Excellent Sunday lunch and outstanding service from the staff.

12 of us went for an evening meal. Received excellent service, very accommodating for allergies and great location for looking out for dolphins! Will definitely eat there again!

Customer service? What customer service! Once we had ordered, we had food brought to us (which was absolutely fantastic!) but were then told to go and get our own cutlery. Not a problem - but our food was then on the table getting cold. The pie should have come with honey roasted carrots but there were non in sight. When we asked if we could have some, we were told there weren’t any, to which I questioned why we hadn’t been informed of this and asked if we wished to amend our order. The bar member then told me the chef just hadn’t prepped any but did I want any other vegetables… with already mash and greens with the pie I was unsure of what other vegetable was on offer and was given no guidance. At no point did anyone check how our food was and we were left with our empty plates for 30 minutes after finishing. When someone eventually came, he simply said plates please, no social graces of was everything ok with our food etc. All of this is not a reflection of the staff, but poor managerial skills. The evidence of the complacent manager continued with no water in the water tap and no tissue paper in the toilets. A brilliant pub, but the brilliance only continues if standards are upheld and staff given adequate training. Such a shame as this has been for many many years our favourite pub!

Absolutely amazing place, staff are very welcoming and friendly, food was extremely tasty and came out prompt and hot, we will definitely be coming back again!

Absolutely awful, I had scampi (it was overcooked and hard) the few frozen chips were barley warm and the dried out frozen peas were barley a dessert spoonfull, my parter just had a starter, the pate was nice, there was not enough toast served with it and it was overpriced, service was OK, but wouldn't rate the kitchen

I came to the area on a whim with just myself and my dog, and thankfully The Ship Inn is dog friendly, so I had two dinners and one breakfast here! I can highly recommend eating here, and can confirm they are dog FRIENDLY, they offered treats, water, and gave my girl some fuss too. It's also barely a 15 second walk from a dog friendly beach too (the right side is dog friendly year round) The staff were all so friendly and helpful, having come on a whim I hadn't thought to book ahead - I'd very much recommend booking as it is a popular pub, but I was lucky to have been accommodated both nights and one morning.

This place is absolutely fantastic; great views, very friendly and attentive staff and lovely atmosphere and decor. Thoroughly recommend this place when visiting the area! The lamb was beautifully cooked, and very very tasty.

I cannot comment on food as we can’t eat here because they do not cater for our food allergens. We can only comment about the bar service which is substandard, tables always littered with glasses and empty plates staff standing round talking and making you wait for service. and all this for a premium price

It's a top spot for a pint and a bite by the beach, been quite a few times and service at the bar consistently slow, plus the prices are toppy, charged £1.70 for 1/2squash and nearly £7 for neck oil

I have been in the area for 12 years and its open all year round its a great pub to eat and drink at. In the winter its a great warm and cosy pub to go to for food and drink. Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed for two nights having previously visited for food less than 6 months ago. We loved our stay, the staff go above a beyond. I’d like to thank Willow for going above and beyond by bringing in a ieron from home as the one at the Ship inn had been lost or stolen by a previous guest. The views from the rooms are truly beautiful, and the pub/restaurant downstairs was so convenient. I’d also like to mention Kate and Betsy for their excellent and friendly hospitality.

Lovely location, staff and beautiful food.

We had to cancel our booking short notice because we were unable to go on the trip we had planned. The staff reacted very friendly and understanding. They refunded us the whole amount even though the reservation was non-refundable. We highly appreciated this and will book this accommodation once we get the chance to do the trip after all. Best fish and chips I've ever had, especially the chunky chips. I normally avoid ordering fish and chips in pubs as they tend to disappoint, but not this pub. Lovely views and location as well.

We’ve been coming to The Ship Inn, Tresaith for over 10 years, and somehow they’ve managed to keep getting better – either that or we’ve just lowered our standards everywhere else. The food was delicious, the view stunning as always, and the service? So good I actually left a tip – which, in today’s pub climate, is rarer than a sunny bank holiday weekend. Hats off to the team – you’ve still got it!

We had travelled to celebrate a special birthday for my wife. We had originally booked two nights at a different location. Unfortunately, the original accommodation was disastrous. So we checked out and began a search for an alternative. By sheer luck, we found The Ship and could not have been happier. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel extremely welcome and we were delighted with the room. We would just like to add a special thank you to Hayley. She was bubbly, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She put a huge effort into making sure that my wife had an enjoyable birthday celebration.

We had an amazing stay at the Ship Inn At Tresaith. Our room offered breathtaking views of the beach, and it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed. The location is ideal for anyone wanting to be close to the beach and enjoy the stunning coastal views. We’ll definitely be returning for another stay! Highly recommend this gem by the sea!

