Showcase Cinema de Lux Bluewater in Dartford

Popcorn disappointing. Not particularly hygienic. First time splashing out on some cinema popcorn, thought it’d be a nice treat instead of the usual from the shop. Popcorn wasn’t warm - maybe this is common, I don’t know? Hoped it would be. The lady scooping it scooped the popcorn all over her hands as she held the tub in the container of popcorn. Just not the most pleasant thing to watch..

You've not lived until you've been in the recliner seats

Very pleasant experience...the usual recliner seats and selection of screens available. Ice-cream and a variety of other drinks and treats on site.

I would really like to give this cinema more stars, as the service at the beginning was good and the recliners were lovely. We even took blankets in and felt relaxed… until the people sitting next to us started to see rat droppings. I didn’t think anything of it till we heard scurrying behind us AND THEN SQUEALS, to which people next to us relocated. Unsure if it was rats or mice. If it wasn’t for being close to the end of the film I would’ve left right away and got a refund. We stayed the further 20 mins of the film but when we came out, no staff were at the desk to complain hence this lengthy review here. I don’t mind small furries but not in an establishment with food and drinks in a dark room! Disappointed as it would have been a great experience if only they had better pest control.

Overpriced snacks, the recliners don't really recline. Audio quality was really good, staff nice but the seats are really porr for a long movie, plus £20 a ticket for all of them adverts... start the movie when you say you'll start the movie. May aswell be late to the film

Wow, what can I say but what a rubbish website! It's near impossible now to see the times of the movies, forget about seeing what's on tomorrow or another future date and their show times. The cinema itself is nice and mostly clean, very friendly staff but over priced. Preferring Vue at Lakeside these days.

Movies are very overprices now for what they are, food is extremely overprices and staff either don't care about anything or are so strict you think you was in a boot camp. avoid if you can

Was OK, was disappointed about the Hotdog I bought, I ask for Medium, but was still very small, hate to think what a small one was like. When inside the screen, waited over 30 mins for the film to begin, loads of adverts and messages.

Love going here, sitting in comfortable recliner chairs is the only way for me now, such a better experience to watch a movie.

Watched Alien Romulus. Good cinema, seats only £7 each on Saturday night. Would go again.

The customer service from the manager was shocking. We waited over 10 minutes for a discount to be done. He was called on the radio twice but when he come down i watched him walk straight past the popcorn and drink counter straight to the box office were he was speaking to the member of staff and then sat down . a member of staff had to walk over to ask AGAIN to come and do it .there was no sorry about your wait or anything

Luxury experience, like sitting in you living room on a recliner, chairs are extremely comfortable which makes it much more enjoyable 😉

Xplus screens could be amazing :Giant Screens, amazing Dolby Atmos sound system and recliner seats. The gallery experience is fantastic, and the staff is great. Special thanks for the gentle lady from the staff who helped us take a photo with the transformers statues with our 3 years old. Great finish for our Sunday evening at the cinema.

I'm not a regular cinema goer so hadn't visited for a while. The screen I visited was in a new section I hadn't been in before. It was very comfortable, with reclining seats. Loved it, brilliant!

Lovely recliner seats. Nice and cool inside and had the place to ourselves. The film was great too!

Paid for the new reclining seats in the new theatre area. Yeah seat did not work or the one next to me. Staff took order at desk for food, he kept asking repeat questions and not listening to what we ordered. Order was right at the till but still gave us the wrong items. Not worth the additional cost sadly.

This rude woman was racially abusing me at the cinema and trying to scam me and my friends of our money.we paid money and we got no ticket even tho we showed proof it took money from our cards and they still didn’t let us watch the cinema.The woman in this photo was extremely rude giving dirty looks trying to but in when we were trying to speak to the manager and lying.

Cinema de lux is a very good cinematic event. If anyone live near Bluewater I recommend others to spend their best chance to go to the cinema and watch different movies.

