Great food. I love the breakfast. They have changed their staff and now they are much more friendly.

I popped in to the shop, the obvious fact from observation is its unhygienic, I asked a middle-aged man on the counter why the shop is named shezan catering he didn't bothered answering very rude behaviour.

A hidden gem in the bustling Ilford Lane! From the outside, it may not look like much, but the food is absolutely amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. While the interior could use some updating, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. The lassi was incredible—not just your usual ice cream and yogurt mix, but something truly authentic and flavorful. I tried the Nihari with Puri and Halwa, and every dish was exceptional. Highly recommend making a quick stop here if you’re shopping in Ilford Lane—you won’t be disappointed!

Good food with a back home vibe! Fried fish is amazing along with their samosa chaats. Known the owners for yeaaaaars from when it used to be a car spares shop! Top lads and good food

I came in 16 feb in the shop first time . I ordered chat papri, he charged me £6 . It was so bad . When I open to eat I physically feel sick and throw up. I wasted £6 for disgusting food. Owner of the shop need to understand, please don’t sell disgusting food to people who worked hard for their money . Our money doesn’t grow on tree. I won’t recommend to go any one there .

Worst fry fish, this is fourth time in a row, whenever i eat fry fish straight after next day stomach upset and toilet.

I used Shezan’s catering services for my Dholki and Nikkah event and honestly the food was AMAZING! All the guests were so happy!! We are regular customers at Shezan - food is always tasty and flavourful! Definitely recommend!

Food is good, we tried Haleem and kulcha and chicken biryani but customer service isn’t great to be honest!

Really enjoyed the food, it tested fresh, and seems like they use fine, fresh ingredients. Even the salad sauce and the chilli sauce test freshly made, not like the commercial ready made sauces that you get in other places. I liked the fact that they have a table, which is reserved for families with children , which is very convenient.

Asked for fresh naan guy tried to put all burnt and cold naan in bag when i asked why he did he said go tell boss rude guy will never visit again

Very bad experience! I asked for fresh samosa ; they were not even ready to fry a fresh samosa ! I came from Birmingham just to eat here since i got recommendations; but i guess they have all fake reservation

Avoid this place like the plague. As most comments mention the tall man with the black hat, he is very pushy. We went for a family meal, sat down and he was choosing the menu for us. He wanted us to order the 'Sunday special' kabli pilau. We told him several times we dont want it. Then we ordered haleem and kheer, he bought us large portions without asking us the size. The first bite of kheer, I had a hair in my mouth. We ordered chapli kebabs which looked more like plastic kebabs dripping in oil. No taste at all of any spices. We asked for a spare plate, we were given a wet plate with water on it. When we asked for the bill the tall guy said sit at your table and I will bring it over. When we questioned the amount he got rude with us. We were overcharged by £5. The guy was handling our food with his hands while we were eating. Not at all professional or hygenic. We should have guessed the quality of the food by the empty seats everywhere. Taj Grill is 100 times better place to eat. We came out of this place feeling sick and just prayed we dont get food poisoning. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!

If you wanna try affordable then u may try , their some items are good for eg (fish fry) but other gravy items are oily and tasteless

If you want have truly authentic Pakistani Halwa Puri, along with authentic Pakistani street food style service, then this spot is definitely for you. We went there around noon and ordered 1 set of Halwa Puri that had 3 full size Puris, along with amazing tasting Lahori style Chana, Aalo and halva. I could have had any of these curries on its own as they were that good. Puris are made fresh in a glass enclosed area. The restaurant looks old and a bit run down from outside but it is clean on the inside. The service is quick, efficient and to the point. They have variety of other foods that I would be returning to try. For a set of this breakfast, along with a small cup of tea and a water bottle, I was charged £9, which calculates to a bit more than the actual listed price - which adds to the authenticity I guess, but I would still Highly recommend them for their authentic and great tasting Pakistani food.

I have observed that the staff member known as ‘the Big Face Guy’ lacks basic courtesy when interacting with customers and other humans. It is quite frustrating that, while one is still considering their order, he abruptly instructs customers to proceed inside for payment. I have never encountered such behavior at a catering or Restaurant establishment in all of England. This experience is quite unsettling, and I believe that if employees conduct themselves in this manner, they should reconsider their suitability for this business..

