What a fantastic find. A warm welcome given by all.of the staff and customers of this community run pub. We stayed for a weekend, and had the best hospitality. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The room we stayed in was clean and homely. We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Not at all welcoming. No atmosphere. It's a community owned inn, which is good, but sees more interested in it's locals. We booked by phone but when we arrived the manager (?) didn't know which table we'd been allocated. Other people were there to eat and a group of people were around the bar, all seemingly locals. One of our group went to the bar to order another soft drink, was seen to be waiting and then was completely overlooked/ ignored in favour of a local who came up to the bar clearly after him. This was really rude. My wife felt she was ignored too when she tried to buy a drink later. The food was good overall, though the meat in the pie contained pieces of fat / gristle in 3 of the pies we ordered. With hindsight, I wish I'd asked the manager/landlord for an itemized bill.

Heard this delightful pub was now owned by the local community so we booked in for Sunday lunch. We were given a lovely friendly welcome not only by Staff but by the locals.. Even our two doggies got a fab welcome! The pub was welcoming and very clean. Great menu and the food was delicious. I had the best nut roast there that I have ever had. My friend had the beef which she said was delicious too. Sadly we were on holiday so we wont be able to return until next year. Would definitely recommend this lovely pub x

5 people of ages ranging from 34 to 91 + 1 dog descended on The Seven Stars for Sunday Lunch. From the initial voicemail confirmation of booking through to the 2/3 course meal itself we couldn't have been happier with either the food (thank you chef) or the service. Oh by the way they keep an excellent pint od cask ale as well. I am so glad that we chose The Seven Stars for Sunday lunch whilst holidaying in this most beautiful part of the world.

Sadly our stay started badly as after arriving shortly after 5 pm the property was all locked up with no one at home. On phoning the answerphone us gave no indication of what to do next . A man sitting in the car park said someone might or might not turn up at 6 pm. We drove around the area until the place opened and eventually booked in to be told the Pub was now run by some kind of village cooperative . The room was adequate ,the food was ok and the bar was good with friendly staff and busy with locals. Unfortunately any constructive advice regarding minor alterations to their customer communication seemed to be denied as impractical . They have a lot learn in a very difficult environment .

Great little pub with a few very nice rooms. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our clean and comfortable room which was provided with everything you would expect. (The only upgrade we could suggest would be to the rather tired ensuite and occasionally noisy plumbing.) Parking was extremely limited. Our evening meal was excellent and we can recommend a pint of Butty Bach. Breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. As a community pub, we wish them well and can thoroughly recommend a stay

Unique in so many ways and a very cheery welcome. Bit out of the way but worth it, The Seven Stars is run by the community, set in an ancient building in a village dating back to 4th century. Our room was modern and cosy with a KS bed but soggy pillows, if that’s important, bring your own. Lovely evening meal and a great breakfast Would return

Lovely setting and comfortable well appointed premises. Food was excellent and staff engaging and friendly. However gravy and mint sauce came in dinky but wholly inadequate sized containers. Paused my meal to ask for more but staff did not reappear for the duration. Was able to ask for a glass of water when the food was first brought to the table but this was never forthcoming. Finally when the plates were eventually cleared and I asked for the bill this too was not forthcoming and after 20 mins had to go and enquire at the bar where I was eventually able to pay. In summary this restaurant has great ambience and excellent, value for money food. Halfway through the meal I was ready to give this restaurant rave reviews but the inattention from staff not asking if everything was alright let it down.

The best Sunday roast we have had for a long time. Tender pork and succulent beef served with excellent choice of vegetables. We booked in advance and a good job too as it was full, obviously very popular with local people supporting a community run pub. The young waiting on staff were so attentive, friendly and polite, a credit to them! We will be back later in the year without doubt.

Seven Stars Inn is an excellent village pub. The food was great, cooked by a talented Italian chef who likes to interact with the customers. The beer selection is good, but with Butty Bach on tap, what more do you need! The best bit about this pub was the friendly atmosphere. The locals really welcome you with open arms and are more than happy to tell you about the pub and the area. On the day of our visit the menu was limited to basket meals or baguettes / ciabatta or jacket potatoes, but think this was because they had a large party of walkers booked in.We had jacket potatoes (cheese & onion and cheese and bacon). This was no issue for us so we sat and had a couple of drinks at the bar before we ordered our food.Craig was such a colourful character that we passed the time so easily at the bar before our food was served. The food was fabulous - hot, huge portions, homemade and very tasty. Additional drinks and desserts were promptly delivered and even though the pub was busy Craig took time to sit and chat to us. The food is amazing and the portions are huge. Landlord is very friendly and inviting as are the locals. Really enjoyed our visit with our 5 year old son. They really go out of their way to look after our son with a great kids food selection. Dog and kid friendly. 3rd visit for us. Will come again next time we are down. Well done.

Lovely pub that was so friendly and relaxed. Food was tasty and a really good feed for the meat eater and vegetarian !Great hospitality in this tucked away pub. Dog and us will definitely be back when we are in this lovely part of Wales.

We visited the Severn Stars on Sunday 21st May 2017 and we very impressed with the service and quality of good. Craig was very helpful in arranging a vegetarian meal for my partner and when they arrived, the portions were huge and clearly homemade which is not what you find in some other pubs. They tasted great too. I had the chicken korma. We really enjoyed our time there and I would highly recommend it if you're in the area. It's situated in a beautiful part of Mid Wales with fantastic views!

We have been visiting The Drover's for around 25 years. As a full Family initially, now just the two of us. Peter and his Team never disappoint. The welcome is always friendly and we do enjoy a modest pre Lunch drink in the cosy snug out the back. The views of the river are spectacular. It was a bit chilly to be sitting outside on the balcony but one brave chap did take his coffee out there! The food, well, you can't call it 'just Sunday Lunch! It's a foodie treat! Plenty of beautifully cooked food. Always hot and tasty. The quality is certainly there as well. Cannot fault anything and the Sweets are to die for! The atmosphere is invariably pleasant. A good mixture of Walkers, Holiday makers and Locals. Thanks so much for everything over the years Peter. We're already in the process of booking next year's trip to Wales, so keep an eye out for an email soon!

Our first time here this morning. From the minute we walked in we was welcomed and seated. All staff were welcoming. Myself and fiancé ordered a full English, food was lovely not one fault and clear plates. I had a cappuccino which was tasty and perfect. We were approached and asked if everything was okay during our meal. We paid with cash and left a tip as we were very pleased. We will definitely be attending again on our next stay.

Great place to stay. A friend and I cycled to the area and stayed here overnight. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. The room is a generous size with all the facilities you would want, and you have access to an outside deck area with lounge chairs and table which is ideal on a sunny day. The breakfast was also lovely. The location was great as it’s a 5 min walk from 2 good pubs and a post office/shop

Great place and food. Came here after other places were booked up. I'm glad they were because we had a lovely meal.

Mock timber frame manor house retaining much of its character and charm. No lifts. Breakfast was choose your own pre-packed cereals with a cooked option. Dinner was a mini-taster with delicious options which we watched cooked on TV cameras. The room was clean but dated with an en-suit crammed in. High windows restricted light and views of extensive gardens and river. The staff were friendly and willing but lacked service training. Guests our age do not wish to be called 'you guys'.
