Delicious authentic sichuan food, friendly staff. Huge menu, including many cantonese dishes most brits will be more familiar with. Try the Dan dan noodles, for delicious aromatic numbing spice.

I worked in China a lot so rarely eat Chinese food in U.K.. as it just doesn’t compare. This stuff was the real deal, incredibly tasty and not at all like the usual generic faux-Chinese food. Staff were really friendly too.

Hot pot was great here once upon a time. I visited before & decided to re-visit for with my aunty for her birthday celebrations. All was well until she stringed out HAIR from her bowl that came from the hot pot soup broth. A long BLONDE strand of hair. We called the manager / owner over to raise this off-putting situation. He held the hair up and began to look at each of us to see if it matched… considering we are all brunette this was embarrassing. He took it away with him. When it came to the bill, no apologies or compensation for this unhygienic matter was given. We were simply told ‘it’s not any of our staffs hair so it’s not our problem, there’s not much I can do. Sorry, these things happen”. Learn some customer service skills around here, you could of easily saved yourself from this situation if you knew how to communicate with your customers. Disgusting attitude and responses from the staff. We will not be returning.

We go to this restaurant often. We like the food as it is excellent. Usually, they have a good service, but, unfortunately, today it was terrible. A non-chinese young waitress was serving with gum in her mouth. She was nervously chewing it at all times. This is not pleasant to see. Then, when I was waiting for my husband by the door she came and ask me if I want it a see. She knew who I was because she served us. I told her no, and she said " I just came because you look quite confused". I believe this young lady is quite rude and she should not be serving clients without more training. Hope the manager addresses this issue as this is a good restaurant and its quality can not decrease.

We ate here last night and I have to say that it was probably the best chinese meal that I have ever had. It was good to try a number of different dishes and all were extremely tasty. Don't be put off if it looks empty - there are so many places to eat in this area. Service was excellent and it was great value for money - we were even given a free dessert on the house!

Had been intending to visit this restaurant for a number of years but it turned out to be a pretty average Sichuan restaurant, been to a few in my time in both China and the UK. Poorly presented boiled fish in Chilli Sauce. Chicken in Chilli Sauce looked and tasted significantly different from the menu. On the way home to enjoy my MSG hangover. Definitely better options in Stratford and Central London.

Booked a birthday party for 20 and we all loved the atmosphere of the neon lights! Staff were friendly and although at first hesitant were fine with us sticking decorations for the surprise as long as we used blutak. Food was delicious and were very accommodating to our dietary requirements, even the veggies among us ended up being full (maybe overly full...) Great alcohol selection too and the cocktails were surprisingly good. Service was quick too - we were a little bit worried about ordering food and then having cake but the staff were quick to clean the tables. I particularly liked the spicy dishes and their crispy seafood noodles. Might ask my friends to book me the same room for my birthday!

The spicy prawn dish was ridiculously oily and we tried one prawn between three of us. We collectively agreed we didn’t like to at all and asked the waiter politely to return it. He didn’t say anything at all at this point. Furthermore, the crispy duck and pancakes was cold , we had made one wrap and it wasn’t pleasant. We did end joy the rest of our meal and was happy to pay for it, and takeawy the leftovers. They gave us the worst attitude when we asked them to remove the prawns from our Bill and shouting from across the restaurant saying no they won’t remove it and it’s not there business if we didn’t like it. After rowing with them and being spoken to in such a vile manner by 3 members of staff we just payed the bill and left. Do better. This was such bad customer service and simply embarrassing.

Upon arriving the restaurant was relatively empty, the decor was dated and a little dirty in places. The waiter was polite but nothing more. The drinks were watered down and the food was actually nice. However things took a turn when we asked to remove service as a party of 2 we both felt the service lacked and we waited around 30 mins to pay when the restaurant was empty and the staff were all having lunch on one of the tables. The waiter then got very angry that we asked to remove this and said ‘it isn’t optional we tell everyone to pay’. We corrected him and said it was optional. He went on to say ‘well then you shouldn’t have come here, that’s our wages and we served you, stay at home next time’. He then snatched my card and tapped it on the card reader and stormed off. AWFUL SERVICE. I thought maybe it was a one off but after reading various reviews it seems many other people have experienced disgusting service from this restaurant.

My wife, two daughters and I visited here before heading to the O2 for a show, so were quite early and it was quite quiet, but was very convenient to both the Holiday Inn and the O2 👍. We ordered a set meal, the hot Melamine plates!! for the hors d-oeuvres arrived about 5 minutes before the food, as were the plates for the Crispy duck pancakes and the main course. “Why bother heating the plates?” Hot food should be served onto hot plates!!? I would rate this place as pretty average at higher than average prices.

