Love Silver River the best Chinese round

Ordered the chili garlic chicken, i asked if it was fried, lady said it was stir fried, came home and saw this, this is NOT stir fried. Called the shop and the lady argued with me and was rude. Ordered the crispy chili beef and egg fried rice too. Nothing was nice imo, even the service. Needless to say, im not going back there anymore.

Been going here for over 30 years wherever I am in the uk I always come here for my Chinese takeaway. I now live in Essex came here last Saturday and eat my dinner by the Thames amazing food thank you.

Really nice service, people, and location. But sadly the food was not up to standard. The lemon chicken was not breaded and was unappealing, accompanied with too strong lemon sauce. The Crispy chilli beef was too dry and felt very floury, not cooked the preferred standard. And the sweet and sour chicken was nothing to sing about. It pains me to write this as the service and hospitality was great, but the food didn’t meet the standard

Bought a few dishes from this place. Too much oil, no much taste and lot of sauce. Lady at the front was very attentive.

Really great Chinese takeaway. Much better than some of the other Chinese takeaways in the area that I've tried, and at a competitive price. I'll definitely be back as long as quality stays consistent.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the food. The portion of soup is much smaller and tasteless. Sweet & sour chicken was fresh and crunchy. Fry rice was standard but do not buy no chop suey dishes it was awful. The service was very good.

Solía ser un habitual cuando vivía en Ham como estudiante hace más de 20 años y luego cuando me mudé a Teddington. Pasando por delante, decidió aparecer y obtener una comida para llevar por la nostalgia y un viaje al pasado. Sue es tan hermosa como siempre, tan amigable. La comida es igual de sabrosa y aún puedo obtener mi favorito absoluto: pollo y anacardos en salsa de frijoles amarillos, ¡qué bueno! Muy impresionado por las acciones que han tomado como resultado de Covid. Espero que tengan un buen descuento en su proveedor de toallitas anti-bac, ya que a todos se les da una para abrir la puerta al salir. El lugar está absolutamente impecable.

Silver River ha sido mi destino chino desde que era un muchacho. No importa lo lejos que me mueva, siempre iré a Silver River si me apetece un buen chino. La comida es excelente con porciones decentes, el personal es encantador y el servicio es rápido. Solo desearía que entregaran, pero entonces ¿por qué lo harían cuando vale la pena el viaje? . .

Great food, better than all Chinese takeaways I've ever had! The lady at the counter was extremely friendly, even offered us an antibacterial wipe to clean our hands. Will definitely come back!

Pedí una comida para llevar de aquí esta noche. Como dicen las críticas anteriores, demandar al dueño es encantador. Muy servicial y claramente se enorgullece de su comida; así como una recepción de bienvenida. Las raciones son muy grandes y la comida agradable y caliente. El pollo chow mein y chili carne eran geniales. También pedimos bolas de pollo. La masa era razonable pero un poco pesada. Pedí en línea y la comida estaba lista en 15 minutos. Los propietarios esperaron hasta que estuve allí para hacer la carne fría, ya que me dijeron que hace que la salsa mejore si se cocina de inmediato. Un toque encantador para garantizar que la comida se sirva con la más alta calidad. Sin embargo, una gran comida para llevar y volveré pronto.

Having worked next door to Silver River for the past 8 years I may be just a bit biased with my views but.... as a family we all really love the food at Silver River and the wonderful warm welcome we always get by Sue at the counter or by Eddy the chef. Our favourites are Half of Crispy Fried Duck to start with, or salt and pepper ribs, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, or Sweet and sour balls, Singapore Noodles, and Beef with ginger. It is always cooked to order so fresh and piping hot when you walk out of the shop. Keep up the good work, best wishes Peter and Emma Greenwood

Absolutely is my all time favourite Chinese take out. Pleasant and friendly vibe as soon as you walk in. Been using this Chinese takeout for years! Never had any problems with the food , reasonable prices and great customer service. I highly recommend you try this Chinese take out if you haven't already !

Food is delicious and the lady who runs Silver River is very friendly. My favourite Chinese food in the area. Everything is tasty but the chicken curry and chips are my personal choice, a guilty pleasure. A lot of the dishes are more healthy than normal Chinese. Can't recommend enough.

The best Chinese on the Richmond road

Low prices, cheaper than home made, quite popular place. Took away there couple of times as we live round the corner. I can not say the quality is excellent, yet it is reasonable.

Been going here for over 10 years. Food is consistently hot and lovely, super friendly family run business and certainly the best chinese in town. Ive tried them all!

Seaweed bone dry and tasteless sweet and sour sauce was acidic and vinegary. Hair found in chicken curry. Never again

Needed a top up meal while in the area, bit of a wait but I got the impression that it's a popular take-away. Food was piping hot and tasty although the prawn toasts were a bit overcooked for my taste. Pleased that unlike many take away restaurants the food wasn't massively over salted. Clean tidy frontage and very pleasant lady taking orders. Would pop in again when in the area.

We have been using this Chinese take out for years since living in the area. The food is scrumptious and always lives up too expectations everytime in the whole time we have been using it in the 12 years. Sue is incredibly proffessional and friendly and has great people skills on front desk. I would highly recommend this take out too friends and have previously recommended to family and they loved it! The food here has been consistently excellent for years now. Don't go to Planet China just down the road, it is far inferior. Sue in Silver River is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for her. Simply the best chinese food anywhere.