We come regularly to the cinema we came other night to watch a movie in the gallery no staff around to complain to although I don't like doing this..some guy was smoking near us and the person they was with was handing them booze from ther bag .my pet hate is people talking threw a movie why come to the cinema if all u wanna do is talk. Cinema isn't cheap either

Gallery experience has been ruined by new changes brought in by Showcase management, you no longer get an unlimited buffet with olives, donuts, popcorn, crisps and Quality street chocolates etc. You now get a small glass of Prosecco (which I didn’t want) or a glass of orange juice with unlimited popcorn and small box of celebration chocolates (not unlimited). Hardly worth paying the extra now. It’s a shame, we used to spend a lot of money in the bar as well.

It’s a good cinema but I had waiting years to see the five nights at Freddy’s movie but they didn’t let me in because i was too young, even though I had played the games and I had adults who could come in with me. This was on my birthday

Bluewater cinema provides a top-notch movie-watching experience with comfortable seating, great sound quality, and a wide selection of films for all preferences. Highly recommended for a fun and enjoyable time at the movies!

I can't say anything bad about the cinema. But I want to say about the employee who is sitting at the cash register, named Will, I came up to ask about the tickets, I come up, he starts ignoring me saying that he is filling in some papers, I waited for 5 minutes, after that I left.. I think he needs to explain that when clients are suitable, he should serve them more politely, and not delay them.. because that's what his job is

This is my local cinema and I visit generally once a month. Today’s experience was something I’ve never experienced. Whilst I understand it being busy in the weekend, I was shocked to see only one member of staff at the tills, therefore causing quite a wait before I was able to purchase my tickets. As I went to my seat, I noticed some guests had already sat there, I felt quite intimidated and did not ask them to move as they were a big group of young people. I sat a few rows down, this group of young people was clearly not there to watch a film, they were loud, throwing pop corn around and being a nuisance. They were asked to keep the noise down several times by others in the cinema but they took no notice. One customer went out to seek a member of staff for help but sadly no one appeared. I understand that this is not down to the responsibility of the cinema where people choose to sit elsewhere or be a nuisance. However there should a person there to direct guests to sit in the correct seats until the film has started, and also if staff has agreed to come to speak to guests for their behaviour then this should be carried out. Disappointed, watching a film as a family of 4 is not cheap over £50! Please make sure there are staff available for helpful

Love a cinema visit, watching the latest and best films available. Xplus screens and food and drink available, it's always a good time.

We enjoyed our last visit where we had gallery seats. We enjoyed the movie and our seats but the only annoying thing was that people kept ordering food to seats throughout the movie, so we kept having a member of staff Interrupting our film by walking infront of us. Maybe this could be restricted to the trailers and adverts before the main movie?

The seating is the best of any cinema i've been to, and that seems to be standard for them. The drinks selection is incredibly good, and they have good facilities for large groups of people too. Finding the screens is easy, and there are plenty of staff to always help

Definitely pay more to get the recliner chair experience. My last experience was ruined by 10 year olds getting up and running back and forth and taking throughout the whole of Dune 2 and this experience was much better.

Highest quality of 4k lazer projection you can expect. Decent sound in regular screens and world class dolby atmos at their X plus screens. Watched Firiousa mad max Saga at screen 10 (x plus - dolby atmos) , epic experience. This is my favourite place to watch movies now.

This is now our favourite cinema. We went here to watch Star Wars and the place is just really neat. It’s nice that they have a seating area outside and inside. The restroom is well kept as well. I loved the cinema where we watched a sin has. Recliner seat. Just love everything about this Cinema.

I left a favourable review of this establishment some time ago on the basis it was comfortable with good facilities. However, on the latest family visit the experience was soured but an extremely rude manager (I believe his name was Mark). My son (who is an adult) was looking at a scrolling price list for snacks, on display in the foyer. As the display was scrolling my son photographed it to view options at his leisure. The manager was walking past, tapped my son on his shoulder and shouted “stop taking photographs “ and carried on walking. I am not aware if there was actually a rule not to photograph the menu, but even if there was a polite request rather than a shout would have been more appropriate. My son was taken aback but asked “well is there a written menu” the manager just walked off and called out “no” as he walked away with his back to my son. This is a nice cinema but the experience today was ruined but a rude and highly unprofessional member of staff.

