Shahs Halal Food Uxbridge in Hillingdon

I have been a regular customer for the past six months and have consistently preferred the Uxbridge branch over other locations due to its better service and food quality. However, my recent visit was deeply disappointing. Firstly, the staff was extremely rude, which was quite unexpected. Secondly, the packaging has noticeably worsened—on my way home, the box opened and sauces leaked all over, creating a mess. The portion size was also much smaller than what is advertised as "large." I have attached a picture for reference. Despite all this, I still ate the food, hoping it was just an off day. Unfortunately, it ended with an upset stomach, which was very concerning. I came all the way from Harrow—around 8-9 miles—just for your food, but sadly, this visit was not worth the trip. I understand that your business is growing and you're opening more branches across London, but please don’t let that come at the cost of food quality, quantity, or customer service. This was by far my worst experience with your brand. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements.

Don’t understand all of the negative reviews on this place if I’m honest. First time I ever ordered from here..I got the mixed meat with rice and it’s absolutely divine. The meat is so plentiful and tender..very tasty! Generous portions also. The only niggle I have is I have ordered white sauce a few times and it’s never been included?! I’ve called tonight to let them know. I’m very fussy with food and meat especially..but I actually feel addicted to Shahs food lately as its so tasty and I’ve kept ordering! I just wish the white sauce that I always order is included with my meal but it never seems to be. Edit (08.05.2025): after months of ordering from here - NEVER AGAIN. Many times there are items missing, mostly the sauces which you always end up paying extra for. Meat is tiny bit now, barely anything just a box full of rice/chips. Yesterday I ordered a mix combo over chips with white sauce. What I received was a box full of chips and chicken, no lamb, absolutely covered in this brown extremely spicy sauce. I cannot tolerate spice so it went straight in the bin. Didn’t even bag up my water. Justeat refused to refund…will not waste my time or money on this place again.

‼️This Branch NOT RECOMMENDED‼️👎🏻👎🏻 I’m shah’s customer for past 3.5 years, lived near the main branch at romford road for 3 years. Been to Romford Road Branch, Gallions Reach Branch, Ilford, and a couple of more branches. But this branch is worst branch. Deliveroo was not showing option to select all 3 sauces. Just to make sure should I order separately or they can add all 3 sauces like all branches of Shah’s do, I called them before order. The guy was so rude and said me call me when you order to tell me what to do. I called again after order to make sure, I gave him my order number and name and requested him to please make sure add all 3 sauces and make it medium spicy. He assured me that he will do that. Upon receiving order it was just green sauce by itself. Dry and salty!! I called again to tell him what he did and he again said me rudely, Next time order on Uber eats not Deliveroo.

I usually buy food from shah halal But today they gave me so less chicken there’s a lot of veggies and rice but less chicken that is very disappointed. I didn’t like it. I ordered one large and one regular bad service.

The workers are extremely rude especially one of them service is terrible ,they get aggressive when you ask them questions regarding the food.

Very poor now there portions are getting smaller and smaller we have ordered a large meal worth 10 pounds and we got a little bit of rice and 50 grams of chicken it's a total waste of money so avoid unless you want to throw your money away

I stopped by Shah’s today after previously passing by a few times and i was extremely pleasantly surprised. The food smelled delicious when walking past but it still exceeded my expectations it was very tasty and tasted fresh. The service was also incredibly friendly. Would recommend

Had shahs last night ended up throwing up the morning multiple times, have received food poisoning would not recommend this place, save your money and grab a pepes meal.

Shahs Halal is one of my favorite spots when I’m in Uxbridge. The chicken salad box and falafel salad box were both amazing — the salad mix is super fresh, and the hot sauce definitely brings the heat! Great food, great prices, and really friendly service. Can’t recommend it enough!

Good food, nice flavor & HOT CHILLI SAUCE!!! Reminds me a lot of halal guys but without trying to copy them. Solid food, never had a bad order from them. BEWARE - behind the truck there’s spaces to park, it’s private land a guy hides and as soon as you step out will take a pic and you’ll get a fine in the post

Pretty good flavours, only bad thing is they’re extremely stingy with the sauces, making the rice quite dry, they put a little drizzle over the lettuce that’s it

Order date: 11/01/2025 Food is good but the attitude and behaviour of the guys selling, is disgusting. I bought chicken with rice today. The guy scooped all the leftover crumbs of chicken to empty the dish. I said “by the way these are all the crumbs and proper chicken pieces”, the guy couldn’t take the fact I stated and became very rude. He said “ it’s not finished yet and when it’s not finished, you can not say anything”. I felt insulted and wanted to cancel my order but to avoid hassle, I didn’t cancel as I had paid already. Few months ago, I ordered same online, I requested to not mix red sauce with rice as red sauce is extremely spicy, rather just give it as a side as I paid for it. They made an absolute fuss that we don’t give sauce separately. I couldn’t really believe as what was so difficult there. Will not buy from these ill-behaved rude guys and will not recommend either.

They fill it up with rice and when you say the shahs less than 2 miles away makes much bigger portion, they get defensive and say they’re not the same. If they’re a franchise why are they not the same? They’re food is also not fresh. If you have a car go to the Hillingdon Shahs which tastes better and they give you much more protein.

They are offering Unbranded cola .. staff attitude is like selling for free .. shameless behavior Date 7th jan 25 Time: 14:15 Owner should take notice ..

Don't order from here on Uber eats. Ordered food at 11:40 and now getting my delivery 12:40. Better to collect then order delivery.

Here’s the updated version with your addition about binning the food: One of the worst experiences I have had. The first time I ordered from them, I noticed that the prices were sky-high—so expensive! Before ordering, I called them to ask about what comes inside the falafel. They said, “We put everything.” The person on the phone asked how spicy I wanted it, and I said medium—not too spicy. When I received the delivery, the food was cold, the bread was burned, and the falafel only had salad inside. There were no spices or sauce, and it was so sour that I couldn’t even enjoy it. I ended up binning it because it was inedible. It tasted terrible and was a complete waste of money. I called them again to complain, but the person on the phone was very rude, shouting at me. Then they said, “You have to choose,” even though they originally told me it came with everything. When I pointed this out, they hung up on me. If you can’t provide good customer service, you shouldn’t run a business. I will never order from them again. Let me know if there’s anything else to adjust!
