NOT a karahi. We also ordered a butter chicken which was just ok. Chips were just frozen fries with masala sprinkled on top. The Nans. Well they aren’t really nans are they. They are Parathas with stuffing in it. A nan is soft, thick & fluffy and those were not. I wish i’d taken pics but why bother. Please revise the menu and your cooking methods. You can’t even ask for tap water these days, they give you a 750ml bottle of overpriced water. Not everything has to cost!
