I've been meaning to try this place after reading all the good reviews, and I'd say it lives up to its reputation. I ordered the 2 meat combination (roast duck and soy chicken) on Deliveroo. They were both flavourful, and the meat was moist and tender. The roast duck also had a lot of fat (which I liked since fat = flavour). However, I gave 4 stars since I found the roast duck skin too chewy. I also wish they gave more ginger and spring onion for the soy chicken, it definitely wasn't enough (you have to pay £1.20 for more). Obviously, no place can truly beat roast duck/other meats from Hong Kong, but this place is still decently good for London. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, and I would probably order from here again.

Went to see what the hype was. Not impressed. Singapore noodles were bland, I had to add the soy sauce they gave from the roast meats. Portions of meats not that great compared to other photos and videos on the media. Duck wasn’t that great, roast pork and crispy pork was ok. Overall would not go back. Better off going to the traditional roast specialists in Chinatown and better value for money!

Food was not nice at all, the squid was super salty not edible at all. And they were so stingy with their sauces, you have to pay for soy sauce! No toilet or wash basin to wash hands!! Service was below average. Would never go there again!

The Cantonese roast meats are top quality! Especially the charsiu and duck. Only downside was the service and staff ): I was eating in with my partner and my duck was served very cold, while the rice and other meats as well as my partner’s dish were warm. I let the staff know, who were 2 young ladies. I received no apology and all they did was slap my whole meal in the microwave. It was a bit rude

Nice and small cafe, seats comfortable, few tables but not too close. Good choices of Chinese roast meat (BBQ), tasty good portion. Overall, myself enjoyed the meal, sometimes, when you don't want to visit China town, this will be one of the good choices. Shame with no toilet facility.

The best Hong Kong (Chinese) food I ever had in London ! The BBQ pork, roast duck & crispy pork is exactly same good taste as I had in Hong Kong!!!! Yummy food, very clean place & friendly staff!!! My only choice whenever I am in London :)

Came here by chance while exploring London. It was windy and rainy so we decided to have lunch instead. The food was prepared fresh and tasted delicious, there are limited seatings but very efficient. They made a small mistake on the order but quickly corrected it.

It was a truly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend it to others. The food portions were limited, and they were inadequately arranged on the plate.

I reeeally wanted to love this place but sadly the roast meats were average. The duck was excellent, the char siew not bad, but the soy sauce chicken was pretty dry. Also pretty expensive (HK milk tea was £5?!). Finally, they had no sugar for the milk tea, which was surprising.

Very authentic cantonese food. Highly recommend the 3 meat rice combo and the grilled pork dumplings. The meats are succulent and juicy and come with a sweet soya sauce, rice and some Chinese leaf on the side. The dumplings are hearty and tasted homemade. The dumpling dough has a really nice chewy texture and a good amount of filling and come with a vinegar dipping sauce.

Couldn’t taste the msg and it wasn’t too salty so that’s a big plus. However, I had duck and while skin was perfectly cooked- not too fatty - meat itself was not tender. Chilli oil could have more kick.

Can't fault this place - authentic Cantonese food with roast cuts served cold as they should be! Only complaint is that it was windy and the front door would not stay shut. Plus all recycleable cutlery which I suppose is mandatory these days. Recommended.

The roast meat is great here better than China Town. The flavour is really good and the roast pork is delicious.. Don't order duck as delivery as they play games. I ordered a whole duck and got a whole ducks worth but it was the cut off parts as if they kept the breast and thighs for in shop customers.

Ordered from ubereats. Disappointing food if you're looking for above average Cantonese takeaway. Seasonal vege is not seasonal...

First impressions were very good, modern and clean shop and very welcoming feel. We ordered through the touch screen system and this was quite easy, the only thing I would say is that I don't think you were able to decide seperately about the different rice options. The food arrived very quickly and I still regret that I wasn't that hungry because thinking about it, I could have a portion right now. We had all of the different meats and it was absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked. I might suggest a little bit of an asian style salad to go with it, just for balance. I would definitely go again and I hope that they might want to open a franchise in other locations of the country, maybe Essex where I live ;)

Had the three meat trio of duck, chicken and bbq pork. It was decent but there was way too much rice and not enough sauce. The meat was soft but under seasoned. Extra veg was a bit of bak choi. Not bad but not the best given £15 spend.

I love this restaurant, and I have been meaning to post a review for a while! The food is amazingly delicious and tastes fresh! The service is always great, and the staff are super friendly and accommodating, especially Lin! She always greets customers with a friendly smile and energy, even after a long day :)

It's very rare to find a place that has perfect quick and easy food. You always find food overcooked or portion was small or flavours was just not right. For me the food was brilliant the taste and quality was on point! I'm just sad it's in central london, if it was locally to my area i would be permanent customer. I would just give 5 star just for the food but surprising even the staff were nice and efficient exactly what i needed for a quick bite. My only little criticism would be the venue was small not catered for dining in for big families but that wouldn't stop me from getting a takeaway.

So beautiful interior design and authentic roasted meats (pork & duck), brilliant stir fried noodle with beef, you can get the quality food anytime, just come over!

