Seasons Restaurant in Rotherham

Really poor, especially for the cost. The waitress didn’t know what food was actually available from the menu, then brought out the wrong starter, and we had to wait ten minutes to flag the error due to being wedged into a tiny space upstairs with all staff members AWOL / not appropriately staffed. 2/4 mains very disappointing, risotto tasteless and bland - it was inedible. Offered one free dessert as recompense, none of us were interested in trying anything else given how poor the experience had been. Feel totally ripped off, absolutely not worth the money.

Went for the bottomless brunch today, highly recommended. Great food, drink and services. Highly recommended 👌

Lovely food bad service. We got our food and asked For some more gravy as the potion size of it wasn’t great and they forgot to bring it out which lead to us to ask for it again. We got our deserts brought out but no spoons and when we asked someone to bring some they got slammed down on the table. They were all thick, If I wanted to eat with monkeys I’d go to a zoo!

Food was good. Service ok. Bit slow offering drinks and extras. Atmosphere awful tables too close together couldn’t have a private conversation.

Our first visit to Seasons as a last minute Saturday night treat. Enjoyed a superb dinner which was well prepared and expertly presented. Would definitely recommend and revisit. The food was delicious, with the duo of lamb being really tasy and cooked topink perfection, althugh perhaps its portion size from the meat perspective was somewhat small for the £24 cost. The waiter service on arrival and at the table was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Our table waiter was approachable, helpful and made sure we were looked after well. We were placed upstairs for which the waiter apologised, but I think we possible ended up preferring this as downstairs seemed somewhat loud with music and chat, and the tables were very close together. Upstairs there were only four tables, well spaced, and because all four table were occupied and the open walls enabled the downstairs buzz and music to filter up the 1st floor, the atmosphere was fine, although had we been up there alone I suspect it could have felt a little isolated. The decoration and lighting is lovely. Dress code seems to be smart but relaxed - ladies could get away with an LBD but would be equally comfortable in something less formal. For the guys jacket and trousers seemed to be the majority choice. Really enjoyed our evening. Excellent food, excellent service at an acceptable price point for the type of dining. Would recommend

Great atmosphere, fantastic live singer on and the vibes were immaculate. We came for the Tuesday Supper Club which was great value and the food was great. Sea bass and the prawn cocktail were highly favoured. Service was good, however they could have been more attentive with taking the glassware from the table. Would definitely come back!

Update June 2024 Attended for an event that was cancelled. No attempt to let us know. Not a good start. The food is excellent. The service continues to be awkward. Update Better this time. Food was much better Food was average. The team seemed tense to me. Early days so maybe will settle down

It wasn't my idea of fine dining although we did only visit for lunch , which was standard/ average food . Lunch menu is uninspiring .

Didn't experience any of this friendly service mentioned in other reviews. Was just normal. Self defined as fine dining, but it was just OK. The duck skin could have been crisper in my opinion. Portion sizes are too small, even for fine dining. Waitress didn't even serve our water or wine, just plonked the bottles on the table. Was OK for a first visit, but won't be making it a regular. For the price, we've had better meals and experience elsewhere.

Definitely a stand out restaurant in Wickersley and Rotherham. Food is delicious the steak with the huge onion rings is a favorite. Service is really good and the welcome is warm.

Nice food and good service. But the tables are far too close together, I have never been so squashed in in any other restaurant. Other reviews have mentioned the same. They are clearly trying to maximise profit but it is at the expense of the comfort of the customer.

They went out of their way to accommodate my dietary options as I was on a soft diet due to an operation. Thank you for the help and the food was brilliant!

Works Christmas do. The food was fantastic 😋so was the service. We all really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the only time available was 5.30pm so was asked to leave at 7.30pm as the table was booked for the next guests. Would recommend.

Had the turkey festive meal on Friday 1st December, had to send it back as it was cold, even the second time wasn't piping hot, was disappointed as this was only my second visit and the 1st was much better. Would you not offer some sort of compensation as a goodwill gesture to make sure I would want to come back???

Staff lovely and the atmosphere great. Medium rare steak was blue not cooked long enough, I requested gluten free expecting GF onion rings , but they were just removed, and the fries needed a few minutes longer. Nothing that made me complain , but when you charge £36 and offer GF options you need give them, and know how MR should be cooked. The puddings wine and other menu items were nice. Shame as its a cracking venue with great staff.

My friends brought me here for my birthday. We all enjoyed the food, I had salmon it was cooked to perfection and the sauce was to die for!! Staff were friendly and the decor is stunning. The only thing I would say it was a little uncomfortable temperature, it felt cold and my friend had her coat on and so did others on other tables. Would ho again.

Went on a Thursday evening for the first time and had the early bird menu. This was great value for money! Not loads of choice but catered for a few common dietry requirments. I like less choice, makes decisions easier and i get less food envy hah. The service was fantastic, very tentative and helpful. The air con was on and turned off quickly when we mentioned it was too cold. To top it off, they had a resident Magician who was brilliant and really made the night. Would come back again!

