Food was underwhelming. Salad option was a plate of lettuce with a not very nice dressing. Fish was overcooked. Only one small spoon of baked beans with the fish and chips. Would not recommend the food. Limited soft drink options on the menu.

My stay with you was excellent thank you. Very welcoming and always available if needed. The food was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all I know. First of all we had a lovely welcome from the manager, who was so friendly and accommodating. We had a table with the sea view as requested for a special birthday meal. The coffee was fantastic and after a swim we returned for a lovely Sunday roast, which was well cooked and presented nicely. We had drinks outside on the patio and blankets were provided to keep us cosy. The meal was really good value too, not too expensive and good portions. We can’t fault anything at all and have decided we will return very soon.

When we arrived we were shown to our table by the lovely Betsy. She was very charming and made us feel at home. She took our drinks order and placed our food order. We had a fantastic late lunch at The Ship at Tresaith. We had booked for 3 o'clock and the mad rush of early booking was slowly calming down. We had a phone call to say they couldn't guarantee that Sunday roast would be available but when we arrived we were told they had four portions remaining. Three of us had roast and my friends husband took a fancy to the Steak and Ale Pie. The Roasts, two beef and one pork were huge and looked fantastic. The food was extremely tasty and filling. We live locally and it's not our first visit, always a great meal and friendly staff.

The waitress was very lovelly and atemptive as well as the barman. I have recently found out that I have a slight dairy intolerance but I don't like to tell the restaurants I go as it's not an allergie, and I don't want to be the dificult person with food restrictions, so I just ordered the Hunter's chicken without the cheese, after a couple minutes the waitress came back and asked me again if I had some allergies so I admitted my dairy intolerance, the waitress sugested that they were able to do the Hunter's chiken with vegan cheese. It was so thoughtfull that it made my day. The food was delicious, we will definitely come back. Please excuse my grammar as English is not my 1st language.

From awful service to just as awful food. Took nearly half hour to take our drinks order, took another 15min to bring the drinks and then we still had to wait for them to come back and take food order. Pork belly - was mainly just fat, miniscule amount of meat and fat not rendered down properly. Burger - burnt and dry as hell. Had to send both meals back, paid for drinks and left. Guy with blonde hair has terrible attitude, he brought 1 dish at a time (can't carry 2 plates?) and barely grunted a word to us just dropping plates onto the table. The view is the only good thing here.

I came with my granddaughter Mia who's 11. She arrived to stay with me after our planned family holiday ended up being a lonely one, she has come to stay for the 2nd week with me, We watched the sunsetting on the beach. She paddled in the sea, was mesmerised by the rainbow colours coming out of the waterfall before coming up to you guys for a well needed meal. It had been a super long day of driving. Mia is beyond fussy, so she chose to make her meal up consisting of onion rings, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese minus the extras..... 😋 😋 she enjoyed every bit of it. I enjoyed the Hunters chicken. Staff super lovely, very helpful, Mia felt confident to speak with staff when she needed to, this doesn't come easy to her, the evening was perfect. Thank you. We've booked in again 🙌 😍 xx

I told the waitress who took it away and didn't return! I went to the bar to be told they couldn't do anything as the manager wasn't there! Great views of Tresiath beach as right on the front. That's why they don't really have to try hard. We booked a table. Sat outside. Went to the bar to order as you couldn't order via the phone from the table as it did not recognise the menue. We were going to have sea bass and flat bread meal. The couple behind us told us not to bother with the flat bread as the chicken dry and no chirozo was in his meal as listed in the menu. So thought we would have home made lasagne with red wine. Waited aged to be served as one person at the bar. Only to be told no sea bass. So ordered the pie. When it arrived no cutlery given to us so waited. The food was barely warm. The lasagne was out of a jar. If I had known this I wouldn't of ordered as this makes me ill. There's something in the ingredients. Nobody asked if our meals were OK. So disappointing as it was al special reason for eating g out that day. In future when we go to the ship we will just have a drink. I would avoid eating at Marstons pub again .

Unassuming on the outside, over exceeds expectations on the inside. This is a highly considerate pub, with an immediately warm welcome in the form of water jugs freely available, clean blankets for the outdoor guests, dog treats and water, and board games to use. We could tell within a glance that this is a great pub to settle in for a cozy Sunday lunch. The menu included usual pub grub and something for all tastes and ages. The food itself was unremarkable, with the sharing platter a little beige and fried to be truly gastro-pub worthy. I recommend a few fresh garnishes and side salads to make it more appealing. A stones throw from the beach make this a beautiful spot to stop for lunch if you’re in the area.

