Very good Mediterranean fare. Get the wings! Food cooked on real coals, comes quickly, good portions. Too bad no alcohol but you can BYOB.

Great restaurant and excellent value. Lovely fresh food, proper fresh orange juice, loads of choices for vegetarians, bright colourful salads, delicious flavours.

Don’t walk by and assume this is an average neighborhood kabob stop. The food here is fantastic, fabulous and just plain fine! We had the mixed grill for two (chicken and lamb) served on a bed of flavorful rice and salad and pita which sounds like a lot and it is. We couldn’t finish it as much as we wanted to. The salads are so crisp and lemony dressed, really excellent. The grilled halloumi app was perfection. Meats are grilled when ordered and arrive perfectly cooked. Huge takeout business, but good tables inside as well as some street seating. Can’t wait to try their shawarma. The food SO GOOD we’d go back if it was run by angry, rude, shouting mad men throwing things, but the gentlemen in attendance are kind, attentive pros who add to the vibe of this place.

We come here every time we are in London. The food is always flavourful and fresh. The staff are lovely. We always eat in and get a bottle of wine from the wine shop two doors down. There is no corkage. Staff are lovely, great service and prices are very reasonable.

Each dish it’s a masterpiece of flavours and textures. The menu showcases a wide array of options & the service staff truly go above and beyond.

It’s not 5 start cuisine but if you have a Turkish fix that needs fulfilled then come here for some food.

Fuimos durante Eat Out To Help Out y nos animaron amablemente a traer nuestro propio vino (BYOB). El servicio fue excelente, muy amable camarero / servidor, que nos proporcionó salsas y ensaladas adicionales a pedido. La comida era estupenda, una sabrosa fuente de Meze para comenzar, junto con una envoltura / fuente de falafel sustancial. En general, excelente para sentarse, pero también recomendaría llevar.

Almorcé en este establecimiento con un amigo. Pedimos el mezze mixto para compartir, pero el camarero / cocinero se olvidó y nos sirvió nuestros platos principales. Le recordamos y nos dio la entrada más tarde. Mi kebab de cordero era un poco difícil. El servicio fue razonable.

Such a tasty mid-week dinner. We got lucky and found a table outside. The chicken shish and koftas were divine and always served with delicious fresh salads and their amazing garlicky yoghurt. Cracking good value too

We were in the area for six days and ended up going here three times. A great selection available and all of the highest quality. Great value for money too. Definitely worth stopping in or ordering a takeaway. They were pretty popular with the deliveroo and uber eats crowd as well.

The food was amazing we had there special mix platter and chicken salad which was more then enough to for 4/5 people and staff was very friendly specially they cook everything front of your eyes. Would 100% recommend and will be going back again soon.

Food used to be incredible with impeccable service, the owner has now changed and now food is inedible and tasted like it had turned (off) and was told that there is a freezer on site now (when everything used to be fresh) staff motivation was clearly lacking and the new owner was very rude and brushed off my complaints (which I very rarely have complained or sent food back in my life) you can tell the chefs had their hands tied and we're control of the new owners standards.

Fui allí el jueves y comí kofta de cordero que tenía muchos carteles. Tuve el mismo problema la semana anterior y pensé que era un problema. Es una lástima que la calidad parece ir cuesta abajo, ya que siempre me ha gustado la comida aquí.

No había cubiertos en la mesa cuando conseguimos la comida. El personal estaba ocupado hablando entre ellos y no prestando atención antes de que obtuviéramos nuestra comida / cubiertos. Más de cordero cocido shish. y le dije que podríamos haber pedido alimentos sub cocidos en su lugar. He estado aquí antes, donde la comida era realmente buena y también la administración más atenta, pero parece que el nuevo personal estaba demasiado ocupado hablando entre ellos en lugar de servicio al cliente, nunca volvería allí otra vez, gracias por el peor viernes por la noche que he tenido en mucho tiempo.

Fuimos un sábado por la noche y el restaurante estaba bastante lleno con muchos pedidos de comida para llevar. Aunque había muchos clientes, no tuvimos que esperar demasiado tiempo para comer. We waited a long time for our food they forgot my tap water. I got a hummus wrap that was good but I did order the hallumi one, and when I said the waiter passing by loudly said 'I took the order you ordered that one'... The chef offered to replace it but I did not want to wait another hour.. The waiter seemed to run around panicking... Maybe they are short of staff... But even so you don't talk to customers that way, and for this reason I will not be back... Learn some manner!