Poor! Visited today, Easter Saturday. Food was average at best. Chips stone cold and small portion, Burger was fine. Ordered Onion rings as a side, had to remind staff, eventually came after my meal, 3 small rings when other portions had much more. My wife had the flatbread, that was nice but overpriced for what it was. I've been a regular visitor to The Ship, previously couldn't fault the food, but I will be going elsewhere for a while after today's visit.

This inn has a particular wonderful feel as you enter, very friendly and helpful staff ready to greet and show you to your table. Quick service ordering and we then settled back and enjoyed the glorious views of the beach and sea. Food was top quality, presented well and delicious! We would definitely not hesitate to recommend The Ship Inn Tresaith to all our family and friends and we will be back. Well done to all the staff who made this a memorable occasion. Thank you!

We tend to eat here about four or five times a year. The food is nicely prepared, presented and served by very friendly and helpful staff. The venue is well maintained and quirky. And the views are to die for..... Oh, and it is dog friendly too The down side is that parking on site is limited to four cars. Parking on the road is limited to about six or seven cars on what I think is at best a B road and more likely an unclassified road. There is alternative parking but it is a walk down ( and after a meal and a drink) back up hill. That said, it is a beautiful pub on a beach and well worth a visit any time of the year

The best lasagna I've ever had and a very nice side salad as well. The service was friendly and quick, and the seating area had a very nice atmosphere. Clean. A little tricky to find parking but not impossible and also not the fault of the restaraunt for the difficult area. Looking forward to trying the puddings next time

Food was gorgeous, service was great and really friendly. I would've given more stars but it was absolutely freezing inside, and I was shivering for most of the meal despite being in a thick jumper. The restaurant is lovely inside, clean and well decorated. The sea views are lovely too!

We stayed for 2 nights here. The location is perfect. The staff were so lovely especially Hayley who was fantastic and looked after us throughout our whole stay. The gentleman working on Sunday night was also super helpful and lovely. The staff and Hayley in particular made us feel at home. The room had the best view of the sea.

I had an amazing experience at the Ship Inn Hotel and Pub Restaurant! The rooms were excellent, offering stunning sea views that made the stay even more special. Nice place with great views out to sea, serves was good , we all had the fish and chips which was lovely, parking is a bit limited and in summer a problem I would think.

Fantastic customer service!! Amazing food! The steak was cooked perfectly! The plan was to take pictures of the food but we ate it all! Thank you for a wonderful meal and my four leaf clover in my pint. Was a lovey touch! Definitely worth a visit!

We arrived late. They sat us quickly. Friendly prompt service. Good food and decent prices. Only downsides is the peril with trying to drive to the pub down the lanes (not the pubs fault!) and not having any IPA on the bar (the pubs fault). Also pub quiz night and highly serious quizzers do not mix well with a social group who have gone out to converse! :)

Lovely pub with fantastic views of the beach. Food is very reasonably priced but is what you’d expect from a chain pub. The staff were absolutely fantastic, brilliant service and going the extra mile wherever possible. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. They even have a menu for the dog which is something we’ve not seen before and was really appreciated. Thank you Hayley and the team we will see you again soon.

We had high hopes for The Ship Inn, having received great reviews from friends. Unfortunately they weren’t met. We were greeted by 2 young waitresses and shown our table, where we were given menus and left for 10-15 minutes without a drink order. When we were asked for our order the waitress said that they had no pads to write the orders, so would try and remember our order. She then recited the order back but forgot half of it and decided it was best to write the order down on her phone, something that she said she shouldn’t have done. The starters arrived promptly and were fine, nothing to write home about but ok (chicken bites and calamari). However, the chicken was to come with a blue cheese dipping sauce, but wasn’t present on the plate, when we asked the waitress for it she said she had just been told by the chefs that they had run out and I asked for alternatives, which she was very accommodating of. The mains then arrived, my husband complimented his lamb shank, however the seabass that I ordered was so terribly, I couldn’t eat the dish. The fish was fishy and tasted “old”, it was limp and made me question how it was cooked. The potatoes were under seasoned, the greens were mushy and the sauce had dried on to the plate, it was inedible. We tried to salvage the meal with a shared dessert, the brownie. The brownie was undercooked and grainy leaving us disappointed in the meal and we felt as though we couldn’t say anything to the waitress as she was nice but seemed ill equipped to support us with our experience. It would have been nice to have a managerial presence on a Friday evening, that we could have raised these challenges to. Sadly, we won’t be back despite the lovely atmosphere and location.

Wonderful location overlooking the beach. Food is good for a large pub chain. Staff are friendly & helpful. Dog friendly too.

We had a friendly welcome, were sat at our preferred table, had the menus explained including those dishes not available (understandable at this time of year), had our orders taken and received our food in a timely fashion, all cooked nicely and tasted great. All in all very happy!

