Ordered meals for 4 the family over the weekend, not dissapointed really nice meals. I had the special Chop Suey which was great as always.

Honestly best customer service we've had in years, nothing too much hassle and the food was great. Highly recommend

Called to place take away order . We were asked if we knew where to pick up we confirmed Penrhyndeudraeth , he told us to collect in Happy Chop Sui house Porthmadog . Went down place closed . Whoever the idiot was on the phone needs the sack , sending people to places that don’t exist ! Disgraceful !

Pretty standard ‘what you’d expect’ from a high street Chinese. We opted for basic dishes to accommodate a 4 and 6 year old. Chicken curry, egg fried rice, noodles, chips. And the biggest spring roll you’ve ever seen in your life!! Only £20. Called through the order and collected within 20 mins. Can’t go wrong really.

Wai Man, Silver Lake is our go-to Chinese takeaway over the past 15 years +. The chicken curry ,boiled rice and chips is always on point. Food is hot, fresh, reasonably priced with great fast service. I would recommend a visit , nothing it too much trouble for Wai Man.

Disappointing food. No vegetarian options on the menu. I asked for vegetarian satay, but I'm pretty sure it was made with fish sauce. Definitely not vegetarian friendly! I feel I was deliberately overcharged too, trying to take advantage. Overall, a very unpleasant experience and this is one unhappy customer.

Tried the fish and chips because the proper chippy across the road didn't open till 1pm. Whilst killing some time before we could get on our campsite nearby. No different from what I could of made at home. Frozen fish and chips probably from somewhere like farmfoods deep fried. Don't know what the Chinese food is like but probably won't bother goin back to find out.

The first time I have actually had to spit food out. I have eaten more authentic out of a jar, and I think this is exactly what this take out used, the peppers were definitely frozen, glutenus curry with a thick skin, old dried out chips and a bag of prawn crackers that tasted of chemicals, honestly visit at your own health.

This food was vile, most of it went in the bin!! Best part was the boiled rice! The chicken in pineapple was bland, no flavour, the sweet and sour chicken was TERRIBLE. THE chicken was either non existing or it was the thinnest bit of chicken and ALOT OF BATTER (see pictures). PLEASE AVOID

Driving back to the accommodation, stopped off in Penrhyndeudraeth at the Silver Lake Chinese Takeaway. Nice Chinese Takeaway - very large filling portions - though not overly authentic (not that you can really expect authentic Chinese food in North Wales). Friendly staff and only a 20 minute wait for the food, giving us time to walk around the town and stretch out legs. Due to covid, orders are taken at the doorway, but thats a good thing during a pandemic.

This is not a place I would recommend most of the food went in the bin wish I read all the reviews before we ordered. Having had tried a number different Chinese takeaways I’ve the years this one is the worst.

“I was initially very skeptical, the shop is all but attractive. However, the price for quality and especially quantity is impressive. I personally always order basic dishes when I don't know a place and I admit the spring rolls are nice and the chicken will rice is sincerely good. Considering the prices and the quantity, this take away deserve a great review.”

We moved to the area in 1997 and have a Chinese takeaway every 2-3 months. We really love the crispy fried beef, kung po chicken, chicken with cashew nuts and Singapore fried rice along with the mini spring rolls. We also have prawn crackers occasionally.

Do not bother the food is dross £19.60 thrown in the bin .It was all tasteless ,the prawn crackers tasted off so much so 1 ntbble each and they were in the bin along with the spare ribs and house special chow- mein.. You are far better of spending your money on Hines ping and ding ready meals far better value far better taste . Get mum or Dad to go to Iceland

Been coming here nearly every week and always have the same meal, my absolute favourite - Spicy Prawn Noodles. Love it. Big, juicy prawns, hot flavour with yr asty juice and bits and fresh and piping hot. Consistently hits the spot. And very friendly, attentive service. The brothers are great characters.

My local chinis. Yes, I do call a chinise mai local, because it is.Wai Man the man behind the countar is ddy best, if I'm too lazy tw get yp ffrom mai seat in the Royal, he will bring chinise over ffor me and my mum.My favorite is the cwispy duck

Ordered takeaway as part of our holiday. The staff were friendly. The food was lovely. Best ribs I've had. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a good Chinese takeaway

Sorry to say but the worst Chinese we have had in years don’t know if we have been spoilt but chicken balls were loads of stooge vegetables with chicken and oysters sauce was just cabbage struggled to find egg in egg fried rice overall tasted very bland.

The food here is superb , and the service is first class . The young gentleman behind the counter is an example of how to treat customers , and the whole place is spotlessly clean . I will continue to frequent this takeaway , it"s by far the best in the area.

Had a large variety of dishes from curry to sweet and sour to noodles and some in between plus a load of starters and sides and everybody was more than happy with the feast we had, phoned in the order and was all ready to collect when we arrived. Not our closest Chinese but we will pass the others and go the extra distance to come here.