Although the food was excellent, the portion of Seabas was extremely small, and the amount of new potatoes were twice the size of an expected portion, leaving us to wonder if they had run out. We gave comment to the waitress. Overall it was very good, and wouldn't stop us from returning

Lovely atmosphere, service provided was fantastic... with the exception of an error on the bill with a main meal appearing twice. Bill for 2 having a 3 course meal and a bottle of red came to just over £120... pretty typical price for the area Had the pork belly starter... superb. However the medium rare stake was closer to blue than medium. Fat chips, sauce and onion rings were excellent. The chocolate pudding desert which comes in at £10 or there abouts, similar presentation to a microwave pot choc pud from the coop or similar. The banana bread cheesecake (or something along those lines) was excellent. It was a lovely evening, still establishing and could do with developing a few items on the menu further. Very nice venue, good wine and excellent service from the waiting staff.

Fantastic Quality of produce, and well cooked and served in a great place. It’s not the cheapest but fantastic value for the produce they sell, worth every penny. Cannot recommend enough.

Just had the nicest Sunday lunch I’ve had in 30 years. Delicious in every way with huge portions (platter) as well. Service by the front of house team was also exceptional. Will certainly revisit

It was my good fortune to take over the whole restaurant for my Birthday. Everything was fantastic and could not praise the attentive staff too much. It is now the place to go individually or for your special event or occasion. I recommend it !

Dropped in for a beer and Sunday dinner, and can thoroughly recommend if you have not been before! Food was excellent (and fast!) and the staff were really friendly and attentive. We sat outside in the courtyard which was also dog-friendly

As usual on Saturday, we always take guests to Seasons when we are having people to stay. We have absolute confidence that it is always a true fine dining experience without the shocking prices. Always great value for money.

Best place to eat - new favourite restaurant

Superb Supper Club. Booked here for my sisters birthday and had such a fabulous evening... Attentive friendly staff but not overbearing, quick service and the food was so delicious. The amazing Darcy entertained us all evening with her outstanding voice, singing a wonderful playlist. Could not fault anything and can't wait to return. Thank you for making her birthday so special, free drinks and a personal rendition of "Happy Birthday" from the lovely Darcy, my sister was mortified with the attention but admitted she'd had the best night. So, again thank you.

A lovely Sunday dinner here, good portion sizes and good value. I’d recommend a side order of cauliflower cheese as it was lovely. Quick service, in fact, very quick to sit us down when we arrived and had our drinks order taken almost instantly. Nice surroundings, I think I would like to come back here in the evening and have drinks/dinner again.

Had a wonderful time, this was our first visit for a family birthday, and it was made very special by all concerned at Seasons. Went here last night. Food was amazing, but what stood out was the steak it was cooked to perfection. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Will be back again soon.

We had a great meal of tandoori pheasant and crab to start, beef bourguignon pie and venison for mains. All of which were excellent. Decided to have expreso Martin's instead of pudding. Again excellent. Great service throughout.

Really lovely, good food, wonderful ambiance~ there was a singer entertaining in the background. The service was absolutely top. We will be back . Expensive but Tuesday is the cheaper night.

Have visited on numerous occasions in the evenings and always had a wonderful meal/experience.First time for Sunday lunch and sadly I won't be returning. Two of us had the sharing plater @£34 a head - you would think that when plating this up for 2 people you make sure that each serving is multiple of 2,not 3 or 5. The roast potatoes were poor ,too big so didn't roast enough the Yorkshire puddings were well done,the veg was ok as were the other trimmings. The other three members of our party had 2 courses,it was a good job we got extra portions of vegetables as a dinner being served with 1 carrot and 1 parsnip just isn't good enough The meat was of a fair quality but again nothing special. The puddings were very nice but all in all for the best part of £200 a let down. Feels a little bit like the high standards set by our previous visits are stating to slip,all in all a let down.

Great beef. Carrot and coconut soup?? Nicer than it sounds. Atlantic pale ale. Always worth a visit!

First visit to Seasons restaurant yesterday evening for Tuesdays supper club. Was beyond expectations. Fabulous decor. Delicious food. Attentive staff. Will certainly return. A very big thank you for a delightful evening.

Visited on a Thursday when the amazing magician made an amazing night more special. The food was brilliant. The tandoori pheasant starter and the chicken main were superb. The creme brulee always a favourite but even better with the fresh fruits and ginger shortbread biscuit. It's not cheap to eat here but it's worth the money.

The decor and staff were lovely but the menu was really disappointing. We were expecting fine dining as advertised but were given a very limited pie menu. Value for money was very poor too, 18.50 for pie and the tiniest veg portion (1 broccoli and 2 leaves of greenery), paid for a side of chips which was £4 to only have been given 5. Other tables were saying how misleading the menu on the website is. We came out for fine dining not pie night!!