We had made a reservation at the restaurant as there was a large group of us, 20 plus. When we had first arrived, we were the only people at the restaurant and once my table had placed the order, our food arrived within 10 minutes. The only way food could come out so quickly is if it was stored in a container in a fridge/freezer and quickly heated in a pan before being served. Not fresh at all.The food was horrible and the chicken tasted like rubber, with no flavour and clearly has been stored for ages. Moreover, my singapore vermicelli dish was not singapore at all but plain noodles. The starters we had ordered were horrendous, the spring rolls for example were not even fried and were quite pale in colour. A lot of us left quite a lot of food untouched and once the restaurant began to fill up, the same could be seen for other guests - clearly indicating the food was not good. Moreover, when we asked for them to bring the cake over, we had left behind the counter with them, they simply put it on a table near the counter and we were made to do everything ourselves, without even providing us with a lighter for the candles. When it was time for us to pay, it was a nightmare. There was only one card machine and the man continued to ignore us despite us waiting to pay for about 15 minutes. The only thing which makes this place seem busy is the location and the fact that they are able to cater for large groups. Other than that the food is horrendous and the service is appalling.

Amazingly tasty traditional Chinese food! We recently moved nearby and have been trying to find a good Chinese for a while, I can safely say we’ve found it here. Well worth the price for the beautifully flavoured and nicely spiced dishes. Can’t wait to try some more next time.

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday with karaoke. There are a few different sized rooms. We were in Room 1 and pre-booked on the phone with a deposit paid. The room was spacious, modern, well ventilated and the sound system was modern with new technology (better than average and better than some in China Town). Food menu mostly has spicy dishes but there are a few regular Chinese food dishes but not too many. We ordered a variety and it came in good time. It is reasonably priced. Roughly £20 each per person. The jug of drinks are overpriced - Jug of honey lemon water was £15! Rip off. But we needed it for all the singing and sore throats. I would visit again but be a bit wiser in terms of what to order and drink. There is free parking too for up to 5 hours.

This place is great. Not your usual Chinese restaurant. It's pricey but I think it's worth it. The service was FANTASTIC, we came in and it was pretty cold and requested the heating be put on, and it was!! They made us feel so at comfortable. By cousin and I had a fantastic meal and we're happy with every penny spent. Would defo eat here again!

It is near the O2, just next to the cinemas and Sainsbury with lots of place to park for free. The food was really good and the service excellent. The menu does not look like the traditional Chinese as we know in the UK and many plates I would not even know what they were but it was all delicious. The price is not cheap for a Chinese but worth the money.

As this is located in a retail park with the cinema complex, I wasn't expecting much from this restaurant. The food was actually really good, and the staff are excellent at recommending items to you. There are some very traditional dishes on the menu and nothing I have tried here has been disappointing. The dishes can be a bit pricey, but they do offer some set menus which are reasonably priced.

We visited the restaurant with some friends on Saturday, prior to seeing a film. We had never been here before but decided that this would be a good place to try.The first thing we noticed on entry were the number of Chinese people eating here, usually a good sign. 3 of us had the Peking set menu and 1 individual dishes. The food was, on the whole, very good but there was a slight difference in quality. The individual sesame prawn toast were much better than those served with the starter platter from the set menu. However that was the only problem of the night, other than our having to take food away, as we had not allowed enough time to eat prior to the film starting.I would recommend this place to anyone and would eat there again. The staff were friendly and considerate and very helpful when the bank decided to do a fraud check when I paid.

They provide very authentic Sichuan cuisine here and Kara OK service. The boss had a Sichuan style restaurant in Kilburn (north London) but stopped that one and opened this. You would find their price very reasonable because of the food size. Good place for a home sick meal and fun night with friends.

We visited the place on 21/04/15 at about 6 o'clock it was empty (hint-hint)! We had singapore vermicelli(too oily), kung fu chicken(too-oily again) and quite awful looking bowl of "tofu family-stile", which was actually really tasteless... Clearly, the food was not cooked from the scratch, but made of par-cooked deep-frozen ingredients from the See Woo cash& carry around the corner. If you fancy cheap Chinese takeaway, visit the Noodle Time in Greenwich - the place is v. popular among locals (hint-hint).

I have eaten here a couple of times now, and the food has always been excellent. Be warned the service can be very hit and miss, but the food quality makes up for it.

