Great food, service and nothing ever too much trouble. I have a great deal of experience in the restaurant world through my job and Sigdi is right up there with the best I have ever eaten at and go back now whenever we have Indian food. Last night was actually full with an Indian engagement but we were still accommodated with a table in the bar area so we could still eat, awesome.

Have eaten here before. Food is good, however on both our first two trips the service was not great. Empty plates sat forever to be removed. Waiting a long time to order both food drinks. Have booked with friends to go again and the booking had been cancelled on us. We called to find out why and our booking we had reserved for a week had been cancelled for a ‘party’ amazing. Won’t be back.

We had a takeaway from this restaurant, pre ordered online - an easy option & an extensive menu with reasonable prices. My husband went to collect our order & mentioned it was my birthday - when they brought our order out they gave him a box with Happy Birthday & a smiley face on & it was a piece of delicious chocolate fudge cake - such a lovely gesture! Our takeaway meal was also delicious & portions were generous- I particularly liked that there was a lot of chicken & a lot of prawns in each of the dishes, I've had other takaways where it was mainly sauce! Great onion bhaji, only needed one portion as they were big. Food was obviously freshly prepared & nice & hot. Flavours were great - we opted for medium curries but I'm already planning a visit to the restaurant to try out some of their other dishes. Highly recommend this place.

Takes a long time to get food and food is soggy do not recommend at all for your safety as a civilian in the uk. Half way through are time there a indian man came up to me and recommend come a fake scamming website and the service was horrible i got shouted out multiple of time

Ordered a curry and they sent us a naan bread. Rang like 20+ times and no answer. Avoid this place at all costs. Ridiculously bad service.

Fabulous place. I have never been a fan of Indian food but I am now. The flavours of the food were wonderful. Lovely attentive staff. Great red wine and very reasonably priced. We will be going back soon. We went on Tuesday we were told its better to book at the weekend. Cathy

We visited this restaurant last night.It has just got to be one of the finest Indian restaurants in Manchester.This is one of the most delicious Indian meals we have ever eaten. The service was warm, friendly and efficient.The food was simply stunning and delicious.The price a very reasonable.Definitely will go again for delicious momos.

The Staff and service was excellent. Will consider going back especially catering for people with Gluten and Lactose intolerance. Accommodated alternative as Gluten was an issue for me. The Staff came with a Surprise for our wedding anniversary meal.

We celebrated the New Year’s Eve there, the food was amazing as usual, great service and atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again and again.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Service and Unacceptable Practices I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant on New Year’s Eve. Despite the busy occasion, the service was far below acceptable standards. Items we had pre-ordered days in advance were delayed, and we had to repeatedly ask for them to be brought to our table. What was even more concerning was the behavior of the restaurant manager. He was openly recording customers on his personal mobile phone without seeking consent. This is not only highly inappropriate but also a breach of privacy and possibly illegal. Additionally, we agreed to a pricey two-set menu, only to be forced to pay an additional service charge, despite voicing our dissatisfaction with the service. When we raised our concerns, the manager insisted the charge was mentioned in the menu, leaving us no choice but to pay it. Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially given their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction and privacy.

Got us in last minute on New Year's Eve which was very kind. Enjoyed every bit of our meal and the staff we're so nice.

We came here for New Year’s Eve and had the set menu which left us extremely full but also very satisfied with the quality of food. We enjoyed mixed tandoori and vegetarian starters which were cooked to perfection and then we had main courses such as Chicken Jalfrezi, Bhuna, Masala etc which were all beautifully fragrant and expertly spiced, not too hot and not too mild. The service was on point too, with plenty of staff to look after us and we enjoyed the live entertainment. All in all, we had a great time with lovely food and a fantastic atmosphere! We’ll definitely be regulars from now on!

Amazing restaurant that has become my absolute favourite. The food is incredible, the staff are really considerate and the manager came over to speak to us after our meal. After they heard it was my birthday they gave us a free dessert which was very lovely of them

The food and service were first class I will definitely be coming here again , I recommend you give them a try you won't be disappointed....Came to the Sigdi restaurant again on Christmas day with the family for Christmas Dinner, there was a choice of an Indian meal or traditional Christmas Dinner the food and service were outstanding the whole family enjoyed the meal, I can honestly say you would have to go a long way to find another restaurant offering such outstanding food and service.

Lovely setting and venue. Staff were exceptional every single one of them was polite and helpful. The food was delicious and portions were perfect. All our party was happy from 10yr old to 70yr old and we will definitely be visiting again soon

Saved Christmas Day for us! My family and I had booked at another restaurant for Christmas Day dinner, after receiving awful service with nobody acknowledging us for over an hour we decided to leave before any food arrived. I called SIGDI at 7pm and luckily the team managed to accommodate 9 of us and a baby at such short notice. Brilliant service, great atmosphere and the food was beautiful. We are so grateful! Thank you for saving the day we will definitely be returning 😊🙏

Booked this restaurant for 15-20 people for 3pm. I arrived there at 2:57pm and it still wasn’t set. A comment was made saying Indians are always late so we didn’t expect yous. My husband and I had to set up our own wedding cake. On the booking I asked if it was none halal due to my guest? The waitress said yes& we have Gurnesh ji pictures up in the restaurant. On the day of arrival the manager was so rude and said I never requested none halal. I said I did. I said is it or is it not? Buy his face it felt like he was lying. I also had guest with a glute free requirement and asked for gluten free nan, at some point he handed out normal naan saying it’s gluten free. Then came with other naan saying these are gluten free😳 When I questioned him why has he done this he clearly lied. I have a video as my evidence. At the end I was also charged service charge of an extra £50. I refused to pay this as his staff smell of B.O After the wedding he also refused to give my £150 holding deposit back saying that my family member hasn’t booked in another party that we discussed and he wants to cut money from my deposit. In the end I got my deposit back. I wouldn’t go there again as Rahul the manager is very rude and ignorant.

