This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I absolutely couldn’t fault the place and the quality of service. Exceptional and exceeded my expectations by a huge way. Not only was the service impeccable but it was only outdone by the calibre of the food. We couldn’t have asked for better. Wow! Keep up the amazing effort.

Lovely food, we had the tasting menu. This is a hidden treasure, excellent value for money and perfect for a quiet meal. The wine pairing was also fantastic value.

We are staying at the St. James Club from our reciprocal club (The Queen City Club) in Cincinnati, Ohio (USA). Our home city is a refined and innovative restaurant hub, so our palates have become quite used to exquisite cuisine and the dinner we enjoyed at Francatelli’s did not disappoint us! Our starters, mains, and desserts were all delicious and the attentive service and quiet ambiance just added to the experience. Bravo/Brava.

Apart from one guest thinking it is acceptable to have the phone on loud speaker while other guests are having dinner, and forcing the host to call their attention to the fact, all was perfect.

One of the best restaurants and hidden gem in Mayfair. Love the food and ambience, first class service and best value for money. Will come again and would highly recommend to anyone who loves gourmet food !

My wife and I booked this as an anniversary treat, making use of a voucher I received as a Christmas present. Since receiving the voucher, the restaurant has changed from Seven Park Place into Franatelli and we were slightly apprehensive given some recent reviews. We have to say how wrong, in our opinion, those reviews were, which perhaps led to the very quiet lunch service and the only reason I knocked off one star for ambience. The service and welcome we received from Federico was exceptional, he explained everything about the restaurant, its philosophy and the food being served. We opted for the set lunch, which at £30 per head for three courses was truly great value and we thoroughly enjoyed every course. The wine menu is a bit pricey, but hey it’s Mayfair, so what do you expect and having said that we opted for the cheapest bottle of red at £36 which was very drinkable, the next up on the list was £68, so quite a jump, with a few bottles around the £70 to £80 mark, before you start getting into the £100+ range. I know many will not bat an eyelid at those prices, but just saying the cheap bottle was very good so you have a choice and at least we were able to enjoy a post dinner cocktail within our budget! I conclusion, we’d highly recommend Francatelli and if you’re not sure, try the £30 set menu, you can’t really go wrong. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Exceptionally good value tasting menu with wine accompaniment. The quality and presentation of the food is always excellent and service first rate - this really deserves to be far busier given the quality, price and location - it’s easy to find food and service at half the quality but twice the price within a 5 minute walk.

Menu was supposed to be based on Francatelli's cookbook, (Queen Victoria's chef), but only two items were from it. This was misleading. The restaurant had no atmosphere and looks dated. Only one other table was occupied. Considering the menu consists of mainly "British" traditional fare, it was outrageously expensive. The cocktails from the table list were poor and did not taste like they had been professionally mixed. However the service, and sommelier advice was first class.

I thought it was overpriced for what it was. Not a memorable experience.

This place was such a shame. £48 for a rib-eye and what arrived was a thin, void of any flavour piece of meat. I’ve had better steaks at flat iron. The whole point of a great ribeye is the fat, the bone and the marbling. This had none of it. My husbands ham was ok but nothing to right home about for £34. The cheapest bottle of wine was £65 which is ridiculous, I’m all for spending a lot of money on a beautiful wine, but having recognised quite a few of the bottles and then seeing the price tag, we’ve have the same bottle for a lot less in other restaurants. This is the restaurant time forgot, dated decor and not in an ironic way, stuffy service and zero ambiance. It was Friday night and this place was dead! Such a shame as I had such high hopes for it. We will never come back here. We were previously at noble dot for a drink and wish we had stayed there, where the wine was reasonable and the food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. There are 100’s of way more incredible restaurants that are worth your time over this place.

We have been coming here for nearly 10 years, our go to place for special celebrations and have seen William Drabble's cooking evolve in all its glory. Over the past few years many restaurants have struggled to survive, cut down their hours, reduced their menu choices and we have been delighted that our special place made it through the pandemic and the tough times of the past four years. When we lunched recently we found the menu had changed and was more about classic British food of Victorian times. Our food was delicious as ever, but more traditional, being based on the style of Francatelli, the chef who worked for the royal family - as portrayed in 'Victoria' on TV. I had a pork terrine, Chris had seared mackerel - both generous portions - followed by plaice - breadcrumbed and shallow fried, with bearnaise sauce, and Chris had ham, which was extremely succulent. We followed with tarte tatin. Service as always is superb and we look forward to returning soon and maybe I'll go for lobster next time! The wine list is glorious too, by the way. Expect to pay the price for great food and you won't be disappointed.

