Argumentative staff, missing items, food has gone down hill massively since the start of the year!

Had fish and chips with mushy x2 and chips were fine and mushy peas were very nice but both fish were not very flavoursome although were cooked all through so for the money I don't think I'll bother again.

Every time I have food from this place I’m always sick but I always looked the other way thinking it’s probably the kids bought a bug into the house this time the kids are well and so are we I have the food 7 hours later I’m sick I will not ever be returning.

Chips were really bad ! Very dry and must be the most battered potatoes ever !! (cheap) covered in black scabby bits

The shop was about to close and we were desperately hungry. They made a fresh batch of chips for us, which went down really well. Also,a very clean shop. Keep doing what you are doing guys.

Good evening. I ordered from your fish and chip shop with the expectation of enjoying a delicious meal. Regrettably, my experience turned out to be highly unsatisfactory. Firstly, I ordered a fish and chips but I was dismayed to find that I was only provided with half a fish. The portion was significantly smaller than what I have come to expect from your establishment. Furthermore, the chips I received were disappointingly soggy and lacked the crispy texture that is characteristic of a well-prepared serving. This compromised the overall taste and joy of the meal. As a frequent patron of your shop, I had set my expectations high, and it is disheartening to have such a sub-par experience.

Jamie Harvey, whilst we all appreciate the advancements in AI , there is a time and a place to use it, and writing a review for soggy chips and half a fish should have been an easy task , clearly school eluded you as we can clearly tell you don't even know how to spell half those words never mind understand them. Cook your own dinner next time yah sausage.

They tend not to have a lot on the hotplate so most orders are cooked fresh so you might have to wait a little.

One of the better chip shops in Market Drayton, food is always fresh and the guys who work there are all lovely and chatty too!

moved back to the area after a few years and live close to the Sherwood fish and chips and been on several occasions over the last few months and it has never disappointed the chips are always amazing and fresh and the offers available are fantastic value.

They made a mistake of putting mayonnaise on my donner meat, i told him i didn't want it so he went in the back and washed it off. Then dried it off in the microwave it was awful I'll never go in there again

The chips were hard and dry and the sausage had been under the pass/hot hold for ages it was crumpled

Chicken tikka undercooked n gristly, chips are refried. This has now happened many times n will now no longer be returning. Vile chappie, strongly advise to avoid Standards have definitely slipped

Absolutely abysmal meal, had us sat outside waiting for nearly an hour, garlic bread burned to a crisp and they'd put curry sauce on top of the fish so it was soggy, refused to give a refund as well, not again!!

The food from here was 5* way better than l was expecting. Have never been before but it l will be back again soon. Excellent!

Absolutely disgusting I just visited had a fish box the fish is hard and dry and the small sausage looks like it been left in there for ages not fit to eat straight in the bin never again avoid

We went for a late lunch. All cooked fresh to order and you could tell. It was really nice food.

Chicken burger wasn’t real chicken,chips tasted like they’d been re fried and peas tasted stale

Sorry to say but what ever happened to the actual peas in the mushey peas!!! Couldn't be eaten but could be drank. Not good at all.

Usually a great chippy which is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Came in not too long ago, (There was another person serving instead of the usual lady) got a lunch box around £4.50 (Sausage, Fish cake and chips with gravy) and Large chips which was £3.80. No gravy, No sausage, Green and black spots on chips. Quite overpriced, only good thing is generous portion sizes but other than that, as of last time I went I can only say it was horrible. The other chippy in town, Cookies, isn’t any better. I think we need a new chippy in Market Drayton.

Really good chippy with decent turnaround for orders that take a while (my kids love Chicken Nuggets). Friendly staff and easy parking make it a perfect quick food venue.

We just moved to the area and placed a delivery for a pizza, kebab and fish and chips. Unfortunately had to leave a low star review as the pizza came black/burnt, fish batter was soggy and not an ounce of any seasoning. Kebab was nice however

The chips were top quality, the food was fast and cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff and Eco friendly packaging with a paper bag rather than a plastic bag, I have found my new local chippy

The chips were not fresh , large cod was more coating than fish. Also bought fried chicken it was very hard and not tasty . Definitely not a good chippie .

Excellent chips same as rosehill one on the A41.

Had a fish box with gravy and peas wife had lamb wrap, both very good. Will use again.

Called in here one night and the chips were not very nice neither me or my partner enjoyed our meal, would change my review if went back and was nicer but for now I'll go else where.

Great chips and kebab at a great price

Had donner meat in a burger bun and chips in a box. Had to wait for chips to be cooked, really nice and tasty for under £5.00 very filling and struggled to eat it all.

I don't eat chips very often but I really fancied them all day and they did not disappoint, very friendly family that run it ,give it a try x