We used to eat here all the time when it was called Shish Mangal. It's a great place to go in Kensal Rise for reasonably priced, healthy food. But since they did it up, the atmosphere in the restaurant is cold. The staff are unbelievably rude, and last time we ordered takeaway, I had to repeat my order to the waitress in the shop about 5 times (after i'd ordered it over the phone), it came with bread and not rice, and the hot food (including only just cooked chicken) was in the same box as the salad,which by the time i got home was warm and wilted. If you eat in, the food is of a much higher quality, but then you have to put up with the abrupt nature of the waiting staff. I wish i'd just cooked myself.

Amazing starters of aubergine salata and hummus. Shish combo was just what it should be tasty and delicious I had the lamb chops just how I like it. Chefs know their grill. Jasmine who likes to be called jas is bouncy and is on the ball and is there even before you want something. Food is avoidable and tasty. You have to try. Ambience is cool. Love it. Glad to be back. Love you guys

I am not here to lambaste the owner or plough in like others have but clearly there's a problem.

I am very disappointed having been a frequent diner (both eat in and take out) when it was "Shish Mangal". The previous restaurant (same owners I believe) was an authentic Turkish, quality food, no chips or burgers (just what you want from an authentic eatery and was a welcome addition to the area when it opened a couple of years back given the poor quality other kebab options - so was great to have quality which clearly was a sentiment felt by many here as the restaurant was always busy .

We have lived in Central London for decades and long before trip advisor and reviews sites were born. We are very well traveled love to try Michelin starred restaurants and love, even more, to find hidden tucked away little gems. I have learned to completely ignore some reviews as people just don't have a clue. Take it from me this is as good if not better than some of the top eateries of similar cuisine in the heart of the West End and even better than what we had from our holidays to Turkey. The food if you know your food, is clearly quality and not your average Turkish kebab shop, and looks likes it prepared is clean, the well-maintained environment at a fraction of the cost. Arguably, due to the size of this quaint little place, you get impeccable attention to the service. I notice they have recently refurbished hence we decided to dive in as we have always preferred sit and dine slowly, not in fast food style place. The decor is sophisticated, and my only personal preference could possibly do with some more traditional Turkish ornaments and paintings possibly. The food consists of very succulent meats, some amazing grilled fish, which I think was exceptional off the grill and starters: hummus and calamari were sensational. The drink we had a very nice quality bottle of wine, which was unexpected for the price we paid for it. I can honestly say with the utmost sincerity you can not get a better quality Turkish cuisines in a tidy well serviced, a relaxed restaurant from any competing local eateries and I have tried most over the years.Since then I would add we have since popped in just to share a bottle of wine, with bread and hummous. I'm pleased to say we were hesitant they might not like it, but were met with a big welcome and smile and felt very comfortable. overall top Marks Shishlique. It used to be one of my favourites based on BYO and great food.But all the cooking equipment and tables have been removed although there were four guys sitting on a sofa left there last night when I went to eat there!It is not clear if it is being refurbished as a restaurant but little obvious evidence of that as the name has been removed!

I can't believe I wasted my money on the worst customer service ever. Not only was the food disgusting due to there being wire wrapped around my chicken shish but the workers are terrible too. There was one man called aziz who worked there. Even when I asked for his name he asked my why and looked at me like he hated me- I could hear him insulting people under their breath and I even saw him pick a piece of bread out of the bin and put it back in the bread pile for US TO EAT!!!!! Are we DOGS? Disgusting place , disgusting service , he needs to be fired with his rude mentality and unbearable nasty ways. I really wonder who employed him. IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND CHOKE ON MEAT BECAUSE THERES CLEANING WIRE WRAPPED AROUND IT THEN GO AHEAD- best place to try and end up in hospital. Like the others! Was good but now taking advantage. On several occasions my home delivery was incorrect,well overcooked and rubbish. Visited tonight for a take away. Sunday and not busy. Totally confused staff and repeatedly messed my order up and got Hme minus rice and shocking!! Suggest they stay in Notting hill, or move to Neasden ! Please !!

Vivimos en Estambul por 6 años y fue como estar de vuelta en Turquía! La frescura de los ingredientes del destacaba, para la ensalada. mezze Un menú sencillo pero todo lo que sabía era bien ejecutados, muy bien presentada y delicioso. Los platos de carne a la parrilla así relativamente saludables son, pero se puede rellenar las calorías por tener un 'Kebap 'cubierto de mantequilla derretida con yogur espeso! Una señora amable nos sirvió y como habíamos leído en el menú puede traer su propio marido apareció al vino más o menos enfrente Tescos para conseguir una botella. También juggled muy bien con varios clientes tener comida para llevar así como aquellos comer.

I usually avoid kebab places but I was in kensal rise fairly late and was very hungry so I thought I'd take a chance as this place has a five star cleanliness rating. The chicken shish was o.k. but the was too much stuff in it other than meat and it ended up leaking all over my coat. Tasty though I had the munchies and I think that I was easily pleased. Ok if u are in the manor and need something quick.

