Shanghai Blossom in South Lanarkshire

I ordered a lot from shanghai blossom and it was great. But ever since that closing period and then re opening they have getting items on my order wrong and they have been late several times when they website says the order is with the driver. Example: screenshotted page saying the delivery time is 19:45pm. Order is now with yiur driver. Its now 20:11. No food...and we are 10 minutes walk down the road.

Sunday 28th Dissapointed got chicken satay omg 4 skewers the chicken very dry and chewy actually wasted my dinner could tell chicken wasn't just bbq'd slightly warm obviously pre cooked. Missing curry sauce .

Always lovely meal. Quick service and staff friendly. Good choice, everything I've had was great.

When I want to eat Chinese cuisine, I visit here. It is a nice takeaway store, which I love.

We waited over 2 hours for delivery and when it finally arrived the food was cold and sweaty as if it had been in the car for ages. Rude staff when phoned to chase up the order. I have eaten here regularly over the years, but I'll never be back. Ways far too long a wait, but normally worth it. Never again.

Placed an order on Just Eat at 6pm, still not arrived at 8pm. Cheeky so and so's marked it off on Just Eat as delivered at 7:15 when it was supposed to be delivered. After repeatedly asking where the order was told that (and I quote) "we are too busy and I can't help you". Asked for a refund and then told again nothing that they can't. Please be warned ⚠️ and don't use them. Charlatans.....

Fantastic place Specially on a Friday lunchtime they have a great lunchtime deal. Great service Great food and good quantity for quality prices. Staff are kind friendly and welcoming

Food is decent only thing that lets them down majorly is the delivery times ⏰ absolutely abysmal last 2 occasions it’s been almost an hour late and when I phone to ask “it’s just getting made” ….WHAT 2hrs after I order it!!!

We order from Shanghai Blossom regularly always allowing for the 1-1.5 hours for delivery as they always seem to take a long time. Wanting food a bit quicker tonight thought we would order and pick up the food. After ordering and agreeing a time 1 hour in advance for uplift, arrived at the take away and along with many other disgruntled members of the public proceeded to wait a further 30 minutes on the food to be prepared. Unfortunately albeit the food tastes good, the service from Shanghai Blossom is ridiculous. We will no longer be ordering from this take away and would strongly recommend that unless you have all night to wait on food that you don’t buy from here. 😡

Been ordering from Shanghai Blossom for a while, foods always been great only ever had 1 late delivery which was cold but got a free meal to replace it. Only Chinese place I order from now.

Slow service woman doesn't even speak English expensive

Ordered salt and chilli chicken and was asked “pieces of strips” - we thought that was in reference to size but strangely meant battered or unbattered. I went back to the shop to ask to change it and if I could also get my chips a bit more flavour. The woman told me it was cause I took too long to collect it. Then said she would only change it this one time as she seen I opened it. Bad service and bad tasting food too

Please improve on your customer service. The lady who takes the phone orders needs to be aware that your customers are from different nationalities and be patient and friendly over the phone. My experience on the phone wasn't pleasant! Ordering online was great and hassle-free. The food was lovely as well.

I love the yuk sung, however, to be charged 3 pounds extra for a little hoisin sauce to spread on the lettice is daylight robbery! Also disappointing attitude from female on front desk. Not be back!

Used to be great place... not any more. Not able to give ingredients when asked about allergy information. Ordered food for vegan family member... item had pork in it... No refund given when trying to return food item... instead I got the blame for not telling rude staff member on phone "no pork"? - (double checked menu and app, no ingredients listed on that either.)

Avoid! We ordered tonight and our order has just arrived after an hour wait! It’s arrived without the sauce. We now have ten chicken balls and fried rice with zero sauce!!!! I phoned down and the girl was rude and said even though we had asked for sweet and sour chicken balls we should have confirmed it twice as she was unsure if it was just the balls or not. She hasn’t offered to resend the sauce or offer any amends. Plenty of Chinese take aways I’ll go to….horrendous service

I've picked up a stomach bug. I had a meal from here 2 days ago. No way to tell for sure if it was from here. Tell you this though, lm off takeaways for now. The meal seemed fine and l did enjoy it maybe its just coincidence

Since I moved to South Lanarkshire and found this Chinese I've not went anywhere else. I've tried alot, and this is without doubt the best one I've had. Nothing off the menu has dissapointed. I would highly recommend to anyone. The quality of the food is amazing and very good prices.

The food is good but unfortunately they cannot keep to a delivery schedule meaning you are waiting at least an hour and a half for your food to arrive, and when you phone them direct they are rude and brush you off, disappointing.

Poor experience with this Chinese unfortunately, the main dish, a beef curry, was forgotten and not included, something that I can understand making a simple mistake like this though the service that followed was the real shocking part, hard to get through on phone lines and only to an extremely rude woman who never offered any apology and attempted to shift the blame onto myself claiming that this was an impossible error to make and that they never, no apology from the delivery driver either when the curry eventually turned up, overall very poor experience.

Best Chinese I have had in years and I get take away at least once a week 😔 food was cooked well. Tasted perfect. Arrived within the time advised by just eat. This was all under £25 and fed 3 hungry adults and was loads left over. Two of us had two plates full. Really tasty and will use this restaurant again!!!