We highly recommend this restaurant - we went there for dinner and had 3 courses. The food was technically really excellent, we particularly enjoyed these two mains: monkfish and ham special with madeira sauce. The service was great and we felt very well looked after (thanks Salvatore, Federico, Nino and Sofia!). Good flow between the courses, without lots of waiting around. Very nice ambience too. Looking forward to returning!

The food was nice, but the plating looks where nothing like the pictures on the site, the service was way to eager. Every 5 minutes there was someone to ask us anything, within 2 hours we were out and about. We where looking for a Romantic evening, but felt rushed

This was our second time here. We went there before New year the food was excellent so we decided to go there to celebrate our anniversary. The service was exceptional, especially Sofia and Federico. Starters and Desserts were delicious but the main was a bit salty for Gammon Ham. However everything is excellent and we will be back again.

I first came when it was Park Place by William Drabble. That was the best French food I had ever had and I’ve dined at a lot of restaurants including La Gavroche Marcus, Joel Robuchon. Unfortunately Francatelli and the new menu is not for me. It doesn’t show off the chef’s amazing talent which is disappointing. Nothing wrong with the food but nothing memorable either. It will be for a different clientele. If Park Place comes back will be back in an instant.

We had a really enjoyable lunch. We chose from the a la carte menu as we didn’t find enough on the set lunch menu to excite us. We all enjoyed our meals; the steaks were really tasty and tender, the fish and it sauces terrific and the parmentier potatoes delicious. So much so that we asked for and were given the recipe. It was a very quiet restaurant, but the service was courteous, knowledgeable and most friendly. A wonderful experience.

While it was a nice meal with good service we were underwhelmed compared to the price and reputation. The ribeye had to be sent back as it was not cooked properly (on top of that it was very uninspiring to have a piece of meat blandly sitting on an unmemorable plate with a small jug of really not very nice sauce). The cottage pie was delicious. Otherwise, if we were staying at the hotel we would have been really happy with the in house restaurant - but I wouldn’t recommend travelling to it

Had the 3 course set lunch with drinks package £65pp inc glass of champagne, sparkling water, 125 wine and coffee. Excellent food and service, a lovely dining experience this was my 4th visit to this venue and will definitely return again.

Food was outstanding, had mostly seafood dishes (turbot, scallops, sole and seabass), everything was cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was very subdued, service lacked the typical razzmatazz you get in other Michelin starred restaurants. Overall very good value for the quality of food.

Expected it to be busier , staff were attentive but unable to deliver - wine flight with gourmand menu was unavailable and cocktails in the bar were apparently a new menu - menu a bit samey… good quality but uninteresting..

Only a couple of things I would criticise, firstly we got off to a bit of a bad start waiting for drinks and then one of the said drinks appeared to be forgotten. When this was brought up the waitress became a little defensive, which I didn't think was appropriate. The only other thing was the Christmas Menu could only be had if everyone at the table wanted it. I find this a bit strange, surely if there are two couples dining and one couple wanted to have it, then they should be able to do so ? If it was a party of two they could order it, so why couldn't one couple in a party of four? Apart from that the food was excellent, as well as the surroundings and atmosphere. I would recommend it.

Other than the Yule Log dessert all our food was delicious. The new (temporary??) sommelier did not know that St Julien is part of Bordeaux & tried to substitute a white Burgundy. The wine department really needs attention. The Maître D saved the evening but it would have been appreciated if someone had asked why neither lady guest had more than one mouthful of “the log” Loin of venison exceptional.

Food was excellent as always. It was a long time since we last went and the refurb was a calming space and a lot lighter. Service was good but felt I was left waiting for dessert a little too long. Saying that, we enjoyed our evening immensely.

Food and service was fantastic. Absolutely lovely meal and the cocktails were delicious. We had the gourmand menu with matched wine and each course was delicious and beautifully presented. We will go again.

