Very tasty food and friendly staff, however the wait time for food was already quite long and then took even longer. The food however tasted very fresh and nice. And good value for money for anything on the menu

Bought a few dishes from this place. Too much oil, no much taste and lot of sauce. Lady at the front was very attentive.

Simply the best…. Have tried others when they have been shut but nothing comes close for great food, chat & cost. 😋

Really great Chinese takeaway. Much better than some of the other Chinese takeaways in the area that I've tried, and at a competitive price. I'll definitely be back as long as quality stays consistent.

Amazing food, fairly priced with super friendly service!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the food. The portion of soup is much smaller and tasteless. Sweet & sour chicken was fresh and crunchy. Fry rice was standard but do not buy no chop suey dishes it was awful. The service was very good.

Used to be a regular when I lived in Ham as a student over 20 years ago & then when I moved to Teddington. Driving past, decided to pop in & get a takeaway for nostalgia & a trip down memory lane. Sue is as lovely as ever, so friendly. Food just as tasty & still able to get my absolute favourite - chicken & cashew nuts in a yellow bean sauce - so good! Very impressed by the actions they have taken as a result of Covid. I hope they’ve got a good discount at their supplier of anti-bac wipes as everyone is given one to use to open the door as you leave! The place is absolutely spotless.

Silver river has been my go to chinese ever since I was a young lad. No matter how far away I move, I will always go to silver river if I fancy a really good chinese. The food is great with decent portions, the staff are lovely and the service is quick. Only wish they would deliver but then why would they when they are worth the travel...

Great food, better than all Chinese takeaways I've ever had! The lady at the counter was extremely friendly, even offered us an antibacterial wipe to clean our hands. Will definitely come back!

I ordered a takeaway from here tonight. As previous reviews say- sue the owner is lovely. Very helpful and clearly takes pride in her food; as well as a welcome reception. The portions are really big and food nice and hot. The chicken chow mein and chilli beef were great. Also ordered chicken balls. Batter was reasonable but slightly heavy. I ordered online and food was ready in 15 minutes. The owners waited until I was there to do the chill beef, as I was told that it makes the sauce better if cooked straight away. A lovely touch to ensure food is served to the highest quality. However, a great takeaway and will come again soon.

Having worked next door to Silver River for the past 8 years I may be just a bit biased with my views but.... as a family we all really love the food at Silver River and the wonderful warm welcome we always get by Sue at the counter or by Eddy the chef. Our favourites are Half of Crispy Fried Duck to start with, or salt and pepper ribs, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, or Sweet and sour balls, Singapore Noodles, and Beef with ginger. It is always cooked to order so fresh and piping hot when you walk out of the shop. Keep up the good work, best wishes Peter and Emma Greenwood

Absolutely is my all time favourite Chinese take out. Pleasant and friendly vibe as soon as you walk in. Been using this Chinese takeout for years! Never had any problems with the food , reasonable prices and great customer service. I highly recommend you try this Chinese take out if you haven't already !

Food is delicious and the lady who runs Silver River is very friendly. My favourite Chinese food in the area. Everything is tasty but the chicken curry and chips are my personal choice, a guilty pleasure. A lot of the dishes are more healthy than normal Chinese. Can't recommend enough.

Been going here for the last few years now and always happy with the food and service. Sue is a real diamond and knows her regulars well. I'm amazed how she remembers so many names! I love the crispy chili beef, Singapore noodles and the king prawn balls.

The best Chinese on the Richmond road

Low prices, cheaper than home made, quite popular place. Took away there couple of times as we live round the corner. I can not say the quality is excellent, yet it is reasonable.

Been going here for over 10 years. Food is consistently hot and lovely, super friendly family run business and certainly the best chinese in town. Ive tried them all!

Seaweed bone dry and tasteless sweet and sour sauce was acidic and vinegary. Hair found in chicken curry. Never again

Needed a top up meal while in the area, bit of a wait but I got the impression that it's a popular take-away. Food was piping hot and tasty although the prawn toasts were a bit overcooked for my taste. Pleased that unlike many take away restaurants the food wasn't massively over salted. Clean tidy frontage and very pleasant lady taking orders. Would pop in again when in the area.

We have been using this Chinese take out for years since living in the area. The food is scrumptious and always lives up too expectations everytime in the whole time we have been using it in the 12 years. Sue is incredibly proffessional and friendly and has great people skills on front desk. I would highly recommend this take out too friends and have previously recommended to family and they loved it! The food here has been consistently excellent for years now. Don't go to Planet China just down the road, it is far inferior. Sue in Silver River is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for her. Simply the best chinese food anywhere.
