Awful takeaway meal this evening. Spend over £50 and over half of what we got was dreadful. Ordered duck pancakes (found bone in the shredded duck), prawn toast (tasted stale like it was made 2 days ago), spring rolls (soggy), sweet and sour chicken balls (batter was horrible! So thick and the chicken was like rubber) the fried rice was dry too. All in all an extremely disappointing takeaway. Will not order from here again

Had a few delivery's from here food always been spot on.very friendly staff .keep it up won't go anywhere else.

After years of using this place they've decided to go cash only! What a step backwards in 2024. It was always handy when I came back from a day out to pay by card. Sadly, I'll not be going back as I'm not withdrawing cash just to get my evening takeaway. I'll use other places instead like Romeos. Such a shame and a bewildering decision.

Brilliant Chinese, this is the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Always busy when you ring, but that is a sign of a good takeaway. Quick delivery. Staff are really friendly

After a couple of boilermakers with the Mem Saab at the Grey Horse, what better way to round off the early evening with an an excellent Chinese takeaway. Love the fact that it's then just a short stroll down Harrow Street, hop and a skip over the footbridge and home. Looking forward to visiting the mother in law again very soon.

Tried here as an alternative to our normal takeaway. Food was fantastic, very tasty, good portion sizes. We sat and waited for our food and it was prepared quickly even though we had a set meal for two. Will use this takeaway again.

Only ordered 2 rice , 2 chips and curry sauce. The chips were rotten, hard and dry. More end bits than actual chips. So out of 2 bags I would say we hoyed 1.5 bag out. Very disappointing.

A bit gutted as the past few times seem to be going downhill. Curry sauce not what it used to be, chips seem like they have sat there for hours and forgetting a part of the order. This one was top of my list aswel🙁

Had my first takeaway of hot n sour soup and a house special curry with boiled rice last week. It was absolutely delicious . Faultless. Plenty of well cooked delicious ingredients .Still hot when delivered .So good that Im waiting for another meal to be delivered right now . Just the thought of it has me salivating. Best Ive ever had without a doubt . And so was the meal I purchased tonight . Again house special curry ,boiled rice and hot n sour soup . Perfect 👏👏👏

Just picked up some food from here, was only given 6 pieces of salt and pepper chicken for £6 the rest was veg, literally between 2 people we have 3 pieces of chicken each, the chips are so dark brown and stuck together. Rice is fine but for a whole meal absolutely terrible :( prawn crackers are also absolutely from yesterday they are so thin and soft

Have been going here for years and they seem to have changed menu or ingredients as my partner had a major nut allergy reaction, when we called them all we got was ‘sorry’, no offer of a refund or anything!

We always order from here have done since we moved here in 2018. It’s always been our go to chinese. Last few times we have ordered it hasn’t been anywhere near as nice as it used to be. Tonight we were given chips clearly from the day before all mushed together with the rice and curry not very pleasant at all chips that were brown and yucky(my daughter definitely wouldn’t eat them) the texture wasn’t very nice at all both ended up binning it, the spring rolls we always order tasted weird too have you changed them? The prices have gone up which is totally understandable given the cost of things rising but the quality is completely different to what it used to be. Have given 3 stars as always friendly service on the phone and we have had lots of good meals from here but unfortunately we might have to stop ordering as things just haven’t been right for a while.

Over the past couple of months we have noticed a decline in the quality of the food. Loads of chunky onion to bulk out the food and the prawns have been hard and dry too. Very disappointing. Won't be going back.

Easily the best chinese we have ever had, my wife and I have eaten in a lot of different chinese places but shiremoor tops it for us

Very overated, the food is standard, the crispy chicken we got was soggy the chow mein was 80% oil, the chillie and garlic chicken was very nice though! overall 5/10 plenty more better places to go, china chef and south gosforth

Best Chinese ever!! The Satay chicken is gorgeous. Great menu, loads of choice. Well priced. Friendly staff and good delivery drivers. Food always hot. It always seems real busy and can be quite hard to get through on the phone so start early. Definitely recommend

Very poor on recent visits. Chicken balls are always vastly overcooked so ordered different meal last night. Chicken and char siu chow mein was nice however massive let down was old chips that had clearly been part cooked earlier and then microwaved. Shame cos this place used to be lovely. Won't be going back again.

Honestly I loved the takeaway food hot and lords in more I can handle food portions and nice happy. Staff every food such as chicken and noodle cooked very well always done. Spectacular

Food excellent, great varied menu, prompt delivery, only problem is that if a man answers the phone when you call in your order, don't let the delivery driver leave until you have checked your order, this bloke has got our order wrong 3 times now and when you phone up to quirie it he couldn't care less, if the girl answers its fine though

Always excellent and the times when we phone (I always collect) invariably around seven pm saturdays or Fridays it’s rare they say longer than fifteen minutes to pick up. Never had a bad one and they are lovely people. Very much recommend deep fried crispy beef in Cantonese sauce Lovely!

I've been going to this takeaway since 1972 (48 years) and the rice was a little bit hard once in 2018 apart from that it's perfect and I've had some other takeaways and they were ok but not as consistent, I recommend it

First time trying, prawn toast was nice and good portion, might just be what I ordered and I'm sure there are some great items on the menu, but the sweet and sour chicken balls were poor compared to other places I have tried.

Visited this takeaway two weeks ago while staying nearby at a Premiere Inn. Had green pepper and beef in black bean, one of the best Chinese takeaway meals I’ve ever had. So good I went back two nights later !!!

Good food, nice service and normally quite quick as well

Always really enjoy the food here and you get really generous portions for such reasonable prices. Also as a vegetarian, they kindly let me know when I ordered something which was made with chicken stock. In fairness I should've checked the veggie curry as it isn't under the vegetarian section of the menu. Also delivery from here is usually super quick! Recommend 100%

This is my favourite Chinese takeaway. The girls on the desk are lovely. 1 of them I've known a long time and always advises me on what I can eat or how she change a recipe, to suit my allergies. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

They forgot the rice had to wait 15 mins which made the food cold so they sent another curry with the rice and even that was cold the only nice thing was the chips.
