Fantastic curry, full of flavour, would highly recommended, we had a special madras. Chicken Balti and Chicken Tikka Masala

We usually order from Bombay Sizzler in Hope, but as they are closed at the moment tried Shamol Tandoori instead. Definitely will not order from there again. For starters it was more expensive than Bombay Sizzler, no online discount and a £2 delivery charge. We ordered 3 different curries, which were OK, just! I ordered a Peshwari (coconut) naan bread. I’m not sure what arrived it just had two huge lumps of curry paste under the top surface of the bread and not a flake of coconut in sight. Ended up in the bin. Tried to contact them via their website but didn’t receive any response.

Fourth takeaway from Shamol this past couple of months, and the food has been consistently very good each time. Highly recommended. Had the (very British) chicken tikka masala tonight and was exactly what I hope it would be. The chicken was ever so slightly charred on the edges, perfect, and very tender. JP.

We've been using Shamol for a few years and Every meal has been delicious. The strength of some of the curries seems to depend on which chef is working but they all taste great.

Have been here a couple of time’s now, was recommended by a family member. Really nice meal and on time when picking it up...will visit again

We have used this take away several times and had no complaints.Our order tonight of Chicken Tikka Pathia and Mixed Jalferezi with papadoms chutney etc was delivered 20 minutes early and was delicious,looking forward to what was left tomorrow . Thank you

We USED to be regular customers, until having to chase an order that I waited for over an hour for. I was then told that the driver had been calling the number and ringing the doorbell which is absolute rubbish as it’s a quiet road and I was listening and watching out for the driver. Seems the delivery is shocking in general, I normally collect. Avoid the company, spend your money with a reputable take away company instead.

The blandest indian food i've ever had. Quite simply yuk. Avoid and don't even waste your money. Went and collected. Glad we did after reading the reviews on their delivery service. Wow ! And these guys do this for a living, astounding.

Have ordered from here over the last two years. Online order surpassed the 65 minutes we were given. Both special curries ordered had no heat to them whatsoever . sundries all fine. Such a dissapointment having spent 25 pounds and tipping driver 😞

We ordered 4 Naan kebabs, not the first time as we have had them before and they were very tasty and good value for money. We noticed there was a new Menu and the prices had increased from £5 to £6. We still ordered as we have had them before and was tasty. We was VERY VERY Disappointed with the kebabs, we had 3 chicken tikka naan kebabs and it was like spot the chicken, if was full of salad????? A couple of pieces of chicken if we were lucky, and because they put lettuce and tomato in it all we had was water coming out of the kebab it was Awful the worst and most disappointing kebabs we have ever had, all 3 of them. Pay more get less The kebabs they used to sell was full off chunky chicken and just fried onions no salad which was much better. I will definitely not be going here again and I would not recommend there chicken kebabs more like veggie salad kebabs. Disappointing and a waste of £24.

If you want tasty food then this is worth a visit. I'm a HGV driver and travel around the country a lot. I've tried many takeaways but this place has got to be one of the best I've had.

A large choice of delicious starters, main courses and side dishes. Set meals also great value with good portions. We use it regularly (and would like to use it even more often !)

I enjoyed a family takeway order from this establishment. Good good quality, tasty, not greasy and reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend.

Buena comida, pero siempre os cobrarán (si es por pollo tikka en vez del pollo que querías, o agregando otra £1 en la factura). Incluso cuando el personal juro que es el ciego el precio correcto (a pesar del menú diciendo lo contrario). Odio de estafar así no vamos de nuevo, ya que no era la primera vez.

Food freezing cold ,took 2hrs to come not all order arrived,no taste,spoilt a family get together.when phoned said we hadnt order no receipt.Never again .The only thing that was hot was the phall.

Este sitio necesita cerrarse en mi opinión sincera. Pedimos comida para llevar el sábado 6/12/2015. A las 22:00 horas. Que nunca me lo entregaron a la aldea correcta ( estamos a unos 900 metros y siga 2 millas de distancia ¿ ?. Orden llegamos muy fría ( a pesar de garantías de los conductores 2 X!??? Que sería caliente como él tenía calefacción prendida en coche). Prometió reembolso si las comidas frías. Nos quedamos con ganas de comidas, sin embargo las comidas eran como el hielo!!!. Hacía mucho frío y una orden fue entregado equivocado. Pedimos pollo Tikka, nos dieron Lamb Tikka ¿ ?. Cordero muy duro que no se podía cortar y probado y no fresco. Nos mantenían piezas para las autoridades de salud y comunicó el orden equivocada y hechos hacía frío para personal de comida para llevar. Los idiotas entrega entonces una comida de sustitución en 23:35!!! , ¿Quién quiere que después de la comida horrible que era frío y unediblbe ?. El personal de nuevo nos aseguró de reembolso completo de £22.00 . El personal nos dio una nota caso diciendo que se le reembolsará en unos meses?. que hacer esos ladrones creo que son? . Este es el robo!!!. se recomienda que tenga la amabilidad de darnos tierra prometida restitución, se dieron abusivo e insultos en nosotros. Así que nos han informado a normas de comercialización y las autoridades de salud y la policía. Ver cómo les gusta ese servicio !!. Evitar Ts estafadores como de la peste.

Ordered a takeaway and told will be 1 hour, 2 hours later after 2 follow up phone calls of being told driver has left it finally arrives. Pappadoms all smashed and a chicken curry contained items that were not listed on the menu (prawns, lamb, potatoes and lots of chillies) which made it virtually impossible for my partner to eat as she not like hot curries. Partner then ill all next day/cross contamination of foods and cooking dishes? Definitely not use this place again and have thrown the menus in the bin. Only positive was they knocked about £4 off the price

Ordered a delivery and we were told one hour which is ok.....two hours later still nothing so called them and they said they will be there shortly...half an later they arrive with no apology or explanation, needless to say we declined.

Never had a bad meal from here always on time I recommend the Shamoli Starter or the Chicken Chat Lovely

Have had a takeaway from here quite a few times in the last few months and it's always been very good. The set meal is really good very for money. Food and service is good with no complaints. Would recommend!

Fabulous food but let down every time (3 times) on delivery time. I book a delivery time in advance and every time it is one hour late. Very disappointing.

I love having food at this takeaway . I constantly have mixed Mean Vindaloo and Pasanda style food here. Worth the money , i would reccomend . This takeaway has never dissapointed me , with its indian cuisene . Whenever i eat indian i always come here

I have been all over the world eating Indian food including Bombay as it was then and this was the best I have had by far. Sheek Kebab as starter for both of us with Raita was delicious followed by Chicken Korma for my wife and Mixed Meat Vindaloo for myself with pappadom and peshwari naan. At £30 including delivery was good value and also piping hot.

Been having shamol takeaways for about 2 years now it is always consistently good. Please note that they are busy as it is popular so you will have to wait about an hour for delivery on a takeaway but we always think it is worth the wait! Can recommend the murgi chilli masala if you like hot curry.
