Stopped lunch time on Friday 31st March 2023, I was sceptical as there was no chippy smell, ordered chips, and had to wait for a very surly man-who said nothing-to put a few chips in the frier. There was a sense of foreboding as I was the only customer at lunchtime, and no chips frying or ready🤔 After eagerly awaiting my chips, I adorned them with salt and vinegar and took them to the car. The ‘chips’ were absolutely disgusting, with 25% being black inside the chip. There was no ‘chip taste’ and we have eaten at many chippies in Lowestoft with no previous issues These were either frozen/reconstituted and we put them in the bin. This business is in need of an in-depth viability assessment, and indeed, whether this man should be working with the public. Without doubt, the worst chips my wife and I have ever experienced

Friendly service but rather expensive and one medium bag of chips between two seemed rather mean when cod and chips twice were ordered. I expected a portion of chips per person. The cooking and batter were delicious but I fear value for money was not a scoring point. There was a somewhat air of organised chaos about the place. We would have liked to give it four stars but good is what we would score not very good.

I had a lovely piece of haddock with great chips- good portion size too. My husband had battered sausages, local butchers sausages which looked amazing. Our most local chippy and we’ll definitely be back.

A lot of folk waiting when we came here. We did finally get served. Fairly standard fish & chip shop. Got a shock when I got my bill as was more than I'd asked for .He said he charged his battered fish by weight. £1 more for dinner. Wasn't worth arguing with him as was hungry. Alas, another Carlton Colville fail....

I've been here quite a few times now... They are by far the best fish and chips I've ever had... The proprietor is very friendly and polite and so are his staff... I always have haddock and chips and it is so delicious and there's plenty of it... It's great value for money as well...It's always wrapped up well and placed in a paper bag... A few times I've eaten outside on the picnic benches which are provided... I totally recommend it here.

the food is a good value for money. Staff friendly, Good choice on the menu. Slower table service during their busy times ( to be expected or maybe hire more staff for these times) It was great to see tables provided for disabled customers, We...

The Pakefield Morrisons Cafe is like that in Cromer and others we have tried to eat in recently. They are dirty, under staffed, what staff they do have are gormless and not interested in having customers. They can never offer a full menu and often the equipment is out of action. Years ago these were very good value and under rated. Now they are to be avoided like the plague , dreadful depressing places. Do us all a favour Morrisons and close them down.
