Shanghai Take-Away Chinese Food in East Lindsey

first time we have tried shanghai takeaway, we had the salt and pepper munchy box,would highly recommend.

Great food, fast service and fair prices!

Would rate the food a -5 if possible. Rice was dodgy, had the texture of a spat out race. The chicken was still alive and cold yet the batter was dripping with god knows what. The only thing that was nice is the free plastic tub that comes with the rice and the store bought fortune cookies. I would only recommend it if you like a visit to the hospital.

Nice food. Much better than anything else available in all of skegness. Worth travelling to.

1st time trying and would definitely recommend. Had: Chicken Chow Mein Beef Curry Egg Fried Rice Seaweed S&S Chicken Balls (bag of 10) Pancake Roll (1) BBQ Spare Ribs 2 x Salt n pepper Munch Box (Reg) All tasted lovely, food ready in less than 10mins. Only negative was the pancake roll and chicken balls are smaller than our usual. Munch box pic looks smaller than it is. £64 for 6 of us so roughly £10pp

Chips were soggy but nice, special egg fried rice bland and no other meat apart from chicken. Satay chicken was bland , no flavour, not the worst I’ve had but certainly not even near the top. BBQ spare ribs were minus the BBQ and dry. I think the prawn toast lost the prawns, in fact gained a chicken as they tasted more chicken then anything else and to finish it off the beef chow main had a special extra ingredient with a hair !!! We can safely say we won’t be eating there again !!

amazing food great portions best in fantasy island

Our first time trying, we had Singapore chow mein ,sweet and sour chicken balls, deep fried chilli beef, egg frid rice and salt and pepper chips. We absolutely enjoyed all dishes, would definitely recommend 👌

Not bad portions could be more for what was paid. No prawn crackers offered during meal. Restaurant side slightly dated could do with modernising.

Popped in en route back to our caravan. Ordered from the lunchtime menu and for £6.50 each we got a hot serving of chicken curry and egg fried rice and chicken Chow Mein , which remained hot right to the end of the plate. Generous portions, great value and pleasant customer service. Definitely recommend a visit.

Poor quality and very expensive not very friendly

This place just isn't good. The attitude of staff as they're just not friendly. The food I had tonight was just horrible. The first meal from any Chinese I'd had to throw in the bin ever. Waste of money. I asked for Cantonese chicken thinking it was the chicken in batter with sauce & veg but it was just chicken in sauce & veg. I didn't feel like the man taking the order wanted to talk to me when I asked what the dish was so I ended up with something I didn't want. The chicken was horrible, really tough & chewy. The egg fried rice had a burnt taste to it. Won't go there again.

They have a lunchtime special board from 1.00 till 6.00,ex value and great taste,in my opinion best for value and flavour, Curry tastes like curry

don’t even try ordering from this place, pretty sure the phone number on all their pages is wrong because i’ve tried ringing over and over and it either doesn’t ring, or the number is incorrect or unrecognised. don’t know how you’re supposed to have a chinese takeaway delivery restaurant if you can’t even take calls

We eat hear when we're on holiday, reminfs me of a traditional chop suey house good food,.no frills, a d decent price.

Best Singapore rice noodles and satay chicken skewers I've ever had. I travel a lot and have had many takeaways - best one yet. Highly recommended - you won't be disappointed. Thank you.

Lovely Chinese..definitely recommend

We had a less than satisfactory experience at this place. The woman who worked there was quite rude and the food was just okay, not the best. Overall, it was not a memorable experience.

We had beef curry egg fried rice sweet and sour chicken balls chips and prawn crackers. It was the best we've had in a long time.

Hello we were in Skegness fantasy island 🏝 family day,and we said let’s go to Shanghai Chinese restaurant and get some food 🥘.omg this palace got amazing 🤩 food we love it 😍.the following day we went there and take away more my kids love it 😊 that’s why I recommend. Staying at butlins caravan site,looking for a Chinese near by,found the shanghai and was amazing and cheap too,alot cheaper than I pay in my local Chinese...I would recommend

Not the best nut certainly not the worst. Curry and satay were nice but tasted sweet.

Lovely good old fashioned Chinese food.

Only stayed for a 5 day break but when we had food from here it was that good and that tasty we had another take away from here the night after. Very friendly and helpful staff and food prepared very quickly whilst you wait. Definitely advise anyone visiting to have food from the Shanghai.

Would not have given this take away one star meals wrong. Raw onions in meal boiled mushroom's. Horrible satay sauce. Wouldn't recommend to anybody be warned.

Didn't take long to get our order ready, they were busy and it took approximately 10 minutes. Large chips was enough for 3 of us, not bad at all.

Ordered to a caravan on golden sands, ingoldmells. Good food. Tasted great. Good prices Certainly not a bad Chinese by far!. Personally I found the sauce in my chicken chop suey and beef n mushrooms a little watery compared to my local Chinese, it was drinkable. and my ribs were in the same box as my chicken satay skewers which impaired the flavour of the ribs as they were covered in satay sauce which was ashame.
