Shire Chippy in North Tyneside

Just bought bag chips , waited for chips to cook so should have been lovely and fresh. The chips were disgusting not cooked enough hard inside and tasted like oil needed changing awful taste. I will never return thought I would give it a try pleased it wasn't a large order as went in the bin.

My son has just returned from the chippy feeling upset and humiliated by the blond lady who served him. When he thought it was his meal she was preparing she twice in front of all the customers in the shop sarcastically asked him in an aggressive tone ‘do you want you fish cooked or not’ Well the answer NOT as we will not return again I would rather jump in my car and drive to another one.

Pedí comida para llevar de aquí con mi familia. Después de llegar media hora tarde, la comida estaba helada. El kebab estaba seco y sin sabor. La ensalada era linda en trozos enormes y también estaba muy seca. La salsa de ajo tenía un rango probado, no como el ajo en absoluto. El pan pitta estaba frío, duro y rancio. El pop enviado con él también era cálido. Comida muy pobre, muy mal servicio. No recomendaría ni iría aquí de nuevo, muy decepcionado.

Llamé a ella por algunas fichas y estaban cubiertas de trocitos negros de las freidoras que no estaban siendo limpiadas. También estaban fríos y secos y lo peor, un pelo justo en la parte superior. No volvería jamás

Nunca tuve altos estándares para The Shire Chippy y estaba en lo cierto al hacerlo. Las patatas fritas eran sorprendentemente buenas, el pescado tenía algunos huesos, lo cual era molesto, aunque el pescado era de un tamaño decente. Me dieron mi té y tardó un poco en llegar, así que la comida no estaba caliente y un poco fría. En general está bien, pero no excelente.

Food was ok portion size good but quality not there prob only order here again if normal takeaway closed

Ok came here to write a nice review saw the bad ones and just though what the hell. Got food through just eat for the first time fish i thought would be soggy but was as if had just been pulled from the fryer and for a medium i would say is quite big chips for a chip shop are a big thing and they were great and as someone who spends 3k a year on takaways this place i dont mind handing over my money just give it a try.

I visited with my son as a treat for a Kebab. The meat was as dry as sticks must have been cut and left to dry out for hours. It tasted terible and the person who served me must have been able to see how bad it was wen they prepared the food. Whilst i was in the Shire chippy; the staff were talking, and saying how quiet the shop is and how they had put on several offers, i hope the owner is reading this, its not just offers people are looking for its tasty freshly prepared food served consistently. People dont buy on price alone and you need to ne there keeping an eye on your shop .

i bought a kebab it was that bad i put it in the bin as could not eat it the bin was the best place for it

Placed kebab straight onto counter wb Here customers had their children sitting. Walked out. Obviously no perception of food hygene

Just been in to grab my usual sausage special and heard one of the lasses say to the guy in front of me "do you want to come back in 10 mins after these chips are cooked as I wouldn't serve the ones in there" and the guy left, some old dear then came to the counter and served me with the very chips that both she and I had just heard the other lass say she wouldn't serve. I took the meal home, ate the sausage and binned the chips and won't ever spend another penny in that shop which considering I live almost opposite and get a fair bit of food from there is a bit of a shame but I'd rather drive to Monkseaton to seashells than be treat with blatant disregard and served stale over cooked food.

Ordered a Donna wrap. Wrap was placed on the counter them the Donna meat on top. No paper or anything. Walked out without food when the man looked st me like I was mad when I crit

They serve amazing home made Pizza's - the best I've had from a fast food outlet - I would choose there Pizza over a restaurant.

The staff are very pleasant,piping hot chips with batter on and curry sauce well wrapped so they stayed nice and hot until I got home

Went here whilst at whitley bay caravan park and it was disgusting we for kebabs and fish and chips the chips were not to bad the fish if that's even what it was was white mush with skin on it and the kebab was just disgusting! Avoid!

Ordered food from here tonight and it was 2 hours late. The food was cold. I ordered 2 portions of cheesy chips of which only one had cheese on. We asked for salad with a cheeseburger but all we got was the onion no lettuce etc. We also found hair in the portions of chips and this all cost me £11.98. Total waste of money, not a single person offered me a refund or seemed bothered in anyway about the poor service. Safe to say I will never order from here again. Very disappointed.
