This place is an embarrassment for anyone who is Ethiopian or Eritrean. Terrible customer service. The ambiance is way less than desirable. It is true that they seem to not want any business. The only reason to go here is if it’s the closest Ethiopian food and for a quick fix. The food quality is edible at the best.

The best Ethiopian restaurant in Athens. Great service, shiro to die for, and sometimes they even have kotsho to accompany the kitfo :)

Been to this place in late December 22 and was surprised by the quality of Kitfo and awaze tibs. This place is a cafe but the food quality can easily put some of the proper restaurants to shame. Customer service requires attention. The lady was doing the cooking, serving and comes sorts out bills behind the till leaving diners un attended for a long period of time.

Good Caffè but always with different quality. The lady owner acts very weird, close 2having a "Bipolar syndrome" which makes the whole thing terrible. The order and service process is very slow as well. All in all, good potential but way too bad in terms of service.

I have tried ethiopian food in various places but Sheger Cafe exceeded my expectations. It was tasty and portion was good, service was friendly and it did not take too long. Ethiopian beer was well priced and overall I had a very positive experience. I will be back for sure.

Literally one of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten and I've tried A LOT of food from around the world. I had the veggie option and got 4 or 5 different things (a lentil dish, beetroot dish, etc.) with injera. Will definitely be back!

Very bad I asked for we Xpresso she served it to me with a broken cup.when I asked her to change it she replied that all the cups are the same. Impolite.

First time I visit "Sheger Cafe" and really enjoyed it. Traditional Ethiopian food is served here and there were vegetarian / vegan options as well. The interior designer is unique and totally friendly environment too. 😋💚

Authentic food!! Me and my wife go quite often and the food is always great. The mum and daughter are always welcoming and freindly. If you want authentic food then this is the place to be.