I only wish when you make my samosa chat , do not touch with bare hands and try to squish my samosa for samosa chat ! You’re using tong but why you had to squish my samosa with your hand , which you’re touching everywhere , your nails are dirty! Throwing sauce on samosa chat , while you can put nicely and shouldn’t be made your hand and my chat dirty , you put me off , last time I raised this issue and so many people at shop were agree with me , but today again you did the same thing , STOP TOUCHING FOOD WITH DIRTY HANDS , use tong and fresh gloves , Not glove which you wearing since morning and touching with that glove everywhere, and start making food ! Please when you’re at food station use fresh gloves for customers and make there food with proper hygiene, awful experience! No doubt we like your samosa chat , but please do not put us off. Thanks , I hope your boss will look into this and kindly please bring hygiene up to standards

I usually get boneless chicken Karahi or Karahi gosht always on point& not too spicy, in the winter he does ginger chicken which is really good. Owner is a good guy & very helpful

The food is alright but the staff atmosphere is disgusting

This is the worst restaurant in London. One of the staff, a man with a larger build big face, is incredibly rude and lacks basic manners when speaking to customers. As soon as you approach to place your order, he rushes you, not even giving you time to think about what to order next. He loudly tells you to go and pay inside the shop at the counter. This is no way to treat people. While it’s understandable that they may have had issues in the past with customers not paying, that doesn’t justify treating every customer like they’re going to do the same. All the staff seem trained to speak rudely to customers. I have explained this to Restaurant owner multiple times about staff rudeness but they seem not to bothered Shezan Catering has a strict CAHS-ONLY payment policy. Although they have a CARD payment system, it seems like they prefer CASH PAYMENT to avoid reporting their earnings to HMRC, which is fine, but they seriously need to change their behaviour. They should allow customers time to consider their order and speak respectfully.

Such a worst experiece ever . In the name of mandi they give spicy biryani and the chicken bonless was served in a plate were inasked for bonless karahi. Environment is not good for family.

Their food is amazing, everything tastes so good. I going to this restaurant from last 15 years. Their pilau, chikar cholay and special lamb mandi is awesome. Also kheer is very tasty thick and creamy. Prices are very reasonable as compared to other restaurants. The only drawback I can think of is that they don’t want you to pay by card but they do accept from £10 onwards.

I don’t know how shezan has less stars. Their food is top class, amazing so delicious. The guy who sells kababs and fish pakora in front of the store is amazing. His food is just top rated to me. I’ve had firmi from inside and that’s the best I’ve had , so cheap and tasty.

They should improve their customer service. On one of my previous visits, I used a card payment, but the week after, they refused to take the card payment when I came to collect my order. The owner said the machine was not charged when I pushed for it, as I don't usually keep cash. He very reluctantly put the machine on the charger. After about 5 mins, when I asked how long it would take, he responded in Urdu disrespectfully: "Parhe likhe bande ho, pata ho ga kitni dair lage gi (You look like an educated person, you should know how long it takes to charge the machine). I don't like merchants who don't accept card payments in this age and day. Maybe they want to hide their sales to dodge the taxman, or I don't know.

DO NOT COME TO THIS SHOP!!! The behaviour of the employee (an old man around his 50s) at the front side of the shop was very ill mannered and tried trapping me in their disgusting business technique. I was first told that I could pay by card and was never informed by them that I could only pay by card if my bill was over £10 when my bill was actually under £10, and I was told to pay after I ate so I don’t have any option left but to buy more food to make my bill over £10. They lied to me, were very rude and started verbally abusing me about my ethnical background. I really hope some action is taken in improving customer service instead of deceiving customers, and I absolutely do not recommend anyone to visit this shop.

The food was cold, when I asked to get it heated they said I should just eat it and that it was cooked not too long ago. I asked if the kebab was lamb and he replied by shouting "LAMB!" a dozen times. The lamb kebab had no meat content, very little, mostly onion. Avoid. Nasty place to eat. No hygiene. The waiter was holding my roll with his bare hands.

If you're gonna try their food then only the samosa and chaat are great but more importantly the service is so bad that you would think they are doing you a favour by taking your money and just for that I would not give them my business. Shop is filthy and the equipment clearly needs replacing.

