My wife and I tried the Balti and korma. Incredible quality. The portion sizes were great and cannot complain about the £25 meal for two. We had plenty of left overs. Definitely worth a try

The meal for two is fantastic! Delicious. Highly recommended the balti and jalfrezi. The only thing better than the food is the prices. Meal for two is enough to feed a football team

Had some really tasty takeaways since Shah’s opened (the Indian Railway curry is a particular favourite) but tonight’s was absolutely first class - Chicken Bhuna, Lamb Tikka Massala and a Karahi Akbori Special along with a Roti, Naan and some chips. Very contented family this evening apart from our Labrador, as there weren’t any leftovers! 😀

Ordered take away from meals for one, ordered 3 meals. Illuminous green dip and totally tasteless onion dip. Sorry to say that all 3 meals were totally tasteless. It really was the worst indian meal I have ever had, which the other 2 people agreed. I am really reluctant to write this as not everybody may agree with my summary. Maybe we chose the wrong meals, but having lived in India for the past year these meals were totally bland . Starters of onion bhaji were dry and uneatable. Rice was fine

This is the best Indian takeaway. An extensive menu... each course has been wow.wow.wow. FIve stars for quality, quantity, presentation, flavours. Each order we have had has been amazing. The portions are enormous... so much so, we always have extra left over and have it for lunch the next day.... tastes even better. We are working our way thru the menu. All so tempting. As for a favourite.... every dish is soooo good. I am going to say everything. We can highly recommend Shah Curry House.

We've had the 2xmeals for £20 deal from here now and unfortunately both times we've had problems with the order. First time I collected, got back to car and realised we had only 1 naan even tho I paid extra for another. Had to go back in and wait for it to be cooked. We gave it another go and this time opted for delivery. Was delivered by local taxi which was good, however exactly the same thing happened...Missing naan! Called to explain and they sent another one, in taxi again about 15 minutes later. Food is OK, huge portions but not the best we've tasted that'd for sure.

Although I love a curry I cannot tolerate hot and spicy food so usually end up with a bland and uninteresting korma. Shah's offers a selection of mild curries of which we tried the honey chicken and Sher khan which both were so full of taste they were amazing. Portion size was generous and the rice was tasty and well cooked. I can't recommend Shah's enough.

There is an extensive menu with some dishes which I have not seen before. We ordered by telephone and opted for delivery to Hopeman which cost £6 (not an unreasonable cost) Our meals for four people were most enjoyable, portions were large and we will definitely use this Curry House again. Well, what can I say about the Shah that will do it justice? While visiting Lossie for a couple of days we were advised to try the Shah by friends who’d been up previously. We were not disappointed, this is without doubt one of the best value Indian meals we’ve ever had, the food is wonderful, the portions are huge, and the service fantastic . I sincerely hope the locals realise what an absolute gem they have on their doorstep. This family run business deserves your custom every week, we’ll been back for sure. Keep up the good work.

I have had two previous online orders from the Shah and the food was delicious. This time was a family order for the start of school holidays. Food was pre-ordered before the Take Away opened through their website. Food was pre-paid and due for delivery at 1705. Shown delivered on their site at 1705. The food arrived (cold) at 1730, I live only .82 of a mile from the Take Away so not sure what they were doing for 25 minutes. Second thing is I ordered Chicken Omelette with Fries but the fries did not arrive. I called the shop direct and after 2-3 minutes of arguing by the staff on the phone they told me they did not have any chips. Can you believe a Take Away that doesn’t have chips? They told me this then hung up on me so not sure if I will be refunded for this.

We had a meal from the Shah and found it fine. There's a large and varied menu, the food was good and it was really quite cheap. No complaints

First night on holiday in Lossiemouth and how lucky was we to spot Shah's Curry House whilst picking up some items from the local CoOp opposite. It was a Monday and it was well and truly open at 5pm when we walked in to order...

We attended a wedding last weekend then stayed overnight. Beautiful food and room. Room spotless and staff went over and above for us all day. Really friendly

As someone one else has pointed out, it’s now called the Spey Inn. Was there earlier this week for lunch as in area and parents recommended it from a visit a year or so ago. It was quiet but we got a friendly welcome from the two members of staff. My parents commented on the size of the menu which has apparently changed and did seemed limited in choices. 3 of us ordered the Cullen Skink soup. It tasted fine but not much fish ands lots of potatoes. Three of us then had sandwiches, the Club sandwich was very good, well filled with bacon, tomato etc and was tasty. Me and my mum both had the egg mayonnaise sandwich. It looked different in that it was 2 whole slices of toast which I thought may have been included in the description. That said I can live with this, however what was very unusual and disappointing was the quantity of filling in these two sandwiches. It appeared that there was a smear of egg mayo as in the quantity of butter you would spread on a slice of bread (and in this case it was spread onto 2 slices of thick toast). Without exaggerating it appeared that 1 egg had been used to fill 2 sandwiches . The salad that accompanied it was nice and the fish and chips the other member of our group had was apparently good. We did mention it to the server who said he’d mention our views to the chef, but it just seemed odd. We also mentioned to a member of staff at an early stage of our visit, that there was no soap in the gents toilets (you could clearly see the soap dispenser was empty when you walked in), however when leaving some time later this had not been rectified, despite the fact the restaurant was not busy. It wasn’t a cheap lunch and it was fairly disappointing overall. Unless this was a one off, don’t think I would return.

Excellent in every way! We ate here 4 times in 4 days, 2 lunches and 2 evening meals. Good is fresh, delicious and decent portion sizes. The “Specials” truly live up to their name. Particular highlights included mussels in white wine sauce, haddock goujons and the brisket. 3 of us are coeliac and they provided us with an allergens menu. They had run out of GF bread/rolls some days but kindly allowed us to use our own. Service was friendly and staff happy to answer/clarify and queries we had. Small wine list with lovely choices to suit the cuisine. Highly recommended!