As always the food tastes great. However waited 2 hrs for a delivery on just eat. I know remember why I stopped using this place. They tell you a delivery time and then they change it and change it and when you do call them they lie to you about when it was on its way. Just really really poor

Take too many orders. Phone for a pick up order they give you a time to come. You arrive ques out door and nobody serving. Waited 20 minutes to be served and walked out won't be back.

Excellent takeaway! Me and my partner ordered quite a few things so I won’t go into detail with each dish however they were all tasty, had a lot of spices and flavour in addition to good portion sizes. Also Shanghai Blossom were very generous giving 2 large spring rolls and prawn crackers for free along with our order. Will definitely order here again. Thank you :)

Order was really early but it wasn't that warm. The curry sauce is terrible it's one you can buy in local stores. Could do better myself purly honest. Everything was okay... as in okay. But owner needs to check the reviews and take into consideration of ALL customers. Wont order again. I would say its dramatically went down hill. 👎

got salt and chilli chips and chicken balls, chips were solid, next to no chilli on them and as for the chicken balls, solid on the outside and tasteless, maybe its time this shop owner went for training or even changed the oil once in a while, well below average food at above average prices, wont be back to this dump

This is the standard that every Chinese takeaway should strive to achieve. The food took an hour and 40 mins to come after ordering off justeat but I’m saying it was excellent anyway. I can understand why it’s so busy on a Saturday night for sure! Everything we had was delicious - vegetable chow mein, vegetable satay, spring rolls and especially the salt and chilli onion rings. It was excellent value and I can honestly say this is the best Chinese I’ve had in a couple of years. Highly recommend and will definitely try it again if I’m back in Hamilton.

Had the worst MSG headache EVER after eating from here, so won’t be using again after this latest experience. On each occasion I have ordered takeaway from here, it is consistently around 15 minutes later than time indicated.

Ordered fried rice chips chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce took 2 hours and a half to get to my house!! Then when it eventually got here it was COLD!! And also didnt get my chicken balls my order was about 15 pounds and phoned back up to tell them what had happend and was no sorry! And said i could get chicken balls delivered in 20 mins bareing in mind i have the rest of my food which will be freezing when they get here and he then said i will phone you back now and have had no call back to explain what’s happening with my order and when i phone the shop i have no answer would defo not recommend this Chinese!!!!!!

Started ordering food from here. Seems very good quality and never fails to impress. A varied menu with decent choice to suit everyone.

A vast selection of Chinese cuisine and desserts, all you can possibly eat,it is a very popular place to go in groups, birthday celebrations etc. Worth a visit,nice friendly staff and very clean,try it sometime,you won't be disappointed.

We have struggled to find a decent Chinese takeaway in the area as often there is very little Chinese in the food on offer. Realistically this place is probably in the same league as many other takeaways however I would point out some differences which bring us back; . They offer authentic Cantonese dishes such as crispy noodles. It tastes good too! . Deep fried dofu is delicious! . I’m a sucker for Chinese curry and they seek to have it perfected There’s more they could do to market themselves. I would argue that they’re good is more authentic and tasty than most of the sit down restaurants in the area (we’ve tried them!)

I never get fed up with the food from this place. It is the best would highly recommend the Singapore noodles they are fantastic.

I've had the same experience as Andrew, We used to phone our order before collection but they don't start making it until you arrive an pay for it. Not sure why they take orders for collection over the phone at all, food is great though.

I have used this outlet for takeaway deliveries 3 times in the past 6 weeks. The first two orders took 45mins to an hour to be delivered. I placed an order tonight and was informed it would also take 45 mins to 1 hour. This is not an ideal timescale, but it did seem the norm for Shanghai Blossom. However after waiting for 2 hours (and still no delivery) I cancelled my order and will not be using Shanghai Blossom again in the future. I had been informed more than 30 mins earlier that my order was with the delivery driver (I live less than 10 mins walk from the restaurant) therefore I can only assume all food would have been cold on delivery. I note previous reviews mention unacceptable delays from this restaurant but I decided to form my own opinion, which unfortunately is that I will never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone else.

Food is fine however you'll have at least a 15 minute wait when collecting despite ordering online. I think they wait until you turn up to start cooking.

I placed an order at 7.30 pm through the Just Eat app, then found out after I'd paid for my order that the delivery time was 8.45 pm! An hour and 15 minutes to wait for dinner! Would you wait this long? Don't think I'll be using the Shanghai Blossom or the Just Eat app ever again! Totally pointless!

Delighted to find this gem of a takeaway in central Hamilton. Chinese takeaways can be v hit and miss but so far so good with this one. We've ordered 4 or 5 times now and have been happy with the food on each occasion. - crispy noodles - Peking duck - Chinese king prawn curry - chow mien All delicious!

I stop by most times I visit family in the area the food is very good and the thai dishes are authentic wii be visiting again very soon

All I ever get in this takeaway is a Malaysian beef satay with crispy noodles as it is absolutely fantastic. The satay sauce is to die for. Highly recommend.

First time users of this take away driven past it many times and decided with the lack of parking we would get a delivery when the food came we were short of a chip portion I rang down and the chips were with us within 15 mins food was very good really enjoyed it apart from the hiccup with the chips would still recommend and use the Shanghai Blossom again.
