Amazing food, quick service and very friendly staff!

Been going to Sheldon’s on a Saturday night, but today had a full breakfast and it was lovely and looked good aswell.

Only called in for a coffee and a Tea Cake. But a nice hot coffee, not luke warm like other places and a nice buttered Tea Cake.

A lovely place to meet friends and have a coffee. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

This was a wonderful find. We were merely looking for a snack with our daughter and granddaughter and stumbled upon Sheldon's. We were able to get a very good, well priced snack for all of us (including our 3 year old granddaughter). They also have a more extensive menu. The atmosphere was very pleasant. It should also be noted that on selected evenings have live music

Other cafes locally were full so decided to try this out. I was aware it has new owners. Greeted by a miserable looking girl with dirty nails and a whole in her t-shirt - we should have known by that! Items we wanted not available and told chicken would be at least a 30 minute wait for it to cook. The server had no idea if they had dairy-free milk. Server refused my son a cake despite me sending him to the counter to order it. The bacon was very poor quality and very undercooked. First and only time we'll be going. No wonder it was empty when we went and other cafes were full. Some serious changes needed!

Excellent food, cake and welcome from the owner, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others, definitely a gem!

This is a lovely little place, but could be so much better. The inside is really nice, good decor, clean, tidy and very appealing. Unfortunately there was limited staff and the service was painfully slow. The food was very average indeed.

Place was a bit quiet to start with, but picked up later, staff friendly and food was cooked to order and very nice.

it’s very pretty inside and the staff were very friendly and funny! :) we felt welcomed and the drinks were nice MAINLY. the only single complaint i have is that the lemon drop (??) mocktail smelt and tasted like vinegar. i don’t know if it’s an acquired taste, but all i personally could taste was vinegar - so that’s my only concern. other than that i really liked it, and would recommend :) 🩷

Open when lots of places weren't out of season so well worth the walk off the seafront. Very child-friendly and comfortable; great options with local produce for all dietary needs and some of the nicest baby-changing facilities I've seen.

What a find! Sheldon’s offer a range of options & The Small breakfast at £4:50 with a decaf coffee appealed to me. The meal was beautifully presented & delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming, the waitress & the owner friendly. She wasn’t surprised by my request for alternative milk, unlike many around Conwy area. The cafe had attractive details like comfortable sofas or a variety of styles of tables & chairs & contemporary decor. There were books to read, games & toys & wifi. I can’t wait to return with friends for coffee & cakes or perhaps a cocktail hour & a snack. I’ve lived in the area for nearly a year, seeking the best place for breakfast. Sheldon’s is top of that list.

What a lovely cafe. Very friendly staff, great coffee and cakes/scones. Definitely recommend to family and friends and we will return again when passing through. Thank you for your cheerful chat to the Australian lady.

I visited with my daughter earlier this week and I was really impressed with the place! A large place with lovely decor and very friendly and efficient staff. The food was so tasty and the loaded fries with chilli were gorgeous. Very reasonable too and they have an excellent menu which includes great food for children. I also liked the 80s music in the background. Summer nostalgia there! They also do amazing cocktails and, on speaking to the manager after our meal, they frequently hold very popular 80s/90s music nights (I think the next one is on the 30th March). Definitely worth checking out!

Came in on a thursday afternoon for a bit of lunch,Oh my ,it was perfect .Just what we needed .Nothing to heavy.Food was spot on and the owners were great to talk to.Lovely charming place to visit .Infact visiting again today with my old school friends👍Can not wait 😊Well done Sheldons ,long may you last.

First visit to this lovely cafe bar , very friendly staff and very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere and great background music. Spotlessly clean in bar and toilets. We had wine and nibbles and sat in lovely leather sofa, so relaxing. Will definitely return to try out the food very soon

It’s a rare treat for us to go out for a local cooked breakfast, and our first opportunity to visit the new Sheldon’s during the school holidays before the pantomime matinee. Two small breakfasts (served on side plates), and a large (?) breakfast with tea for 2 and a kids lemonade, £30. Only three tables occupied, but food took 30 mins and was cold and minimal. So a disappointment really. Was expecting better after seeing social media…

Not from the area but stumbled across for a quick drink before dinner elsewhere. Would definitely return when in the area again. Very nice vibe and reasonably priced drinks.

Popped in here on a wet and rainy weekday, what a fabulously quirky place. Only came in for a coffee, which was lovely, but stayed for lunch and tried the souvlaki. Really nice, friendly place, will definitely be coming back.

Has potential, but has to go. I'll try be a polite and fair as I can be. To be honest we went in as there were limited places open (Monday lunch), we weren't greeted as we arrived and there was only one other couple in the cafe. The place lacks an identity, playing melancholy music, at a level barely audible. The staff lack energy, enthusiasm and a smile. The food is way overpriced, the ploughmans lunch platter for two (£18.95) consisted of 4 rolls of ham, 6 crackers and 2 digestive, a small out of bland cheese, a pot of pickled onions, a pot of picillili and a salad that had been prepared way in advance with dried out slices of cucumber and brown edges on the lettuce leaves. Very disappointing.

A great addition to the cafe scene on Penrhyn Road. Just having a latte and home made cake but it is good to see an extensive menu and the choice of alcoholic drinks if that’s your fancy.

Went for a friend's Hen do, and it has been absolutely phenomenal!!!! Would highly recommend to anyone for a good night out and for the most attentive service. Really considerate staff too!!!

Great cocktails and amazing staff, they couldn't have done much more for us. We were there on a Thursday for happy hour...5-7pm 2 cocktails for £10.

Nice ambience, good seating arrangements for Covid Tables are bookable. Excellent attentive service. As a beer drinker you are not very well served here. Limited niche market blonde, IPA and Lager beers.

A fantastic place to wind down after a busy week. The food is great and especially for me being coeliac would defo recommend to all gluten free peeps. The cocktails are great especially on the 2 for £10 offer.

This wine bar was recommended by the B&B. We managed to book online which was fortunate as the Eat Out to Help Out scheme meant that popular places were booked up in advance. We were able to move to a smaller table after eating so that we could have a few more drinks. The cocktail offer was great and made for a good value evening. The food was very good. We ordered four small plates and bread and olives and it was more than enough for two hungry adults. The bar has a nice decor, relaxed vibe and the staff were very friendly.

We had four plates to share including chicken and squid Came on a Tuesday evening in August Selected cocktails were two for £10 and this presented a reasonable choice and variety. Food very filling and three plates are plentiful Great location right in the heart of town and fully recommend - once down point and that was the weather ...

I love Sheldon's. It has been a long time since I have experienced such a warm and inviting atmosphere in such a comfortable cafe bar. The food was excellent. I had the spicy chicken wings. Plenty of heat but not at the expense of flavour. Fully recommended. Great IPA and a fine selection of wines. I chose the Rioja which was fruity with a dry , blackberry lingering after taste. Sheldon's has been, and will continue to be, my first port of call when I return to Colwyn Bay on a Friday. Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic food and fantastic staff. 5 Stars .

Lovely surroundings, over priced beers. To think you can get a pint of brewdog punk ipa 50 yards away for £2.99 Shelton's charge £4.95 for the same drink. But because they sell so little of it, it tastes stale. Plus there was only 2 people in the place. Try price reductions midweek to help sell more beer so customers don't get stale beer. Other than that I liked the place