Staff is really friendly and the place is clean. The food is very good and not that expensive! I recommend it!

Shish Mangal is a Turkish grill in Kensal Rise. The shop front is posher than most kebab shops and the food is much better than most. We only had a light lunch here but it was very good and superb value. The staff were friendly and helpful. Its not licensed, but you can take your own wine or beer (and there is no corkage charge). We will definitely go back if we are in the area at lunch or dinner time.

So many different dishes to choose from, coupled with great service and fantastic staff, you can't really go wrong. I've been a number of times and have never had a bad moment. They don't have a drinks license so take your own alcohol if you want to drink, they do not charge corkage. There is no service charge either as they believe good food should not come with added prices!It's fun to be able to watch the Chef's doing their thing and the aroma's that fill the air are a pure delight.Can be really busy so I would suggest booking.

When you can't be bothered to cook, their chicken beyti is a godsend: healthy salads, perfectly cooked well-seasoned lean meet grilled, with delicious just-cooked breads. The guys work so hard in there, but they still keep smiling. The ideal fast food option you don't have to feel guilty about eating at. I wouldn't usually bother reviewing a local restaurant like this, but I happened to notice they had some terrible reviews which seems incredibly unfair. I've had food from here on many many occasions, as take-away and in the restaurant and it has, without exception been excellent quality.

Don't be afraid of flavour, embrace the smoke from the charcoal grill and tuck into the delicious chunks of meat the waiter serves you. Go easy on the chilli and make sure you have enough water because the food is tasty and you may find yourself wolfing it down. Only bad point is the parking. There are parking meters but few spaces and it is an expensive area to park for an hour.

This is my local restaurant, even though they can sometimes be very busy it's worth the wait as the food is very good. It's not a fancy place at all but the local atmosphere is always good.

I go here often as I live nearby and for me it's my favourite place to eat. Everyone who I have taken there has agreed with me: the food is really good and the price is excellent. The ingredients are fresh and the price is cheap. It is also "bring your own" which, if you are drinking alcohol, makes it even cheaper. They are happy to put wine or extra bottles of beer in their fridge. There's a small terrace out front where you can eat on warmer days. It gets busy Friday and Saturday evenings so would recommend booking. Highly recommended for a good cheap lunch, dinner or snack.

Ate here with 3 friends one Sunday evening... If you're after something quick and extremely tasty - this is your place. Be aware it is also a take away so it's not quite got that restaurant feel but you can BYOB. We especially enjoyed the chicken beyti!

Discovered their food through Deliveroo. Tried it one Friday night a couple of months ago and loved it. We order the chicken shish (through deliveroo) Always delicious, always tasty and fresh. We now get it at least once a week sometimes twice. Lovely comforting food. Highly recommend.

This restaurant became one of mine and my husband favourite Turkish places in London. The food is always great, the place is very clean and the staff is lovely. The orders always come quick and the food looks amazing, the prices are decent also.I strongly recomend this place for lunch or dinner, you will enjoy it for sure.

Do not go if you are hungry, I waited 45 minutes for a mixed special kebab at 7pm on a not particularly busy Wednesday evening. EWhen i got home there certainly wasnt anything special about it to be honest. No sauces, a little salad and cold meat. Thanks. Not for me. Far better places to eat in Kensal Rise.

I ordered from deliveroo from Shish Mangal, the food was so poor, very little rice with the mixed grill, 1/4 of a small container. Salad poor, soggy not fresh.

A lovely little place to eat a casual dinner. Each dish was especially tasty - the aubergine starter and hummus are must-haves. Another bonus is that it's BYO! Would recommend

Yep, I went there with the pun!So, I visited on a Sunday evening, not even a drunken night out thought I presume it would just be as good, if not better after a few!I found the £ reasonable and the selections are great, not crazy portions either and not greasy.I'll be back after a beer or two soon!

Fabulous food with good prices and an extensive menu. The kitchen is spotless and the staff are friendly.

This is a great place for meal, either lunch, dinner or take away. Excellent grills and nice staff. The food is cooked to order on a charcoal grill next to the tables so one can track the cooking of the dish ordered. All food can be ordered to take away too.

I have been here several time now and I rate this as one of the best kebabs I've had. The service is amazing as is the food. Last visit I had the chicken beyti and this was seriously good, this came with rice and salad and bread with dips as well. Highly recommended if your in the area.

The previous comment of stingey on the bread is an understatement! I have just bought a kebab for lunch and am so thoroughly dissapointed! There are literally six rocket leaves which comprises the salad with far too much shredded carrot. The Woody Grill on Kilburn High Road is absolutely amazing and is the same price you get a full piece of bread there rather than two tiny soggy pieces that i had with my lunch! Really not worth going to the Shish Mangal at all!

