Really nice food and service was good 👍

Went in for some lunch today after a walk around the park. Not able to order sandwiches off lunch as none left?. Other foods like fish and chips could not be ordered as fryer broke. Big queue to order food, with hardly any staff. Food ordered was mediocre at best. Tired surroundings and filthy toilets. Staff on duty were running around but doing their best. Will not be going back. Very poor standard from Green King and letting down such a lovely village location.

Completely unsafe place for women. Staff members made my friends and I so uncomfortable. Such a shame it used to be a lovely pub back in the day.

Waited 1 hour and 30 mins for half of our food with some of our group getting only one or two things of their order the waiters blamed it on how busy it was but it was literally dead when we ordered the food at the start and was a Tuesday night. when the food came just boiling hot and hard microwaved food put me off wanting anything else

The layout is large and roomy . It's looks like it needs a refit. It looks very worn feel . Food is over price for what u get . Lots of food items aren't available. (Fish &chips)Soft and alcohol drinks are very expensive. Bar staff look very fed up working there .

Vine aquí para una cita nocturna. Una buena comida y bebida. Conocí a mi novio allí y aparqué mi coche en el aparcamiento. Tuve una comida decente y me divertí. Una semana después recibí una PCN por estacionar sin pagar. Estaba oscuro, así que no vi el aviso al entrar y pensé que, como cualquier otro pub en el que he estado, sería aparcamiento gratuito. He tenido que pagar £ 60, ya que no quiero que afecte a mi calificación crediticia. Estoy totalmente fumando y por eso nunca volveré a ir aquí y no lo recomendaré. Llamé al pub y les pedí que me llamaran por esto. Nadie llamó. Estoy absolutamente disgustado.

While working and on my travels I popped into here for a coffee. What a great place very friendly atmosphere. Harry served me, very nice friendly young guy. Pleas call in even if it’s just for a coffee 😊

30 of us called in after work, including 12 wheelchair users and we were made more than welcome by the manager Tom and his staff. The Sefton pub is the most accessible place in West Derby village for which we are very appreciative!

Great breakfast with good quality coffee. Friendly service with a pet friendly area which is ideal with Croxteth park just being over the road. Good parking which is free when purchasing on site. Overall good experience and we do visit often.

Great value hearty breakfasts. Lovely friendly staff and excellent service, within 20 minutes. Free parking too. Becoming a Saturday tradition.

I wasn't very happy with my l had Lasagne and Salad with two slices garlic bread l can honestly say it wasn't worth the money and when l was asked about the meal l told the Lady Lasagne wasn't very nice she said they never have complains before since coming home l have been sick and needing to go to the toilet that was the only thing l had eaten today

I enjoyed the food even though the children's portions were small it. Was a nice experience. The staff were polite and helpful I came with a family of 22 and the food came out within 20 minutes. I definitely recommend coming . But maybe buy extra chips for the kids

Staff are always polite but however my friend tried to eat a dish she ordered and she did"nt get any resolvement from the manager. I had my dinner and eaten half again I was"nt impressed with my dinner. We always go with our kids and enjoy a meal but unfortunately not tonight. Don't think we will eat here again.

Came here with family, I’ve never had any problems when coming here, Gemma, Is an absolute credit to the team. Service was amazing, very helpful, and a really lovely Manager. Food as usual was brilliant. Everything presented beautifully. 10/10!! Will see you again soon ☺️

Great for breakfast, good value for money

Weve been a few times and the food is really bad. Mixed grill is terrible, only meat that was ok was the gammon. Had the small plates too. Came out cold so they microwaved them up which is bad. Chicken strips might as well have been just deep fried breadcrumbs. The food took ages to come out and it wasn't even busy. When a member of staff came over and tentatively asked if the food was ok, I said no not really but we've almost finished. I got a smirk and they just walked away. When staff appear rushed off their feet, I tend to just not return again instead of making a fuss. Plus we had guests and I felt it was embarrassing to have to complain. So, instead, I just won't be returning and will advise others not to either.

Friendly staff, great food, even at busy times. We attend the weekly quiz and always have a great time with no trouble.

