My sister and I were attending a family occasion and wanted to find a cafe for a cup of tea as we had an hour to spare. Lucky for us we found the honeybee house tearooms. It was extremely busy but the welcoming staff found us a table and we ordered Narnia hot chocolate. The most delicious hot chocolate I have ever had with a lovely Turkish delight flavour. Thank you so much to the friendly staff we will see you again next time we’re in Cardiff as we need to try your cakes.

We chose here based on previous good reviews & it exceeded our expectations. Lovely warm welcome as soon as we arrived, we both opted for the full Welsh breakfast & both were delicious with fresh ingredients, attentive service during our visit with nothing seeming too much trouble. I think this may be a firm fixture on our itinerary when visiting our son at University over the coming years.

From the moment we stepped in the door, we were made to feel very special. Excellent customer service. The coffee and cake we had were absolutely perfect and the place was spotless. First class thank you. We shall make this a regular place for coffee/tea and cake.

Been here a few times before but never eaten here. Went today with my daughter and decided we both would have the soup. Very packed at 12 o'clock when we got there . Managed to sit on a table booked for someone else at 1pm. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We had leek and potato soup and it was so good. Huge bowl of very hot soup with a roll. There was a number of specials too. Wish I'd taken a photo. We have booked a table to go back next Friday and will certainly have another lunch. May I say it's spotlessly clean in there and so oldie fashion but lovely

Wonderful cafe with so much attention to detail paid. The staff are lovely, the decor is gorgeous and it is beautifully clean. Another delicious lunch! This time we had quiche- roasted vegetables and the St David’s meat option. Really tasty! Shared a portion of homemade chips! Such a friendly place and having it locally is an added bonus!

We went here this morning having seen this place on TA and we’re not disappointed. There is a great atmosphere here, it is reminiscent of a WI tearoom of the 1940/50s. Everything here is a testimony to the effort that has been put in to this place. It has tons of bone china, great decor, fantastic cakes - all homemade to recipes that have been honed over the years, fast service, etc etc. Here’s a detail for you - they only cut chips when you order them to prevent them sitting in water. The detail is what makes this place. It does get busy here and parking is an issue but it is really worth it. We’ll be back soon. Thankyou

Había una jarra de agua que personalmente amo, ya que odio tener que seguir pidiendo agua (aunque sé que lo habrían traído en un abrir y cerrar de ojos). This place never fails to impress. Had afternoon Tea with two friends as a Birthday Gift and will def return. The Staff, food and ambiance make this little tea shop very unique. It was our first visit and the atmosphere was so relaxing-it was just stepping back into a bygone age. The meal was beautifully served, the teapot had a tea cosy so the tea stayed wonderfully warm. Sue and Laura, Mother and Daughter, the owners, are so welcoming.

Everything about this place is quaint and charming from the tea cosies, the the cup and saucers. Basic menu, good tea the type of place mum or Granny would be happy to go to. Playing world war era music, very charming.

A perfect tea room - 40s and 50s ambiance and decor, delicious homemade food in more-than-generous helpings, friendly staff. Every item - the decorative plates on the walls, the tables and chairs, even the teapots and cruet sets - has been bought individually and obviously with love. Nothing matches, but that just adds to the experience. My wife had a cream tea - enough cream and jam for 2 scones, and a proper pot of tea under a knitted cosy - and I had a good coffee, a slice of the biggest homemade corned beef pie I have ever seen (the slice was enormous too - so big I shared it with my wife) and a massive slice of Victoria sponge. If you want to turn a cuppa or lunch into an experience, I can think of no better place to go!

I live half a mile from this splendid little establishment. Have walked passed hundreds of times and never given it a thought. Then a dog walking friend told me about how he pops in to have lunch, loves the food and the wonderful friendly atmosphere created by the lovely ladies who run it.

We went for high tea, What an amazing experience we had they catered for all our needs and our 4 year old daughter felt very grown up with her own tea pot of milk shake and her own food l. Highly recommend this place will definitely be going back

This is a gorgeous venue for afternoon tea or a small event. We booked the whole cafe for a baby shower and it was perfect. The venue was beautiful and we were allowed to bring our own decor too. The food was lovely and the special diets were catered for. The owner and her daughter Laura (the mother and daughter team) were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and they were very welcoming. Many thanks to Sue, Laura and their staff for organising a great birthday brunch. Our large party ranged from the 90 year old birthday girl to a 21 month old. We all loved the home cooked locally sourced food. This cafe is a real gem.

Visit this cafe on a regular basis for lunch after trying many cafes in Cardiff North and in my opinion Selah is the best. I have tried most of the sandwiches, baguettes and panini's and there are daily specials of hot food like lasagne, soups and pies. Everything is fresh, homemade and always done to a very high standard, never had a bad meal. My favourite is the coronation chicken and the lasagne when I want a hot meal, they are both delicious. The cakes are very good, tea and coffee always made well too. Only thing to say would be the food is very traditional and not adventurous but it is done extremely well! Reminds me of how Nan would make it, would love Selah to offer a roast on Sunday it would be amazing! Overall, they have a very good product here and will definitely be returning for many more lunches!

During a family roadtrip through the UK we decided to make a stop in Wales & searched for a lunch spot to make it special. Sue & her gorgeous daughter 100% delivered, with the warmest, friendliest welcome, delicious food & the most wonderful atmosphere - when they couldn't provide the dish all our mouths were watering for, they apologised profusely & sneakily slipped us piping hot Welsh cakes. The tea room is just so delightful & despite being packed to the rafters, the personal service & lovely conversation just made this trip an absolute highlight. CANNOT recommend highly enough!!!!

I had an excellent afternoon tea here with 4 friends on 13 July 2019. The staff were relaxed and friendly. The cafe is decorated in a vintage style which fitted the afternoon tea perfectly. The sandwiches were deep filled and tasty with good quality ingredients and the cakes were amazing. I've never eaten such a tasty plain scone and the chocolate brownie bite was divine! they also went out of their way to reassure the mum-to-be that all of the food was suitable for pregnant women and they provided a vegetarian option for another in our party.

We love cozy tearooms with traditional fayre to take our clients to on our small group tours and Selah was the perfect stop! Laura planned everything out so well and everything was delicious especially the lemon posset! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and loved the ambience and how delightfully the tearoom is decorated. What a wonderful stop!
