Excellent choice of food at a great price. There are not many places where you can have Indian, Chinese, Seafood or Steak! A gem of a find - so much so we’ve booked again for before we go home.

WOW!! Was not expecting the variety and outstanding quality we found here. We ordered Indian, Chinese, and Italian all in the same meal and all were absolutely delicious. Good food demands to be recognized and this restaurant is fantastic!! I have no photos because we wolfed it down too fast!!

I have eaten here several times and the Indian food here is excellent. Tasty fresh and satisfying. The staff in my experience have always been excellent and friendly which is lovely when you are in for business from out of town, its nice to have friendly faces. I have ventured off the indian menu once and probably won't again as it wasn't quite as good.

Good food and portion sizes were very satisfying however customer service was a bit crap with waitress shoving food down on table and not speaking to us bar asking out order and telling us the price off the bill.

Esto fue una sorpresa muy agradable. Teníamos Indian y fue muy bueno. Por el precio razonable tengo que decir que era verdaderamente excepcional. Los camareros eran geniales y había suficientes de ellos incluso en un sábado por la noche atareado.

Excellent meals thoroughly enjoyed by party of four, prior to going to An Lanntair for the Phil and Ali concert in August. Both menus - Indian and European - were tried and could not be faulted. Prompt service, despite being busy, nice pleasant atmosphere, and very good value for money.

This was a really nice place was nice and bright inside. Great choice of food I chose from the Indian menu whilst my husband had from the traditional menu. The Indian food was beautiful the nan bread one of the nicest I have had and the vegetable korma was very tasty indeed. The restaurant was so busy it is obviously very popular

Stunning view and friendly, efficient staff in a small family-run hotel. The quality of food was excellent, but fully grown humans may wish to order two main courses each, such was the rather miserly amount of actual food - scallops and monkfish respective.y - on our plates. Top marks for presentation and taste, but would have loved a little more.

We came across this place as it was recommended on North Harbour restaurant’s Facebook page and boy we were not disappointed! We had the lobster and chorizo bisque and scallops to start- both of which were out of this world. For mains we had fish, which was fresh and beautifully presented and the venison steak which was so soft and juicy. Ginger and date pudding was a glutinous extra but we couldn’t resist how good it looked on a neighbouring table - fluffy, tasty and rich. :) We can’t wait to come back already!

A good cafe for breakfast and lunches serving basic fare ( everything with chips !) and home baking. Open from 8.30 am until last food orders at 3 pm. I had a bacon and black pudding roll which contained a substantial slice of Stornoway black pudding. Waited 20 minutes for it despite the cafe being almost empty. The cafe has an outdoor deck with views over the sea and it is adjacent to the Kilbride campsite. It has free WiFi.

We ate twice at Scarista House Restaurant during our recent trip to Harris. We have dined here before on previous visits over the last 20 years and this year it was better than ever. Beautifully prepared local food. First menu - Twice baked cheese soufflé, followed by Stornoway landed hake in a delicious sauce and some delicious vegetables. and then a chocolate roulade!. Second menu - goats cheese, courgette and cheese raviol with a nettle pesto (amazing!) followed by local hand dived scallops and the most delicious lemon tart with excellent pastry, lemon verbena ice cream and a strawberry and pink peppercorn coulis. Fabulous! Highly recommend the cooking here! An absolute delight!