I’ve eaten here twice recently, Saturday night and Sunday lunch. Impressed with the service and food on both occasions. Well worth a visit 👍🏻

We visited Seasons because the Courtyard was being decorated. We had the Courtyard lunchtime menu. Was very busy and quite disorganised. The restaurant was lovely though, very modern decor. I had the rump steak ciabatta which was delicious. My companions enjoyed their food too

I went with friends for lunch, the restaurant has a beautiful interior, and serves fabulous food by very professional lovely staff. We paid about £30 each for 3 courses and every course was beautiful for all of us. I am booking again with my husband.

Our 1st time visiting here. Had the Christmas 3 course meal for £28. It was phenomenal food at a very reasonable price. Had a thoroughly amazing time and I would highly recommend and we will DEFINITELY be returning!!! Well done to all staff. You should be proud of all you've achieved here.

Great food...friendly staff. Definately worth a second visit. A bit more expensive than some places but quality deserves the price. Dropped a star because the cheesecake was not really that special but I'm a bit of a cheesecake fan!

Went for some food there last week. On arrival we was the only ones there. The atmosphere was dead. The food was alright, nothing amazing for the price and the "fine dining" experiance. My freind got the mushroom panna cotta started and it wasn't nice at all. It was a pot of clotted cream with raw mushrooms on top. Probably won't be going back which is sad because the decor inside is lovely and it could be a really popular place.

Just want to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff at Seasons for making my 70th Birthday that little bit extra special. We were a private party of 16 on the mezzanine floor and there was just enough space without being uncomfortable, although we did have to have 2 tables but it wasn’t a problem. The cuisine as always was first class, as well as the children’s menu with perfect choices, the kids loved their naughty plates!! Excellent service by our lovely waitress and timing spot on. Decor & ambience is as good as any top restaurant in London if not better. Would like to see some changes to the menu especially the Starter courses, probably because we’ve worked our way through most of them! Nice to have a fabulous restaurant on our doorstep, if you’re thinking of booking, do it, you won’t be disappointed! See you all soon. Best Wishes, Judith & Tony Bennett.

It's a relatively expensive experience where the service doesn't reflects the cost in all honesty.. As nice as they are, all the staff are young and seemingly inexperienced and unfortunately can't deliver the quality or timely service I'd personally expect to have as this kind of restaurant. At the bar: it took literally 10 minutes for a round of 3 bottles, 1 pint and a cocktail.. At the table: served with dirty lipstick glasses. Took over an hour for the food to come out, they missed a side order and said it would take 5 minutes to prepare - 20 minutes later it still didn't come so we just canceled, as finished our meal. Maybe it was a bad day for them? I definitely won't be back after that experience.

Have now eaten twice at Seasons, both lunchtime and evening and whilst the food was O.K. fine dining it wasn't, and both times at the end of the meal the coffee machine was inoperative so no coffees and liqueurs. Especially loved the part of the lunch menu where it's stated that each meat comes with it's appropriate gravy, we ordered different meats and got one small amount of the same gravy, only a small thing but it's trying to be something that it isn't. Further to your reply, here are the details you requested, unsure if this is the correct forum but here goes. Our first visit was in the evening of 5th May 2022, a table for 4, at the end of the meal coffees were ordered but then told only instant was available as the machine was out of service. Second visit was lunchtime 10th July 2022, again ordered coffees but then informed that the machine had been taken out of service for a deep clean due to the restaurant being shut the following day, there were other tables occupied so presumably they wouldn't be getting coffees either and this was about 2 hours before closing. Both visits were for special occasions, joint birthdays and a wedding anniversary which made it even more disappointing.

First time at Seasons and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. There was a varied choice of both food and drinks. The restaurant itself is stylish and the staff are attentive. The best meal we have had for as long as I can remember!

We have just had a great anniversary meal. Meal was fabulous, atmosphere awesome , steak succulent, malbec marvellous only criticism the plates great size but the plate texture was uneven & scratchy when using a knife very irritating.

Visited last night to celebrate our engagement and it was just amazing! Couldn't fault the management and the lady who served us was so nice! The food was amazing and just the atmosphere in general was amazing! 🙂 Thank you for making our night so special! ❤️

Very good food was nice the building looked nice the service was good overall this is a 5/5. we had venneser as are waiter she was very nice and kind and had a laugh.

Visited on a Saturday for a late last min lunch . 3 of us had lobster brioche 1 had lamb burger. All meals were lovely the dessert looked lush what my daughter had. Very nice staff gorgeous decor we will visit again for sure. Loved it !

Went yesterday, and was all made to feel special! 5 adults and 2 children was seated upstairs, its roomy and decor is beautiful. Food, service, and presentation was absolutely fantastic, making exactly what the children asked for too. There is no rush either, we were there well over 2 hours , staff are so lovely and knowlegable Definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant!!

The food + service here is excellent. Prices are more expensive but you get what you pay for. Cant wait to visit again

Dined here with friends, the food was second to none, a great atmosphere and lovely staff. Brilliant entertainment provided by Afromagic helped to make for a truly enjoyable evening. Will definitely be making a return visit