Food was average wouldn’t go again

A lovely family meal last weekend. The table had been booked by a family member and was reserved for us on arrival. The lady behind the bar was very polite and both staff members we ordered with (at different stages) ensured we had put our car registration into the tablet for the car parking requirements. Food was delicious and plentiful on all 3 of our different orders and whilst we were warned food may take a while due to party size we believe it arrived fairly quickly. The lady waiting our table was also polite and friendly when I asked about the child’s dessert that was preordered in with the meal. If I could give an extra half star I would, but the loss in (half a) star was for toilet facilities which could have been a little cleaner/better maintained. We would return when back back in the area.

Visited on 19/10 24 for food and drink with my son, didn't see sign regarding parking in car park or any information inside premises. Received today £100 fine or £60 in 14 days, which my son paid immediately in a panic before I got home from work. Subsequently I have been informed by the staff in the pub there is now nothing that can be done. Be aware people. Disgraceful. Never again, thanks Greene King.

Went in half term with my 3 grandchildren and they really enjoyed their meals and desserts. Service was quick and really friendly and really patient with the children. Plenty of room too so not sitting on top of the next table. The lady who I think is the manager was chatting to the children and asking them about their meals. Nice time had by all thank you

Popped into pub to meet associates for an evening drink. First time in the beer garden which is very spacious with lots of seating and tables to wine and dine outside on sunny days. Service was OK. But not enough staff behind the bar so had to wait awhile to be served. The pub was busy and lively. Can't comment on food due to not ordering none. No pictures to show unfortunately.

Ordered a sirloin steak , it was full of fat £15 down the drain !!! I was very disappointed, told the staff but there not interested won’t be coming again !!

Lovely pub, always had a really good experience when going here. All the staff are always really nice especially Courtney who will always go above and beyond, an absolute delight to be served by her.

Big mistake coming here. Waited ages for the food to arrive, so long that some of our party had to leave and cancel their meal. When the remainder did finally arrive there was all kinds missed off the meals and one of the cancelled meals also arrived which was wasted. Staff seemed rushed off their feet which explains the wait and the meals not prepared to the description. Either stop serving food when your priority is service at the bar or get more staff instead of relying on the people you have to be overworked. Shambles UPDATE: Responded to the request to email them as stated below. I sent them a message stating what happened during my visit and, 3 days later, am yet to receive any reply. FURTHER UPDATE: An apology was offered and my phone number was requested to "make things up" to me. I replied I was comfortable continuing to correspond by email. Not heard anything since.

Great pub. Great place to watch the football or go for a night out

All day breakfast was out of this world would highly recommend a visit I shall visit again soon when I'm in Liverpool

Would not recommend this place. Very anti family. Spent over 20 mins trying to order food at 19:45. Only when I tried to order a kids meal I was told that kids are not allowed after 20:00. No signs or notices saying this. I would suggest look elsewhere

Ordered via the app, food arrived with no cutlery, waited and waited for drinks, approached a member of staff who was quite dismissive and said “ oh you’ll wait ages if you ordered on the app “ my friend then stood at the bar for 15 mins to ask for our drinks… visited this pub lots of times and always been pleased except for this visit! Was very disappointed

Lovely service from Tom today, great atmosphere and lovely food.

Enjoyed it! A mixed crowd of old and young, The PUB GARDEN is a massive sun trap! 🌞 And there is plenty of space to sit in it as well! They have a new menu, good pub grub that'll keep you going, don't expect London style restaurant stuff as you're clueless if you do, but it's a good plate of food that soaks up the beer and I enjoyed my Burger topped fries side! Haven't tried the Sunday Roast yet, but as there is competition for this in the area, I would hope it's good! I'll be back to the Sefton Arms soon!

What a fabulous, friendly pub. Food was outstanding and great value for money!! Fabulous views & setting! We were lucky enough to book a weekend there, so lots to do in and around it, including a fantastic steam railway.

Gorgeous well kept beer garden. Food comes out at a decent rate. I still wish you did even remotely healthier options of food instead of all things deep fried. A salad wouldn't go amiss. 2 on the menu and both unavailable.

