Despite lock down, Sid's Cafe is open for take-aways. I stopped by for a cup of his really good coffee to go. I purchased a mixture of treats - rocky road bars, granola bars and brownies. My son works in the A&E at St.Peters Hospital and took Sid's baking in to share with his colleagues. The busy staff in the A&E were delighted! I highly recommend visiting Sid's Cafe - buy a treat for someone!!!

It is more like a hidden gem in the stretch of Goldsworth road. The cafe is VERY clean, and they offer high quality products even though the options are limited but given the situation with Covid and its negative impact on hospitality sector, it is totally understandable. Highly recommend the place for a quick bite and decent coffee ALSO dogs are welcome during takeaway visit :)

Often pop in here to grab lunch especially over the last few months working from home. The owner is great and very friendly as we’ve been popping in so often. The coffee is the best around. The paninis are really good too - try the tuna melt! Would definitely recommend.

Popped in here while my car was being worked on next door. To watch the owner make my coffee with the care and attention he did was brilliant. Great coffee, nice atmosphere and friendly service....a hidden gem

A friendly café with a bright welcoming atmosphere, chatty owner (Sid), good background music, and above all, really really good coffee! The food looks nice too. Woking is so lucky to have Sid's Café.

Very cozy cafe attached to Roberta Scardua hairdressers. Serves sandwiches, sweet pastries, and Brazilian snacks like coxinha, cheese bread balls and fruit shakes. Good coffee. Sid is always friendly.

Sid's is my regular morning coffee stop. The combination of Sid's friendly personality with a smooth and rich latte make for a great start to the day.

Well made macciato at a decent price. Perfect for prepping me on my way into town. Almost worth a visit to see the espresso machine operated let alone drink the wares.

Having decided to try this cafe' a while back during a very rare spontaneous moment from myself, I can safely say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The quality, blend and richness of the coffee is outstanding and the best I have had, and continue to have. It by far beats the 'chain' outlets and the independent cafes - (that I have been to anyway) and is actually better priced!! I have pretty much tried all available food options and love them all, my favourite being the spicy/hot chicken and cheese panini which evidently appears to be popular as its not always available which leads me onto my next point. A lot of the produce is freshly sourced and home cooked on the day, which means there may at times be limited stock, but in my view it ensures and keeps the freshness and quality of the produce. Sweeter food items consist of your standard muffins, flapjacks and what I have to say is a lovely carrot cake!! with a nice blend of some Portuguese custard tarts. Savory items consist of: panini's, sandwiches, croissants, homemade soup etc. with really nice Brazilian snacks. The service is friendly and polite and during busy times is to be expected with waiting times etc. as it is only run by Sid. - There is an option if you work in an office near by, or have a large family and mouths to feed, to text your order to Sid and subject to stock, he will get it ready for you to come and collect it (and pay of course). The cafe is not large in size as it is adjoined to the beauticians which Sid's wife runs (and does very good and professional haircuts, at good rates, if you want to have a coffee and haircut at the same time!). I would recommend anyone to go here if you are just passing by in Woking or flying from Australia as I believe you wont regret it.

I have been lucky enough to visit Sid's café several times and I will be back in the future. It is an absolute gem in Woking. My kids love popping in for a cold drink -of which there are the usual brands but also the more exciting Brazilian drinks- which are a great treat! Sid has a great menu, I love his Paninis and he serves the most delicious cheese balls ever. The selection of pastries is always fresh and difficult to resist. I have tried the other coffee shops in town and can say that, without a doubt, the coffee at Sid's is the best around. The café is well lit, is nicely decorated, comfortable and absolutely spotless. I have never ever seen a dirty dish or un-cleared table. Sid works hard to deliver great food at a reasonable price and has a great personality. He offers wonderful customer service and always has time for a quick chat and to make you feel welcome and valued. I look forward to visiting again.

We decided to have lunch out, and came across this cafe. When we sat down we noticed that the table and chairs had not recently been cleaned, nonetheless we persisted and ordered coffees/cold drinks. The coffees were very good. We then went to order paninis for the four of us, and found to our dismay that the only options left were 2 chicken cheese paninis. We were told by the owner that the paninis were 'hot chicken cheese paninis'. What the owner failed to explain is that this meant they were Hot Chilli Chicken and Cheese paninis. And I mean HOT. He also failed to tell us that he had deep fried the chicken and we did not expect this. Not ideal either for the waistline or the two children with us! The panini bread was good, however the chicken breadcrumb was soggy and the cheese virtually non-existent, which all in all led to a very disappointing experience. We left 1/2 of one of the two paninis (one child ate nothing, the other had to remove the chicken entirely). When we went to pay and politely pointed out that it would have been helpful to mention that it was chilli chicken, the owner made no attempt to apologise. Overall I think this is one to avoid. We certainly will.

Working nearby, I have passed this place almost on a daily basis and never been in, until today. A colleague recommended the coffee to me the other day and been the weather was a little wet and windy, I decided to try it out rather than one of the 'multiples' in town whom I tend to frequent. I was very impressed. Reasonably priced and although a small sitting area, it was very pleasant. (they have more tables outside on dry weather days!) Ambient music, very good coffee and good service. Although I didn't eat, there seemed a nice little selection of pastries and sandwiches/toasties. Nice to actually go somewhere with a decent quality coffee and independent feel. I will definitely be back again now.