Use this takeaway regularly, always polite and efficient. Food is good and tasty. Can recommend. Have used for at least 10 year's.

I went there this evening after work. I chose here as it has a 5 for food hygiene which is always a plus so was expecting good things. All 4 of us chose something different so there was a good variety of food. The prawn crackers were greasy as was the rest of the meal. It was also very stodgy and after a few mouth fulls all the food tasted the same. We couldn’t finish our meals as all of us found it to be too greasy. Won’t be going back.

On holiday we used this Chinese take away twice! The service is brilliant, waiting time is about 15/20 minutes depending on how busy they are, but it is well worth the wait. The food is all cooked fresh to order, including changing the cooking method to suit even my fussy daughter, thoroughly recommend this take away.

Four different meals, all excellent. Large portions and ready when they said, no waiting. Will use again.

I was struck by the cleanliness of the premises and the politeness of the staff. The Chop Suey meal was good.

The food here is fantastic! Well worth a visit, I had the set meal for 2 and ate all of it! DeliciousI also saw Wai Man the owner who I was in school it was funny because when we used to ask him what his name was he used to say ‘Wai Man’ so we said ‘Because I asked’ haha, I suppose you had to be there at the time for it to be funny

I have to say what a great Chinese takeaway because the food is absolutely amazing.

We didn't try an extensive selection but what we did have was simply the most tasty Chinese takeaway my wife or I had enjoyed in a very long time. Not too salty and blooming good value.

La comida aquí es el mejor que he tenido de varios para llevar chino que he probado. Toda la comida que he tenido aquí ha sido siempre excelente. No es la comida más barata que he tenido por un largo camino, pero es muy, muy sabroso. El especial arroz frito es una comida en sí! !

Wide range of choice on the menu. Prices are very reasonable. The food is well cooked. telephone orders taken.

Para llevar nuestro habitual estaba cerrada la semana que estuvimos en la zona, así que decidimos probar este lugar y están contentos de hacerlo. Comida sabrosa, personal amable y un servicio rápido. Como tengo alergia a alimentos se tomaron tiempo para comprender lo que no podía comer y adaptado platos en consecuencia. Sin duda, usar este para llevar de nuevo.

Wai hombre es una estrella. Él es educado y paciente con los clientes que no siempre son sobrias. Mejor a la orden por teléfono, en galés o inglés, Wai hombre es trilingüe (Cantones es la lengua de la cocina). cocinar es muy coherente, lo básico como pollo frito arroz o langostinos con brotes de bambú y agua Chesnuts y no te equivocas. No esperes encontrar restaurantes y no te decepcionará. No aceptamos tarjetas, sólo en efectivo. Su restaurante de comida para llevar, siempre te teléfono, ya sea ocupado o no, siempre será "10 minutos". Iawn Da, Wai Man, soy diolch Bob tenue.

If you fancy a break from the kitchen, this is the place to go. Great Chinese food and reasonably priced too. Try their chips - they're fab!!

I ordered Duck in black bean sauce as often if I ttry a new Chinese it can be a let down, but the black bean sauce is usually a fail safe. The duck was lovely, and nicely presented sliced on top but I really didnt enjoy the sauce. It had no kick to it, I couldnt taste the black beans and it left an unpleasant after taste. My daughter ordered a chicken curry and left half (which is unheard of for her)I would possibly try here again and order a different duck dish as the duck reallly was beautifully cooked, buut I think it woould bbe if I had no other optioons available. Sorry.

The 1st time in our lives that we have both not eaten a Chinese 4 items & chips, all we ate was the chips. The service was quick the staff member was friendly the decor was as is a Chinese takeaway, but we have never ever had such a terrible tasteless Chinese meal, we are on holiday and have driven for 20 mins for this meal if I was closer I would take it back and put it back on the counter !!! Such a let down for the best take away food in the world

Been here for years, grew up in the area and would say its the best chinese ever! I live away now and still say its the best chinese I've had ever! Havent had anything that beats it yet! Love the special curry and fried rice! Its the best! Good service also!

We were really looking forward to a Chinese take away on our journey back to our caravan- wished we'd not bothered. Everything we had was tasteless. The BBQ sayce was just a carton of orange gloop, the chow mein and fried rice had no flavour at all. The chicken with bamboo shoots and water chestnuts was a little better but again no authentic Chinese flavours- it was like eating chicken with a watery gravy. In conclusion- wish we had driven the extra miles to Harlech instead.

Excellent chinese, owner very friendly and the duck curry is a must :-) The children loved the food from here although we did have a wait everytime we went there.

Nice food , well cooked and hot. quick service with telephone orders which the best way to do it otherwise you could be in for a wait especially at the weekends.