In most places the meal we had would be described as pleasant and satisfying, but those with a memory of how things were can only look on it with disappointment. The dishes now are made for comfort rather than excitement. A crab bisque kept to crab and cream brings satisfaction but no gastronomic adventure. The cod and muscles was simple (though I prefer avoidance of the vacuum bath) but without innovation.

We came toSeven Park Place as part of London restaurant festival, and American express platinum. We had two starters here - one was salmon marinaded in molasses and brandy, and the other was a crab ravioli with a ginger and chilli broth. Both are delicious and a phenomenal in the presentation. Would highly recommend for business meetings, romantic lunches, and dinners out and family events are. The atmosphere and Service are impeccable.

It was delicious. Everything we had was fantastic. I had the mallard and my mom the grouse. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The tasting menu was also very reasonable in pricing. Highly recommend.

We had lunch midweek and the restaurant was very quiet therefore there was little atmosphere. I had the set lunch and my wife selected from the a la carte menu. The food was good, but not spectacular and the service was efficient, except that a side dish was forgotten, although to be fair to the waiter, this was removed from the bill without being asked.

The question was how did this restaurant manage to get a Michelin star? Frankly, the only thing which was good and tasty was my gnocchi in their limited menu! I then had smallest piece of unimaginative sea bass with only a few small peeled tomatoes! My partner had a dry pork parcel and a tough and dry ribeye steak for main. And our deserts nothing to write home about! The bill came more than £200 without alcohol! Very surprised with the whole experience. Will not go back again.

The best birthday experience! From the warm and welcoming staff, to the excellent decor and classic English menu, this was a 10 star dinner! They even gave my mum a birthday card signed by all the staff and sang happy birthday. Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely lunch. Our first visit and really enjoyed it. We had the A La Carte menu and asked for pairing wines. The wines matched the food perfectly. There is an exceptionally well priced set lunch with optional drinks package which seemed superb value for money so definately worth a try too. The restaurant was very quiet which was a shame as it affected the atmosphere; definately deserved to be busier. Staff were lovely.

The restaurant is rather small but it didn’t lack atmosphere. The service wasn’t the best unfortunately. When we turned up we were only offered the food menu and had to ask for the drinks and wine line list. This led to us being presented with cocktails with our first course of food - which for us, wasn’t a good combination. The Gourmand menu was nice, simple food but we felt as though it could have been improved with a few more dishes. Each course didn’t disappoint. The courses come out very quickly so we had to ask to slow them down half way through to avoid finishing the 6 courses in an hour or so. That said, the food was superb and didn’t disappoint.

Having eaten here previously, it was disappointing this time to have no amuse bouche or petit fours, very unusual for this class of restaurant. In addition, the French fries were very reminiscent of standard supermarket fare and clearly not homemade, again, underwhelming.

A real hidden gem! I had an absolutely wonderful evening here for my partner's birthday and I honestly cannot fault a thing. The service, quality, and attention to detail were phenomenal, and the food was outstanding. I will definitely be recommending here for any upcoming special occasions.

An amazing Menu Gourmand which had all the things we loved, exquisitely cooked and full of great flavours. William Drabble never disappoints!

This venue serves exceptional food and wine, with a service to match. We had the scallops, duck, and lamb chops. Could not fault any. Great wine selection too. The atmosphere is a bit dull, but it’s somewhat a mute point given the quality of food and service. Kudos to Federico and colleagues.

It is a privilege to be able to eat in this beautiful comfortable restaurant. We have been coming here for about ten years to celebrate special moments and have brought friends along too. I would rather have one meal here than three elsewhere - it's correctly priced for the wonderful food and all the other advantages it offers and we have paid more elsewhere for inferior meals.... it isn't cheap but it is excellent value. William Drabble is a wonderful chef, and the service is impeccable. I would go so far as to say that our lunch was one of the best meals I've ever eaten, and as I come fromt a catering background, I know what I'm talking about. We had the tasting menu and it was so accomplished, the ingredients were exquisite and beautifully and creatively prepared. This is fine dining at its best, real food, consistently excellent. We can't wait to return in the autumn.

I love Seven Park Place by William Drabble. It is one of my favourites and I take all my best chums! The staff always treat me very well and the food is exceedingly good every time.

