Had a drink and food was okay. Locals pub in back streets of Barnet

Myself and a friend only popped in for a couple of drinks. The bar side is quite small with about 6 seats at the bar, a pool table, a couple of big TVs for the sport and a nice beer garden outside. There's also a restaurant on the other side of the venue, but I haven't checked that area out yet. The girls serving the drinks were nice and friendly, and the Guinness is good 👍🏻

A good pub for a pint. No kids are running about. Not keen on their real ale selections. Otherwise, a good local.

Megan and her team did an amazing job of looking after us all for my husband’s family birthday bash. We were a large group and were able to have the restaurant side of the pub exclusively for us. It was such a lovely evening! The food was delicious and staff couldn’t have done more to help us. We will definitely be back to eat again soon. Thanks for having us!

On 19/01/2024, we held a 'Wake' in the restaurant side of the pub. The Landlady Megan was very accommodating. Prompt service at the bar. The 'Hot food Buffet' was excellent. The homemade 'Spring Rolls' were lovely, as was all of the freshly prepared food. The excellant decor and ambience of the venue is that of a long established locals pub. As newcomers, we were all warmly welcomed in our party of just over 30 persons. We highly recommend the Sebright Arms in Barnet as an excellent venue for any function. We felt welcome to return at any time for a pint and something to eat. Thankyou Megan for making the day run very smoothly.

Brilliant place! Turned around under the supervision of Megan, who is so friendly. Service is quick; food is delicious. They offer wonderful child friendly events, music nights and quizzes too. What’s not to love? Something for everyone. Get yourself down here.

saw that this place had star rating of 4.5 stars thought it would be nice place to eat sadly very disappointed broccoli hard pork well undercooked burger did not look good was not eaten the best thing was the roast potatoes will not be going back but nice staff

Had a party here for our son who was made redundant. We had a buffet and was so delicious everything was eaten. Can thoroughly recommend the food. Staff are welcoming, polite, friendly, and professional. Children loved playing in the garden. Thank you for a wonderful, friendly evening.

Moved to the area a few months ago and wanted to try out the local pub to us. We were warmly welcomed by 2 barmaids Meg & Sophie. We felt the pub overall had a really friendly atmosphere, like a traditional local pub. We ordered a beef curry & chicken burger and both were really tasty. Will definitely we visiting again

Avoid at all costs! I had the unfortunate experience of visiting the Sebright Arms today. From the beginning I thought I’d walked into a faulty towers experience. The manager was unable to make coffee and then told us the machine was broken, most drinks we asked for were out of stock. It then gets better, we ordered olives from the menu ‘while you wait’ and they took over 90 minutes to arrive when we asked the waitress she rolled her eyes and said the chef was working through an order.. I mean olives seriously ! We then asked the lady who worked their and she had us so much attitude I’m unsure why she bothered to turn up to work when she was unable to crack a smile and everything we asked her seemed like a major chore. I can’t believe in 2022 I’m still writing this but their VEGAN roast contains dairy cheese! The irony is their menu says try take allergens seriously but they DON’T! As a vegan I was offered a ‘veggie’ burger without a bun which took over 2 hours to arrive. I wouldn’t mind waiting if the food was good but it was AWFUL everything was oily and disgusting. Customer service was severely lacking and the staff require training before they make somebody seriously ill with their reckless cooking and ingredients and lack of understanding of dietary requirements. I’d never return to this place.

Service was the worst I’ve ever encountered! Ordered olives which stool 90 minutes to come, & that was only after we complained. Starters took even longer. Mains eventually arrived another hour later. One meal had been forgotten. Vegan nut roast had cheese in it & gravy that didn’t taste any different to the gravy served with the roast dinner. The lady behind the bar obviously didn’t enjoy working there. She was rude & didn’t even reply when I said thanks as I was leaving. Only my husband paid before I came back inside, I would only have offered half of the full cost. On a plus, the Yorkshire pudding was massive!!

Good food. Nice staff. Good atmosphere. Enjoyed my meal here. Nicely hidden away pub. Felt welcoming. Will come back again.

This is our "local" and Lukasz and George, the managers, make a great team. We most recently took our family for an early Christmas lunch in the first week of December, and as usual, food, drink and atmosphere were amazing - perfectly cooked food, more than generous portions, a real log fire, attentive and friendly service - what more could you ask for? We also regularly get takeaways from the Sebright and they are always first class, as is the beer! If you are in the area, go to this pub- you won't be disappointed.

Really pleasant local pub, with a garden. Quiet residential location, so walking distance for most patrons. But easy to reach and parking roundabout, in the evenings and Sundays. Good food, decent array of beers on offer. A good location to meet up with friends for an afternoon or evening. Cross section of ages etc amongst the customers, so no-one should feel out of place.

Had a wonderful chicken Sunday roast, very ample portions of meat and veg which were absolutely delicious. Kids meals were very large and free ice lollies for the kids on a hot day were a nice touch. Great friendly service, new management have made this a fantastic little pub and we will definitely be back!

Ordered 2 roast beef dinners which we were looking forward to. Unfortunately the beef was very very chewy. Just at the potatoes!

The best Sunday roast around- big portions and well priced. We've also had their burgers & ribs which are also delicious. Friendly staff, good service, fab outside seating area and the owner is lovely. An absolute gem in Barnet.

The new Landlord Lucus has totally turned this lovely local pub around. The food is great, the play area is epic and the new outdoor tent looks gorgeous especially at night with the pretty lighting.

Got some fantastic fish and chips from The Sebright Arms last night. Proper pub chips and the fish was absolutely spot on! You can tell that the new owner is serious about his food, will be going back again soon!

Good local, home cooked food and a decent wine list. Real fires. New owner deserves support.

What a fantastic hidden gem in Barnet and a lovely warm greeting from Lucas the new landlord. It’s been redecorated, has a great atmosphere and is children and dog friendly. It shows all the football along with the six nations. Highly recommended to pop in and see for yourselves .

Great to have the Sebright open again, we had a great evening there on Friday

Just visited the Sebright this evening to find out it's under new management. We took our two Cocker Spaniels in and were met with a very warm welcome by landlord Lukas. It's great to see the place open again and looks to be in good hands with Lukas. I can highly recommend it.

A rather strange little pub on a backstreet of Barnet. Perhaps if I visit another couple of hundred times I'll stop getting weird looks when I walk in. By then I'll be a regular! That's all you seem to get in here - regulars! Paltry choice of ales, but the prices are OK.

Good food. I ordred bangers and mash. The portion was huge.Not very busy or full but very pleasant.

This pub is under new management, and I couldn't be more happy, because it's a great boozer that has been crying out for someone who knows what they're doing to take it over. Fortunately the new landlord Jason is exactly what the doctor ordered. The beer is kept well, the staff are friendly and efficient but the icing on the cake is the food. Davide the chef is excellent and cooks fantastic, tasty food and the portion sizes are great. I have just finished the "Wild Quack Breakfast" and it was amazing. Thank you guys, I will definitely be returning.

Very friendly and pleasant owners. They take a lot of initiative - great decorations on Halloween and Christmas! On one of the days, offered our little one a Sunday roast on the house when he woke up. :)

We came straight up to the bar upstairs after a gig and they refused to serve us after ringing the bell once, i think they want to go home early. Service was with a grunt, as opposed to a smile. Gig was bloody great though.