Good quality meat, these guys know how to handle a charcoal grill.Probably the best Turkish in the immediate vicinity, they still have some way to go to match the places up in Haringey in north London If you like kebabs this place is pretty good.

Fresh food grilled in front of you OMG I could eat there every day everything is good and trust me I tried a loads in that place you can also eat in and have the aroma of the food floating around great atmosphere perfect staff and very friendly Now that is a place that is you around do not miss or you are a fool trust me.....

Well we'd seen it but thought it was going to be like any old takeaway Kebab shop. But a friend insisted we go along with her for a quick supper. She said it was great value and BRILLIANT!! It's BYO wine so that's good marks - and there are several bargain wine stores nearby. The menu is not overlong but everythjing is absolutely fresh and tasty. We recommend the aubergine salad, cacik and tabule. The lamb and chicken shish are fab, the bread divine and warm and the baklavas 100%. Staff busy, busy busy but very quick and very gracious. Reckon on £15 a head for a first class all you can eat meal.

Wait staff can be a bit 'stressed' out at busy times, but overall they are OK. Main reason to go here is for the delicious food and the BYOB option! Tip: Go to Borough Wines across the road to pick up some craft beers or good wine to bring with you.

On first sight a kebab shop, maybe a bit better than the usual after pub haunt; here the oversized skewers rotating in front of the grill do resemble meat, but go inside and prepare to be delighted both by the staff, the food and then the prices. This is currently a BYO - with no corkage. The menu contains expected dishes, like hummus and other dips, stuffed vine leaves and so on, and the mains are dominated by kebabs, chicken, lamb and veggie, served simply with rice and salad, but my oh my what tastes they conjure up. Simple fresh ingredients are combined to make what sounds like ordinary, into something sublime. Large portion sizes, and endless bread top ups, make the service and value seem even better. I will definitely return. And looking at t he amount of business they were doing on takeaways, I don't think I am alone in appreciating this littel gem of a place. I hope them manage to get a larger premises, or else the queues for a table will be all the way up the street soon.

This is now one of the eight wonders of the world and I warn you the food is unbelievably good. This is a true hidden gem, Once tried you are In for a treat. All the flavours and fresh ingredients are just out of this world. Make sure to try the grilled dishes cos they're sizzzzzzzzzling Hott Hott Hott. ;)

My absolute fav local restaurant whether its to sit down or take out. The happy smiley staff are always super friendly, even when the restaurant is crazy busy (which is practically always). A great lively atmosphere if you decided to eat in, you do get quite cosy with your neighbouring table. The food is tasty & affordable - a winning combination

Great affordable grub. Downside is no credit/debit cards. Service is five star. We used this venue for my wife's birthday last year and filled the place with family and friends. We'd been to see a show beforehand and the timing of our arrival was wrong based on misinformation from the theatre. Despite our apologetic late arrival, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. I've since been back several times and the standards is consistently high.

I didn't have much money and wanted to go for something to eat with my girl friend! I remember a new kebab had opened in Kensal rise and there menu wasn't too expensive. Little did I know that the menu at the front was a fraud and when you want to eat in the price was doubled. So I decided ok it's not what I wanted to do but I'll just get a take away. I got a chicken shish and my girl friend got a lamb shish. When I arrived back at my house and took out my food I realised that they had given me 4 little prices of chicken and 2 tiny slices of bread. A complete rip off. Good value food in a eastern mediterranean style cafe that is clean. The seating is spacious and when busy the tables are shared. Can watch them cook your food on the managal,or BBQ.

This place is so good and great value! BYOB if you sit in and lots of yummy bread and dips! The chicken shish is mouth watering, I'm craving it now thinking about it! I've sat in once and it was very busy so did feel a bit rushed - probably because we ate the food so quickly so there was nothing left in front of us! Food was great and very reasonable. love the bring your own philosophy which keeps the prices down and you can have good quality drink at a great price. Service and timing wasn't right. Mains were served before starters were finished and then got cold while they were waiting.Overall a good experience and we have been back since.

A sister restaurant of the established and extremely popular Fez Mangal on Ladbroke Grove, Shish Mangal is just as good excellent with fresh food cooked in front of you over authentic Turkish charcoal. Healthy, delicious and very good value. Perhaps even the best bread in town!

A newcomer to this part of London always has an enthusiastic take up until the gloss wears off. This one is here to stay. Expert, attentive and well trained staff guide you through the menu, and the food is fresh and hot. The salad and other items that accompany the bar b qued meats are superb. It is bring your own, with no corkage, so that helps the pocket. First class.