The food is quite exceptional, but so is the service. Well worth the £65 three course luncheon with water, glass of champagne, glass of wine, coffee and petit four included. Very highly recommended.

I had not been back to Seven Park Place since the pandemic but a friend suggested we went there for lunch and I shall certainly be back again as soon as possible. The three course offer with champagne, wine and coffee and petit fours is perfection at a perfect price. Before the three courses chose from the menu, a duck jelly, cheeder 'cigar' and a bowl of homemade black pudding and a egg yolk were served first. The latter was divine and each of the three course were excellent not only in taste but particularly in the presentation. My salmon with beetroot salad was a work of art on the plate as was the dessert of poached peach with lemon sorbet and meringue sticks and various other elements. The red mullet main course had a sauce of liquid sunshine with multiple colours on the plate and the palate. A superb dish for a hot summer's day. The petit fours however showed what is really special about the cuisine here - things are presented with little extras that would not be missed but becauset they are there you know the chef is a perfectionist and food is thier art. The cherry in a chocolate cup for example had a little edible stalk made of chocolate. That was superfluous in one sense - it would have tasted just a delicious without - but the fact that is was there made it perfect. The same could be said of the gold leaf in the centre of another one of the petit fours. The service was also amazing. Within a minute of my ordering sparkling water it had arrived at the table and was constantly topped up throughout the meal without asking. Frederico our waiter was excellent and had just the right balance between both efficiency and charm and even predicted that we would like some more bread to wipe up the remaing fish sauce on the plate. Sergio (or Serge? apologies if I got the name wrongly) the sommelier also selected a superb French white to go with the fish. Finally Frederico gave us both a packet of coconut marshmallows to take home and I only realised when I got to the tube station that I took his pen which he proferred for me to sign the bill. I shall return and return the pen to him!

Classic British food with a modern twist, very well prepared and extremely delicious. Service was attentive and we had great time celebrating birthday.

This restaurant is consistently excellent. The food is of high standard and it is beautifully presented. The staff is largely Portugese who deliver a very high service level with delicacy. This is a restaurant to which we will return.

A small but nicely appointed space adjacent to the bar and lounge, the restaurant is intimate and romantic. We had the 9 course chef's course with the wine tasting course as well. The food was beautifully presented and quite tasty. Each wine pairing was explained by the sommelier and every one was spot on as a course accompaniment. Service, while excellent, seemed a bit rushed. We could have used more time between courses, mostly to process the wine and discuss the meal. In total, on a Tuesday evening, there were a total of 8 people, including us. Seems a shame for such a nice experience.

I had a business lunch for two at Seven Park Place today and I can highly recommend the experience. The restaurant has the right balance of space and background noise. The service was professional and precise but still friendly. The cooking and quality of ingredients made for one of the best meals I have had this year.

Seven Park Place is a beautiful restaurant that based on what I saw, attracts a sensible clientele who manage to conduct themselves well. So no obsessive selfie-takes and those who are on their phones. The restaurant is sumptuous and beautiful - a bit like Ormer...

We dined at 7 Park Place for my wife's birthday and were very pleasantly surprised with the food and service. Decor is old fashioned but in a reassuring sort of way but the food is modern and delicious. Couldn't fault the 3 courses we had and were served by Lara who was a delight, lovely personality.

Posh and boring , could have been a bad night but just lacked anything to make it memorable - nice staff

I would have given it a 5 star but the quantity was far from being sufficient. We understand it is nouvelle cuisine but this wouldn't have been enough for a chihuahua. I am small and not a big eater but I left the restaurant still feeling hungry and that's not right.

Arrives a little early and was seated with no issues. Had the tasting menu and everything was PHENOMENAL. Each dish was magnificent and the presentation, and explanation of each meal, was great. We were made to feel like a private dining experience. They remembered that we were their for our 6 month anniversary and activities gave us a card at the end that was signed by the staff. Wonderful experience and will definitely be back next time we are in London.

The dining room of the St James's Hotel is a very comfortable place to be. The service is kind, efficient and attentive. The food is very high quality and deserving of its Michelin recognition. The wines by the glass are few in number but the red wine chosen was excellent. This was our first visit. It will be repeated. It is certainly recommended. It is a little expensive but the cost is justified by the quality.
