it’s very pretty inside and the staff were very friendly and funny! :) we felt welcomed and the drinks were nice MAINLY. the only single complaint i have is that the lemon drop (??) mocktail smelt and tasted like vinegar. i don’t know if it’s an acquired taste, but all i personally could taste was vinegar - so that’s my only concern. other than that i really liked it, and would recommend :) 🩷

I visited with my daughter earlier this week and I was really impressed with the place! A large place with lovely decor and very friendly and efficient staff. The food was so tasty and the loaded fries with chilli were gorgeous. Very reasonable too and they have an excellent menu which includes great food for children. I also liked the 80s music in the background. Summer nostalgia there! They also do amazing cocktails and, on speaking to the manager after our meal, they frequently hold very popular 80s/90s music nights (I think the next one is on the 30th March). Definitely worth checking out!

Having only visited for drinks, we thought we would give the breakfast a try. At £6 for a small breakfast which included sausage bacon hash brown egg and a choice of either tomato beans or mushrooms and a round of buttered toast, we loved it and it was ample and very tasty. We will definitely be going again to try the rest of the menu and keep our local businesses supported.

Lovely food and very friendly staff, will defo go back, nice relaxing place in the town centre , very clean nice to see the place open again

We stopped off at Sheldons as a family of 5 post the mountain zoo and it was just lovely! Great service, ambience, fresh food with good ingredients in a beautifully decorated wine bar esque environment with a deliciously cold white wine. Perfect! Well behaved children welcomed with a friendly smile and the opportunity to enjoy a more adult meal with you children.

Very impressive bar with a good selection of craft beers and cocktails. The Charcuterie Platter was excellent, plenty for two and the vegan platter was also well received. Great atmosphere and can highly recommend.

I’ve been here plenty of times in the evenings for drinks, but today we came for lunch with our children. It was the perfect antidote to a cold, rainy Sunday. The food was delicious, particularly the fish chowder and also the small plate options which are great for sharing. Oh, and the chunky chips were spot on! Highly, highly recommended.

I loved this place, what a lovely friendly welcome when we arrived, the young gentleman who took our orders was so friendly. And nothing too much trouble. We had lovely food, and the 3 small bites (definetly not small) for £10 were fantastic, and so well presented.Will definetly return in the very near future.

Visited after having a meal at the Pen y Bryn, we had a taxi down for £1 each. Great drinks selection & a nice place to end the night after a meal!

Popped in for a few cocktails, very tasty and decided to order a selection of the food, excellent and a varied selection most enjoyable and would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area

Visited Shelton’s for a late lunch ,lovely venue and nice staff ,love tapas and was looking forward to my visit , but in my opinion the tapas were out of freezer , so unnecessary ,sad to say the best part of the meal were the chips !!

Nice place for a Sunday evening out with friends - and not many places are open!Nice range of beers - local and more mainstream - and lots of choice in other drinks too.We had a bit of chat with the bar staff and had a lovely evening.We live locally and would visit more if they allowed our dogs in too - many other places in Colwyn Bay do, but not Shelton’s - so it’s an infrequent drinks venue for us.

Stylish bar serving great food and a wide range of drinks including cocktails. Comfortable surroundings and friendly and efficient staff. Can recommend the steak. Melt in the mouth. I asked for rare and it was cooked to perfection. This has certainly become one of our "go to" places when we are in Colwyn Bay.

Visited for the first time tonight. A warm welcome from friendly and attentive staff. We were driving so just had a glass of wine which went very well with the steak and chips - it was Steak Night - we had a delicious steak served attractively on a slate board. The list of cocktails looks amazing. We may need to line up a taxi home next time. A lovely place for a great evening out.

A lovely local treasure, where the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Food is amazing and very reasonably priced and delicious. There is choice for everyone from light bites to vegan. Jodie is the manageress and gives fantastic customer service. They have an excellent selection of drinks available and where possible they locally source from the area. My husband and I recommend here for a little bit of luxury that doesn't break the bank.

Family dinner, Thursday night Steak Night. Great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. Well worth a visit.

This is the place to be in up and coming Colwyn Bay. The lighting in the evening is fantastic both outside and inside. Warm and friendly. We just had drinks ,a bit on the expensive side, to be fair but on the hole worth it, for the experience. Will return and try the food. Which looked good.

