If I could rate the customer service 0 I would. I'm a delivery rider and went in to collect an order, with a smile on my face and with a hello, how are you? What I got back was Go other there, with no friendliness at all, when I questioned her about her customer service she said I can't collect the order which is fine by me as I got one straight after. What restaurants need to really understand is that we are delivering YOUR food to YOUR customers, so at least treat us with just the slightest bit of respect.

This is British food and that's the worst insult a person can throw at food. The chicken's completely falvourless and way-overcooked. It had a rubbery texture and had basically been boiled in nothing but water.

My husband and I ordered the roast duck + BBQ pork rice combo and beef brisket lo mein. One of the worst meal we had in a while. Honestly, it was so bad we nearly touched it.

Had the 2-meat + rice combo. The chicken and duck were delicious. The portion can be too large for travellers with a smaller appetite. I will come again!

Chanced upon Mama Li and tried it. Hassle free ordering system and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 meat combo x 2 pax. The duck, soy sauce chicken, charsiew and roasted pork were all great. Even my picky husband gave praises!

Nice takeaway Cantonese meat place near tower bridge, good modern screens to order on and wait for your food. The meat wasn't as good as I had in Hong Kong but was still good. The duck was my favourite, and also the ginger and garlic sauce is a must have on the side.

Absolutely terrible!!!! Missing part of the order (egg fried rice) and what did arrive was stone cold, like it was just thawed. Disgusting! Conveniently, when you try to call the restaurant, it's a mobile number that's switched off. Absolute trash!!!!

You know the place is good when there is tons of delivery driver outside the store. Small modern Chinese restaurant that was recommended by my friend. Food was great and will definitely come back again. Saw the chef flame touch the meat to give it the crispy outer skin.

Chinese restaurant offering a good selection of dishes - saw a lot of takeouts while waiting for my order. 💳 they unfortunately don’t take amex, but do take cash though there’s clearly a lack of change since it’s not often used Portion was okay, we were rather full so it didn’t feel like it wasn’t sufficient - but if I’m going for a normal meal it might not be enough. There were also 5-6 prawns that came with the meal, fairly fresh to me. Fuss free and quick service, will consider returning in future for our Chinese meal fix.

i remembered stumbling upon this spot when i was on the lookout for lunch nearby my office. suffice to say, this has become my go-to spot for their succulent roast pork belly and chicken rice, all for a reasonable price with huge portions. i always come here whenever im missing a bit of home (it most definitely resembles in taste!!), and it never fails to bring a smile to me :) highly highly recommend 🤍 *ps my work colleagues know about my obsession with this place

I recently visited Mama Li, a family-owned and run restaurant specializing in roast meats, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. For my first visit, I opted for the roast duck and char siew combo with rice, and it did not disappoint. The presentation of the dish was simple yet appealing, with a generous portion of meat that felt just right for the price. The roast duck, in particular, was the star of the plate. It was incredibly tender, with crispy skin that was perfectly marinated. Every bite was full of flavor, with the duck practically melting in my mouth. The char siew was equally tasty, offering a nice balance of sweet and savory with its caramelized edges. What really elevated the meal was the extra sauce provided, which complemented both the meat and rice, tying everything together beautifully. The combination of flavors was spot on, and I could easily see why they’re known for their roast meats. Mama Li also offers a noodle combo with the roast meats, as well as other chef specialties like braised beef brisket and pork belly, which I haven’t tried yet but am eager to. Based on my first experience, I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu. If you’re a fan of roast meats or just looking for a comforting meal, Mama Li is well worth a visit!

Mama Li’s does reasonable Cantonese/Hong Kong style roast meat and rice dishes. It certainly scratches the roast meats itch but compared to Three Uncles, in my opinion, Mama Li somehow manages to be very reliably and consistently average, at a similar price. The crispy pork especially, compared to Three Uncles, is not as satisfying - sometimes it’s more chewy than crispy. In the photos of past meals from here, the braised pork was the best - tender and tasty. The spare ribs were actually six end bits of rib, cheap cuts that are messy to eat and not really worth the price paid. The pork and rice meal is okay. Well, the food quality wouldn’t matter too much, since the service is pretty good there and it’s nice and clean inside. But another problem I have with this branch of Mama Li’s is that they have a sign inside offering customers a free tote bag for leaving a five star review. These kinds of incentives skew the ratings that a business gets and I would say that they are unethical. It greatly diminishes trust in the online review system and is kind of insulting to potential customers. Another issue is that they only have one bin which means any recyclable packaging they use is wasted effort unless you take it home with you to recycle.