Below is a review from two years ago, we have lodge nearby and eat here at least once a week in season. The truth is it’s a managed pub and it’s not been managed well for a number of seasons. First, the good side. Most of the staff are lovely and try their best and the location and view will remain unparalleled. However, it is unquestionable that overall there has been a decline in quality of food and service that has been mirrored by a rise in price. Drink prices are London levels (over £6 a pint and £9+ for a large glass of average Rose). Not that you can get served at peak times of course when staff watch as a queue snakes out of the bar a one staff member takes 15 mins to serve a couple of cocktails to 1 customer. We normally don’t bother anymore, it’s so expensive that it’s not worth the wait. We ate there last night, for once the menu was fully available (a novelty I promise you) two burgers, a veggie curry and a kids meal. ‘A Buttermilk chicken burger’ that was three breaded chicken goujons and a wet lettuce leaf in a bun (£16) that I simply refused to accept (kids party bbq fodder) accompanied by a small handful of fries. That was replaced by a signature burger without cheese, which of course came with cheese. Portion sizes in general just small and poor value. The weather may not reflect it, but it’s high season, and yet at 9pm last night there were only two people left in the pub. It was dead. The decline in two years is marked. I post this in hope that it encourages Marstons to up their game. Support their staff and help them make a once great pub much better. Two years ago… Good service, reasonably priced food. Table near toilets not great and only one veggie option available… Pretty good though overall.

We come to The Ship Inn every year as part of a family tradition. Table booked weeks in advance with special request to be near front. Told our table had been bumped to “prioritise residents” so we’re sat in the back. Joined by another table who said that they were locals and had been pushed to the back as “Steven is working instead of Haley so things aren’t good”. Two other tables complained and one table was moved. Food was okay but service poor and ruined overall experience.

Never again. Used to be great many years ago, but its gone down hill. Now its below basic pub grub, over priced, and poor service to boot. Go to the ship in Aberporth (quality) or even the caravan site at Helyg (Value) if you want something better to eat. I ordered the rib eye, medium, came out well done! and then had to wait another 30 mins for the next steak which was blue 🤦‍♂️. It was a Saturday at around 5pm, and they had no rice to go with the curry my daughter had 😂. It seems to me, that the stunning location is the only reason this place remains open.

Superb place near the beach, great food, great beer what more do you want or need. Although no busy the service seemed a little slow however we were apologised for the wait. After that everything was seamless and fast. The burger I had was juicy and cooked to perfection even the bacon which I asked for to be crispy was well done and crispy the server thought it was over done however it gave the burger a perfect BBQ smell and taste which only made the burger better. If I had any complaint I'd would be the small amount of cheese on the burger. The wife again had her favourite sea bass and loves every bit. The only issue she realised from the previous sea bass meal was the lack of peas the first she only received 1 pea but this second time she received a decent portion The puddings were nice and they service my favourite sticky toffee pudding I've had all week from around the area

Had 3 overpriced drinks and decided not to eat there as it seemed an inconvenience for staff to allocate a table for us. luckily the pentre arms at llangrannog were more than welcoming for our custom. 2 nd disappointment was today 1/6. Arrived to find parking space in the car park for a disabled family member. Abruptly told to move , as we reversed out a member if staff pulled into the same spot. Went in to order food tables were very sticky ,bar understaffed. The only let down for us was the lack of staff, although this may have been an unfortunate circumstance. Therefore the lady waiting on the tables was rushed off her feet and service was a bit slow. We live locally and have visited this beautifully located pub many many times over the years. What a disappointment it was to visit the place today for the first time in a while. It certainly has gone down hill. We intended to stay for lunch but did not do so. The staff were miserable and could do with a long customer service training session. The tables were sticky and there were crumbs on the chairs. No excuse for this when we were the first to sit there. On one of the most glorious days of the year so far they chose to close the outside area. The price for a couple of drinks was extortionate. Won't be back here for quite a while again. No wonder they need to send discount vouchers out to us locals!

I have eaten at the ship for the past twenty plus years. Today the food was very very poor. The coast of a meal for four plus baby was 140 pounds for the poorest food I have eaten. shame on the chain who owns this place.

I got a real feel for this place in the short time I was there. I would have liked to have stayed longer and tried more of their beers.

I went for dinner with my son. I booked ahead. Food was good as was the service. I enjoyed my meal. Menu was burgers and pizzas. All good.

I went to the inn on the Pier tonight for food with my boyfriend and dog. We sat in one of the window seats and had a lush view of Aberystwyth. We ordered fish and chips and scampi and chips. The service was very good, chatty happy staff. The food was delicious and we only had to wait a few minutes for it too. Highly recommended. My dog even enjoyed the experience. I can’t wait to return soon.

This is the best charging stop in the UK. Free parking while you charge. 50p/kWh for a rapid charger. The Fuuse App works easily. Great value food in a clean restaurant and free entry to the National Library of Wales. This is the future of EV charging. If only all charging stops could be like this.

Thr vegan burger was overcooked and dry, the service was also unwelcoming