Super friendly service, some things unavailable on the menu but didn't affect us 😊we had sirloin steaks, they were a little tough but flavour and sides were lovely. Lovely and clean, on our last visit it was extremely grubby so a good improvement, always nice to sit and eat in a clean environment. Food very good value.

Easy to book a table. Parking was a bit of an issue but we managed to find a parking space… staff were very helpful with advice. We were greeted by friendly staff who could not have been nicer. Having bilingual waiters was a bonus. We were given a table with wonderful views of the sea and coastline. The food was very good and tasty.

Beautiful place right on the coast, stunning views over the bay, amazing service and friendly staff!

We are local to the area and have been coming to the Ship for years. I would say the pub is the best it has ever been. Service is great, food is brilliant for the price, and you have the option of sitting outside with lovely views of the beach on warm days or inside with the fire and cosy decor on colder ones. We visited this evening, and they have just put up the Christmas decorations, which adds further to the cosy interior. We asked to move table so we were by all the fairy lights which my daughter and wife loved, not a problem for the staff. Steak, seabass, and kids fish goujons, all really tasty. Dogs are welcome, which makes for a good pint after a walk on the beach. Nice little touches don't go unnoticed either, such as dog treats and water bowls. Well done to all the front of house staff and chefs! Top stuff 👏

The staff were incredible. Really on the ball, friendly and professional. We were welcomed straight away and had a beautiful table overlooking the beach. The food was wonderful and really reasonably priced. Next time we are in the area, we will be visiting again.

Spacious, clean rooms with very comfy beds. Truly dog friendly. Amazing service, really delicious food and fabulous location.

Food was underwhelming. Salad option was a plate of lettuce with a not very nice dressing. Fish was overcooked. Only one small spoon of baked beans with the fish and chips. Would not recommend the food. Limited soft drink options on the menu.

Came in for a light lunch and quick pint, but the menu looked so good we decided to have a full dinner and a pudding. We were not disappointed! Pan fried sea bass, beer battered cod. Delicious. Staff were brilliant, and the view is fantastic. Made our day!

First of all we had a lovely welcome from the manager, who was so friendly and accommodating. We had a table with the sea view as requested for a special birthday meal. The coffee was fantastic and after a swim we returned for a lovely Sunday roast, which was well cooked and presented nicely. We had drinks outside on the patio and blankets were provided to keep us cosy. The meal was really good value too, not too expensive and good portions. We can’t fault anything at all and have decided we will return very soon.

When we arrived we were shown to our table by the lovely Betsy. She was very charming and made us feel at home. She took our drinks order and placed our food order. We had a fantastic late lunch at The Ship at Tresaith. We had booked for 3 o'clock and the mad rush of early booking was slowly calming down. We had a phone call to say they couldn't guarantee that Sunday roast would be available but when we arrived we were told they had four portions remaining. Three of us had roast and my friends husband took a fancy to the Steak and Ale Pie. The Roasts, two beef and one pork were huge and looked fantastic. The food was extremely tasty and filling. We live locally and it's not our first visit, always a great meal and friendly staff.

The waitress was very lovelly and atemptive as well as the barman. I have recently found out that I have a slight dairy intolerance but I don't like to tell the restaurants I go as it's not an allergie, and I don't want to be the dificult person with food restrictions, so I just ordered the Hunter's chicken without the cheese, after a couple minutes the waitress came back and asked me again if I had some allergies so I admitted my dairy intolerance, the waitress sugested that they were able to do the Hunter's chiken with vegan cheese. It was so thoughtfull that it made my day. The food was delicious, we will definitely come back. Please excuse my grammar as English is not my 1st language.

Just like thanks to the staff on Saturday night as it was are wedding anniversary and I ask for a bottle of prosecco to come to are table which they did straight away, Also the food was great so all in all it was a lovely night. Thank you

From awful service to just as awful food. Took nearly half hour to take our drinks order, took another 15min to bring the drinks and then we still had to wait for them to come back and take food order. Pork belly - was mainly just fat, miniscule amount of meat and fat not rendered down properly. Burger - burnt and dry as hell. Had to send both meals back, paid for drinks and left. Guy with blonde hair has terrible attitude, he brought 1 dish at a time (can't carry 2 plates?) and barely grunted a word to us just dropping plates onto the table. The view is the only good thing here.

This busy pub needs more frequent food deliveries there are always sold out items taken off the menu.ie the steak promotion on Thursday, they ran out of steak no prawn cocktail starters left , overall the food that is available is very good

Lovely pub set on the coast with a beautiful view of the sea. We booked in advance and were seated promptly on our arrival. Drinks can be ordered online and arrived quickly upon payment. Food ordered at the bar and no problems with wait time. For a busy service, I have to say that the staff were brilliant. They were all extremely friendly and remained professional throughout. Will definitely be coming back when we are in the area.