Being an insider card holder, makes it little more reasonable. Great improvement (June 2022) lights were fully off during the film, so much better.👍

Clean, modern and spacious cinema with convenient parking. Service was excellent and overall a good experience.

This cinema hall is located in the Bluewater shopping center. An excellent customer service experience. East and west Riya is best . Highly recommended.

It's easily accessible (I'm currently using crutches). The corridor from the lift to the screens was not pleasant. It smelt like an alleyway beside a pub. It's also feeling a little tired and could do with a spruce up. Very comfortable seats. Large screens. Good sound. So for watching the film it's ideal.

Lovely leather seats. Lots of space between the seats, loads of leg room and great screens.

Couple of minor niggles; a, the cinema is tucked away and I found it hard to find amongst the vastness that is bluewater and b, the seating was obviously designed by a man, cold leather and the headrest was too high making it uncomfortable for my petite frame. That said, the seats do recline, makthem slightly more comfortable. However, staff were polite, toilets clean and modern. I didn't eat or drink anything, so I can't comment on that. It is on the more expensive side, but it's Bluewater!

Great cinema, has reclining chairs lots of movies on so lots to choose from. Offers available with an insider card. Nice popcorn and the staff are friendly. Cinema is very clean with plenty of toilets facilities. Enjoyed some great movie time with the family.

I went to go see Dune with a friend. Parking was easy on the theatre seats that we were in was beautiful . A lovely evening

Went to the gallery it was £25 a ticket which I thought was expensive at first but when you consider that a normal ticket is £15 it is only £10 more. For the extra you get a drink (prosecco included!), snacks and a more comfortable exclusive experience. I would definitely recommend!

Generally good cinema. Went to the gallery tonight. Staff were rude and unhelpful at the bar. Didn't end up getting a drink or any snacks. Will not be bothering with gallery again. Waste of money when the 2d recliner is just as good.

Having been a few times, this is a nice comfortable cinema. Screen 3 was a smaller cinema. The experience was OK but the ambience could have been better, the sound quality wasn't up to our expectations despite it being a smaller room and we could hear people eating and sleeping. The seats were a good size, comfortable, and reclined well. Food and drinks were priced OK, and I would recommend getting their loyalty card to get a discount.

This is an amazing multiplex cinema situated within the Bluewater shopping centre near Greenhithe in Kent. Great seating,really nice and comfortable with deluxe options like the gallery which has heated recliners and trays and you'll also receive snacks and a drink with your package. It has it's own exclusive bar. You can also order food which can be eaten in the bar or in the auditorium. Picture quality is excellent and the Dolby Atmosphere sound is really something. There's plenty in the way of refreshments, we all know they are not cheap but this is indicative of all cinemas, there are some deals when buying a drink and a food item. It's all nice and clean and shiny,very modern. It's possible to save money on screenings at off peak times,check their website for details. It was a very enjoyable experience.

You have no choice now about reclining chairs so the prices are quite hefty.

Shame about 30 mins of adverts first of all, so boring, seats are comfortable etc etc, bit too loud for me as well

5 stars for the cinema, viewing, quality etc. Staff were pretty poor though. Not quite with it, even the manager. Family ticket was quite reasonable and all in for 4 (snacks etc) came to about £65

Watched Home Alone just before Xmas. Great comfy seats but unfortunately, the projected image showed blue instead of blacks which was slightly annoying.

Went to see Wonka, we were in screen 17, excellent screen clear and sound was great. We sat in row H seats 9 & 10 our view was what is in the photo ideal place although may try G row next time. Great film and loving the showcase experience.

This is how to see a film, great recliner seats and a huge choice of films to see. Very clean and modern cinema complex, plus, food, ice cream, popcorn, and drinks, so wot's not to like. I go around twice a month totally enjoy everything.

Went to see funny film with my best friends, really good to get out of the christmas house. Great venue, clean, tidy and easy convenient parking. Why wouldn't you with a meerkat code cinema trip!!!