This place was recommended to me by a Chinese friend and I was truly not disappointed. In the five months since discovering this place, I've lost count of the number of visits I've made. The food - it's just delicious. I absolutely love the hot pot and the staff are lovely and happily let us try more unusual offerings which are off-menu. The other sichuan dishes are all great too. I wasn't that keen on one of the chicken dishes which had a lot of little bones in it, but you can also order the dish without bones, if you ask. I've been to restaurant with vegetarians and with small children and every meal has been enjoyed by everyone. If you have been to China and tried authentic Sichuan food, and want to find it in the UK, then this is the place to come. It is very different to other Chinese restaurants, although a large part of the menu does cater to the more usual fair. It is definitely the Sichuan and hotpot parts that set this restaurant apart. For me this is definitely one of my all-time favourite restaurants. Just writing this review makes my mouth water and want to visit. Highly recommended!!!!

We are fan of this restaurant until last two visited they were changing lots of things and it was bad. We went there yesterday. Food wasn't good at all. We order platters fried for £8 (I can't remember exactly what is the name on menu was) but food was nightmare - all deep fried food wasn't dried it's very oily and seaweed was cook since last year for serve this year, I think! ! It was awful! ! Main course was expensive and taste wasn't good as it use to be.

In a group of 10, we sampled a wide range of dishes and I loved every single one. Certainly the best Sichuan restaurant I've been to. Many of the dishes came from a non-english menu, the service is impressively inattentive, and the bar's selection is minimal at best. The quality of the food overcomes all of these difficulties.

We went to this restaurant for post movie dinner and were not sure what to order. The staff was really warm and helpful and suggested us about their specialities and how much to order as their portions are quite reasonable. We ordered what they suggested and it turned out to be a sensible decision. The tofu dish was really delicious, flavourful and hot as we desired to have. The veg chow mein was also well seasoned and flavourful. We will go back again and again for that tofu dish, you would not find anything quite like that in your normal noodle houses. The ser vice was good, ambience nice and food delicious. I couldn't find any fault, specially in the prices they offer.

This place is really floating my boat at the moment. Being a real fan of Szechuan food I was ecstatic to be recommended this restaurant, and it has never disappointed. BEWARE the food is very spicy and FRAGRANT in the Szechuan style. They have more classic Chinese fare too, if you would rather avoid or limit the spice. The staff have been great and are very receptive to making changes, we have asked for tofu instead of meat in some dishes and they have been happy to do this, and when we wanted to change some of the food included in the hotpot there was no issue. The hotpot is a great way to enjoy a meal together, having done this here a number of times I would not do this if you are more than 6 as it is a struggle for everyone to reach the pot. You can choose a split pot with half spicy and half not spicy which is a nice way to accommodate children or those who want to limit the spice.

Really disappointing. The server did not even know what type of fish was referred to on the menu, assuming first it was Cod and then Sea Bass- regardless of the species it lacked authentic Szechuan flavouring (as did everything else we offered that night). The won-ton soup was nothing but salted water with a few soggy tasteless dumpling floating around in the bowl. Awful. Chicken chow mien was blatantly scrapped from a large pot that was cooked earlier, slapped on our plate and heated in the microwave. The sweet and sour chicken was rather heavily doused in rice wine vinegar- pretty much the worst sweet and sour chicken i've had. The egg-fried rice was definitely microwave-heated as well- tasted old but hot. We binned the rest of the food and left feeling rather sick. A very far cry from the michelin starred Chinese & pan-Asian restaurants we've had the pleasure of eating at before. You're honestly better off with a supermarket ready meal. Utterly pathetic, especially for the price. Save yourself!

I travel frequently to China where my favourite dining experience is Szechuan cuisine. We had driven past this place numerous times on our way to B&Q and to Seikei (ex Penninsula Restaurant at the bottom of the Holiday Inn and great for Dimsum) but never tried it. My partner's nail place recommended that we try it. We were not disappointed. The Sichuan dishes are totally authentic. Yes they are extremely hot and full of chilly and the very aromatic Szechuan pepper, but that is how they should be. This will not appeal to everyone's palette; which probably explains why it is not as popular as Seikei. It is however very frequented by Chinese diners.....We have been four times in as many weeks and the service has been great and very friendly (if a little surprised that we would order the very spicy dishes). We once went for hotpot as a group of 8 with two young children. The waiting team were superb and brought out extra dumplings for the kids and were generally really accommodating. It should be noted that the Hot Pot has unlimited meat, seafood, veg and noodles so 20 each is a total bargain if you are ravenous. Others have mentioned that the decor is dated and that the toilets were not clean. The four times we have been in the past month the toilets have been clean. Yes the decor is not funky or new, but here it is about the good and that rocks. Price wise it is OK, the hot pot is a bargain. The menu is OK priced, but please show me another authentic Szechuan restaurant in the area that is cheaper... I don't know of one. There are a number of Karaoke rooms for those who enjoy that particular form of torture and on Fridays and Saturdays when the rooms are all booked out the restaurant is blasted with loud music and wailing when the doors to the rooms are opened but with the doors closed it is basically in audible. In short; this is not a place for a romantic tete-a-tete, unless your other half is a spice loving karaoke fiend. However this is an awesome place to try Szechuan food and the staff have always been super friendly to us whether we have been just the two of us or an unannounced table of 8 including two kids.