I went there in search of food that reminded me of Home, and I was not disappointed. I came around 4pm and there were many tables available, you can order via a screen or manually with the staff. The options were great and the food came quickly and it was quite tasty and the price and portions were fair! I would recommend Mama Li!

Hidden Gem! The food looked good so we just had to try it. Easy ordering Quick service Clean restaurant I can definitely see this restaurant expanding or opening other locations. Aside from the 2 they have. With a larger seating area I could envision this being one of the top restaurants In the area.

5/5 for the duck, its fresh, its roasty, its juicy. 2/5 for the roast pork or char siu. Its made with food coloring and sweet sauce, more for making omelettes. 3.5/5 for the pork belly or siu yuk. While tasty, the skin is barely crispy and the fat is gelatinous 5/5 for the soy sauce chicken too. The black bean chicken is also really tasty

We went to have dinner after visiting the Sky Garden. This restaurant is very clean and bright. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter if you are paying by cash or have special requests. We ordered the 2 meat with rice combo - crispy pork and BBQ park, the meat was very soft. We think the crispy pork was very good, the skin was crispy and the meat was soft and juicy. If you don’t get it right, the meat can be hard and rough, they did a good job to get it right 👍🏻 We also ordered the HK milk tea, it was surprisingly good! The fragrance was very good, we enjoyed drinking that. Our next target is the roast duck, hope to visit again soon.

Stumbled upon this gem during my walk and couldn’t resist trying it out. Impressed by authentic flavors, generous portions, and fair prices. It’s gaining attention with frequent visitors. The enticing smells draw you in. Enjoyed the chicken chow mein—smoky wok aroma followed by perfectly balanced flavors and just-right chewy noodles. Crispy spring rolls were spot on—perfectly fried and filled with goodness. A wonderful spot with great service!

Came 31st Dec to get 3x £25.50 mixed meats .., but no where on website does it say closed ! Food is great but communication sadly non-existent !

Service was a little slow but OK the food was lovely but cannot ask for double duck on the 2 meat & rice there is also a supplement for duck. Plenty of food Will be going back to try the Singapore noodles

Good crispy pork with reasonable price.

Great value, good food and great service. Ordered - salt and pepper prawns - well seasoned and crispy. There was a mix up with the order but they fixed it straight away at no cost which was great customer service. Sweet and sour pork - good amount of pork and still somewhat crispy. 1/2 Peking duck pancake set - good ratio of meet to skin. Decent serving of pancake, green onion and cucumber. I wouldn’t recommend the spring rolls as they were mostly pastry and the filling wasn’t too flavourful but they weren’t expensive and the rest of the food was great. For the spring rolls, perhaps offer a smaller serving with a larger roll and filling?

I really love this place. The food is delicious and the service is quick too. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a quick tasty no fuss Cantonese meal.

Great food, good price and served by Mama Li's friendly chatty FOH staff. The only thing was that it would be better to have more sauce with my crispy pork and duck combo, as the dish portion is really generous and so needs bit more sauce. overall very happy with my lunch, will defo come back next time.

The 3 meat and rice box is great value for money, and lets you try a variety of dishes. The sweet chilli pork chef's speciality was perfect, one of the best I have ever had. Service is friendly and fast. Food is high quality, tasty and good portion size for central London prices. Not a huge amount of space to eat in so I prefer ordering takeaway.

I had dinner there with friends on 2023-11-10, ordered two meat (roast duck & BBQ pork) with rice, would have elevated the meal quite a bit if it was hotter, and I feel the duck fat could have been rendered down a bit more to bring out the fragrance and make the skin crispier, but as a quick and affordable meal it was ok. The interior of the restaurant was quite cold, both in terms of the lighting and the draft, it would have been cosier if they used slightly warmer lights and seal the door a little bit better. I imagine it could be a decent takeaway lunch option for city workers nearby but maybe not a destination for a sit-down meal.

Its a takeaway shop literally. My friend said its just like a canteen at school you have to collect your food from the counter. You have to pay extra 1 pound to dine in. Fortunately I wasn't asked to clean up the table after finished the food. The beef noodle is quite salty to me. 10% off if you pay by cash but I am afraid I won't be visiting them again.

Service very rude today. The food come so late I asked the reason why the food I ordered come so late. The people come after me they have their food. Where is my food? The lady come forward to me very rude and angry face why I asked the question not waiting. I will not come back to MaMaLi with the bad services I DO NOT recommend you come here.

Love the Hong Kong style food, really well made. The Singapore noodles is my favourite, the crispy roast pork is decent but sometimes I find it very chewy to a point where I cannot swallow it which is not pleasant. Overall I always enjoy my time here.

The char siu and roast duck was amazing. The crispy pork was fat and no meat, I suppose luck of the draw. The sweet and sour pork and drinks superb. Will be back again but remember to insist on no fatty cuts.

Great first time experience at Mama Li's! I really enjoyed the 3 meat combo (roast duck, crispy pork and soy chicken). Great meat texture, flavoursome and the sauce went well with the rice. I additionally ordered a portion of dumplings and it was nicely pan fried and very juicy. The HK milk tea was nice and strong, and definitely reminded me of home. Staff are friendly and approachable. Seatings are limited (which I totally understand). I'd like to go back and try out other things on their menu in the near future. Note, there is a small charge if you dine in.

