SHAKEDOWN in Manchester

Food was left on the pass for too long, once finally receiving the food my hash browns came burnt not to hospitality standards and I thought u get 3 whole hash browns at box not 2 and half! Big juicy burger looked alright but not to the standard on the menu. Finally, staff was slow and not respectful when catering to my needs.

I would like to say that the staff are really nice the food is excellent and tastes great a would recommend people here for family meals my order number 001

Leah said it's 1 pound for sauce. But when a white woman asked for sauce she gave it to her for free. Pure racism. Not going there again ! Still haven't been contacted by the company regarding Leah being racist !

The beef smash burger was brilliant, one of the best I've had. Very tasty, perfectly cooked, piping hot. They have parking right outside the shop which is very convenient. Shop design is very nice and modern, pretty clean too. For some reason they don't let you order on the phone, which is not ideal. Prices are pretty expensive. Everything is halal even though this isn't openly advertised for some reason.

Hands down the best burger in town specially for beefed up! The patties are juicy, cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. The toppings are fresh and generous, and the buns are soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, making for the perfect side. The service was quick, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Whether you're dining in or taking away, this place is a must-visit for any burger lover!

Normally fantastic, disappointing tonight, minimal cheese and onions and luke warm. Not cheap and disappointed, will think twice about returning.

Good burger chain👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 They don't drench the burgers in lots of sauce and the chicken burgers aren't too salty except for maybe the chicken burgers, just on the slightly salty side. Sauces taste good, 😌 Milkshake are also good quality, nice and thick. Service is good as well, obviously if the takeaway is busy , might take a little longer for your order to come as they also get Uber /deliveroo orders coming through. They have a cute decor, it's not for massive crowds of ppl. Would have loved if there was an actual bin in the takeaway though Luckily I have an up to date pricing for the takeaway chain , as of 1/08/24, enjoy 😉 PS: Don't order from Uber / Deliveroo if u can as the prices for the food is inflated.

Waste of time going here. Awful customer service took ages meant to be fast food on a lunch break. No menu on the wall or any indication what they sell unless you ask for menu.

It's all in the name shakedown, they literally shake you right down in the pocket or bank account, paid for 2 burger meals bang average the clowns working for them don't know a thing, ordered a philly burger more like a rat burger full fat no meat and came cold had to get them to re heat it, didnt offer to make another fresh one disgusting it did look nice but as they say its not what's on the outside that counts its on the inside, not really bothered as won't ever waste money here again, best giving it to charities, not the owners so don't say I didn't warn you guys!?!?!?

Staff are all welcoming, food is sometimes longer than say a McDonalds but the extra 3ish minutes you wait is definitely made up for by the exceptional food.

Worst food iv had. I try my best to support places but the first time the cheeseburger with there special sauce something like a coleslaw was just not nice. Second time.. how can nacho cheese taste off? Its cheese sauce. The fries was awful. The chicken burger this time tasted off. The whole meal tasted weird.

Second time here. Wanted to try again as with first time, food was not nice. Ordered via Uber. American fried burger very small and received squished. Fries nice but chicken itself very salty. Buffalo loaded fries were ruined by sheer amount of sauce - which with chicken made food far too salty to eat and half had to be binned. Two bad experiences; won’t come here again.

Best burgers around ill go out of my way for a burger from here and I live all the way in warrington the staff are always nice and the milkshake is thicker than cement there perfect 😁

Used to like this place, nowadays it s scam... prices gone way too high for a burger and chips and service has gone downhill too. Just a money making scheme, to draw in local people which have limited food options and arent financially savvy

Had a burger and wings and both were so good I almost tried another burger, but I was helped to the right choice of a great waffle for pudding instead.

Placed a big order for all the staff at work, spent over £200 and to say we spend a lot of money, the customer service was awful. We ordered a pick up slot for 12pm, after waiting 40 minutes we get our order, go to check it and we are missing 2 burgers and 4 portions of fries, we questioned it and we got accused of only ordering that amount. After showing them our order confirmation (they refused to check on their system) they finally accepted to make the missing items, meanwhile all the other food is going cold, didn’t offer to replace, no apology, the manager just hid in the back and didn’t come to speak to us, just left a young girl to deal with the confusion on her own. Appalling, would NOT recommend.