First time we visited this restaurant, staff were not very helpful. One was on her phone continually and seemed like she could not bother with dealing with clients. Food was gorgeous, after what seemed like a very long waiting time. The downside was the state of the female toilets, there was blood stained tissues etc hanging out paper baskets and on the floors. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned for weeks. I feel that toilet hygiene is very important for a restaurant and this was lacking basic tidying up. We will not be going again in a hurry

We have been coming to 'this' restaurant for over 10 years - the owners use to operate a Sichuan restauant in Kilburn, and that was the one we went to almost every week. The restaurant in its current location is a bit far for us, but we still try to come here from time to time.I am not from Sichuan, but it appears to me that the food is authentic. I remember the owners once told us that they had gone to great lengths to import the correct spices from China to maintain the genuine Sichuan taste. Many of the dishes are very spicy / hot (especially for the uninitiated), but we have got used to this over the years and are now thoroughly enjoying it. One of our long-term favourites is the pork in spicy chilli soup. At this visit, we also ordered green beans (unfortunately the bitter melon, another favourite, had sold out), chilli prawns, and spicy mouth water chicken. All deliciously spicy. Service is not bad, and I would say price is good for the genuine Sichuan food you get here. Highly recommended.

Delicious Sichuan cuisine. Decor and resturant style very Chinese (but don't expect colonial style, more like nowadays Chinese style :) ). Waitress warning about food being very hot and spicy, but in fact this is what you'd be expecting from Sichuan cooking style. Nevertheless it was very sweet and nice that she was so worried. We had frog legs, shredded pork and eel. (+rice) For two people it was a lot! We could not finish, despite every dish was just amazing having own distinctive flavour. Dinner for 2 at the end closes in about 50 pounds (we ordered rather expensive dishes of the menu)Honestly saying - it is the closest to original version of Chinese cooking we've had in London.Great that we have such place and we'll be definately back.NB - they have Karaoke over there but we haven't tried that.

As soon as you walk in, you can see the place is very dated, aged and run down. The menus are quite confusing, there's a lot of traditional food but you can find some of the western Chinese food near the back.We ordered prawn crackers, 1 starter, 1 main, rice & noodles & 1 coke between 2 and this came to £30 including 10% service charge. Personally I think the food was overpriced. The noodles were swimming in oil, the chicken satay was overcooked and hard, overall nothing special in flavour. The whole places feels grubby, including the toilets where the toilet roll holders are being held up by Sellotape. Wouldn't pay to come here again. Disappointing.

Si Chuan offers some mouthwatering Szechuan dishes which we had never tried until coming here. If you like spicy food and Chinese food then come here! We love the spicy dan dan noodles, spicy aubergine, cold cucumber, spinach in garlic, and crispy aromatic duck. All of which were recommendations from our waiters, except the last one! We've tried a new dish each time we've been (which is many many times now!) and, except for a couple of dishes which were a little toooo hot even for us (a seafood hot pot and chicken in dried chillies which were both FULL of red chillies), everything has been delicious. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Service is quick and portions are good sized. The authenticity is affirmed by the crowd which is largely Chinese. The restaurant is suitable for couples or large parties including children.

This restaurant is close to the Odeon cinema at Greenwich in the Millenium Village shopping strip. From the outside it does not look that different to other Chinese restaurants and even inside it looks a standard large Chinese place with karoake rooms. But the smell as you walk in is the giveaway; how spicy and tangy dishes that burn and yet thrill. The dry spicy beef is like a super spice beef jerky that melts in the mouth. The Kung Pao Chicken thrills the taste buds in ways you cannot believe. The fragrant chicken is filled with Szechuan pepper and dried chillies and it will numbe your lips while awakening every taste bud you have. This can all be washed down with lashings of the home made lemon teathat complements the flavours perfectly. Do yourself a favoru, next time you are at the O2 catch a bus a couple of stops and get off at the Odeon to treat your taste buds to the joy of Szechuan cuisine

You can see lots of Chinese people are going there which mean the food is quite good. The only downside is paying for the car park.