Been drinking here years then went in last week there's a dog sitting on the table drinking out of a bowl disgusting for this to be allowed no respect for people who don't have pets or people eat there it's just wrong so we All left

Visited for quiz night, lively and good atmosphere

Most of the staff are great, especially the servers. Food is slightly better than the Standard (also Greene King). The burgers with blue cheese taste like they have blue cheese on, unlike those served up at the Standard. BUT..the ladies loo is the worse loo in the Village. No hand drier (broken)loo paper on the floor, water flooded floor, no lock on the loos, no soap in the dispensers. Basically, it's a disgrace. You're serving food for christsake. Clean the loos. So, my advice is to go to the Standard down the road, or to Amo up the road. Much cleaner experience. Pity, tho, as staff here in the Sefton are more pleasant than at either of those other places. Amo staff can be particularly miserable. Its your choice, I guess.

very nice place and an amazing service

Such a warm and friendly environment perfect for families, havin a quiet drink or goin with a group. The food has always been piping hot always happy to accomodate when needed.

I really enjoy visiting this pub regularly with my friend. We've been regulars here for years. The staff come and go but they are always friendly. It sometimes gets a bit noisy but we're usually ready to leave then anyway. The food is always enjoyabl...you get what you pay for. I did have an issue a while ago however when my daughter and I had the hunters chicken and we both got food poisoning. I was extremely ill for 3 days, my daughter wasn't quite as ill as me. When I recovered I went to the pub to speak to the manager. He was a young cocky lad with plenty of attitude. When I told him what had happened he smirked and gave no comnent. It was clear that he wasn't bothered. More recently my friend and I visited and although there were plenty of posters about the pub saying that vaping is not allowed, there were several people at the table in front of us clearly vaping and none of the staff addressed it which was dissappointing.

We had a family meal here on a Saturday afternoon, 21 of us all together. I haven't had such a nice sirloin steak in a long time, not one bit of fat and cooked perfectly (medium rare) The chips were crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, perfection 👌 The pub got really busy towards 5pm as people were coming in for evening drinks but still a friendly atmosphere and not much wait at the bar. Didn't manage to take any pictures of the food due to it being a big family meal.

Went there Wednesday about 3 o'clock ok quite time of the day but even so the place is drab no atmosphere over priced paying top price for a second class pub because of were it is it thinks it's the best in the village don't think so 👎👎

I had the vegan katsu curry, it was awful, just inedible. The breaded vegan chicken pieces were horrible, the chips were under cooked and the rice was over cooked; the curry sauce just tasted like regular Chinese curry sauce. My first set of cutlery I was given was dirty, but I had that changed. Nobody asked if the food was okay otherwise I would of just told them then and there it was inedible. We just ended up leaving and won't ever go back or recommend it.

Very loud tv screens all showing different sports all on tooooo loud everybody had to shout to be heard.

Nice meal, reasonable price. Breakdown in communication as we ordered 3 small plates as starters and 2 main courses but they all turned up at once. Make sure yoy state as starter if required 1st

The barmaids were amazing, everything fantastic. Fruit machine robbed me of a fiver. I told the staff I wont be back to collect that sum so put it in the staff jar. Then the screen said collect, the staff member lunged to switch off. Dissapointed, I would have said press collect and put in staff glass. Ruins a good night everything else was great. Dissapointed when preying on someone you assume is more drunk than is. £5, I tipped and complimented more. I spent about £32, group of 4 £100+. No food, only lager 👍

Great pub good friendly service

I encountered a problem and gave a poor review. In a very short time Tom the General Manager contacted me. He promised to rectify the issue I had raised and did exactly as he promised. The problem could have been avoided, and I guess both parties were culpable. Tom reacted quickly, kept his promise, so I retracted my comments, and will definitely eat and drink at this location again. Thanks Tom.

Was told the food would take half hr got starters with was lovely. Then 1 hr 20 mins later we asked how long it would take it then come mu mixed grill was a show freezing cold .my partners burger freezing really bad to be fair. The staff was nice think they was embarrassed about it didn't touch any the food and they gave us a refund straight away.couldnt really give the service a better score although they were lovey as soon as a party entered all staff concentrated on them I'm 💯 sure our food was left standing as soon as we asked were it was it came out

On arrival, we were told only breakfast till midday??? We were served straight away at the bar and ordered 2 breakfasts and drinks. The food took over an hour to arrive at our table. The food looked okay, but it was so bland, it was cheap. Did not reflect the price....... I asked for a side plate for my bread and was given a tea saucer. I wouldn't eat there again. The toilets were a mess stains all over the walls and bins, lots of stuff on top of the toilet roll holders.

Average experience. Food was average pub grub but prices are reasonable and draft had an ok selection. Music was a bit too loud which made conversation harder. Would I come again, sadly probably not unless it was convenient like this time.
