Silver lounge is truly the Gem cafe in Larne full stop. Always fresh, always attentive staff and food is absolutely gorgeous. Proper cafe food.

Best fry in Northern Ireland. Great menu choice. All freshly cooked. Staff are incredible. Highly recommend this eating place.

Definitely popular with the locals this cafe will deliver a feed worthy of a heart attack. For a bunch of severely hungover lads, this was the perfect meal to get us back on track. The feed was as greasy and salty as you might expect. The coffee was good. The milkshake could of been better, but it did the job.

I never pass through Larne without going into the Silver Lounge for an "Ulster Fry" yum.

Fantastic cafe , amazing food but feel sorry for staff who are always ran off their feet . Service is slow because of lack of staff. Not fair on existing staff who are under constant pressure to do impossible 😕 . Definitely need another floor staff member.

Got flipped off by some wee rascal outside it but the food was class like. Second time I went back I just couldn't wait to indulge in a big juicy fry

This is the place for a proper full fry. I was over moving my partner home and we came here as usual. The food and service is excellent. A couple of our party had to pop out but the kitchen didn't send out their food to go cold but waited for them to return and served up a hot breakfast. Being an English visitor seeing service and thoughtfulness like this is unusual, in the UK the food would have been chucked on the table and left to go cold. And when 6 of you can have 6 full breakfasts and it cost less than £50 is brilliant value

Very clean cafe, fry was very nicely cooked and presented. Very enjoyable visit to a Larne mainstay.

Go here for a taste of British food in a local environment. Food was greasy and uninspired. The coleslaw was a LOT more mayonnaise than cabbage. Staff were friendly but inattentive. I would recommend travelers to pick a different town for lunch. This one clearly doesn't cater to tourists.

Good aul Ulster Fry and OJ for £5.95. Better than a slap in the face with a wet fish.

Just had breakfast there & it was cooked just the way I liked it. The service was good, but it took a little longer than I'm used to! But it was served with a smile which I think makes all the difference, price was good too! Will be back soon! Thanks, Silver Lounge 👍

Very friendly staff and great food and prices

The best fry in Larne for myself an grandkids. We go weekly. If only all the staff wer as nice / friendly as Geraldine it would make for a much nicer atmosphere. Geraldine goes out of her way to accommodate u an will have a we yarn ( if she has the time ) . If you haven't alrdy tried it I wud Def consider it . You will no who Geraldine is as soon as soon as u walk in the door she's the bubbly happy girl xx

Been coming here for 40yrs and it never changes. Good food, service and prices. So popular sometimes you can't get a table. It's long Reputation for quality says it all❤️👍

Great food very generous pirtuons and lovely staff

We have been to this cafe loads of times and it’s always very consistent it’s menu never changes but it still has a good choice. We tried a large Ulster fry consisting of a ten piece fry with tea, coffee or orange juice for £7.20 and there small fry also including drinks for £5.30 very helpful and friendly staff. Very handy for a breakfast or lunch as it doesn’t open late.

If you’re coming off the boat and you’re looking for somewhere to stop for a bit of honest grub, look no further. This place is located right in the middle of the town, and hosts a warm and welcoming team of servers that provide good customer service and a friendly atmosphere, the food here is average priced however is really tasty and good. Have been going here when I’m down in the town for 3 years now and as long as it’s open, I’ll be in it.

Friendly cafe with best value Grubb. Never had a bad meal here..... the chicken salad is to die for as to everything else on the menu. Definitely get well fed here.

Have been to the silver lounge a few times and have gotten take away food, on this occasion I was sitting in with friends and found my experience to be poor. The place was not overly busy, the waitresses were unsure of what jobs to be doing and all 4 girls asked one table if they had ordered food - very poor communication. One member of staff in particular was very rude (small loud), the phone was constantly ringing and eventually got lifted off the hook. I watched people come in to collect take aways and they were ignored and left standing for some time. My food was not overly fantastic, took a long time to arrive, small portion and the chips seemed like the left overs from the fryers.

Popped into the Silver Lounge in Larne today for a wee cuppa. I haven't been in for a while so had to treat myself to one of their fab frys!! So much to choose from on the menu, great service, cleanliness perfect and really enjoyed the fry and tea. For £4.95 all inclusive definitely a bargain.

This was my first time visiting this place in Larne, I just happened to have to drive to Larne for medical reasons. Went here as the young couple who accompanied me suggested to give it a try. I am sorry to say that I honestly can't say that I was highly impressed. 😢

Two mates and I visited the Silver Lounge prior to departing having stayed overnight in Larne. First, the service - fantastic. Very friendly and very swift which was a surprise as it was very busy. However our orders were taken quickly and there was minimal wait for our food. And what a breakfast it was - the Ulster Fry. Sausage, bacon, eggs, soda bread, potato bread with additional white pudding and black pudding washed down with a decent cup of tea all for about £6.90. The food was full of flavour , so e of the tastiest sausages I have ever had and I was left very full afterwards. If I lived locally I would be a regular and weigh about 25 stone. Highly recommended.

Can get very crowded and cramped

First visit, inspired by good reviews and the great smell that pervades that end of Main Street each morning! I had the large fry, my wife the small fry with both having the soda bread replaced by toast. Service was good, the meal was tasty, though the tea wasn’t up to The Prom standard and the fry not quite as warm. Still, in the Main Street this was a good breakfast. No cards are taken, so you need cash.

Love the Silver Lounge. Their frys are the best I have ever had. The staff are friendly and efficient and the cafe is spotless. Never made to feel 'it's time you left' which also means a lot!

The Silver Lounge has been been an on going business in Larne for decades.It's simple, call in and find out just how good the food is....you won't be disappointed.We've tried them all, but just keep coming back. Highly recommended for a meal at any time of day.

Great food and not to expensive

The silver lounge is one of those rare breeds of restaurant. Unashamedly old fashioned with limited but traditional NI fare, the restaurant gets the basic right. Food is well cooked and service is prompt and pleasant.

Fantastic Christmas dinner from local cafe the " Silver Lounge" with gammon, turkey, cocktail sausages, mashed potatoe, mushy peas, carrots, sprouts, roasties and plenty of gravy. And the price would put most places in the Belfast City region to shame. Real value for money and great friendly service from all the staff.

Now I just want to say it’s only 4 stars for one big reason and another not so bad but it may be extremely annoying for other people. GREAT FOOD as Colin Cash (another local guide)says that it is “where the locals eat” and that’s very true. But as I said at the start there’s two things one is the seating is quite sore on your back and the service is pretty slow, well I’ve not been there in a while and they might of changed it. Staff is ok but sometimes I think there being told to be nice (and don’t like working there) but that’s my point of view.

Just love the honest and tasty food.

Came here with a few friends this morning and was absolutely disgusted to find the inside of my bap blue moulded. Literally the same colour as Papa smurf. I come here often but I think after this escapade I'll be taking my custom elsewhere. Like McDonald's

The Silver Lounge is cosy, the food is lovely, the Staff are lovely, especially Geraldine. My only issue is with the front door, maybe a visit from The Swan Brothers to replace the nightmare of a door that is there now. Come on get it sorted.