We attended on Xmas day, so was busy as expected. The staff were lovely and helpful. Food was gorgeous and I would return. The only thing I would change was the time between courses were to long, we waited an hour or more for our mains, which was too long to wait. But other than that was a great time and food and staff was fabulous

We went for Christmas dinner yesterday at the 6:00pm sitting. You could tell from arriving they had booked too many people. We finally received popadoms 40 minutes after sitting down. We then waiting more than 40 minutes for our starters, when we did receive them there was a confusion with a Gluten Free dietary requirement, which put us off eating. They had also advertised Pinot Blush on the drinks menu however when it arrived it was not the same wine stated on the menu, we complained they took the drinks away and we were still charged on the bill. We had taken off the £30 service charge because we were there for well over 2 hours and we didn’t even get our dessert in the end and it was getting too late. We do come here often for takeaways and weekend meals but whenever we have came for Christmas dinner it has been a terrible service it feels like they would rather pile everybody with drinks rather than get the food out.

Poor service, warmed up microwave food that was inedible and clueless staff. Definitely won’t be going back.

Tried this place for the 1st time tonight as a couple on a date night. Food is faultless, amazing lamb rogan josh. The best peshwari nan bread iv ever had. The only problem we had was the family on the next table had a small child with them playing with a mobile phone with nursery rhymes on full blast for the full duration of the meal. It was anything but a relaxing date night. We made staff aware of the issue but nothing was done about it. They did apologise as we left the restaurant but I'd of liked for the staff to at least ask them to turn it down slightly.

I Found The Portions Small For The Price. The Masala Sauce Tasted Like A Tomato Sauce. Korma Was Bland. Nice Chunks Of Chicken. Onion Bajis Were Spot On It Was Cold On Arrival Unfortunately

We can’t fault a single thing in this restaurant. They are always welcoming with beautiful smiles. All the staff members are amazing, listens to your request and serves the best. I am a big foodie. If you really a fan of Indian food, I can guarantee they are the only one serving the authentic Indian dishes in the area. Their cook Mr Santosh has a skill to improvise any dish as per your taste buds keeping the authenticity of the recipes. Prerit as a Captain on the floor, Subin in the bar(with his 🍹 cocktails) are few of the gems they have. Top of all many thanks to Rahul and Sonu to bringing the real taste of India close to us. Highly recommended!!!! Well done guys. Keep it up 👍

The actual restaurant looks beautiful, the decoration and the colours chosen for this venue are really nice. Food is delicious and the staff are always very helpful. The presentation of the food is always top-notch. I have been here a few times and it was always nice, but this last time there were Diwali celebrations so the place looked very festive and they had live Indian music, which was really lovely and entertaining. Most of the people in the restaurant were dancing and enjoying themselves. I would recommend to book in advance to avoid disappointment as the place is quite packed all the time.

We’ve just been for a family meal and it was absolutely delicious. In fact, we’ve all said it’s the best food we’ve had in a long time. Nothing was greasy and everything was full of flavour. Even the fussy kids ate their butter chicken. Catering for 13 of us all who has different tastes and requests seemed like a piece of cake to the staff. They were accommodating and polite throughout the whole service. If I could rate it 6 stars I would. Thank you for a fantastic evening, we’ll all definitely be back.

It was a double delight as there was a Magic Show on the Diwali eve. Superb food (loved the tasting menu!), charming hosts and a friendly atmosphere. The food was authentic Indian in taste. One could sense aroma of each and every herb and spice. This will be a regular venue!

Went for my daughters 21st birthday celebration. The food was wow! Everyone got hot food at the same time ! (16 people). The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing , thank you Sigdi , you nailed it !!!

We frequently eat take away meals from this delightful Indian at Astley Point. We sometimes dine in too, and whilst the experiences are different, they are both 5 star. The menu is extensive and whilst most Indian Restaurant menus are similar, the flavour and cooking styles often differ, and the chefs excel in real depth of flavour, we have never had a duff meal, nor lower quality tasting meats. Eating in is a real treat, and some meals on the menu are much better fresh, we particularly like the Samosa Tikka Chat and the Chicken Lollipop, best eaten in. Service and quality in equal measure, the staff treat you like kings. A lovely chilled atmosphere too.

The service was good and both women were on the ball. When asking for drinks though we asked for soda water which was brought in a pint glass, I don’t know who drinks pints of soda water! especially at a cost of £2.95! My mango lasso was ok. Not as thick as other places but it was ok. I ordered the Lamb Korma, it wasn’t like normal korma i.e. coconut taste this tasted more of cloves. Not to my liking at all. There wasn’t much lamb meat in the dish too. Lamb Balti was lacking in taste too, not like the balti taste you are used to. Maybe the chef is from a different part of India where things are done differently???!!??? Garlic nan is more like a garlic pita. Thin and crispy, rather than fat and fluffy. Rice portions are small. Overall, this isn’t in my best 100 Indians. Not sure I would go out of my way and eat here again, but I’m still glad I tried.