The rice is very dry and of poor quality.

Food is good, but I would not recommend for a vegetarian or vegan. There is not many options available, and the ones there are are not very nutritious. I have asked for vegetables on the noodles and I was told there are beansprouts. I have asked if I could pay for extra tofu or vegetable, I was told no. The however pointed me to the garlic bok choi which costs more than the noodles themselves. Will definitely be not coming back and if vegetarian or vegan I do not recommend (unless you're perfectly happy with eating noodles and beansprout as a meal!)

Crispy and yum! It'd be nice to have more rice to enhance the savoury experience of the crispy pork and roast duck. Portion wise it didn't leave me feeling full and satiated. Place was comfortable, there weren't many customers when I came in on a weekend rush hour. Regardless, this is a place I'd come back to.

Have had our eye on eating here for a while. Went today and seating area is limited which was made even more limited by a table with 6 seats being reserved and the other 2 other tables already occupied. With such limited seating area why would you reserve? Disappointed that we didn’t get to eat there.

Crispy pork is so hitt and miss with them, some days it's nice and other days it's just boiled lumps of fat.

Great authentic Cantonese food! HK Milk Tea was very good! Great place to grab a quick lunch - we stayed at the CitizenM hotel nearby and was surprised to find an authentic Chinese food restaurant nearby the area (near Tower of London)! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I can’t believe I have just spent £5 for a cup of Hong Kong Milk tea! But it tastes just perfect and so authentic! I missed it so much it kinda justify the price. They have to import it and reheat it hence the cost is very high. The staff was very friendly and explained me with patience. Will come back to try their food

Siew Yoke was tasty. Roasted duck was bland. Overall pretty good but bumped that they had to charge £1 for chilli oil which I think is staple to have with HK rice combo. The chilli oil is terrible, so please save your money. Service is great. Decor is nice. Overall, I’d just go to Three Uncles a few mins walk away for much better food.

Saw this place whilst walking down to tower bridge. The food was amazing, makes me feel like I'm in Hongkong again. Def recommend it to friends!

Very overrated and overpriced! The portion is small, the food is very average, I hate there is a £1 surcharge just to eat inside, which basically encourages the creation of more disposable waste from all the takeaway boxes. The crispy pork is tasteless, certainly hasn't marinated it, the BBQ pork is slightly better. Overall, I consider £12 for a combo rice without even a drink as daylight robbery, should have gone to the chicken place next door. I think I am not the only one who thinks that, it's clearly reflected by the quietness of this place, in contrast to the buzzing queue at the chicken place next door at peak lunch hour.

Duck and crispy pork was good, price just right for location.

Its a cafe style, no frills place. The food is good, stick to the roast meats! The starters were massive portions, so you can follow the pricing of starters as a guide. But everything we ate was good. I would come back again now that I know it's close to my work.

Hongkong Roast are super good. One meat rice combo is a special set-up meal for £10.49 with vegetables

open till fairly late so convenient for impulsive cravings. a lot of oil in the garlic pak choi, not sure it's really necessary. roast duck is tasty, barbecue pork is nice but not exceptional. £25 for a main, a side veg and a sparkling water = price level of London nowadays?

Straightforward menu with all the favourites. Food is tasty and there’s heaps of it. Pricing isn’t daft…cheaper then most eating places in the area. Definitely recommend. 👍

We came for a quick feed and enjoyed the roast meats (duck and pork) but the special chow mein was dry and very average. Stick to the roast meats and you can't go wrong.

I tried the food here twice, 1st was roasted duck and today was soy chicken with rice. I think the food is lack of flavour, both experiences. Wanted to give it another chance at second time come back but no change. Even though they gave soya sauce but the soya sauce does not have much flavour. I dont think i will come back. Disappointeded as the place is so closed to my work.

Can highly recommend this place for good, casual and quick food that brings me back to Asia. It is a place this area desperately needed but don’t expect a toilet or cozy atmosphere - which is fine.

Wir kamen direkt für 6 Tage in einer Airbnb Wohnung neben Mama Li unter. Als Fan katonesischer Küche waren wir fast täglich hier, um leckere Ente oder Char Siu mit Reis und frisch gebratenes Grüngemüse mitzunehmen. Die Speisen sind sehr authentisch und haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt! Das Interieur war schlicht, modern und für eine Teeküche gut eingerichtet.

A small place close to Sky Garden. There was only a couple tables with a few seats. The majority of the food was really good but they didn’t have soy sauce. I recommend having the pork dumplings and the BBQ pork. The dumpling sauce has too much vinegar and the BBQ pork had duck sauce that was pretty good. They charge you 2.00 extra pounds to dine in. The food came between 10-15 minutes.

Food and service was great! The roast duck and crispy pork was cooked to perfection. The food brought back childhood memories of roast meat diner dinners in Hong Kong with my grandparents. A must go place if you’re craving food from home. 10/10 will go back again!