Good food but customer service slacking recently. Got my order wrong the past two times. Accused me of lying. Won’t reply to the email following my latest order. I was once one of their top customers. Nice to know that customer loyalty means nothing here.

***AVOID*** Normally not a bad place for a burger. Shame my recent order had an extra topping of mould. Lettuce wasn't looking too good either. Staff who served me were very polite though.

Rabiya was at the counter if I can recall correctly, her customer service was really appreciated. The burger itself was good but probably not the price I would pay for it. Nice setting, would try other items maybe on deals/offers.

The food is of quality and was fresh when I went to collect my order. For some reason, I wasn’t a fan of the burger this time around but that is just personal preference. Overall, I cannot fault the quality of the food and it’s freshness.

Very Bad Burgers are not really Good, hard and chewy. I have had very good ones and cheaper elsewhere. Hence it was quite on Saturday night at busy hour. I will not come here again and won’t recommend aswell.

Breakfasts are top tier. Only thing is they need to open at the same time as Gregg's, and market themselves better on the industrial estate. Much rather support this place than Gregg's or McDonald's.

What’s the point of ordering to collect 25 mins ahead of time to have to wait a further 10 mins when you get there bc it hasn’t even been started yet? It’s a burger a chips how difficult can it be? For the price point I just expect better service or at least a sorry - at least the food was good.

Premium prices but you do get a great burger, fries and top class milkshake for your money. They also do 20% NHS discount which was a massive bonus.

Good parking outside, nice bright and airey dining area, friendly staff, had the double burger and skin on fries with stateside sauce. Burger was cooked to order and was delicious with the dip and fries. We will definitely be going back. A very pleasant lunch, thank you shake down.

How is it that this place has been open for well over a year and I'm only just finding out about it!? @ Marketing - Pull yer finger out! Surely this branch needs at least an A-board on the main road!? I happened to find this place after taking a detour to Whythenshawe Hospital (and I'm so glad I did). Looked it up on Google, saw the good reviews and delicious looking photos, and visited a few days later. Usually, I would only ever order a beef burger, but the chicken burgers looked so good, I thought I'd try something different - I ordered the Stack Sandwich Meal, with skin-on fries, smoky mustard and Pacha Mojito drink. Firstly the burger - I can honestly say that hands down this is THE BEST chicken burger that I have EVER eaten. Perfectly seasoned, full of flavour, and so moist - it was cooked perfectly, not at all dry, just perfect. The fries dipped in the smoky mustard sauce were divine. I could have continuously eaten the fries alone to bursting point. Oh, and the sauce is unlike anything I've tried before. Very tasty. Lastly, the brand of drinks on offer - I love that Shakedown have steered away from the predictable Coca-Cola brands and instead offer Pacha as an alternative (I'd never heard of the brand before visiting). At first I was a little taken-a-back not knowing which to choose, but eventually opted for Mojito. So refreshing and a very pleasant end to my meal. Without a doubt, this is now my favourite go to takeaway, and I'll be sure to point all friends in the direction of this place for a top burger. Nice work guys! Nice work!

The chips I had were great. Its just ashame there's no veggie burgers. I asked if they could put a hash brown in the burger instead of beef and was told no. I realise it's not aimed at vegetarians but a frozen veggie burger doesn't really use a lot of freezer space.

Very good burgers and good place if your picking up yourself. Shame they stopped the curly fries which the kids liked but regardless the food is spot on. Unfortunately when ordering via Deliveroo, food tends to arrive cold. Food is a little on the pricey side compared to others.

An incessant stream of swearing and complaining coming from the kitchen very loudly. So I won’t be returning and I will be warning others as overall bad experience and a place I really did not want to be. Took almost half an hour for food, which would have been good to know when I ordered the food.

Oh man, shakedown was fantastic - the shakedown deal was awesome, dips were great and the chips were 10/10. Definitely will be ordering again, rivals 5 guys and very good value for money. Highly recommend!!!!