This restaurant specializes in Cantonese roast meats. You can choose from Roast Duck, Crispy Pork, BBQ Pork, and Soy chicken. It’s a great place for lunch/dinner after visiting Sky Garden, literally just a few minutes walk. I got the 3 meats and 2 meats combo which comes with rice, vegetables and sauce. I didn’t like the BBQ pork much. Roast duck was very fresh, juicy and flavorful 10/10. Crispy pork - the skin was crispy and the meat was tender and moist 10/10. I’d come back to Mama Li when visiting London.

Didn't enjoy my lunch there. Ordered a BBQ pork & chicken rice combo. Both the pork and chicken were tough. The service was fast but the staff were not really that friendly (lack of smile and didn't even bother to say thank you).

A very bad dining experience! I ordered two "Any 3 meat + rice" on Thursday night, but only one was delivered. How can two people eat one meal??? And the price of the meal delivered was lower than the price of the food I paid, this is a fraud on customers! The rider said that he only got this one meal when he picked up the meal at the restaurant. The restaurant’s phone was always unreachable and they could not be contacted. No one was responsible for their mistakes? In addition, the food portions were also surprisingly small. The "Any 3 meat + rice" only had a few pieces of meat shown in the picture, and the sauce of the spring rolls was as clear and flowing as water. From the service to the food, the restaurant is very poor. I will not patronize it again! !

The quality of the duck has gone down so much for the takeaway on Uber eats. When it first opened the meat was juicy and nice, now it’s always the bad or black parts with the fat.

food is great. served hot and freshly made always. servings are large enough for big eaters. roasted duck is great. also with some greens on the side. the crispy pork is also great. they also make good boba options so you can try it when you have a chance.

Nothing to say about the food—it was alright. However, the price was far too expensive; it felt more like takeaway street food than a restaurant. The staff were very rude. This might be acceptable in Asia or Hong Kong, but come on, we are in London! I can't believe I had to pay extra for spicy sauce, and there were no napkins or cutlery provided. It's not an Indian restaurant! I definitely won't be coming back and I don't recommend anyone else visit either. There are plenty of better restaurants around. The only good thing deserving a thumbs up is the branding, which is done well enough to make me believe it was a nice place for dinner.

The in store service is not bad and the space is economical. The roast meat are decent but the taste of the cook on the spot food are very inconsistent recently when ordered through delivery service, I have had food that are not seasoned enough or over seasoned, or the flavour is not quite right which is disappointing, considering when I first ordered food from them this was not an issue.

Ordered take outs. Gotta say this is the most authentic Cantonese bbq meat and beef ho fun I’ve tried. They taste literally the same as they would have in Hong Kong cha chaan tang. 10/10

Was craving some roast meats (and added veg) and this sorta hit the spot. The crispy roast pork was solid and I’d order that again, but the char siu was a bit disappointing despite the positive reviews. A little dry, lean and bland; passable but not one of the best. Nonetheless still delivers the job of a solid meal.

Expensive and quality isn't worth the price. They sell super expensive HK milk tea. Fit the price they should have brewed it fresh themselves but instead they just sell a nice bottled one manufactured elsewhere. The original price of the tea from the producer is £3.50 but they sold it for £5.50. if you enjoy the place, good for you 🙂 it's a business after all

Everything is great - clean, ambience, ordering experience and love the clever space-saving design of the layout. Only minor issue was the rice was a little undercooked.

Discovered this place last week. I went for the pork belly and rice. It was succulent and tasty. I also had some crispy spring rolls which were also good quality. It’s a bit on the pricey side but if it’s pay day and you like good food then this is a great place. Not much space inside to eat and the atmosphere to sit in would be a little sterile but don’t let that put you off. I will be going back to try the duck!