Food is tasty but very unhygienic

The old, fat man in the glass partitioned counter outside is as insolent as he is filthy. I went there this evening and he totally ignored me and many other customers. He was more interested in have a ridiculously loud yelling competition with some people inside the eatery and totally ignored customers. He also used his bare hands to handle the cooked foods and bag them up - utterly unhygienic and not fit for employment. Other reviewers have also witnessed and highlighted the filthy nature of this man in the reviews below. I, therefore, left without eating anything. You should avoid this eatery if cleanliness and hygiene is important to you. Nasty.

Guy serving is very rude with attitude for absolutely no reason, they pick and chose who they let use the card machine in hopes of avoiding VAT, bro needs to learn some customer service. Far better options like Nagina. On a street with so much competition please be nice to your customers. In today’s day and age cash is barely carried, so just let people pay by card lol.

Mr Faisal(inside glass partition in the front) he put naswar( sniff) in his mouth thought his finger and without washing his hands he start making naan and touching the food item. This restaurant always have hygiene issues hence if you told them about it they become offensive and rude staff. Used to go there but this time they are extremely rude and show some sort of attitude and serve the customers disrespectfully as they think they are in India or in Pakistan.

The shop doesn’t look that good, and the toilet condition is always bad. But the food is good. A bit cheaper than around places. Also not good for dine in with big group. Vibe is full desi. I enjoy going there. Chapli kabab, garlic naan, fish masala, lamb curry and channa chaat are my favourite ones there.

One of the greatest halal restaurants in London. very fast service and you can get your food in less then 5 mins if you dine. However the atmosphere isn't that comfortable though, In winter you need to eat your food while shivering.So is think taking away is better.They could also improve on their systems. Instead of accepting cash, they could also accept card.

If you go there, you’ll have a total feeling of eating in a traditional Pakistani restaurant a bit expensive but they have alot of options to Choose from.

These people are so disrespectful they don’t know how to deal with a customer I been there and the person who was standing on the till was so rude and I ask him something and he blatantly ignored me and other person came and I told him so he start swearing at me and keep on yelling and then we didn’t eat there and left. Pls do not go to that restaurant the people are so unprofessional and disrespectful and we are customers and we pay for the food who wants to go this kind of restaurant they have no respect. FIRSTLY : Food is NOT FRESH. They buy food from catering companies and serve after warming up in the microwave. Nothing is actually cooked fresh exept except for the Naan bread. All food is either pre-cooked or half-cooked before being brought to the shop. HYGIENE : VERY POOR! The toilet is messy, the staff clothes sometimes stink. The staff sometimes handle food with hands. CUSTOMER SERVICE : staff is often very invasive in the name of friendliness. I personally had an experience that the staff member was starring at me and actually lost in his own world, which was upsetting and off-putting. CASH ONLY!!! you are in for a surprise if you order your food and realise you don't have cash with you. You got to walk a while to get to a cash point and then when you return. You might find that your food had been sold off because think you wouldn't return.

Initially, the customer service was impeccable with caring staff with a positive can do attitude towards customers. We were treated with utmost respect care and a positive attitude which made the atmosphere a comfortable place to be in. Regarding the food, it was simply amazing with a unique taste not in comparison to other shops. That bulky man who serves on samosa chaat and kebabs outside space is ridiculously rude 😒, and really poor customer services, serves the people he likes first and if you ask to go through the queue he says , " I'm doing whatever I'm feeling easy with" doesn't show any respect for anyone.really disappointed.

I went today morning for had a chnnaa chat but there was a person who was on their staff I don't know his name who was serving chart samosa (clean shave bulky body, small grey and black hairs ) I asked some questions about chaana chat because I went there first time for chat. he said don't ask me question , I don't serve those people who ask questions. Very disappointed customer service.

Kebabl roll are lovely from large juicy sheek kebabs, naans are on the smaller side though. Chicken tikka was a charred nicely and flavorful.

Indians can't eat here. Food was not good. Biryani was worst.

Fried food is nice and all the cheats too but their curries are not that good. In breakfast deal on pooris are nice chana salan taste disgusting.