Myself and husband have been a couple of times for a Saturday afternoon lunch date and really enjoyed the food. Today we had the charcuterie sharing platter which was well presented with a good selection of meats and cheeses and plenty of it. Nice to see some unusual beers for those of us who don't do gin! Would be nice to see a dark guest ale at some point. Definitely worth a visit.

my friend and I went early pm. we selected from the menu, my friend had the duck leg and hoisin and I had the fishcakes. We were both disappointed with the portion size. I fel that it was more of a starter size than a main meal. My friend enjoyed the pudding, I had to order fries extra due to the size of the portion. Excellent and attentive service and pleasant surroundings.

The food was very delicious and filling. The furniture was very comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxing. I had the leek and Brie tartlet which I really enjoyed. Lots of good vegetarian and vegan options.

Took meal from specials board at £5, very hot, tasty and a good bowl full. We were sitting by the window and radiator it was quite warm and the music was rather loud, the waitress/manager kindly turned down the music and switched off the radiator. My friend had the fish cakes which were tasty and full off different fish. However, the pickle was rather spicey. Sitting where we did found it a little intimidating as the desk was right next to us with the lady sitting at it all the time, perhaps should have found a different table.

Been going to Sheldons with my partner since the opening night. Never once have I been disappointed. The food is delicious! The cocktails are amazing and so creative.The Staff are so friendly. Will always go the extra mile. The customer service is the best by far. Much better than the icy atmosphere in Briggs. I will not be going back there any time soon! Well done to all the team at sheldons! You've created something special!

Been a couple of times, on both occasions I have been very impressed with the service and the food. The food is fresh and delicious. The place is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly and pleasant. Will definitely visit again. I highly recommend this place. I believe they have life music too on a Sunday which makes a refreshing change.

Absolutely Love this little bar! Sheldon's is the perfect venue to relax and enjoy a few gins with friends and family ❤️ staff are always welcoming and extremely helpful. The Amaretto sours are amazing! As are all the gins! ( I have kindly tried and tested them and can safely say they are excellent)So get your toosh down to Sheldon's for a few drinks, don't be boring.

I’ve been coming here regularly since it opened, never been disappointed. The bar is tastefully decorated and the staff are friendly and more than willing to accommodate. Choices of drinks are great I love the cocktails especially. The food platters are simply to die for, just delicious and plenty of choice. I’d highly recommend this place the atmosphere is great especially when the live music is on.

Excellent service. The bar staff are friendly and helpful and the decor really stands out. There's a very good selection of beers and ales, including some locally sourced ones which are excellent (Snowdon IPA) The food is excellent and great value. I've been there a couple of times recently and it has never disappointed. I'm always made to feel welcome, A lot of thought goes into the food, and its obvious that the chef takes a lot of pride in her work, and it reflects in the quality of the food. The chicken wings are the best I've ever had, and the Kofte kebabs are also highly recommended! I've usually just popped in for some food after work, but I do intend on taking friends there very soon!

I have visited Sheldon's 4 times now, all at different times of the day. My first time was with a friend and we had the most amazing relaxing evening with all cocktails made fresh and delicious. Have also popped in for a drink after work and also come for a lunch date with my 7 year old where the food was delicious and presentation fab. All staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere always good and decor is amazing. Looking forward to going again this month

Popped in for a pint and had a lovely Peaches and Cream. That was nice but the Nikka Whiskey nightcap was amazing!

Visited Shelton’s and was very disappointed. The craft lager Was off and the mojito we ordered had far too much lime in it which completely dominated all the other flavours could not taste the mint at all. To add to the experience the bar staff also spilt a drink over me and the open mic night was very disappointing, an example of this was a women singing while reading the lyrics from her iPhone? The bar seems to be conflicted between being upscale wine bar and open mic slam bar

Persuaded friends to meet me here ,they ordered 3 pints of IPA, the bill came to £18 , the were disappointed with the price ,such a lovely venue but they said they would not be visiting there again

It’s nice and modern deconstructed quirky decor. Bit young, noisy and pricey for me. Load of platters mysteriously appeared on our table which weren’t ordered. I’d not criticise the quality of staff, food or drink but personally it’s not my sort of place

1 beer and a single gin and lemonade £12, last time I will be here. Lovely bar but not worth the prices

My partner and I live in CB and have recently discovered this fabulous little gem. We had some tapas and little meals of lamb kofta, calamari, chicken wings and chowder! It’s was all fantastic, lovely food and very well priced. We also had cocktails after. This place is brilliant. The couple sat beside us told us the Duck and Plum sauce is the next thing we should try. Only opened new but I am very impressed and will definitely be back

I’ve visited here a few times now and it is firmly my favourite bar in the area. Great decor, really friendly staff and an excellent choice of wines, gins and local beer. There seems to be a really mixed customer base which makes for a great atmosphere. Looking forward to trying the food, the cheeseboards look delicious!

