Secret Supper Club Quorn in Charnwood

This “secret” service has been so popular that they have moved out of Quorn into a larger kitchen in Loughborough. In fact, they are so popular that they can’t get enough delivery drivers! This means that they offer nice incentives for collection (for us it was a cheeseboard). Small portion sizes allow me to manage most of the courses on the night and have just enough left over for lunch. All delightful. I recommend checking the menu in advance so that you pick the night to order with the menu that you will enjoy the most. Quite a lot of packaging. Unavoidable in take aways? Could it be reduced by packaging for two people in one container (for those people placing orders for more than one person)? Or would the logistics become too tricky? The food and service are excellent. The packaging is the challenge.

I don't know how we have missed out on this for so long. The food was really good. 10 small dishes and really really tasty. We collected our order from Loughborough as we live close and it was very well organised - collection means we had a lovely cheese course free instead of paying the delivery charge. We are definitely going to have these 10 small plates again next month and we are looking forward to trying the post pie night.

I'm honestly shocked that these guys don't have more reviews. The Secret Supper Club was one of the few bright spots to come out of the pandemic. My SO and I were only able to try them once before moving, so this review is a bit dated, but it was a fantastic meal. We had their posh pie and pud option, with the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. While it was a bit pricier than we would normally spend, it was well worth it for a date night with great dinner. The process was very clear, the food arrived right on time, directions for how to warm some of the food if it needed it (i.e. a dessert that might need to be warmed if you wanted to take your time with dinner), and I appreciated how proactive they seemed to be with maintaining COVID protocols. I'd recommend Secret Supper Club to anyone.

The secret supper club make gourmet meals in their kitchen and then deliver them to yours. If you live in Quorn they deliver for free. If you live nearby you can collect your meal yourself or pay for delivery. The delivery times are in half hour slots so a small number of drivers can deliver in the area. Thursday night is 10 small gourmet plates. These change weekly so check out the website for details. Saturday is posh pies and puddings. Sunday is Sunday lunch with trimmings. We had the 10 small plate taster menu. The instructions were helpful (like put the oven on at 80) and everything arrived clearly labelled. Every dish was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. As it was takeaway there was some plastic packaging but most was paper, foil and cardboard. I would recommend and will certainly order again.

I was skeptical when I got a flier through the letter box stating that I could get Michelin quality food delivered to my door at prices I could afford. But having heard excellent reviews from neighbors, I took a chance, and I discovered that the Secret Supper Club lives up to its claims. The food is sooooo lovely. It's freshly made with with quality ingredients. It's plentiful too. I've ordered twice now - the taster menu and pie and veggies - and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. It's really easy to order online and to pay using a link they send to your phone. You get to choose a 30 minute delivery slot. You do have to pay if you live outside Quorn - for me (within 15 minutes) it's £3.99, and you would have to check how much they would charge beyond 15 minutes. They respond quite quickly to texts. I do find this charge a bit high for the distance I live from their base, but I'm too lazy to go to Quorn and collect, which is another option. They've been on time for both my orders, and the delivery drivers have been nice.