Popped-by last weekend, having read all about it on the internet.Have been meaning to write sooner, but it's been a hectic week.Anyhow. What a fabulous addition to Colwyn Bay.Well located in a street where similar ventures are sited, there is a welcoming feeling even before entering the place.The original vintage frontage presents well, and this continues when stepping through the front door.It was very busy, on what I thought would be a quiet night. Two days before N.Y.E. However, managed to squeeze onto the end of a table, and was made to feel welcome by both staff and customers alike.As busy as it was, didn't have to wait long to get served at all, and the bar was heaving.Probably enjoyed too much of the amazing hospitality, and hope I didn't out-stay my welcome. Such pleasant staff, couldn't fault them.The bar manager, I apologise for forgetting her name, knew her stuff for sure.I asked for the best Brandy in the house and was served up a glass of liquid heaven. Certainly, the Brandy was expensive, but no more than such quality would command.Oh, I forgot to mention, prior to that, I did enjoy a liquid journey through the wine list. I particularly enjoyed the fine Garnacha, even though my pronunciation caused some confusion amongst the noise of a busy bar.It looked like there was facility for live music too. Through the crowded room I recall seeing a microphone on a stand against the wall. It looked like the sort of venue where a small musical act could go down well. I could well imagine being here in the summer, sipping some Rioja and listening to a Mariachi or two playing some Flamenco. Though, I don't think Karaoke would be the sort of thing to be found here.

This is a great addition to Colwyn Bay and its fab to see some decent bars popping up. It is a little over priced and the shape of the place doesn't lend itself to a great atmosphere but the staff are efficient, and mix a good G and T

Good addition to Colwyn Bay it's just a shame the service is so slow also the owners look more interested in socialising than helping out and serving people.

A lovely bar with a great ambience. We were very pleased to find an extensive selection of gins and cocktails which we highly enjoyed working our way through. We shared some of the platters and were particularly impressed with the tasty pate and chutneys. We also had waitress service which was a nice touch. Definitely worth a visit.

We went to celebrate my daughters graduation midweek, but booked a table for 8 people. We arrived at 7.15 and the place had a few people in we ordered the first round of drinks, my husband very uninspired by the lager as the two they have on draft are in his opinion awful, may be a premium lager would be a better idea, however he polished off a bottle half of a reasonably priced wine instead. All our party arrived and we got told at 8 o clock if we wanted food kitchen was closing so order straightaway ?? So we hurried up and ordered. In my opinion the menu is very average pretty boring really. The place is very nice and cry’s out for may be some tapas dishes that you can just pick and share at as it’s not a restaurant it’s a drinking place. Easy to do and more the type of thing customers want. Half way through the night they ran out of the three types of gins that my party were drinking, pretty poor really as they are the most popular ones surely a bar should have a spare bottle in stock. The staff did the best under the circumstances difficult for them when everything is running out, they were very pleasant. This bar is very welcome in the Bay and once they get past opening issues I am sure it will be a success.

Visited with a group of friends. Good to see a new Bar open in Colwyn Bay. Very nicely refurbished with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Ideal for a pre or post dinner drink.

Colwyn Bay has been lacking somewhere you can go to relax in peace to have a drink.This is a real trendy bar with a great atmosphere and very clean. Background music was at right level.We went in an afternoon and it was waitress service. Place was very busy.Drinks menu is very extensive and not too expensive with numerous wines and cocktails. Great pint of Snowdon Lager was really at its peak.Staff were absolutely brilliant, so much better than miserable woman next door at Briggs. Got talking to lady (Manageress?) and asked her if we could buy a Snowdon glass and she obliged gratis. So good we stayed for an extra round of drinks.Will definitely go back.

I came here with my wife on the opening night. It is set out really well and the staff are happy and serve you with a smile and happy to have a chat. The bar is quite big and has some unique qualitys. There is a great choice of ales and plenty of other drinks if your strange and don't like ale ;) will visit again soon
